And the story goes... ... Tempest attar is one of the most glorious creations by Kemi Blending Magic. The first stage is - hands down - the best, brightest, clearest, creamiest sunshine citrus I have found in the game so far. Photorealistic, polished by elemi, ginger and lavender. Really one of the most interesting openings ever, and I do not say this light-heartedly. Also, if you read some review by myself, you will know citrus is not exactly my thing. Draw your conclusions here... After this long opening, somewhat cerimonial, a greener rose/cedar note takes the stage, all filled in gurjan balsam. I do not know if there is real oud there in the base notes, but if it is the case, is one of the purest take on oud ever. Not animalic, medicinal, barnyard, blue cheese or other 'disturbing' notes, just a green, earthy, floral tone that perseverates for hours and hours. To me, the second phase never ends, in its glorious feast. Of course, this is a wonderful creation and such. To my pockets, it does not deserve a full bottle status, but if you are rich, go on, as it is one of the best artistic creation I have discovered lately on my fragrance journey. Tempest is an apt name, as it starts fresh to wire hot and seductiveness with an ambery sensation. The reference on Shakespeare is a classy touch. If you want to wander between stars, you will have to survive the storm before the clear nighttime sky could reveal its true magic... Enchanting!

Inspired by Willian Shakespeare’s most alchemy influenced work, “The Tempest” a play about magic, betrayal, love and forgiveness that has been subjected to varied interpretations—from those that see it as a fable of art and creation, with Prospero representing Shakespeare, and Prospero’s renunciation of magic signaling Shakespeare's farewell to the stage, to interpretations that consider it an allegory of Europeans colonizing foreign lands. Tempest Parfum “the fragrance” by Kemi Blending Magic is an olfactory tale, a storytelling formula of bewitching contrasts, The magical elixir unfolds on first blast with a citrus harmony that reads very Italian on the skin, gently kissed by ginger and dry lavender, A sweet floral cocoon carries the heart of Tempest, with noticeable jasmine and earthy shadows of patchouli, gifting the perfume with ethereal beauty and sensuality. But what frames the composition in a remarkable foundation is a dominant elemi resin that wraps the majestic oud in a veil of mysticism and charm, unifying old and contemporary, transitioning the fragrance from citrus and florals into golden resins, while still carrying a certain lemony aspect with translucent incensy nuances. Tempest is the kind of olfactory ride that truly undresses the soul as it defuses in the air.

A nice example of modern Oriental perfumery blending the old with new to create a fragrance that feels both timeless and new. Influenced by the work of alchemists and named aptly because it starts quite innocently and build up more and more strongly as the hours go by and it settles on the skin, the fragrance opens with citrusy spice notes of lemon, orange, bergamot, elemi and a nice ginger. As it moves to the middle woody floral notes emerge (cedar, cypriol, gurjun, jasmine, rose and cashmeran). It finally settles on a lovely powdery base of patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver, musk, amber and oud. Unisex with moderate to strong sillage and very good longevity. The perfume oil (my preference) has some natural settling and the scent is now available as a perfume. Enjoy!

Named after Shakespear's play, this blend is absolutely magistic as it was intended to be. The first act of magic occurred when i got hindi oud in the opening with lavender in the background. While oud and lavender hid in the background, saffron and rose were detected by my immature nose. Apart from these, i got very dark musk which remained till the end with dirty earthy patchouli. In the second act or shall i shall 2nd time i tried, i got bergamot that i missed first time altogether. Also, this time oud was not so prominent and i felt sweeter elements present more in the mids than the first time. Either it could just be me or this juice is actually magical.

Really amazing perfume. Starts with citrus, followed by rose and jasmine, all strengthened by a backbone of oud, sandalwood, resins, cashmeran and musk. Patchouli and lavender are poking in to give it some earthy smell, but never too loud or aggressive. The drydown after 12-18 hrs is shining through oud, resins and sandalwood. Very noticeable and pure. One of the best in the Kemi line. Fresh, floral, woody and a tad bit of musk. Really gorgeous

Definitely a wishlist fragrance. It’s a completely unisex fragrance IMO. Actually, to my nose it’s a cross between Amouage Epic Woman and Xerjoff’s More than Words. It’s a sharp woody fragrance without a skanky oud; easy to wear in that respect. It’s probably best suited for cooler wearing, that sharpness may become overbearing in the heat. It’s a beautiful composition and lasts an eternity on skin. A great one from the Kemi line.

To me, Tempest attar is a beast and my love with the brand. I'm totally hooked on this fragrance. if i had a rating on this i would give this an A+.

العطر هو من العطور التي يصدق اسمها على محتواها فهو بالفعل عاصفة شرقية قوية. وتقييمه ستحتاج لتعطر كامل لتفهمه وليس فقط من خلال تشمم نقطة على ظهر اليد. لأنه سيداعب من يتعطر به لفترة طويلة في محيطه خاصة مع التطورات المذهلة لنقلات العطر وهذا أمر قد لا تفي به عملية التشمم بواسطة ظهر اليد أو ورق التيستر "الذي لا أنصح به مطلقا مع العطور الزيتية". البداية قوية وأراها مختلفة عما كتب عنها فالثلاثي المذكور من الليمون الصقلي والبرتقال المر والبرجموت " والأكورد هنا لا يمكن أن يكون إلا للزيت المستخرج من قشور هذا الثلاثي الحمضي" فمصدر قوة الافتتاحية سببها هذه المرارة اللاذعة الرائعة القوية لقشور هذا الثلاثي والتي لا يمكن أن تنتجها نضارة وحمضية عصيرهم. مضافا لهذا الثلاثي عبق اللافندر الفرنسي المعتق الثقيل الذي لم أجده أو مثيلا له إلا في عطر واحد عاصف هو "موشوا دو مسيو من جيرلان" ويأتي دور زيت الحبوب الصغيرة " Petitgrain"المستخرج من الأوراق والأغصان الخضراء من شجرة البرتقال المر، ليضفي حياة ورونقا جميلا لهذه البداية العاصفة. لحظات قليلة حتى يندفع هذا الثنائي العاصف حيث لن تجد أبدا راتينج إيميلي الذي تشبه رائحته رائحة الفلفل الحار بهذه القوة والنقاء. والعبقرية هنا في اختيار الزنجبيل الحار بكثافة نسبية لمجاورة راتينج إيميلي لتصبح البداية عاصفة حقيقية تنبض بالقوة والحياة ملحوظة: الافتتاحية وحدها كان من الممكن أن تكون عطرا خطيا مكتمل الأركان بل ويفضل عشرات العطور المميزة. قلب العطر من (أخشاب الأرز – الأخشاب الكشميرية – نبات السعدة القريب الرائحة من نبات البردى – الياسمين – الورود) فقط بلسم وراتينج غورجون "Gurjun" برائحته الطازجة الخشبية الحارة، الدافئة اللطيفة الحلوة، هو الذي يستحق أن تكون له وقفة نظرا لما له من لمحات من رائحة الصنوبر والباتشولي والكافور، والتي تساعد على الاسترخاء، لأن تيمبيست بالفعل يحدث لمن يستخدمه هذا التأثير من الاسترخاء الذي يصل لدرجة السكينة. القاعدة أيضا قوية، ولا يمكن أن تتوقع مع عطر بهذه التوليفة أن يغيب عنه العود بكثافة كبيرة، ولربما كان العود المستخدم هو قطرات من اللاوسي اللاذع الملائم للتوليفة الحارة اللاذعة. (العنبر والمسك والباتشولي وأخشاب الصندل والفيتيفير) هي مكملات متوقعة ومتجانسة لتكمل هذه التوليفة الشرقية الحسية للغاية. النقاء والثبات والفوحان والجمال شيء مذهل بعيدا عن التقييم الرقمي. بقيت نقطة واحدة، ألا وهي التجانس التام لتيمبيست مع عطر حياة من نفس الدار.

Tempest is inspired by and dedicated to William Shakespeare's romantic comedy "Tempest". Well...the scent is nearly tempest as well: Rich intense overpowering beginning of Woods, Balsams and Resins impresses with power and make your head almost spin. Time is an excellent ally to the composition as it, time, goes the fragrance dramatically change and become more and more omnipotent. In approximately 2-3 hours mysterious Oud, Labdanum and Amber appear more obviously and charm and bespell its wearer. Clear pure, somewhere sharpened Woods remain radiating "elixir of life", invigorate and inspire. Sillage: 8/10,Longevity: 10/10, Projection: 9/10

Huh my skin chemistry must be different, from the first blast this smells like saliva and then settles into pretty punchy civet (on top of elemi and some other notes, of course). I can see how interplay of some listed notes may end up resembling civet but doesn't matter, poop is poop. Also it should be noted that this is purely synthetic scent. After an hour or so you are left with a designer male perfume, not even a niche like Creed. It is sooo not worth the price.

This is very nice, though definitely masculine-leaning (cedar, citruses, lavender, vetiver, etc...) compared to Elixir, which I also tested and fell 100% in love with. Tempest definitely has more of that sharp, bitter quality to it typical of the notes above, so I personally might not gravitate toward this one, but the name intrigued me, and of course, the quality is amazing, as with all fragrances from this house.
