Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli | 64 Eau De Parfum Intense

* I can still smell this on my skin the next morning and very much on my clothes from yesterday. Longevity and projection are excellent on me. I'm obsessed. Ordered a bigger bottle straight away. I don't care about keeping it for winter, I'll wear it through the summer too. Just got this delivered this morning. I wasn't sure about it at first but I've learned to not judge a perfume immediately and let it develop. The opening was straight up rum and reminded me of Tom Ford Vanille Fatale, which I'm also not sure about but may have to give another chance now. However(!) the dry down and scent trail is BEAUTIFUL. It's got the Vanilla 28 DNA but much spicier. I don't think the patchouli smells like normal patchouli though. I didn't really get much of it initially and I do in Vanilla 28. I thought it was something else at first, some other sort of spice mixed with rum but it must just be coz it's "sugared" patchouli which I've never smelled before. It's very different to regular patch and if I'd not known what I was supposed to be smelling I'd not have immediately thought of patchouli so it's interesting that most people think it's a patchouli bomb. Same with the oud, I don't think that's very strong either or the florals and leather. I can smell them but they're very much just supporting roles rather than main stars. This is straight up sugary sweet, rum and spices to me (with the sugared patchouli reading as a sweet spice). It's really beautiful. I only bought the small 10ml travel size but wish I'd gotten a 50ml now. I think I'll leave it to sit til the winter comes around again. I can only imagine how stunning it'll be by then. I can see why some people hate it though. It's definitely not just an intense version of Vanilla 28. The longer I've had it on the better it gets. Very much regret not getting the 50ml now as there's no way I'm gonna be able to leave it to sit til winter. I adore this. I see the similarities with Angel Muse. It's almost got a vibe of if you layered Portrait of a Lady with Vanilla 28 but somehow managed to get the ratio perfectly right to not make them clash. It reminds me of a few different scents tbh, not so much the og Angel as others have said though. The most complex Kayali I've tried so far. Vanilla 28 for all year round and layering, this for winter and night time. Still reminds me of a more feminine, Vanille Fatale without the citrus notes and if you added tons of sugar though, they share a lot of other notes so I'm surprised it's not on the reminds me of section. It is very rum heavy to start with so people might genuinely think you've been on the drink 😅 I also agree with whoever said they shouldn't have marketed it as an intense Vanilla 28 as a lot of people were obviously (and understandably) expecting another sugary, super gourmand, not so spicy and boozy, linear girly scent just in a stronger form. This, while it's not that complex to some people, is to lots of others who Vanilla 28 is either their first niche fragrance or they're only into straight up sugary sweet scents. They should have just kept it separate and I think it would have hit it's target audience more. Having said that, I think the Vanilla 28 fans will end up loving it after a while as it is still a super sweet gourmand once it's settled down. It's way more feminine to me, the opening is more unisex but the sugary sweet dry down isn't imo.

Recently, I have reawakened a quest to procure a smooth, comforting, enveloping, vanilla-centric "blanket" fragrance that I can liberally apply at bedtime. I find vanilla fragrances comforting and sometimes, a vanilla fragrance helps me fall calmly off to sleep. So, I became intrigued with Kayali Fragrances and purchased a Vanilla Sampler from my local Sephora. In the sampler are 4 x 10ml bottles: Vanilla 28, Vanilla Royale (patchouli), Utopia (coconut) and Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar. I originally visited Sephora specifically to purchase Vanilla 28. In the store and on the paper strip, I overall enjoyed the fragrance but Vanilla 28 leaned too amber and way too boozy for my tastes. Searching for a more "gourmand" leaning vanilla, I decided to keep looking. My initial disappointment in this fragrance is what led me to the sampler. And unlike my experience with the other Kayali Fragrances in the sampler pack, this fragrance IMHO is a pretty straightforward patchouli fragrance with a beautiful, spicy, rum-like, bourbon, vanilla-tincture, vanilla extract addition. The opening of Vanilla Royal Sugared Patchouli 64 definitely shares characteristics of Vanilla 28. However, VRSP 64's opening is less boozy, less astringent than the opening of Vanilla 28. And then there are the patchouly notes. Within minutes upon application, the prettiest, most gentle, ethereal patchouli emerges, which immediately changes the composition of the fragrance. And as others state, this is not head-shop, hippie-oil, deep, dark chocolate patchouli. The patchouli that seamlessly blends with the opening notes is almost floral and initially, veil-like. Floral, veil-like and ethereal are NOT descriptives I often used when describing patchouli notes in perfumes!! Eventually, the fragrance settles as an ethereal, fragrant patchouli-vanilla mixture with some gentle florals. And IMHO, this fragrance is as MUCH patchouli as it is vanilla. Longevity is about 4-6 hours. Silage is moderate. And the price point is great! Overall, I really enjoy Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli 64. However, I already own MANY, much-revered patchouli based fragrances (Chanel Coromandel, Malle Portrait of a Lady, Jovoy Psychedelique, Profumum Roma Patchouly, Masque Milano Kintsugi, Serge Lutens Borneo), so I'm not sure this is full bottle worthy. But we shall see over time...

I absolutely love this perfume! This is one of the few Kayalis I want to get a bottle of. In fact I want to get the 100 ml bottle, it's so good! It's a grown up vanilla with earthy elements and little bit of spice to it, but it's sweet enough so that it leans feminine. I can see myself wearing this on a sunny but chilly autumn day, when nature is as golden as the bottle. Also great for winter and chilly spring days. It's not overly strong so to me this is totally wearable on every day. In fact for night time I would prefer something stronger, althought this perfume has some depth and spice so I can see why so many considers it a night time scent. The longevity is better than with most Kayalis I have tried but maybe not the most consistent. It stays better on clothes than on skin. UPDATE (6/24). So I got the 100ml bottle and I am in love. I think this is the signature scent I've been looking for! I actually now agree with the review above, I think this totally could be worn on a hot weather too. I would probably reach for something lighter during day time when it's hot. But on summer nights, amazing! We'll see how the perfume will performe the longer I own it. I can imagine it only get's better, like Kayalis usually do. UPDATE (8/25). Going trough my old reviews. Since getting this it has been my signature scent. A beautiful, warm, rich and spicy vanilla. The only thing I disagree compared to my old reviews is that this certainly is my most worn night time perfume. I don't need my perfume to be crazy intense (think about Arabian's Tonka for example) even during the night. This one for sure is strong and intense enough, but there's is some softness to make it wearable on every day too. I love it! I have sampled quite a few Kayali's now and this is definitely one of the best when it comes to performance, both projection and longevity.

Gorgeous scent for someone looking for a more feminine vanilla scent while avoiding the super sweet gourmand hits of today. Initially after spraying you get hit with a strong spice scent. Cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves. A bourbon note lingers in the background. The initial scent can be overpowering and almost choking, so I recommend being more conservative with your spraying (even if that shortens the longevity of the perfume). It really projects a lot during the beginning of its cycle, people 15 ft away will be able to smell you. After dry down you get the whole ordeal. You can really smell the oud and patchouli, as well as your spices and vanilla notes in the background. It’s a pretty rounded, but benefits so much from layering a pure vanilla scent with it, if you’re looking for more of that vanilla to be in the forefront instead of the incense notes. The scent doesn’t really project much after the initial application, but when you’re pretty close you can really smell the full body of the perfume. Long after your dry down time you can really smell that brown sugar and vanilla. The spices and oud stays, but the more gourmand notes really start to shine. Unless you have a really sensitive nose, it doesn’t project almost at all. You have to have your nose right in it to smell it, but if you’re getting more intimate it’s definitely a warm, sexy, and delicious scent that will drive people crazy (in a good way). Very sexy, warm, and luxurious all the way through. Would recommend getting a sample of it first before deciding to get a full size. It could definitely be a hit or miss for people. I had to warm up to it and decide whether or not I liked it, and in the end I really did. This scent isn’t one of those safe and universally liked scents like Vanilla 28 might be, but if given the chance could really blow minds.

This is my go-to favorite and now that it’s been discontinued, I begin my search for a suitable replacement to fill the massive void left in my life. This is warm and spicy and inviting. Strong scent. I’m not a vanilla scent fan, but this made me love and need a vanilla in my collection. It showed me vanilla could be an option lol. It’s sweet and gourmand but still completely friendly for a male. Unisex, but may be a bit much for some female preferences. The oud is a nice touch. The patchouli I didn’t find overpowering, and the scent was loved even by friends that hate patchouli. Vanilla and rum but sexy and dirty in the best possible ways. Everyone asks what I’m wearing with this, compliments and asking for a link to buy it from males and females both. This scent was everything and I hope one day Kayali has the mercy and generosity to return this to the world. Only complaint that could be had with it is that it could become difficult to spray after it sat over a year, seemed to thicken a little or maybe clog the sprayer a bit? Still sprayed, just not as fine. Wasn’t usually a problem with most bottles tho, as it smelled so good I wore it more than any of the other 30-50 fragrances on my shelf at any given time. Literally so mad at Kayali over this. I was such a Kayali fan recommending them to everyone, but this just leaves such a massive void in their collection now and it’s a bit of a slap being the nicest most masculine leaning of their options. Just giving very basic more feminine or at least feminine side of unisex options from the brand now, many of which are not great. Vanilla Sugared Patchouli was greatness and they killed it lol. You will be missed 😭

I received this in PR last week and I’ve worn it 4 days in a row. I want to preface this by saying that I’m a fan of most of Kayali’s scents and I love Vanilla 28 for layering. They’re describing Vanilla Royale as vanilla 28s bougie older sister and that’s pretty accurate, imo. I think the brown sugar note in Vanilla 28 is the most prominent similarity between the two (and obviously the vanilla). That being said, I think this is their best scent yet. Longevity is fantastic. It lasted about 10 hours on my skin. I also still smell it on the sweater I wore two days ago. It doesn’t really fill up the room but it leaves a beautiful scent trail. I don’t believe any scent is blind buy safe and Vanilla Royale is no different as it has a few polarizing notes like patchouli, leather, and Oud. I love Oud and leather but I think they’re barely detectable. The patchouli does smelled “sugared” and it’s prominent in the dry down. The vanilla orchid, the brown sugar, the creme brûlée, and the tonka are super prominent throughout the entire wear time, imo. It smells like a toasted, smoky vanilla. It’s really sophisticated, seductive and dense. I overhyped this in my head and I still loved it. I think it’s interesting how people are picking up on different notes and experiencing it differently. That alone makes it appealing to try. Finally, I cannot, for the life of me, understand how people are comparing this to Angel. I’m convinced they’re trolling. I’m excited to see how everyone perceives this once it’s fully out.

Ok I deleted my previous review because I was definitely speaking about my first impressions only. I have to admit that at first it was so oudy and leathery that I simply hated it. I'm just not used to oud and leather notes, in fact I don't like them at all, so when I first sprayed this it was simply a big hate from me. However after trying it a few times, it's insane how much I like it now. If I'm being honest I think I will still return this because I don't think oud or leather notes are for me and I don't think I can pull them off, however I do think it's a delicious scent. At first I did say where's the vanilla? Where are the sweet nice notes? All I was smelling was oud and leather. But now I absolutely smell them all, specially the creme brulee, wow! Even though this perfume is not for me, I will give it a 10 out of 10. Controversial rating after all I said, but it's ridiculously good. It's so different, so beautiful, the notes are amazingly blended. I love it! I wish I was more into this 2 particular notes so I can keep this, or maybe I wish those 2 notes were less prominent than what they currently are. Definitely not a safe blind buy, but still a 10 out of 10 Edit: so I've decided to keep this, it's too good! Still not for me and my usual perfumes, but I simply refuse to let it go lol I will definitely give this entire bottle a try

I just bought this perfume and I know from experience to spray it once and let this bottle sit a week or two. After this so called maceration, it will get more rounded. So this is my first impression, because I just bought it yesterday. First spray was almost overwhelmingly oudy, boozy, patchouli. I was taken aback a little, because Mona Kattan promised to be gentle with Patchouli (so many hate it, but it gives a lot of Perfumes the longevity). The first impression is earthy, leathery and soaked in rum. Challenging! After ten minutes the harshness subsides and gives space to softer, sugary sweetness. Slight floral notes woven between this earthy pillars of oud, leather and Patchouli. The best part is the dry down. Delectable sweetness, gourmand, like a dessert. And only then you can detect the similarity to Vanilla 28. Just with more depth and oomph. So it's worth the wait. Now is this perfume worth the hype? Probably not. Is this scent a stand out? Not in my opinion. Then again it was created to be layered anyway. I just don't think it's worth 90€ for 50ml, but I got a good deal at Sephora for only 45€ the bottle! A steal. I am layering it with the recommended Vanilla 28 and the sweetness softens Vanilla Royale and in return the longevity of V28 is greatly increased. I also tryed DG Devotion with Vanilla Royale and it's pure seduction!

I usually throw around four to seven sprays (depending on the weather) and it lasts around 9 to 10 hours. Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli 64 starts off a mix of spices and booze, quite strong and sharp for a few seconds. After around an hour, it settles as a luxurious sweet vanillic patchouli scent with a hint of cinnamon/nutmeg. Throughout the day, the vanilla becomes more prominent whereas the spices dials down a little, with the patchouli going steady all the way. The sugared patchouli makes the vanilla+patchouli combo sophisticated yet modern. With the slightly boozy quality, I find the scent refined, piquant and quite addictive. As a person who doesn’t enjoy oud scent, I don’t hate the oud in here as it’s quite gentle, simply there giving an opulent depth to the mixture. The somewhat gourmand facet of it comes more from the chocolate-y sensation than from the pure vanilla note shared in Vanilla 28, which I don’t really care for. Also, I think people who normally don’t like patchouli may dig this one or even become interested in patchouli scents. To me, this one is not a crowd pleaser or a compliment magnet, but it sure intrigues people with at least a dash of sexiness and mysteriousness. I personally love it. Among the top ones along Kayali’s offerings.

if you are after something spicy, strong and sexy, this one is for you. i fell in love with this fragrance 3 years ago, and this fragrance is one that i will forever keep coming back to. the top notes may be quite intense for those who prefer something softer, but once it settles, it becomes intoxicating and the warm rum, smoky patchouli, and sweet vanilla orchid melt beautifully together. the dry-down is deep, boozy and slightly earthy with brown sugar and oud wrapping around the skin. it’s bold, confident and leaves a scent trail that feels luxurious and addictive. this fragrance doesn't fill up a room, but it lingers on your skin perfectly in a way that attracts just the right amount of attention. it resonates with me because it definitely isn’t for everyone, you either fall completely in love with it or can’t stand it. there’s no in-between. i also tend to gravitate towards this fragrance in the colder months, and when i feel like my hair, outfit, makeup etc is lacking somehow, but i'm still wanting to make a bold statement. this definitely isn’t a blind buy as the patchouli and leather can be polarising, but if you love complex, sultry scents, vanilla royale is well worth the price. long-lasting, elegant, and unforgettable.

God I love this stuff so much. I bought it ages ago and loved it but I collect perfume so I've been ignoring it for a while. I decided to use it today and immediately remembered how much I love it. I can really smell the Kayali signature in the base now that I'm more familiar with it. Apparently the Kayali signature accord is only in the last two releases but I can smell it here. This stuff is strong. Sweet, spicy, rum, patchouli, oud, leather and loads of brown sugar, tonka, musk and vanilla. I think the crème brule is what comes through the most giving it the sweet, thick, creamy gourmandness. It's warm and boozy. Gourmand but grown up and sexy. I could bathe in it. I think it's one of the most underrated Kayali scents. I like it way more than Vanilla 28 and it performs way better too but they go together well. It lasts all day on me and projects a lot. I've had loads of compliments on it. I'm wearing this every day for a while now. It'll layer with my other scents like Nebras and Eclaire and Choco Musk beautifully. I'd wear it at any time and any season but it's definitely appropriate for a date night and it definitely holds up well in the cold weather. Stunning 10/10 for me. I'll cry if this is ever discontinued.

Loves it! Thick, rich, custard-y with a velvety "texture". Deeply lactonic in the opening. Not as boozy/alcoholic as expected; I get a sweeter, more dessert-like rum aroma. A rum flavored creme brulee to be precise -- complete with crunchy, smoky burnt sugar, and garnished with a sugared patchouli leaf. The cream and vanilla are stars here, with a bold, aromatic accent of crisp, sugared patchouli. The scent has an addictive quality, like Vanilla 28. VRSP is similar to Iommi only in terms of both being patchouli-vanilla forward fras with rum. Iommi is more male (bc the geranium, leather, and citrus) and a bit boozier, with an accord of bananas. VRSP is a unique and delicious smelling creation. One day I'll grab a FB because I can see this being discontinued for some reason. Honestly this is my favorite Kayali fragrance, with SD Pink Pepper and Invite Only Amber in at 2nd and 3rd. Haven't yet tried Kattan's Wedding or Oud fragrances- YET... The Eden ones are so baaaaad imo; but I'm not big on fruity, shampooey perfumes so that's a biased opinion. Anyway - VSRP is a true beauty, work of art, one thousand per cent.

This is an opulent and complex fragrance. The top notes are really special and beautiful. I have a vanilla orchid and the top notes are so reminiscent of how my plant smells - rare and fresh. When I spray this perfume, it instantly reminds me of the love and care I put into growing my vanilla orchid. The heart of this fragrance is infused with the signature gourmand Kayali DNA, but is made more complex by the leather and rose. Finally, the dry down of this perfume is what makes it so special. The sugared patchouli and oud are elegant together; however, mixed with the amber, you get a spicy and divine, long-lasting scent. This is a wonderful fragrance that truly makes you feel sophisticated, sensual, and opulent. To my nose, this fragrance is a 10/10 for the notes, lasting power, and sillage. It is truly a patchouli perfume for people who hate patchouli. People say this is a date-night/ nighttime fragrance and I disagree. This quickly became my signature scent and a base for a bunch of layering combinations that either deepen it or lift it up to match whatever mood I'm in.

She is THE (winter) vanilla fragrance of my life. The vanilla is a bit "dirty", a little smokey, deep, and sexy. I don't mind patchouli if done right and this is done right. It adds depth and supports the vanilla beautifully. As for the oud note (I like oud), I don't really notice it. All I get is a deep, comforting vanilla with patchouli and a kiss of rum. I wore this the other day and my boys told me how good I smelled. Someone mentioned in an earlier post that Paris Corner came out with a clone called December Vanilla. I recently received it and upon my first impression, despite there being similar notes, I don't find it to be a clone. It is a lighter scent. Not as complex or "sexy", but still a nice, sweet vanilla/floral scent. That could change once it macerates, but as for now, I find it to be a very light copy. December Vanilla may be a better option for those who don't like patchouli. Patchouli is listed in the notes with DV, but it's so light it's hardly discernable. And as previous poster mentioned, it is more budget friendly which is a plus!

Reading some previous reviews I was afraid of buying this, even though the notes were screaming that I will love this! So I took the chance and blind bought it, just for the thrills. Well, let me tell you: the first times it smelled like ashtray and/or tobacco for the first 5-15 mins, BUT: I am wearing it for the last week now and it gives me smoky wood/tobacco in the first 5 mins and then it transformes to spicy, sweet vanilla cream, like crème brulé with rum. It's not exactly a gourmand but definitely sweet, it's sexier and more spicy dessert. It is for sure not a safe blind buy, I just love the thrill and 98% of the time I am right. I am glad I got over my fear and I respect everyone else's reviews as the smell of a perfume depends on many things , such as PH of the skin etc, but for me it gives me what I wanted, boozy crème brulé with smokiness and mystery. Not an intense version of Vanilla 28 , it is much more complex than Vanilla 28. I am loving every Kayali I own so far!

Okay, I'm not going to lie, I've had a bit of a love hate relationship with Kayali fragrances. I love the notes and the concept, but the ones I've tried seem to disappear quickly and not pleasant to my nose. I was visiting my brother and he had quite a few kayali bottles, mostly from the oud line. I needed to wear something for an event so I decided to give this one a try. OMG I fell in love. The opening was a bit meh for me, and leaned more patchouli. I'm very particular about patchouli frags as they don't all mesh well with my skin chemistry. But like the other reviews stated this one leans more on the chocolatey side. After a few hours it becomes this delicious sugary vanilla sweet scent like a decadent cookie with a torched sugary topping. I smell amazing and cannot get enough. Also, It lasted 12+ hours and I had this lovely scent bubble around me. I NEED a bottle of this, and I'm dying to try vanilla candy rock sugar next.

I am absolutely in love. I guess my taste is different from the masses opinion so going to have to stop listening. I don't know what people were talking about. This is so good. Granted she is intense but on me it smells rich creamy cocoa chocolate. I did get a minty patchouli on but it mellows and blends with that rich creamy cocoa so well i dont even mind. But I don't mind patchouli in my perfumes. I have found patchouli adds depth to sweet gourmand leaning perfumes in a way I love. And then the mix of that with that leather note! Definitely unisex leaning which I am beginning to appreciate but sweet enough for a woman to feel sexy wearing. I had to go ahead and buy the biggest bottle. Gives me such a nostalgic feel like something I've worn or smelled in the past. Also perfect for a gala or black tie event. Signature scent worthy. Sweet, mysterious, creamy, deep, sexy. Such a rich unique delicious sensory experience.

Just opened my package and sprayed it. Holy. Moly. This is exactly what I wanted it to be. The very first spritz is a tiny bit sharp and unexpected with the rum note- but it instantly transformed on my skin. It’s got that brown sugar vanilla from vanilla 28 that I immediately recognized and love, but the leather and patchouli make this deep and sexy. The wafts I get when I move around are intoxicating sweet and spicy, and up close I can smell those sharper notes. This is going to be one of those scent trails that will turn heads, it’s confidence in a bottle. I didn’t expect just a stronger vanilla 28 so I can see why people are super disappointed wanting that, but this is exactly what I was hoping for. Instant love for me but this one is NOT going to be for everybody. I’m already contemplating a 100ml since this is limited edition. Edit to add I could still smell this on my skin the next day. Lasting power is great.

I don't understand why this one has got such low rating. It smells great and it's one of the few Kayali perfumes that actually lasts longer than 5 minutes.... It's sweet, sexy and intoxicating. I get mostly boozy rum, that sugary creme brulee, orchid, vanilla and patchouli with a bit of nice spiciness to it as well. The leather and oud are really subtle. A dark gourmand, needs a confident person to pull it off. Unisex. Cold weather scent, layers well with many other fragrances (I pair it often with Carnal Desire by Aromatix, they're amazing together!). Perfomance is pretty good. I didn't know it was discontinued, I still got plenty left. If you're having trouble finding it, Paris Corner's Vanilla December is way cheaper and 90% close. It's just maybe a bit sweeter and with stronger performance.

I am so addicted to this perfume, when I discovered they discontinued this I was insanely gutted! I looked in Sephoras in Canada, USA, Dubai & Australia to buy the biggest size possible and could not find it anymore! It is so rich and sexy, it perfectly encapsulates everything I want to smell, something strong and rummy, with sweet sweet gooey floral combined vanilla and the smokey oud goes so well. Never in my life did I ever receive so many compliments wearing this perfume. I had so many of my coworkers beg me to tell them what I was wearing, people asking me in the airport, it literally never ended. I even had a date continuously tell me out of the blue that I smelt intoxicating! This perfume is fucking magic and nothing less than that. Super worth the price tag.

I bought a 10 ml bottle of it as I was intrigued by the notes. Didn't expect much as I was disappointed before with Kayali fragraces, and I think they are much overpriced for what they are. I have to say this one surprised me. It's an absolute masterpiece in my opinion. A perfect blend of vanilla, sweetened patchouli, oud and leather, slightly smokey, mysterious and elegant. This is a very beautiful and niche scent without being overpowering. I have never smelled anything like this before! It also has a good lasting power. It definitely has the power to make a statement for the person wearing it. I could wear it all year round endlessly, it can easily become my signature scent. Needless to say that I am going to invest in a full bottle despite the high price.

This is a really nice undercover winter banger. Again, back to my out of town escapades because I can't wait to do this shit again. I went to the Sephora in Nashville and wanted to see what all the hype was about about the Kayali line. Some were good, and some were bad, others were a bit too sweet for my liking and my arm smelled like a smorgasbord of scents so I'm sure that I was sniffing a lot more than just this. The balance of sweet and spicy in this is perfectly unisex; but it's honestly intended for us gents. If you're not a fan of Patchouli then you won't appreciate that initial spicy opening; but the way I'm set up this makes the fragrance what it's supposed to be. I'll get a bottle sometime soon; but my girlfriend LOVED this one.

Bought a travel size of this during a sale because I’m in love with the notes and I also really love Vanilla 28 and I am NOT disappointed. I wore this today, it was fairly cold and rainy all day. It’s voted as a nighttime scent but when the weather is gloomy I need my heavy, warm smell-goods. It’s like an amped up Vanilla 28, it’s lasted me all day and still going (although it’s a skin scent now), and my boyfriend can’t get enough of it. A very wearable oud, the patchouli and vanilla is pure sex, and even the leather note plays nicely, and my skin chemistry usually pulls leather far too strong and it makes me gag. I took a chance on this, and I wouldn’t recommend it as a blind buy to others, but it sure as hell worked out for me. In love.

This is my favorite Kayali fragrance, and I think it's the best in the entire line. sugary sweet patchouli with a heavy dose of darker notes to add depth. It's so luxurious and sexy. The patchouli is absolutely divine, and this perfume is one of the reasons I now love patchouli so much. The dry down is similar to vanilla 28 but sexier, heavier, and longer lasting. I also think this is quite unisex. I think the lower rating for this is wild, but I understand it is quite different from the rest of the brand that is offered at Sephora. If you love pathcouli and deeper, darker vanilla fragrances, you will think this is undeniably good. I can't see any patchouli haters enjoying this, but it's an absolute gem for those of us who love it.

While I do think it's definitely stronger than Vanilla 28, I don't think it's as strong as people claim lol. The projection is only great for the first hour, then it will become intimate for the rest of its duration. The longevity on the skin is average, while on clothes is good for sure but no more than 7 hours, not like until the next day like some say. Definitely one of the strongest perfumes by Kayali, but that's only because 99% of their perfumes are very bad performers. Some people think it's a good projector because when you first spray it, the entire room will smell and your nose will hurt like hell, but that's literally only the opening

Vanilla Royale is one of, if not the most underrated Kayali perfume. I get the Patchouli and some other mature notes, but they may not be for everyone. However imo this vanilla scent is so amazing, unique, and addictive. I love Vanilla 28 too, but Vanilla Royale is just a beast mode vanilla. For the PRICE compared to most designer perfumes, this is a steal. It projects and lasts for 12+ hours which is rare for a Kayali to begin with. Glad a snagged a 100 mL on Huda, as this is shown as a limited edition?? But it’s still available thankfully. Needs more recognition though. Mona’s a genius

I’m glad I gave this 5 minutes to settle and didn’t immediately scrub. First spray - patchouli bomb. I like patchouli, but this was like *PATCHOULI*. But after the five minutes, ooo, I like this. It’s actually much lighter than I expected - that vanilla orchid comes through, and the vanilla note feels like more of a clear, crisp vanilla extract than a syrupy bourbon vanilla. Definitely getting brown sugar and crème brûlée. Not getting much rum or jasmine. Patchouli is still in the background to keep it grounded, and actually, I almost wish it were stronger. It faded a lot!

This one is exactly as the name suggests. Loads of creamy, boozy vanilla against a backdrop of sugared patchouli. For me, love at first sniff! It’s a little animalic and musky in the dry down, but that stops the patchouli from being too one-note and overwhelming. There are definitely lashings of rum and both brown and white sugar, and an overall suggestion of crème brûlée. It’s ambery, warm, and inviting. The overall effect is a complex, sexy, dirty vanilla which just oozes confidence. It’s not restrained, but it is beautifully opulent.

This smell reminds me of what they pump into Las Vegas hotels so you can't smell the cigarette smoke. Maybe it's just me, but I love that smell, and I love this perfume. It's sultry patchouli with warmth. It's like a bonfire of herbal, amber, vanilla goodness. It smells a bit screechy with rum in the first 30 minutes, but it dries down so beautifully with strong sugary oud notes. I blind bought this because I'm a patchouli freak, and the notes are all things I love, and I'm glad I did. This is going to be worn on repeat this winter.

This is very interesting. Especially coming from kayali, a rather bland and mass-appealing brand, it stands out. Obviously, patchouli and oud are VERY intimidating notes and this scent is totally polarizing. I find it alluring and beautiful. The vanilla really pops but the patchouli softens it and makes it just as smooth as it is sweet. As far as oud, this is a decent entry point. I don’t think this scent is too offensive. It’s pretty intense, but when it dries down it smells great and I’m sure i’d love to smell it on someone else

Imo this fragrance was marketed unfairly. Had they never mentioned Vanilla 28, I feel like this wouldn't have gotten so much hate. I like this. And I'm a sugar head. First spray was rough.. medicinal, sharp, burned my nose. But minutes later it became boozy, spicy, smokey, slightly earthy, and pleasantly sweet in the dry down. Great performer.. I'm not mad at it! SN: It's not a big deal but don't really care for the notes on the back of the bottle. I prefer the sleek look. Not all of us are fragrance influencers.

OOoooh baby this fragrance is the love of my life, my one and only, my soul mate. I want to be drenched in this scent 24/7. It's giving sharp-ass eyeliner, a bold red lip, and a killer stare. It's giving luxury, incense, royalty. It's the fragrance that finds you when you're walking in a crowd, assertively grabs you by the jaw, and makes you follow your nose to find the source. Edited to add: I totally forgot when I initially found this perfume, my mind immediately linked it to Kenzo Jungle L'Elephant!

I adore it! I sold my vanilla 28 since I never used it, it didn’t smell bad but I just found it a bit ... boring? This however, I adore. She is definitely more moody and you might have to get used to her to appreciate her; her personality may even seem a bit overwhelming at first. However, when you get to know her she will be your best friend. And she is so much more fun than other vanillas. A non vanilla girl so to say. Rich, mysterious, sweet, sexy, slightly naughty. I really adore vanilla royale.

I am reading a ton of nonsense on these reviews. This has to be my absolute FAVORITE Kayali. In fact, this is going to be in my collection permanently. This is sexy, alluring, boozy, and a knockout performer. I have never not gotten a compliment while wearing it solo and it layers SO beautifully with almost any fall/amber forward fragrance I have partnered it with. The vanilla and patchouli on this are so well blended and the oud really solidifies it's power. Legitimately cannot get enough of this.

Super boozy and powerful version of vanilla 28 ! If you love vanilla 28 and oud, this one is the perfect pick. It has that same sugary - vanilla dna, and if you're looking for great longevity (literally all day), sugared patchouli is incredible. It first opens to a very green and earthy note (which is the patchouli) with a hint of vanilla in the background, as it settle, the patchouli becomes less powerful and let the place to the incredible sugary vanilla mix with oud, super creamy and boozy.

People keep saying this is a Winter or cold weather perfume, but as someone who's from a very humid country in South Asia and who sweats a lot, Vanilla Royale 64 is what I reach for when I know I'm gonna sweat or when it's warm outside. There's a reason why people from hot places like the Middle East or hotter parts of Asia choose woody, sweet & oud scents for the hot times after all. Vanilla 28 is better for Winter since it's a much simpler fragrance compared to this.

this was a blind buy from Sephora back when it was still available, i must say it is a dangerous scent to blind buy but i knew my scent profiles and bought anyways... it is the most luxurious and sexy scent i have worn in a while. I wore it occasionally on nights out in the summer and every day in winter. it is perfect at elevating the mood. if i didn't love it so much id tell everybody about it but it's since discontinued and it is very hard to find.

Something about this fragrance makes me so feral, I love it! I also love Vanilla 28 with all my heart, but that one is more a proper lady going on a date night, having a good time, making men turn their heads with confidence but with an innocent smile. Vanilla Royale is exactly what it sounds like, royalty, but a wild queen ready to eat men. Vanilla Royale is my confidence boost, it is bold, sexy, gorgeous & so powerful! I love it!

Literally a more expensive unisex smelling version of vanilla 28, the added leather, Oud, and patchouli are definitely present. As well as the creme brûlée note which gives it a gourmand like creaminess that balances all the darker stong notes perfectly! As a patchouli, oud, leather, And vanilla note lover this is one of my favorite fragrances i have. If you aren’t a fan of said notes you honestly probably wont enjoy this.

The absolute star of all Kayali's creations: a masterpiece. A rich blend of vanilla, sugary and boozy notes with an intense earthy, chocolatey, creamy patchouli base. Addictive, grown up, gourmand and stunning. It doesn't radiate too much, and this is the way it should be. It's very persistent, maybe the only long lasting Kayali fragrance. People will want to hug you and sniff your neck. Unisex, gorgeous, superb: 10/10

Love at first sniff for me. Sweet vanilla with just the right amount of patchouli to give it a dirty twist. The combo makes it super sexy and addictive. For me it’s very linear (but I don’t mind at all) and lingers for 12+ hours on hair and clothes. Gotten so many compliments when wearing this - from men and women, young and old, friends and strangers. It’s the only Kayali I have liked this far and it’s a true gem.

I love this. It is my signature. It is NOT blind buy safe. Not a good scent for people who don’t have big personalities, it will wear you if your outfit/hair/makeup/personality is not big enough. This perfume is for people who are either loved or hated by the people they meet. I like this perfume for its smell but also because of how much personality it has, I feel accurately represented by its presence.

You have to give this time. At first I didn't like it, but as the bottle stayed, it started to get more sweet, more feminine, more deep and gourmand. At this point it reminds me extremely a lot of Angels share, I didn't even notice this at the beginning. I finf something walnut-y in it, which makes me sniff my hnd every 3 minutes, it's so interesting. It's like I'm discovering something new every time.

Soooooo good. Either you get it or you don’t get it, and if you don’t, well. That’s a darn shame. Wore this today after a long hiatus and I had to kick myself for taking so long. It doesn’t need layering, but I decided to give it a little kick, so I added on some Jo Malone Scarlet Poppy and...perfection. I cannot get over myself right now. I hardly ever do this, but I might repeat again tomorrow.

.... easily one of the best from KayAli....and there are quite alot of options from this brand. Sugared Patchouli is exactly who she thinks she is!! So dang on sexy! Sooooo sweet... yet not generic or kiddie. This is cold winter night ... out with your partner or with friends... classy, young and interesting. Wear time is moderate 5 hours maybe... but that dry down is worth it! Love herrrr!!!

This is one of my all time favorite fragrances and the perfume that convinced me that I could like a patchouli note. It's been kind of a gateway drug really. 😄 It is very sweet and boozy which I love, though my husband says it makes me smell like I have been drinking. I think I just got a little carried away before I hopped in the car, but something to keep in mind if you're headed to work.

Don’t panic for the first 15-20 minutes. The patchouli is extremely earthy, almost like weed, but after the initial spray it is spectacular. It is a warm tobacco vanilla and the patchouli keeps it long lasting. I love this fragrance. Give it a chance you won’t regret it. Good on its own but might layer with Carolina Herrera Amber Desire, Kayali Vanilla 28 or Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille. 9/10

I immediately get the oud patchouli and leather and to my nose while they are strong notes at first.....it's still sexy and delicious... the dry down though is magical! All the delicious notes dance on my skin creme brulee vanilla spices sugar ... I love this fragrance so much and it is my top favorite of 2023 ❤️ I brought a back up just in case it's discontinued like musk or silk 🫶🏾

Once upon a time, this was my favorite. No longer, as my tastes have evolved over the years (I was a Spice queen), but this is a syrupy spicy smooth fragrance, and it was a lot sweeter than some of my favorites at the time (think Black Opium). It is strong and lasts forever—I have a bottle from 2022. Currently, this fragrance is right behind YBM and Silk Santal for me.
