Grenats

Adore it! This, to me, is sparkling effervescence. Like champagne or gingerale and it has an addictive quality that I just cannot get enough of. It makes me feel giddy. I tend to over spray myself. It just smells so damn good! I get lots of compliments from men and women. A spring summer signature! (I don’t smell any musk on me).

YUM!! Pomegranates, Angelica & Musk! I don't get the other notes listed but what I do get is absolutely delicious and very, very feminine. This is the first perfume big on Angelica that I've worn and I have to say, I am obviously a BIG fan of that note. So floral, so fresh, so prominent yet so gentle. Silage and projection are quite impressive - and I can see easily wearing this one all year round. There is something so comforting and warm about this scent and I'm really enjoying my little decant :) Thanks to the lovely Fragrantica member for allowing me to try this, it is gorgeous xo

I really like the fruity notes... Pomegranate and Mandarin Oranges yum! The rose in this fragrance is subtle .. quietly hidden ...but there ... I really wanted this to be a fun "Summer Time" Fragrance Juicy...full of body and character .. like "Island Kiss by Escada" it just settles a bit tooo soft ... for my tastes... and suddenly then vanishes... A bit too quiet and reserved for me ... Perhaps I should try her other fragrance ..."Wild Berries"

GRENATS is very musky, unbearably musky for me. Thankfully it lasted only 3 hours, so I did not have to suffer too long. It's not that I HATE musk, but I seem to dislike perfumes in which musk is paired with notes that shouldn't be paired with musk. Well now I know that for one it's angelica - the combo for me is suffocating and resembling a bit Secretions Magnetifiques (yes, I do really mean it). I was almost determined to scrub it off before I remembered that it's not nice to judge the perfume after it's opening. The heart part became more tolerable - musky, sour, cold fruits, very shy. Dry down was an hour of musky berries a bit similar to MpG "Eau de Mure".

Weirdly my bottle is in the original simple early 2000’s Keiko Mecheri bottle, looks exactly like my bottle of Damascena with the oval cap and clear rectangular bottle. The sticker on the bottom says “GRENADES”. I don’t know if this clears up some mystery we are having about why this perfume seemingly has two different names, but I thought it was interesting. Took me a while to find the right page on here as a result. So to start, I’m pretty sure the hyacinth note people are detecting is the Angelica. It’s very sweet and green, almost basil-like without being astringent. On my skin it overpowers everything else for the first hour of application. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not what I was expecting at all. After a while I caught a whiff of my wrist again and I can smell some fruitiness like pomegranate—almost kind of mouthwatering like when you eat a ton of the seeds of a real pomegranate. I like the effect. It also reminds me of Jo Malone Strawberry & Parsley. I feel like next time someone asks me about “wet garden” or “herb” scents I’ll include this one alongside the Jo Malone and ELDO’s “You or Someone Like You.” I think the description of this as a fruity floral isn’t really accurate in the way people usually expect fruity florals to come out. This is nothing like Marc Jacobs Daisy or Byredo Mojave Ghost—it’s more unisex bordering on masculine. I like it, but I’d say avoid it if you’re looking for something juicy sweet. This is sweet in the way a flower is but not like grenadine as the name might imply. Silage on me? Soft. Longevity is good so far—5 hours and I’m just starting to feel like it’s fading.
