As it starts drying down the creamy caramel really comes through and intertwines beautifully with the vanilla cream and marshmallow, and remain nicely throughout the dry down. I also get the warm tonka and the woody and earthy notes of patchouli, cashmere wood, sandalwood, and vetiver, which add a nice depth in the base. The notes that are the most prominent on me are the vanilla cream, marshmallow, candied pear, rum, bubblegum, caramel, tonka, patchouli, and cashmere wood. This is sooo good! Very feminine, flirty, and playful! Even though it’s flirty and playful it’s not juvenile, but a delightful grown candy vanilla. I’ve always thought of it as similar to what a mixture of what Vanilla 28 and JPG La Belle would smell like. This fits perfectly with the other Kayali vanillas. Vanilla 28 is my favorite, and seems to be the center for what these are based on, so I thought I’d write a little bit about how they compare. Vanilla 28 is more warm, decadent, sexy, and deep. Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar comes off as a slightly brighter version that’s much more flirty and playful. Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli is the much more rich, deep, sensual, and decadent version. I also consider these next 2 along the lines of the vanillas, Yum Boujee Marshmallow and The Wedding Silk Santal. The Wedding Silk Santal comes across as more romantic and chic with its musky, woody vanilla, and YBM comes across as a sweeter, fluffier, and super yummy, more marshmallow and strawberry centered version of VCRS. I’m a huge Kayali fan, and currently own 18 of their fragrances, including all of their vanillas, except Vanilla Oud (which I have yet to try). My top 5 are Yum Boujee Marshmallow, Vanilla 28, The Wedding Silk Santal, Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar, and Yum Pistachio Gelato. I also really love Maui in a Bottle and Maldives in a Bottle, especially for the summertime. YBM and Vanilla 28 easily make my top 5 fragrances in my entire collection! For reference, some of my other favorite marshmallow and vanilla gourmands (besides what I’ve already mentioned) include PDM Oriana, Kilian LDBS, Princess, Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid, Burberry Goddess, The 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods, YSL Black Opium Le Parfum, Black Opium Glitter, D&G The One Desire, GdT Celeste, JPG Classique Pin Up, Valentino DBIR Ivory, JHAG Powder Love, Ellis Brooklyn Marshmallows, Phlur Heavy Cream, SDJ Summer é Amor, SDJ 62, SDJ 39, VS Vanilla Lace (OG), BBW Beach Nights, Boardwalk Marshmallow Clouds, Fireside Flurries, Whipped Honey & Vanilla I get exceptional performance with Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar. The longevity is impressive, it lasts throughout the whole day, and I can still smell it the next morning. The projection is very good, it radiates out at least a few feet from me. I only need a few sprays for this effect, so I do consider this to be a good value. Just as a last note: The bottle is absolutely stunning with its gorgeous pink opalescence and diamond cap! It’s actually my favorite bottle in my entire collection!

I love this. Tried a few Kayali fragrances that seemed up my wheelhouse and this is the one I'll be purchasing and that I think is worth having in my personal collection. It lasts long enough without being cloying. It's in the gourmand wheelhouse (pear is there too, I love the boozy marshmallow combo) without making you feel like you're in high school or being reminiscent of those kinds of smells. It's just grown-up enough for an adult, but also maintaining that gourmand real sweetness touch. Perfect everyday, can be used as a signature. I'd lean towards more daytime and chill, sunny days. It's also one of the few real gourmands I think work for spring and summer (just like la belle as well...) It does have a lot in common with La Belle but I also love La Belle so I don't mind. This is the perfect mix of boujee marshmallow and vanilla 28. Tbh, I might even describe it as the middle sister between Pink Sugar and Black Opium. Will be purchasing despite the high price. Great one. I don't find it as sweet as that, in all honesty. I find Burberry her and Yum Boujee Marshmallow sweeter. This one is mostly a pear-forward fruity one with some booziness, the sweetness is just in the background. Edit: I purchased the bottle and this is eerily similar to some of the fruitier editions of La Belle. So if you love La Belle, this is definitely a safe blind buy.

ok, so when i tried this fragrance for the first time, i knew it smelled familiar. imagine v&r's flowerbomb, but sweeter and no patchouli. that's vanilla candy rock sugar! in fact, i cant sense any notes of musk or a woody essence in the dry down. it's purely cane sugar crystals and fancy candied fruit! this is a fragrance i can detect on my skin and clothes for most of the day. great wear time for such an incredibly sugary fragrance! i really don't think one can compare vanilla candy to body sprays or inexpensive dupes... it has the lasting power of a good quality eau de parfum. im seeing comparisons to jpg's la belle here. i own jpg's la belle, it's one of my fav perfumes ever. la belle has these deep, darker notes in the dry down. there's this syrupy blend of leather, sweet red wine and warm mulling spices. photorealistic poached pears. definitely not the type of notes present in vanilla candy. la belle is a more of a higher-end, mature evening fragrance, in my opinion. it's not as bright and bubbly as vanilla candy. i blind bought a dabber duo of this fragrance paired with yum boujee marshmallow. i would def consider a full sized bottle of vanilla candy when i run out of the dabber.

i may be one of the only few people who absolutely adore this fragrance. i think it's massively underrated, bc it seems to get a lot of hate, which i cannot fathom. it's hard to find the words about how much i love this perfume. it's the perfume that got me into the world of perfume. it opened the door, enveloped me, took my soul and covered it in sugar. there's something about it that's so nostalgic for me, and when i first sniffed it at sephora, for some strange reason the vision of a deep overcast, misty day with a chance of a rainbow came to mind. a vision of pink, colorful candy in the sky. i'm wearing a hoodie on this overcast day, keeping me cozy and warm, with this perfume sprayed on it, filling me with comfort and sweetness. i smell this perfume and i instantly swoon. it's so complex, rich, sweet, deep, warm and multifaceted, like i can smell all its layers one by one. it's spiced, not spicy, like a hint of cinnamon. i already used up the bottle but i think it might buy it again. out of all the perfumes i have, this one for me has my heart the most.

if i were to describe the scent, to me it smells like a really warm and almost syrupy hug, but not too suffocating of one. the rum notes are not as prominent as it dries out, and the vanilla is not bitter, nor do the woody notes stand out to me at all, which is why i think this scent just breathes in so easily. the marshmallow and pear harmonise perfectly with the jasmine and sweeter notes which is why i think this is such a beautifully crafted scent for those looking for more girly perfumes. on a scale i'd say it leans more towards mature teenage girl sweet sugar perfume lol my one down side with it would be the atomiser on both the FB and travel size, because it leaks(?) when i spray it, not to mention the spritz itself is just a straight stream of perfume onto my skin and a stain on my white clothes, and i'd like to believe this is not a skill issue but product design :( regardless the perfume still does the job, i would prefer if it didnt leak all over the bottle and into the cap. it's still my best scent though, love it to bits :D

This has very quickly become my everyday base fragrance, I love how sugary and sweet it smells without feeling too chemical or saccharine. Gourmands tend to sit very well on my skin, so while I can see how it would be overly sweet for others, it dries down a lot more subtle and mature on me but still with a very strong vanilla, sugar, and tonka base. I don't get the bubblegum or jasmine notes as strongly or clearly as I get the others, but this is a fragrance with a LOT of notes so my nose could just be jumbled. The caramel and jellybean notes are very pronounced to me, it really does smell like a bag of candy! It's incredibly easy to wear and easy to reach for, and lasts all day on my skin and especially on my clothes. My most complimented fragrance and very nice as a base layer for other gourmands or lighter musk/floral scents. Very sweet, woody, and playful, my favorite from Kayali!

Why is it always the people who haven’t even smelt a fragrance hating on it already? It’s weird to vote it down when you haven’t even smelt something. It ruins it for the rest of us who want to see an honest rating and review on fragrantica. Why even bother commenting a hate comment? It’s a perfume for god’s sake. If you don’t like it, then there are a million other fragrances out there you can enjoy and spray, like why is this particular fragrance bothering you so much and you haven’t even smelt it? As for the ones who actually smelt it, I appreciate the honest reviews 💕and I realised that those who actually smelt it have some positive things to say, unlike the ones who are blindly hating. I’m personally excited to blind buy it and smell it, and will come back for an honest review once it arrives next month lol Rant over lol sorry I had to.

i bought a dabber of this blindly and i really did not know what to expect. based on the name i thought it would be sickly sweet and kind of childish, but i did not get that at all! i do not really get any of the candy notes. what stands out the most to me is a strong powdery scent, almost like baby powder. there is sweetness and vanilla there of course, but the powder is the most forward note on my skin. like i've just made a body scrub composed solely of sugar and baby powder. i have not really seen other reviews focus on that specific powder note which is very interesting to me, because it stands out so strongly to me that it's hard to focus on anything else. this is another one where i did wear it out from time to time, but it mostly became more of a comforting at home scent. something a bit more personal, just for me to enjoy

So freaking cute!! I was looking for classic vanilla candy-ish fragances and I stumbled upon this, and it hit just right. This is kind of what Britney Spears Fantasy was aiming for back then, and this is along a similar, sickly sweet line, but a touch more refined and less fruity. The rum and violet leaves help ground this a bit too. I love this for all occasions and it's also a pretty nice base for some layering but also stands perfectly on its own. If you're not into tootache gourmands you will hate this. If you want something reminiscent of vanilla, frosted cake, icing sugar and simply all types of sugar, this is the safest of blind buys with a greatly decent longevity and sillage.

This one is interesting. I didn’t think I would like it because based on the description I expected sickly sweet artificial plastic smells mixed with funky patchouli but it’s not too much. Believe me, it is certainly as described & definitely sweeeeet to start - candy marshmallow boozy vanilla sugar - but the sweetness tones down to a softer spicier woody vanilla. After about an hour in all the notes had faded except the patchouli. It’s not a super strong in your face patchouli though. I don’t love patchouli so it’s not my favorite way to end but it’s tolerable. Overall it’s decent fragrance for me but I think I’d need a few more tests to decide if I’d actually wear it in public

for a while i have been on a search for a gourmand fluffy sweet perfume that covers everything i want and currently this perfume is my most prized scent i have. it smells so addicting and sweet and feminine oh my goodness !!!!!!! i work at a hospital and im running around and doing a lot of things during the evening and this will stay my entire shift ... i have gotten compliments on it and i will always gravitate and look forward to wearing this. it’s a sweet and sexy perfume similar to tease by victoria’s secret, kayali being the older cool sister. truly this perfume is made for the sweet gourmand girlies !!! ٩(^‿^)۶

One of my go-tos and top 3 Kayali’s. So sweet and juicy with the most warm comforting base. I love everything about this perfume, the notes that stick out to me are juicy pear and bubblegum candy, vanilla and sandalwood. The longevity for me is pretty amazing for a Kayali. It lingers my clothes amazingly and I’ve smelt it weeks after spraying on cardigans and stuff. I used up two 50ml bottles and have just recently bought the 100ml version as this really is a staple for me and one of the brand’s best. I really think everyone should try this and experience for themselves - this is a warm and fuzzy fragrance!

This is exactly what I was hoping and wanting Vanilla 28 to be!! This is a warm, deep vanilla that is still sugary enough to be fun and youthful. I will say though, based on the marketing I was hoping for something more sweet and candy-like. Maybe even cooling like YBM or YPG. I don't know if I just got lucky with my sample or what but the juice is DARK and POTENT. This is wicked strong - super loud projection and decent longevity especially for Kayali. Once I finish my FB of Vanilla 28, I'm definitely switching over to Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar instead!! Rating: 8/10

It starts fruity with a prominent pear note and then the bubblegum starts to get through and stay throughout the whole olfactory journey. I am not sure why it is compared to La Belle, other than some similar notes they don't really smell alike. As a matter of fact, while I love Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar, I do not enjoy La Belle at all. One is sweet and bubblegummy the other one is sour and sharp. As opposed to many Kayali perfumes, this one has very good longevity and while it's not super loud, I can feel it throughout the day when I move my arm around.

I love this. I’ve tried most of the Kayali fragrances and this is one of my top choices. Sweet but sophisticated. Projection is good. The dry down is divine and layers beautifully with Yum Boujee which is my all time favourite. Probably a scent more for colder climates. I disagree with the comment that it’s synthetic. I always find with Kayali, you must be patient for the fragrance to develop with your chemistry unlike other scents which disappear with time. This one evolves into something intoxicating.

The notes as written on the back of the bottle state a “sweet violet “, and now after numerous times of wearing this I am just sensing how important this note is in the whole juxtaposition of the fragrance. A sweetness of violet is different from a sweetness of vanilla or sugar, in that it is somehow more refined. This is exactly what none of the fragrances claiming to dupe this beauty have been able to accomplish. A sweet violet that turns into a vanilla cream. “Oh sweetest song!”

So fun, delicious and flirty. I get a lot of the pear and candy initially but dries down to a soft yummy vanilla musk for me. Lasts on my clothes/blankets really well but not so much on my skin. Can smell it after like 3 hours maybe but not much past that Edit: I started out with a 50ml and then bought a 100 just because I love it so much. Quite an addicting scent for me. Glad I tried it, it’s perfect if you love sweet yummy vanilla scents and don’t mind it being a bit fruity <3

Beautiful vanilla cream note, somehow fluctuating and getting even better in the dry down. The original Kayali is so much deeper than all the clones and dupes (and definitely better than La Belle which I sincerely dislike.) There is the candy overload of sweetness in the beginning but then it turns soft, creamy vanilla. At some point during the life of the fragrance I completely sense the gum note for a short while. I really enjoy wearing this.

i initially went into sephora to buy yum boujee marshmallow , but this caught my eye , and i thought i'd smell it on a tester strip . carried it around w me for a solid 20 minutes , and then decided to get this instead . it's delicious !! sweet , girly , candy-like vanilla with a bit of pear and a lot of sugar . it also lasts for so long and has amazing sillage ... my boss at work told me i smelt good and asked what it was !! 100% recommend

I absolutely adore this. This is one of my 2 signature fragrances, and it’s one of the few Kayali perfumes that actually last and project well. The top notes have a strong bubblegum note that I’m not that big of a fan of but the dry down is so amazing 😍 it turns into this amazing sweet, creamy vanilla. This is probably my most complemented fragrance in my collection. I try to repurchase this every month but the price doesn’t help 😭

Very versatile scent. I personally think it only smells like vanilla and sugar, and not so much like candy. Thus, it is very suitable for layering. Especially with other candy scents, or candied fruity scents. Not too sweet, but sweet enough. Suits almost every occasion, weather, and time. - Negative: Tends to smell a little like skin after around 5 hours, after which you would have to reapply, or it just doesn't smell that good.

I love sweet smells, but the name of this made me think it was overly sweet and i avoided it. but HOLY SMOKES. this smells so good. it is def sweet, but has this elevated “soap”-y clean smell on me at least. it smells like you took a sweet shower lol it’s not super bubble gum-y and child like smelling. it’s a mature, sweet and clean citrusy smell. i can’t describe it properly XD i need to by a full bottle ASAP.

I had this perfume for sometime ago, run out I will definitely buy it again. I guess this is one of my favourite perfumes, I do recommend it to people who love sweet/sugary fragrances. I don’t feel the rum part or the bubble gum, but I smell the pear very easily. I think this is the kind of perfume that doesn’t bother you, and you are not gonna get tired of it, so yeah, definitely a very good perfume

I can't believe I haven't actually left a review on my favorite Kayali perfume lol. This is truly a candy bubblegum sweetness that became my gourmand awakening. I have so many dupes of this perfume because it's just so playful and sickeningly sweet, so thick and so sugary, so incredibly pink and heavy, just the way I like it, but only the OG has that slight floral aspect to it on the dry down.

disgustingly sweet but in a very good way. you open up a bag of candy and this is what you smell. or a brand new shower gel. just yummy. i find myself sniffing my wrists time and time again cause it’s so good. however, it’s very long-lasting on clothes but unfortunately not the skin. still, if you want that beach vacation memory (even while being in the big city) this perfume might be for you!

You know that song "I Want Candy"? Every single time I wear this I think of this song. I think of those rock sugar candies on the wooden sticks...sour patch kids and bubble gum. This is sweet and yummy and playful and youthful. This is a fun scent. This does not last all day on me. It needs reapplying after a few hours. But it's just too sweet and cloying and almost headache inducing.

My mom wears this sometimes. It's quite beautiful. I don't think anything else smells like it. The violet is pronounced. It reminds me of a carnival at night for some reason. I smell the sweet treats, some slight woodiness in there. I even smell a tobacco-like facet to the violet that gives some depth. It lasts all day because I can smell it on her at the end of the day.

I love everything about this perfume — from the cute, girly bottle to the sweet, feminine scent! Usually, I’m not a fan of fruity or overly sweet fragrances, especially with the olfactory notes mentioned, but there’s something different about this one... it’s addictive! In my opinion, it’s very versatile and more wearable than other heavy Kayali fragrances. 8/10

not what i expected, but i was obsessed with it. it’s such a sweet fragrance, but much less “girly” than i thought it would be. the candied pear note is so amazing (because i love pear notes lol). it’s a very sweet gourmand, i would dare to say it’s a bit grown up too, and not a classical vanilla. much more parfume-y than an “edible” gourmand tho.

See i prefer this one over the vanilla 28.This one’s much more of a sweet vanilla as i where i find vanilla 38 as more like vanilla extract i have the 10ml of the vanillla 28 and the 50 of the vanislly candy rock sugar and i layer them together when i wear this and it smells amazing basically like your in bakery and lasts quite good on clothes

I love this, which is crazy for me because I can’t stand patchouli. It’s very sweet but I do smell a tiny bit of the patchouli at first but it seems to disappear on my skin ( I’m so glad) I used cake beauty lotion,body oil and cake pistachio body spray and Kayali and I’m addicted! I got the mmmm sniffs from my hubby so it’s 2 thumbs up 👍 👍 😂

Oh wow, bubbelgumfactory! Love this scent. It's heavy but sweet at the same time. I smell a lot of bubblegum, violet and vanilla! You smell amazing all day long. I used this everyday when we were in Spain last year so it remembers me of Spain, I love it. little bit sad that my boyfriend doesn't like this as much as I do hehe. xD

I love this, but if you have JPG La Belle, and you like it, you don't also need this. I will add: I had La Belle and there was something in that specific fragrance that never sat right on my skin, and I find this to be far more wearable. But the scent itself is close enough to La Belle that I would get one or the other.

The notes seem kinda scary at first, with the amount of sugary candy notes it has. But this is such a playful and feminine scent. I love wearing it, it’s not overpowering at all! I bought the small bottle, but went through it so quick i decided to commit to the large bottle :) Sillage & longevity r both amazing

I love this one, it’s my top 3. At first there is a strong pear and bubblegum scent. After a few minutes you can really smell the vanilla and sugar As a huge lover of sweet scents this is hard to match with anything else if you are looking for an innocent, extremely sweet scent. This perfume is my obsession. I get a compliment everytime I wear it. Its universally liked by both men and women. Its a sweet candy like fragrance but it has an edge that makes it smell so unique and different. I love the gummy like sweetness it gives. This is in my top 5 for life.

I just got a sample of this from sephora and immediately ordered a bigger size. smells like a mature and sexy piece of candy. I normally hate patchouli in perfumes, but I like it in this one. It’s very syrupy but in a warm skin like way. Also lasts very long imo

This is love at first sniff. Very playful. My mum got a whiff and liked it too, so i gave it to her and got me another bottle. 2 sprays and it lasts until the next day so don't overdo if you wanna appreciate the scent. It's a compliment getter for sure.

LITERAL SWEETS IN A BOTTLE. So sugary with vanilla and fruity notes that make it smell just like bubblegum. Very playful and addictive. I think it’s great on its own but also really fun for layering if you want to boost the sweetness in other perfumes.

My most complimented scent. Every time I wear this I get asked what perfume I’m wearing, definitely a compliment magnet. It smells like candy 🍬 very sugary and sweet. In my opinion this fragrance is one of the stronger scents from Kayali.

Kayalis best fragrance to date. This is a mature, spiced vanilla bubblegum. This is what I wear when I want to smell girly, and sweet but still sophisticated. There are a lot of notes which can be overwhelming but this is done perfectly.

A more grown up take on bubblegum and sugar - very sweet without being artificial or sickly, and supported by a very light, soft spiciness. Great if you love super sweet scents but are looking for something that isn't juvenile!

I always get at least a couple of compliments when I wear this and I can’t stop smelling it on myself lol it can be a bit much for me after a while though so I don’t wear it too often but when I do I love it!

This is my favourite KAYALI fragrance. I love smelling like candy, and the bubble gum note really comes out on me which I enjoy so much. Lasts 3-6 hrs. I don’t mind reapplying.

Very girly and feminine, but in a grown up way. Smells like bubblegum rock candy sugar to a T. Quite long lasting as well! Signature scent worthy and perfect for all seasons 🩷✨

Vanilla 28s more playful, sweet younger sister. It's a bit stanky on the initial spray though. If pink rock candies hand a scent this is what it what it would smell like.

Its JPG La Belle, but better. Just a tad bit deeper and has more heft to it. Restored my faith in the La Belle DNA. Cold Weather only as its very sweet.
