Peau de Peche

This is a deceptively simple compostion. The fragrance opens with a beautiful peach and apricot jam, one made with very little sugar. Underneath this there is soon discernable a mixture of sweet-peach and black-cherry pipe tobacco, quite syrupy and dark and dense like aged fruitcake, though nothing like as full-on as some of the more baroque offerings from Oncle Serge. Gradually this segues into a serene, milky, sandalwood-spicy heart which I find utterly entrancing, and all the while the jam and the fruity tobacco persist in the background. Eventually some slightly fruity white musks take over and persist well into next day. One of these white musks used is a very interesting one: it's sweet, pretty, nose-tingling and soaring here in Peau de Pêche, and also in Chanel's outstanding Cologne, and it is very similar to the predominant musk in L'Artisan's Mûre et Musc. However, its hint of the vaguely scatalogical becomes more noticeable at higher concentrations such as as in Mugler's Cologne (the best way I can describe it is how fleece of the cheap blanket / polyester hiking-jacket variety smells when it's just been washed and dried, which is to say of fresh washing powder along with a hint of sweet vomit... you'll either nod in agreement here, or think I'm totally bonkers, depending on how your nose reacts to notoriously quixotic synthetic musks). Anyway, to sum up, this perfume is just lovely, and works well in any weather. In the heat the fruitiness is jammy but tart and refreshing and the musk is uplifting, while in cooler months the spicier, warmer notes are more prominent, wrapping the wearer in a surprisingly rich, fruity, creamy goodness. Either way it could not be further from the hackneyed fruity-floral creations that have taken over the world's department-store fragrance counters – it's a woody musk with top notes of tangy, grown-up fruit. Heartily recommended.

Where I live, we produce much of the produce for the rest of the country. I am pretty familiar with cycle of growth and death and re-birth that occurs over countless seasons. This perfume captures that perfect moment of real spring. White peaches are a different sort of fruit, blossoming and maturing before their yellow cousins. They are often ready in spring, before the full and heavy days of summer. As a result, they are less sweet, more green and can be slightly bitter on the skin before you reach the flesh. Peau de Peche is an homage to that fruit. The fruit that does not give up its richness easily. You smell the fuzzy peach skin, rich with promise, yet slightly tannic and sharp. You bite in and are greeted with a delicate, floral sweetness with an edge of green. This marvelous peach nectar lingers on you, but it is never heavy or overdone. As the perfume dries down, the woodiness of the peach tree makes an appearance, finishing the illusion of a peach orchard. A glorious and beautiful work of art by Keiko Mecheri. It cannot be easy to get the effect of peach and never lose the green notes. I find it a triumph of modern perfumery. The overall effect is not loud, but subtle. I don't mind as I get consistent wafts over a good 6 hours. I don't need to always have a huge cloud of fragrance that follows me. This would be a great choice for the discerning perfume lover who works in an office environment or other place where loud perfumes are not appropriate.

Okay, so I really can't believe I haven't reviewed this gorgeous perfume yet. It once was the closest thing to being my signature scent, before I finally for the most part committed to one, but after I got pregnant, the scent was absolutely nauseating to me(please note, NOT the perfumes fault, obviously). Now, I am back to it, reserving it for only the most beautiful of days, and all I can really do is sum its character up into 3 words: elegant(the strongest word for this masterpiece), beautiful and ultra-feminine. The peche is to die for and honestly, no peach fragrance will ever come close to this perfect concoction. No sickly sweetness or nasty bo smell here, that too many peach perfumes result in. Just pure, grown up, confidant peach (which I'm sure is heavily influenced by the orris powder). I'm so happy I can wear this again, because she truly is one of the most beautiful fragrances ever made. She's not sexy, she's not intoxicating, she's just irresistibly gorgeous. The woman that wears this perfume evokes class, mystery(because she NEVER gives it all away), and elegance.

I've used two sample vials of this and plan to buy the full bottle. I've also tried in store and sprayed on my wrist. It's a tart juicy peach with with a bit of green at the start. I don't like syrupy fruit smells. The tartness stays throughout for me and I found that I could still smell it on my skin and get a few small wafts here and there until I fell asleep about 6 hours later. There is a lightly powdery sweetness on the dry down that is really beautiful and comforting. It definitely has that peachy shampoo vibe, which I never thought I'd go for but I love. Can't wait to see how it performs when spritzed a but on hair and clothing. I plan to use this for daily wear. After working in a small office building for the past few months and gagging on the clouds of Chanel and baccarat that get trapped in the halls I definitely see the importance of being considerate and wearing something closer to the skin. The price point is also good for daily wear IMO and I'm excited to wear something that's extremely light and feminine.

I got a small sample of this when I was on a Peach and Rose kick. It had been sitting awhile because I lost the interest in Peach scents. Well, I love this perfume and immediately sought out a decant (I’m supposed to be on a no buy! Lol). Anyway, it is a soft fruity white peach. On my skin I didn’t get a lot of woody or powdery notes. Maybe a little bit like peach scented shampoo. But gosh, it’s lovely. Not perfumey at all. I used my sample at 7 am and could still smell it on my clothes at 4:30 pm, so it lasts really well on clothing. Just now I decided to try J-Scents Tender Peach, thinking it would be similar, with the white peach and “tender” in its name. They are nothing alike! Peau de Peche is fruity, tender, and feminine. Tender Peach is astringent, green, and unisex. Peau de Peach for the win!

This is one of the most beautiful fragrances I've ever smelled. Immediately after trying my decant, I knew I had to get myself a full bottle. Fresh, realistic and elegant smelling peach with some powderiness. This is what I had hoped Jo Malone's Nectarine Blossom and Honey would smell like, but that one smells synthetic and flat compared to this beauty. Perfect for spring time! EDIT: I've noticed that as time progresses, the scent departs from the fresh peach nuance and becomes more musky and a little sour (not in a bad way though). At this stage I find it very similar to Jo Malone's Wild Bluebell. Nice.

Dreamy,delicate and powdery..light as a cloud. I really like this perfume,covers me with his notes in perfect harmony, the white peach here is very well balanced. It evolves slowly in an enveloping aura dream ... This parfum gives me simplicity, freshness and lightness, it makes me feel peaceful, I think this may be fine unisex. This is a work of art by Keiko Mecheri. It deserves to enter my collection :). The sillage is soft, but the longevity is good. Great perfume. The peach in KayAli The Wedding Silk is very similar to this, albeit obviously not as peachy, but it's the same type of peach. I poured the remainder of a small bottle of TWS into a half gone decant of Peau de Pêche, then mixed well. I accidentally created a most beautiful fragrance 🥂🍑🪵🌸🍦...silky, floral, peachy and boozy sweet amber-vanilla musk. Both are lovely fragrances alone, but I created a truly gorgeous smell by blending the remnants of these 🥹.

Lovely green peach, fresh without too much of sweetness, juicy and very light. I perceive it as a peach (pastel orange) colored musk, not like a fruity perfume. Quite safe, great as a gift to either a young girl or boy, or a person who does not like strong perfumes, or does not perfume her- or himself at all. I personally would love it if it was a stronger, but still pretty much like it anyways.

This is an IDEA of a peach. No fruit flesh, juice, brown soft spots. It's not even the skin of the peach but the hairs on top of the skin. A metaphysical peach, the cleanest, most sterile peach you can have. I really like this scent. It gives me compliments and comforts me. Shampoo all day long. And you thank every penny for having bought such an expensive shampoo.

I must agree with Mals86 that what little peach there is to smell it was gone after only 1 hour by me...and I had used an ORIGINAL perfumery sample of the EDP version..so maybe in The Guide they d used the perfume.. anyway I had one hour pleasure from the powdery velvety peach skin..nice but not great in my nose

Creamy, beautiful, juicy, and stemmy photorealistic peach. In awe at how elegant, delicious, juicy, and clean this is. If a velvety peach blossom had a fragrance this is exactly what it would be. Simply a gorgeous fragrance 😻, signature worth. Very well done!

in the opening it's really a smell of peach skin,so feminine and delicate. after a while it turns into Amaretto fragrance. i love both fresh peaches and amaretto, therefore i find this perfume particularly delicious!

I have a sample of this and I love it! But it doesn't last. I get 2 good hours if I slather it on but at hour 3 I can barely detect it. For those who have a bottle, does spraying it help with the longevity at all?

this isn’t a juicy ripe peach, it’s a soft peach, still on its branch in an orchard of peach trees. This is powdery, woody, and soft, with a natural sweetness. This scent is simple and sweetly comforting.

Exactly what I wanted, a soft powdery realistic peach a million miles from Bath and Body Works.

Keiko Mecheri PEAU DE PECHE is one of the most accurately named perfumes I've ever encountered. Yes, this is the scent of a ripe, unsliced peach. Even the texture is captured in this composition, as there is a warm fuzziness to PEAU DE PECHE. Wearing this creation immediately conjures up in my mind the image of a reddish-orange peach with shades of gray on its edges caused by the fuzz. Although the peachiness is central, this is a far cry from some of the more popular peach perfumes, including Lancôme TRESOR, Lalique LALIQUE, and Aramis TUSCANY PER DONNA. In this Keiko Mecheri creation there is no syrup present whatsoever, with the result (happy to some...) that the cloying quality of many other peach creations is entirely absent. I imagine that TRESOR is the best-selling peach perfume of all time, but for some it is too tattoo-like and sweet. For those people, looking for a true peach but with no sugar added, I highly recommend PEAU DE PECHE, a gorgeous and well-made perfume. That said, because fruit notes are so finicky (many of them do not work on my skin, and see the reviews by naysayers, below), it would be a good idea to try before you buy, even if you are a peach fanatic. Peau de Pêche smells almost exactly like I hoped based on the name: peachy, soft, slightly dusty, utterly wonderful. It manages to avoid the trap of wanting to smell just as stickily sweet as the real thing, which is delicious for a real fruit but hard to get right for a perfume, where it mostly becomes syrupy, candied instead. Which I like if I'm in a very specific, rare mood, but mostly find offputting. Here the peach is recognisable without being gourmand or even especially sweet. Apart from the peach note in itself, the fragrance's powdery aspect helps with that: provides it with an almost fuzzy quality that's definitely successful as an evocation of peach skin. The result is fruity in a restrained, non-edible but somehow slightly boozy way that I find very appealing. I like it very much; at last I've found a true peach-focused scent that's suitable for all occasions (instead of those supersweet ones that I enjoy in private but would never wear outside). The only downside is the disappointing longevity.

Peau de Peche turns out very fruity on my skin, especially in the opening. This peach is really light and sparkling, not as syrupy as many other peaches. Like a barely ripe white peach. To my nose it seems like there must be some unlisted citrus notes in here. In the drydown the peach is enhanced by a warm fuzziness of iris, musk and light woody notes. A very fitting texture for a fragrance named after peach skin! It's still all very clean and fresh. I expected a little more powder, but I don't really mind. Like some reviewers mentioned, it's reminiscent of a shampoo or bubble bath. A good one though, one I would absolutely use. As a perfume, especially an expensive niche one, it's a little too light and simple for my taste. I own and love several of Keiko Mecheri's fragrances, but Peau de Peche is only a like for me. I would still recommend it to those who crave peach, but find most peaches too sweet and loud. It could be perfect in that case. Uncomplicated and pretty.

This is really pretty!! It’s a nice soft and clean peach, sweet and feminine but nice and light. This would be great for a tea party, it reminds me of a Monet painting. I generally like powdery gourmands but for a day in the office or when you want to just smell nice and pretty, this is a great choice. Honestly I would buy a FB just to have it. It’s not too sweet or sticky. It is definitely reminiscent of peach shampoo, it’s like the scent of a very slightly underripe peach—firm and maybe not ready to eat yet but still sweet, fresh, and soft. It’s not a showstopper love, but honestly it’s so perfect as a clean spring scent that I might put it as a love. It’s so perfect in what it does!!

The opening of Peau de Peche (on my skin) reminds me so much of this peach-scented playoh I had growing up. I don't remember if it was Play-Doh brand or something else, but it captures that sort of doughy/flour quality of playdoh with a distinctly peach smell. While it's texturally chewy in the sort of playdoh way, the doughiness almost feels like a pie crust, specifically a pate brisee crust (less sweet, more butter/flour), with peach play-doh filling. As it opens, the doughiness fades into the background and that sort of juicy, tart, shampoo fruitiness comes forward. Comforting, childlike and angelic. Not a peach that's going to move mountains, but a reliable every day peach.

This is a delightfully intimate, soft peach scent. Peau de Peche is not the scent of a juicy, yellow peach, fresh from the orchard. It's more the scent of a white peach, still slightly green and under-ripe. It is primarily about the scent of peach skin, not the fruit...the name "Peau de Peche" is fitting. This is nowhere near as juicy as something like Jo Malone’s Nectarine Blossom & Honey. It’s not exceedingly powdery, but there’s just a hint of powder to mimic the soft fuzziness of peach skin under your nose. My personal preference is for the juicy, sunny quality of Nectarine Blossom & Honey, but this is nonetheless a great scent for those seeking a gentle, understated peach.

A nude, freshly showered woman. An opened window, warm spring breeze hinting of flower buds and summer yet to bloom. Her skin is still warm, still damp. This isn't a sexual fragrance, or one to garner compliments from someone who isn't hugging you, but it is deeply sensual. The kind of skin scent one might wish occurred naturally, and almost seems to as it blends with one's own body chemistry on the drydown. This isn't the heavy base, unblended contouring and fierce eyebrows running around Instagram. This is the "no-makeup makeup" of perfume. The perfect signature scent for the woman who doesn't seem to wear perfume, but who just effortlessly smells good.

At first sniff I loved this and thought i would buy a full bottle. It was such a natural, comforting, mouthwatering scent, perfect for a spring morning. I continued to love getting whiffs of it on myself for the next couple of hours. That's where it went south :(. The rest of the day the powder notes got more and more pronounced on me and everything else faded away. By the end of the day only this bitter chalky powder smell was left. I could have resprayed to get that clean girl peach back, but by that point i was repulsed by the idea of smelling anything powdery ever again. I might wear it again sometime, but for me it's not full bottle worthy.

Their website says that it’s “Japanese white peach”, and that’s what it smells like to me, rather than the yellow/orange ripe peach scents that I’m used to in most other peach centered fragrances. Imaging walking into a minimalistic Japanese house with a bamboo wood table and a bowl of fresh, white Japanese peaches. That’s what this smells like. Freshly picked peaches, not ripe. So beautiful. Perfect for those who want to smell good in a natural way and not in a perfumy way. That being said, I wouldn’t buy it because it’s too much of a skin scent and I prefer stronger scents. I very much so like my sample vile though.

On my skin this opens as a can of Del Monte NO SUGAR ADDED sliced peaches packed in water. It's as sweet as the fruit actually is with no added sugar or artificial sweetener. That being said, it's still pretty sweet. LOL. Another case of me not wanting to smell like my food. It's a nice yummy peach. Just a tad of fuzzy musk in the drydown. Less offensively sweet than an over the top gourmand sugary-vanillic peach, but not my cup of tea. If you like fresh peach, you might enjoy this one. It's pretty and fresh, as peachy scents go.

Peau de Pêche smells like a white flat peach, slightly underripe, soft, and not particularly juicy. It’s a very delicate, restrained scent that sits close to the skin. At first, it briefly reminds me of a clean shampoo-like freshness, but that fades quickly, leaving behind a more muted, powdery woodiness. Overall, it’s very much a skin scent—intimate, understated, and almost elusive. Even with a generous spray, it remains quite faint. Not special enough or strong enough for me.

I was curious to try this candy sweet gourmand of Keiko Mecheri. My first sample was Loukum. This time I ordered Peau de Peche. First thoughts / pictures : very fresh, slightly lemony, sour and juicy scent of peach. Indeed, like many other reviews say it is not a ripe peach syrup, it is more a green fresh fruit. Longevity: (from a sample) about 1-2 hours. Dry down: sweetness and juiciness slowly go away, and a very light pleasant scent remains...

Marvelous peaches! I loved it from the first sniff, but there is something that went a bit wrong when the perfume started to develope. The thing that happened is that I start to get this powdery, oldschool feeling which reminds me a lot of old lipstick. And this is not what I'd like to smell on my wrist, but I can easily see this working on other skin, for me it's just not it. Will have to search for my peach craving somewhere else.

At first, hard to detect, and soapy. Like a wet wipe. Then, it settles into white tea and soap bubbles. I layered this with Passage d'Enfer to create a wood/lily/peach combo, and achieved some kind of wet grass smell, and I liked it much better. I feel like this works best for layering, but, if you want it to stand alone, you have to use a LOT to really smell it. Also to me it's more like peach candy, not fresh peach.

This reminds me of a less sweet, more subtle version of Jo Malone's Nectarine Blossom & Honey that's been warmed by woods. It's a demure, realistic, cheerful yet somehow calming scent. It is light on sillage, so those looking for a heavy hitter may move on. But beauty doesn't always come with a bang. I'm very impressed by this house - everything I've tried by Keiko Mecheri so far has been great.

A soft and fresh powdery Peach with a nice airy note of Orrisroot, Musk and woodsynotes. Longlived on my skin but not a big sillage - almost skinclose. Elegant and classy. Pure Lux. En mjuk och fräsch pudrigt Persika med en skönt luftig not av Orrisrot, Musk och tränoter. Långlivad på huden, men inte så kraftig i utstrålningen, mer en hudnära doft. Elegant och classy. Ren Lyx.

Clean well done peach, sublte powder and musk. Good quality ingredients. Wears clean. Wears close to skin, I got compliemnts, safe for everyday/work daytime wear. About 3-4 hours, faint whiffs after that. In comparison to Kelly Kaleche (minus leather) and Tresor (not as floral and more simple than Tresor) I think if you like these mentioned, this is your scent too.

This house makes very delicate and feminine fragrances ! This opens with a fresh almost green peach . The peach here is not syrupy or super sweet but more natural smelling . Then it gets a bit soapy but more like shampoo or body wash . It smell really nice but sits really close to the skin . I would like a full bottle but the longevity worries me .

this seems to me more like the flesh of a peach than the skin, and white rather than yellow. its naturally sweet, a little green and floral. definitely clean and shampooey, like you showered earlier and youre still catching whiffs of your damp, clean hair. i agree that its very gentle and delicately pretty.

Not peachy enough for me! This is another niche creation which smells like a 'Lush' product. It's nice, simple clean and ethereal with a slight fruitiness but no lusciousness, which is what I was looking for in a scent costing this much. Sillage and longevity were both pleasant, but limp.

Musky peach. Opening - delicious powdery peach. Dry down - light, warm, woody-musky and slightly peachy scent. You really have to be into musk fragrances to like this. This is very easy, comfortable fragrance. I like that it isn't sweet and cloying. Nice.

The best and most natural smelling skin scent ever. Lasts about a minute and has no sillage at all. Fundamentally very flawed composition and would love it if it anyone else but me could smell it. Nice for very intimate use and scorching heatwaves.

The peach here smells a lot like the peach in By Kilian Flower of Immortality, the two are pretty similar to my nose. The peach here is pretty realistic, not screechy, super-sweet, or shampoo-like. A nice powdery, creamy, fruity fragrance.

Simple, fresh peach! I can't believe what a beautiful peach this is. Like a fresh firm peach, not syrupy or artificial. The drydown is earthy and vaguely peachy, very close to the skin. The staying power is awesome.

A demure peach, floaty, powdery, comforting.Not a smack bang in your face peach quite linear but with great longevity. This scent I feel follows me around with a gentle cloud of musky, yet fresh peach, beautiful.

strong fruit and green/soapy tinge. after about an hour, it softened up a lot to a warm, fruity powderyness. Peau de Peche is pleasant and pretty, but i don't know if i like it enough to purchase it.

this is very powdery peach. it is nice but i think it leans towards the younger side a bit. i did like it and would wear it occasionally, but not as a signature scent.

Artificial peach scent — just like body wash. Definitely not fresh, natural, or realistic — it's full of synthetic fragrance, but I actually quite like it.

Beautiful skin scent with peachy accents. My only issue is it leans soapy at least on my skin, wish it was a bit more powdery/musky or bright/fresh
