Musc

Let me start by saying, that in our erratic and stressful times it is very difficult to find tranquility and balance in our lives. Hence one should apply Keiko Musc;) If I was asked, I would call this scent: Musc zen. The beginning was not at all promising. It started dusty, powdery and I thought for a moment : boring... However, after a couple of minutes it got warmer and rounder. It seemed there is a single note only, a clear and transparent musc. Delicate, clean scent of harmony and balance. In my eyes this is the vision of a day spent at home, lounging in comfy cashmere clothes. In Japanede Zen means meditation and it is surely perfect gor this. It smells soft, warm and sensual, just like our skin.

this is one lovely total understatement, egelant superfeminine powdery white musc scent. It stays close to the skin and smells very intimate without smelling dirty or suggestive in any way. I get clean white musc powder, white rose petals, white sandalwood and iris dust (no iris root at all) with a slight, very soft soapy note blended to perfection. I'm so happy I coudl get a new unopened bottle of this accidentally, I really like this one. And yes, it's for refined noses and those who particularly like soft scents. I totally see this as a liked perfume in Japan as they truly hate loud perfumes. If you generally like muscs and you don't like the momentary modern versions with all the synthetics (muscenone etc.) give it a try if you can get one of these rare bottles

Anomaly It's not just boring, it's even a scam...it's like the more a perfumeur ask a crazy price for nothing (no quality, no technic, no smell) the more there is a mental game to imagine there is in fact a subtility that you only can be smart enough to understand.... Look at this fabulous fabric my Emperor... if you use a Nivea cream you will have a stronger and better iris perfume on your skin PS: there is some trolls who always put 10 votes for the category enormous in sillage and eternal in longevity for all the Keiko Mecheri perfumes . Really not helpfull...

Nothing original, also I can feel a massive and unpleasant note of lavender that is not contained in the ingredients. I do not like it.

I acquired the large Keiko Mecheri sample set a couple of years ago, and I must say that it has afforded a splendid journey through this house's impressive collection. The quality is unerringly phenomenal, with a big emphasis on natural essences, so it's not that surprising that I've become quite smitten with these perfumes. Having now acquired some of the drop-dead gorgeous bottles in their equally attractive textured-surface boxes, I have to say that the aesthetics are top-notch on every front. In fact, I believe that the Keiko Mecheri bottles are my absolute favorites of all! The reason why I waited so long to test Musc is simply that musk solinote perfumes are generally not that appealing to me. This one is clean, sweet, and subtle, so it's definitely the sort of musk I like, and if I were looking for a white musk perfume, I'd absolutely consider this one. No sweaty, musty yuckiness is present whatsoever in this well-blended scent. It dries down to a very pleasing skin scent, so some people may find it boring, but I consider the sort of subtlety characteristic of many of the perfumes of this house to be a virtue, as it undeniably is here.

Keiko Mecheri's Musc is a very soft and sweet interpretation of this particular kind of scent. This is a very clean musk fragrance, and it lacks the raw, carnal quality that is the basis of many musk scents. And I have to say, that shy, unassuming quality to it is why I like it. It's a demure musk that will gently meld with your skin to bring out your natural sensuality, rather than one that will scream sexiness. Musc seems to sweeten on the skin as the day wears on. I could detect the tonka and amber emerging later on in the dry down. I find this so delicately beautiful that it's difficult not to like it. Something in this reminds me of JHAG's Not a Perfume. Perhaps it's the subtle "my skin but sweeter" quality that the two share. Anyway, a very nice fragrance, even for a non-musk lover like me. After a few hours this one becomes a skin scent, but lasts the whole day. KM's Musc probably won't blow you away, but it will float you away gently on a fragrant cloud.

Just a basic, clean laundry musk. Nothing animalic here. Musk is 90% of the scent. I wouldn't have guessed that sandalwood and ambergris are here. To me it smells like clean synthetic musk + ambrette + powdery sweet rose. Snore.
