As it starts drying down the syrupy pear, juicy peach, sweet raspberry, soft Lily-of-the-valley, velvety peony, and sweet geranium intertwine with the top notes adding a soft fruity floral scent. The dry down is absolutely gorgeous with fluffy marshmallows, airy whipped cream, sugary sweet cotton candy, rich tonka bean, creamy sandalwood, and woody cedar. The notes that are the most prominent on me are the pistachio ice cream, hazelnut, sweet rum, geranium, whipped cream, marshmallows, cotton candy, tonka bean, and sandalwood. This is so delightfully yummy! A really unique and beautiful scent! It really does come across as something cool, and carries that facet throughout the whole wear. It’s gourmand, but also boozy, woody, and somewhat floral. It has a sweet and fluffy dry down with woody accords, but it doesn’t grow into something overly deep. It comes across as cool pistachio ice cream swirled with sugary cotton candy and fluffy marshmallows topped with airy whipped cream. It’s fitting with the softer base, as with a name like Pistachio Gelato you would expect something sweet, fluffy, and delicious. In the deep dry down this reads as a sugary cotton candy and cool nutty pistachio ice cream. I have several other pistachio fragrances including Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, SDJ 62, BBW Pistachio Glaze, and VS Pistachio Créme. I can’t say that any of them are that overly similar to this. If you’re looking for something that’s straight almond-pistachio like then I’d suggest trying BBW Pistachio Glaze. I have to mention how much this changed and grew on me. Whenever I first got this it came across as somewhat soapy and powdery, definitely not what I was expecting. I wasn’t overly drawn to it, but I kept coming back to it because I was re hopeful. Eventually, that soapy scent completely disappeared, and this grew into a really sweet and yummy gourmand scent. I’m not sure if it’s because it macerated, my nose changed, or some of both, but I’m absolutely delighted it happened because it’s a definite love now. I even got a 2nd bottle of it, and it immediately started off as the yummy goodness that I’ve described here. I’ve become a huge fan of Kayali fragrances, and they’re now my favorite brand. This was my first one followed by Vanilla 28 and Utopia Vanilla Coco. I now have a total of 18 different Kayali fragrances in my collection. My top 5 are Yum Boujee Marshmallow, Vanilla 28, The Wedding Silk Santal, Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar, and Yum Pistachio Gelato. For reference, some of my other favorites (besides the Kayali ones I’ve already mentioned) include PDM Oriana, GdT Celeste, Kilian LDBS, Princess, Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid, Burberry Goddess, The 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods, YSL Black Opium Le Parfum, Black Opium Glitter, D&G The One Desire, Valentino DBIR Ivory, JPG Classique Pin Up, JPG Classique (OG lace corset bottle), Guerlain Mon Guerlain, Ellis Brooklyn Marshmallows, Phlur Heavy Cream, SDJ Summer é Amor, 62, 39, VS Vanilla Lace (OG), BBW Beach Nights, Boardwalk Marshmallow Clouds, Fireside Flurries I always get excellent performance from Kayali fragrances, and YPG is no exception. The longevity is impressive, it lasts throughout the entire day on me. The projection is good, it radiates out a few feet from me. I only need a few sprays to get this effect, so I do consider this to be a good value. This is one of the few fragrances that I actually enjoy layering sometimes as well as wearing alone. I want to start my review focusing on Kayali as a brand alone. I have tried every fragrance they offer, and the only two in my collection are vanilla 28 and vanilla royale. I learned after invite only to stop purchasing full bottles and focus on the travel to test. I found myself getting excited over the releases just to end up not really liking the fragrance for one reason or another, and then having to either return, or give away the perfume. I find that their fragrances tend to be an unrefined version of many other well known Fragrances. I think Kayali is okay if you find those other fragrances to be more challenging. I, on the other hand think for the price I would prefer something stronger with better longevity. Onto pistachio gelato 33. I ordered a travel size of this fragrance from Sephora. Although I am sort of always underwhelmed by Kayali fragrances, they definitely intrigue you with all of the marketing and talk that they generate. With so many opinions of this scent I definitely wanted to try it to see what everyone was talking about and SUPRISE it was just like all other Kayali Fragrances that I have experienced...nothing quite special. This is just okay. On me it doesn’t last which I’m quite used to by now and the scent profile is nothing spectacular. It’s a pretty fragrance.You do get a slight bit of pistachio, but overall it is a very fresh fragrance that does settle down and becomes a bit more creamy. I can understand the soapy comments because to me this is like a creamy bodywash sort of smell. I don’t hate it and I actually really enjoyed wearing it for the past few days but I would definitely not spend $100 for a full size bottle. Is it bad, not by any means, but I can understand people are expecting something more, their fragrances are just so light and with all of the fragrance launches, I’ve smelled much better.

Okay so now that I’ve had several hours to sit with the perfume on I decided to delete my original review and do it over. I’ll start by saying that this is kind of unisex smelling to me. It has the freshness that someone’s perfumes tend to share. It’s not over bearing and ca still be worn as a feminine scent just not quite as much in the opening as I had thought. This smells really nice but I had higher expectations for it. And wow does this perfume ever have a crap load of notes it’s unbelievable! With the ones on the back of the bottle being all gourmand I expected it to be much more sweet rather than fresh. It’s not a bad thing....i have such a hard time giving bad review to any perfume lol I now have 8 and tomorrow will be 9 of the Kayali fragrances and this one is not in my top four sadly. It’s not a bad smell it’s just such a cluster of different notes it’s hard to explain how it smells. Each to their own I suppose! Oh and I’m on my third bottle of Maldives in a bottle it’s jus so so good, the problem is they last like a body mist hence how I ended up on my third bottle in less than six months , and I’ll buy another one next week to make sure I don’t run out!!!thanks for reading my rant haha

Wow , there's always variation in how people perceive fragrances, but it seems like there is extra diversity in these reviews. I LOVE this! I'm not typically a gourmand lover, but this one takes me on an entire citrus-spicy-sweet -smooth journey. The opening really does smell like lime sorbet from the bergamot and lactonic notes, but soon after, I get the cardamom and sandalwood sashaying into the picture. I haven't caught much of the florals, but the way the base notes of whipped cream, tonka and cacao meld sensuously together as it dries down is positively spellbinding to me. I absolutely cannot inhale it deeply enough. It creates such a cute little scent bubble, not overpowering but definitely noticeable to me. I will say I'm a sensitive sniffer lol so maybe the folks who only a masculine,cologne like impression of this are those who need something bolder. For me, it just smells so soft in the sense that I'm melting into it like a bowl of half-eaten gelato. YUM, indeed. I do also detect a bit of pink sugar DNA as someone else mentioned. Total winner , I love you Olivier Cresp!!

Smells familiar, but refined. Reminds be of a vanilla cake, like that old Play-Doh. This perfume gives me a middle school flashback after PE class where the girls would spray their sweet mists all over. Somehow it smells familiar, maybe like a BBW or Victoria's mists, but overall better. The opening is is very strong of the bergamot and as someone who expecting sweet notes from this perfume, the bergamot is quite distracting. Somehow i can pick up the peony and pear early on, mixed with the bergamot it's giving a more rounded green tea scent, very similar to Elizabeth Arden's. As the freshness subdued, what's left is a very warm and scrumptious scent, it's very pretty and nice, but not overly sweet. It's definitely the cream and cocoa. For me, the pistachio itself still lingers all time wearing, and more noticeable as the bergamot subdued. This would be a good blind buy, 8,5/10! I would not be mad giving this to someone or being gifted to LOL!

I had this as a signature scent when it first came out, I still have just under half a bottle left of the original release bottle. The sweet airy nature alongside the powdery talc feel is what I get. When I first got this, 4 or 5 colleagues decided they wanted to go and buy it after smelling it. It's a unisex leaning slightly feminine fragrance, and as a bloke you have to be really confident to wear fragrances like this. It's pleasant and disarming, and slightly alluring on a man. On a woman this is sexy and playful. The silage is what most people like, it's airy, rounded, nutty, and slightly creamy. It fills a room, and the skin scent becomes more talc on my skin. You have to reapply after a few hours, I tend to "spray away" (back of neck and behind ears/ head). Less likely to go anosmic to sweeter scents that way. This is one of the more unique fragrances out there, and Kayali is creating some great stuff.

I'm obsessed with this fragrance for the spring/summer weather. So sweet and yummy you can almost taste it. It's in the same gourmand wheelhouse as PDM's Oriana, except the nuttiness and subtle spice mixed in this one makes it stand out more to me. I put some on my arm the first time, and that scent stayed with me the entire day. It kept wafting in and out. I loved it. The pistachio note is very notable to me and that's what I expect, considering what the juice is called. It doesn't smell clean to me at all. To me it's pure, creamy dessert. It's fun to wear when you want to wear something feminine and sweet, or want to invite someone to take a "bite" out of you. It can be cloying on more humid/hotter days. In the summer, I would advise to spray lightly and in more agreeable environments, like on breezier days, or office/indoor activities.

Somebody must have put crack in here. I am in love with it! The influencers are right about this one. I disagree with the reviewers that find this scent juvenile. I think it's a very sweet, yet mature scent with a creamy drydown. The first 10 minutes are a little alcoholic and sharp, especially if your bottle hasn't really had the chance to age yet. I think that's the rum note. But after that, it becomes so nice! Don't mistake this for a pistachio fragrance though, because it isn't. It's a pistachio gelato fragrance. And that is exactly what I smell! When I wear this on a hot day, it feels refreshing and has me craving actual pistachio ice cream! 💚🍦 On colder days it creates a warm, non-cloying cloud that I can't get enough of. Combine this with D&G Devotion and you'll feel like you're in heaven!

This is so wonderful, I'm almost done with my 100ml bottle and will 100% repurchase. I've previously reviewed this (excellent performance and longevity, stunning gourmand that actually has a 'cold' feel to it) but wanted to make a note of some excellent layering combos I've discovered with this one:- - JHAG Not a Perfume, super clean but sweet at the same time - JHAG Powder Love, same as above - a bit more powdery and candy-like but still has that fresh, clean, bright quality - So...? Raspberry Frappe body mist, amps up the berry and smells like a sorbet :) - SdJ Cheirosa 62, delicious pistachio dessert - SdJ Cheirosa 71, more like a rich baklava than 62 - Carolina Herrera Good Girl Blush, surprisingly works super well and complements the bergamot/ almond tones nicely

To me this is a very photorealistic pistachio gelato scent. High quality pistachio gelato. Not “sweetened over the top and a green that’s not found in nature” ice cream. It’s creamy, a bit bright, with that yummy nutty goodness. I quite enjoy this. The longevity is typical of most Kayali fragrances, 3-5 hours depending on whether you spray your skin or your clothes. Doesn’t project hugely, but gives you a cozy scent bubble. I think in summer heat it will probably project more. I overspray. Decent release. Someone mentioned above that Kayali seems to be the fast fashion of fragrance houses, but I love that Mona follows trends (as I am enjoying all of them). Sugared Patchouli is amazing, imo. Not for the “average consumer”. I think these would layer fantastically.

So this is definitely perfume that slowly grown on me. I was not in love when first time I tested it. But after few more tries, I have finally understood that this scent is absolutely on point and that my expectations of what it suposed to be got in the way of being able to appreciate the perfum for what it actually is: beautiful fresh pistachio with creamy base, cold and raw soften by creamy notes and tonka bean. That is how it smells to me and now I am absolutely obsessed and in love with it. I do not get much of hazelnut but as we all know fragnance are very subjective. Took me 3 months of testing going back and forth, to fell in love with it. Definitely a permanent stay in my little collection 😍

I first purchased this fragrance in a travel size and later upgraded to the full bottle. It was not because it reminded me of sweet boozy pistachio ice cream. I tend to prefer clean fragrances with soft floral notes. With Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato 33, I notice a bright bergamot opening that feels fresh and airy. It then softens into a creamy scent that reminds me of conditioner with a light soapy quality. As it dries down it becomes warmer and slightly woody while still feeling clean. I could convince myself the opening is a little sour if I focus on it, but it does not last long and fades quickly, which is probably my only small complaint. Overall it settles into a smooth clean scent on my skin.

This is definitely a love or hate type of relationship. For me, I absolutely adore this perfume. I notice a lot of people describe this as plasticky or cleaning-product scented, but I don't see that. I would describe this as a cold, nutty perfume that is reminiscent of a gelato shop selling pistachio ice cream. It's nutty and creamy in the dry down, but has a citrus opening that quickly goes away. It is a powdery fragrance, so I can see why some may describe this as smelling like "baby wipes" but the powdery quality is blended perfectly with the sweet ice cream facets. That being said, it is not blind buy safe and I would recommend giving this a sniff before purchasing.

This has aged beautifully! I remember when Yum Pistachio was first released, and it received a lot of mixed reviews ....a few years later, and it smells even more spectacular. I can smell almost every note. Its light, fresh, but still creamy and decadent all at the same time. It checks all the boxes for me when it comes to a fragrance.... scent, sillage, longevity AND compliments. The pistachio scent profile has been super popular and a lot of brands have tried to replicate it, but Kay Ali's formula remains the best.

I bought a Kayali perfume sampler set and this was one of the fragrances in the set and OMG is this ever yummy! I was expecting the pistachio to be all you could smell but it’s so much more than just that! It’s really creamy and sweet smelling without being too youthful if that makes sense. It’s actually got a cozy vibe to it, like oversized sweaters with tights and boots in the fall kind of vibe. I would say this would be best worn in the fall and winter, but I wear what I want when I want haha

This is overly hated imo. It’s a fresh pistachio ice cream with a yummy hazelnut drizzle, topped with cotton candy, whipped cream, and marshmallows. I get some of that rum and bergamot in the beginning, and the jelly texture of the Turkish delight in the dry down. It’s sweet, yummy, and I love it! Definitely test it out before blind buying, however, as the pistachio note can be a little sharp. Ps: if you want a cheaper alternative, definitely go for khair pistachio 🤭 it’s very similar.

I smelled something grassy woody like patchouli and then i realized it's cardemom, it's fresh almost like men fregrance, the pistachio is showing but not like sol de janiero way it's in a woody way, however it's very summery and it's not everybody's taste Update: it's really strange how perfume works with the weather, I purchased it in the last weeks of winter and didn't like it that much, now in hot weather it's genius, refreshing, unique, green and alittle bit edible.

Unpopular opinion here apparently but I really do love this smell. On my skin it smells like the perfect nutty gourmand with a slight warmth to it, no idea why but its's also VERY long lasting on my skin i've fallen asleep with this on and woken up with it the next day. Continuing on unpopular opinions but I think its also a very good perfume for winter! reminds me of roasted nuts with a creamy undertone.

I love this! Wasn't sure what to expect, maybe something super sweet? Instead I got a very fresh, clean, cold scent with a bit of sweetness. Its different to any other fragrance I own. I sometimes like to layer with Vanilla 28 to amp up the sweetness a bit. Projection and sillage are both pretty impressive. I think its suitable for anytime of the day and year.

I have this fragrance in the layering set. I took it away with me to use to finish it up. Thought initially that it was too sharp and offensive. As I wore it though I kept smelling whiffs of something nice- it was the perfume! This is a lovely, clean, soapy, creamy, nutty, woody scent on me. Purchased a bigger bottle and now looking forward to wearing it.

This is one of a kind. Honestly, nothing smells like it. This is not heavy on the pistachio, and that is why it works so well. It's not your basic gourmand, this has depth. It is nutty, sweet, lactonic, smoky, unique. This is mature, deep, evolved. She gives cozy, clean, complex. Luxurious and rich and sexy in all the right places!

This is well-named and very yummy. :) The rum note is not the first thing that springs to mind when thinking of pistachio gelato, but it surprisingly delicious and makes the whole thing feel a bit more grown up. I bought a small bottle of this online when I was in hospital for a good chunk of 2024, and it really cheered me up.

Opens fresh and lightly sweet. To my nose, it doesn't feel too sharp. That sweet and fresh smell lasts quite a long time on my skin and even when it dries down, there's this quality that makes the scent feel airy yet warm. I don't know how to describe it better but I love this! Especially for hotter weathers.

This perfume is worth the hype and worth the money. An absolute complement getter, the opening smells like delicious cookies, while being simultaneously fresh, you can smell it on the clothes weeks later. I wore it during my pregnancy, which says a lot. A super high quality perfume, top of the game 👌

I hated this perfume at first, but I kept testing it in store every time I stopped by. I ended up buying a small bottle during a sale and became obsessed. I now have a new bottle and a backup 100ML. It’s sweet, creamy, clean, and really gets amazing after it sits a few weeks. Definitely a LOVE.

Must be one of my favorite scents ever. Sweet, airy, fresh and unique. I smell mostly whipped cream, pistachio and gelato with a hint of rum. Love that it's a gourmand that can be worn all year around. Wish it was a bit stronger though but maybe that would make it too cloying in the summer!

I would recommend to those who like a very sweet kind of pistachio sent. I would say the sillage isn't the most fragrant, unless you spray a lot of the perfume on. I wouldn't recommend layering with this perfume, as it's already complex. If you do, I would try out a cherry perfume

Blind buy on Vinted after a Tiktok review.... At first I didn’t like it. It smelled like some kind of soap, so disappointed.... BUT, it only gets better on my skin. Really gourmand that I love. So sweet and nice efter a few hours. I think you can wear it all year.

Perfect to wear after a shower. Clean fragrance that compliments sweet notes of pistachio and cotton candy, very woody as well. Fresh + clean sweet your skin but better vibes (doesn’t last as long as other Kayali’s)

This is almost the same as Fortuitous Finley from Penhaligon's, except Penhaligon's knows how to make a fragrance last. The pistachio is short lived and drydown is more of a soft, spiced pear.

Smells like the idea of pistachio ice cream. Slightly nutty, very airy, kinda soapy in a very "clean girl" way. It's like getting gelato in summer and feeling the coldness go up your nose.

Someone here just said no one over 25 should wear this. We'll - I'm 51, and I love it. Plus I've never gotten so many compliments over a perfume before.

This and also DUA's version Pistachio Dream Gelato 33, both have an ambroxan sour dish soap scent mainly in the opening, like the Palmolive green dish detergent. I agree with the reviews mentioning a detergent smell or cleaning product. It's the bergamot with the lily of the valley behind this weird green sour scent, intensified by the peony, and possibly some hidden ambroxan in both perfumes. The cardamom makes this aromatic too, along with the other fresh notes. In Dua perfumes I find this more often, as in Ajwa Dates where there is this similar Palmolive green sour detergent scent which ends up smelling entirely sour like Cactus Blossom by bbw, and also in Ivory Vanillac Coffee, same sour weird green scent at first, but not so ambroxan-like which also has lily of the valley and bergamot so same notes. Here it is more sour than in Ivory Vanillac Coffee due to the sour peony note. It's not the warm decadent gourmand pistachio like DUA Pistachio Cream Delight, Eclaire Pistache or a gourmand sweet cool-toned scent like Demeter's Pistachio Ice Cream. The only good thing about Yum Pistachio is that the mid and drydown have some sweetness and more of the base notes bloom on the skin, still moderately, and that's when the fresher sour weird opening blends into the sweetness and makes some sense giving a unique aromatic fresh twist to a sweet scent. Again, this is more aromatic, than gourmand. The raspberry and peach are intense sweet candy-like notes (peach is usually plastic on me, not here though), yet they provide a moderate sweetness due to the presence of the fresh notes. Both gradually become sweeter. The projection from both is nice and attractive throughout despite the detergent sour scent of the opening. After having the DUA sit for 2 years I no longer get the dish wash detergent sour bergamot as intense in the opening and it blends quicker with the other notes. The result is a fresh slightly soapy pistachio green scent with moderate sweetness. The lily of the valley is behind the soapy effect. To me the Pistachio Dream Gelato 33 by Dua is the closest dupe. It doesn't end up smelling like aftershave so the cardamom isn't dominant. I normally go for the sweeter smooth vanilla pistachio scents but the fresh soapy pistachio type has a unique allure that I recently loved. I'm glad I didn't sell my bottle.

you have to admire mona kattan's impact at the moment in the fragrance community, because how are both this AND yum boujee marshmallow became two of the most duped fragrances on their respective dna's? really, when there's a new pistachio scent coming out- it's going to be compared to yum pistachio gelato, and then for yum boujee it's the same, almost as if it has became the standard for marshmallow and pistachio perfumes. so whether you love it or hate it, you have to admire the originality of these two and the way it took the community by storm. honestly, it would go down in the history of perfumery. let me get started, yum pistachio gelato is a like for me, not a love. something i have in my collection, as well as layering for it, but it's not something i reach for a lot. i have to be in the mood for this dna. sometimes it smells different to my nose as well, sometimes it's more soapy and sometimes it's more creamy. but i feel that if anything- it's just a testament for the complexity of this scent. it's a gourmand that's not your typical cupcake or ice cream, and i would give the team their 10's for that. going for something that could have gotten mixed reviews (and it did initially, because people were thinking it's going to be a simple creamy pistachio) but i like the dna for what it is and luckily for me, i think it's leaning unisex. love the powderniness, the nuttiness, and the sweetness level of this- it's all not too much. love the initial spray of how fresh/cold it is, almost like a pistachio ice cream that i wish you'd get it throughout the olfactive journey, but alas it changes by the hour mark and when your bottle macerates and gets darker, so does the scent. performance wise, not sure why it's "intense" it's not really. but oh well. it's a gourmand after all. now i said i'll start with yum pistachio gelato, but i won't get into yum boujee marshmallow since this is a page for the former. i just have to say, after owning both for some time now. i do prefer the boujee marshmallow. something about its fluffyness is just more delicious to me, and i reach for it the most. i hope they expand the yum line, wherein the perfumes would always have marshmallow and whipped cream.

I liked the color of the bottle, so I got YPG as a blind buy. This Kayali fragrance smells, to me, like a complete experience of going to a gelateria in a hot day. As I open the entrance door a burst of green—unripe bergamot room freshener—greets me coolly, wiping off the sweat slowly dripping above my eyebrow. It eases me to the counter, where pistachio and hazelnut are being chopped finely, mixed with a slew of floral spices, folded into a thick vanilla gelato. Tahitian vanilla gelato where you know they added a tad bit too much sugar in it. I bite a spoonful of the gelato and it's sweet, leaving behind a milky, powdery marshmallow aftertaste – a very light, quick bite of indulgence. Like ice cream are, the cold gelato doesn't last long, only the aftertaste does. The astringent citrus lingers far too long for an opening note until I get to the dry down, as if I'm exiting the store. The scent bubble that envelops around you is similar to a nutty vanilla cake. I suspect all the middle notes just got jumbled together in the sweetness as they are no longer distinct from one another. Also, a stronger rum or cacao would make this a stronger gourmand than atmospheric, I feel. The performance is actually good, pretty lasting scent with equally loud projection. The scent doesn't change much between my skin and my clothes, but I feel body warmth would really amplify the nuttiness of this perfume. This is the fragrance that made me realize how ill-suited I am for nutty gourmands, as delicious as they are. As another review I read have said – "I like pistachio in my dessert, but not on my body."

First....thank goodness I found this for less. If I would have purchased at Sephora, I would have taken this back. Its a nice scent, but the profile is completely wrong. There is no pistachio, honestly, it smells like a newborn baby after it has breastfed and had its diaper changed. You know that divine smell right at their pudgy little neck...It's sweet and intimate. I suggest it be renamed "Yummy, Sweet Baby". If renamed everyone would go gaga over how Kayali got it right. Mothers with teens missing that baby stage will make a run on this stuff! But the scent profile is totally off. No pistachio, rum or florals. Just an amalgam of soft sweetness, a low hint of nuttiness. And I dont mean sugar sweet, I mean emotionally sweet. Not wearable alone, I guess that was intended. I layered this with EOS Pistachio cream to get at least some pistachio. It killed the lotion! I now own the OG of pistachios. Meh. DM me if you wanna buy this one. Edit 6/9/26: I finally get it. Not super nutty...but correct nutty. I stand by my new born baby assessment....but my oh my it is a wonderful Pistachio. Ethereal not gourmand...not the trendy creamy cookie scent. Still too expensive for a skin scent, but this is really in my wheel house. If someone wanted to walk up and eat me...I would slap them. This is my idea of a wearable nutty scent. I will not buy again....but I will enjoy. This is a summer delight!

I have been on a real journey with this perfume. When it first released, I got a travel size. This was during the summer time. But within a week I started to dislike the scent and noticed that the scent didn't last. I ended up returning it. But I kept trying in store. I ended up purchasing a 3.4 oz during 2024 Winter holiday. Loved it during the winter time. It's sweet, nutty, creamy, cozy and spicy but still fresh at the same time. To me, it feels like wearing a cozy fuzzy sweater that's soft while eating a pistachio gelato. Once the weather in Florida started to heat up I couldn't bear the scent of it. It was too spicy from the cardamon and boozy from the rum. Fast forward to now, Fall 2025, it's still in the 80s in FL. It's still too spicy, but now it's even stronger. I can't wear this if it's not under 70 degrees. I pick up a different scent when it's cold outside. So I am looking forward to wearing this during the winter. I don't consider this a spring/summer perfume at all. This perfume makes me go in loops loving and hating it. But I think it's all about the outside temperature for me. Anyone interested, Id recommend trying this in store on your skin and doing a trial using a sample or travel size. It's a great scent but it's very different from anything else that I have tried.

She’s here!! And the verdict.... I like her, but it’s not a love. Pistachio Gelato is NOT a photorealistic gourmand. She’s not sticky and sickly sweet at all. Instead, she’s a well balanced fresh gourmand, with floral/nutty/woody nuances. For those that were looking for something similar to Cheriosa 62, this isn’t it at all. She gets sweeter as she dries down, but that initial blast is quite floral I have to say. The name definitely fits it because it has a light, creamy, pistachio vibe to it without being nauseating. I don’t have any pistachio in my collection, so this would be a nice, easy addition. I feel like most Kayali scents need to macerate as well before you can REALLY give a full review, but so far, I do enjoy it. I’m going to give it about a week before I decide to keep it or not because my collection is unnecessarily big right now so the last thing I need to do is add something that’s not a love. To my nose, it does smell VERY similar to Soft / Pink Sugar but less citrusy and with a distinct woodiness/nuttiness to it. The longevity is pretty on par with the rest of Kayali (so NOT GREAT lol), but again, I think it needs time to macerate. Edit: she’s a love now lol. It only took me a few tries to promote her!! Well done Kayali!

Opens strong with the pistachio and the cool freshness, the sweetness of the ice cream, marshmallow, sugar and whipped cream notes is really at the heart of this and yet, it is never cloying or overwhelming. I love the nuttiness that comes in as it settles and that, combined with that airy and light sweetness is so delectable. Big fan of that hint of cardamom I get, even though in theory cardamom probably shouldn't work with this but it just DOES. Truly one of those gourmands that makes you feel edible. That freshness in the beginning is so well done and present whilst still being subtle. That really makes this such a perfect spring/summer scent. This is for a bright, sunny day when there are starch white cumulus clouds out and there's still a slight breeze. That kind of weather only happens for a cool three weeks where I'm from, so wearing this helps me microdose how good that tiny window of spring feels before summer hits us like a blast from a furnace. I really love this, it's everything I wanted it to be and everything it markets itself as.

This is so odd to me but I can't stop sniffing it? If you're looking for a gourmand, this will disappoint you. This is not the gourmand pistachio gelato you're looking for. It smells like artificial pistachios (like the way pistachio ice cream flavor is artificial. It's not a negative thing but if def doesn't smell/taste like real pistachios), and soap, and the inside of a bag of marshmallows. I wouldn't say it has a marshmallow note in it but there like a generic yet familiar powdery sweet scent and it doesn't smell exactly like marshmallows but the powder residue inside a bag would be closest. The most prominant note is soap for me, with pistachios and inside-of-marshmallow-bag still noticeable, but it's not nearly as strong as the soap. It sounds bad and it's a little weird but it's good? When I first smeled it it was so weird but I can't stop sniffing it. It keeps me coming back. I'm 75% done with my travel size but I still don't know if I like this. I guess I must like it to some degree since I keep reaching for it but it's weird.

A very weird perfume. I bought the 10ml to try and really didn’t like it at first. Literally didn’t know what I was smelling. It’s very soapy and clean for me, but I never buy “clean girl” scents or anything like that so maybe that’s just against my standards. But the soapiness is what dominates till you get the lovely marshmallowy vanilla sandalwood. For me this smells almost almond-y on the dry down. Definitely grew on me A LOT and didn’t take long. For me this is the perfect bed time fragrance. It smells like your mum just gave you a bath and milk and cookies. Very clean and soapy but also sweet and fresh. I plan on buying a 50ml when I run out of my mini as I’d really like to keep this in my collection for bed time but that’s about as far as it’s use goes for me. Definitely a bit more of a personal, intimate scent that isn’t too strong for my boyfriend at night.

This brand is looking more and more like a bandwagon brand--oh, look cherry is the note of the month, er no pistachio, uh no vanilla!--and while influencers are raving and rolling their eyes in ecstasy, I'm getting a much different take from 'regular' consumers. The shampoo thing is also being mentioned in several reviews of other fragrances along with vagueness in notes. It leaves me wondering what aromachemicals are being used to cause that shampoo smell (which I despise in most fragrances) and why all this vagueness and 'hints of' rather than full-bodied, bold compositions. I mean if you're going to go pistachio ice cream, then go big or go home. I can see from the note break down this is a hot mess--go back to the drawing board and realize that sometimes less is more and fortune favors the bold...

Very, very, VERY feminine! Powdery and sweet. Joyful. Definitely a brighter daytime scent, though I would also layer it with other scents for going out at night. Quite lovely, but SO incredibly feminine that unless I'm dressed in pastels and want to feel very girly, it feels "off" as a choice. That could be just me though, scent memory is very strong, and this was my fragrance of choice during a period of my life where I was living very hyper-feminine, but also really struggling. So I think that's why I'm now so selective about its usage. It's not the most long-lasting, and I've heard there are better pistachio scents out there. Still, I'm grateful for the travel size bottle I have, for being my first foray into pistachio scents, and bringing me joy in a dark time.

This is fine. For me, it's not a gourmand though. Do NOT blind buy it expecting an edible gourmand. I do understand why people tend to think it leans "clean". There's a background sweetness to it but it's only the faintest of notes for me. I got a slightly fruity clean pistachio scent that is quite soft and smooth, but not creamy or edible. It'd be a nice spring/summer daytime fragrance, I can see it being refreshing, but honestly for the intimate profile and softness (and price) I'd rather wear vanilla candy rock sugar or La Belle Paradise for these seasons, which are both slightly sweeter, fruitier, have a more realistic pear note and are still summer appropriate.
