Kenneth Cole For Her

A lovely member of the Fragrantica community recommended Kenneth Cole for Her (based on my love of Glow). I bought it as a blind buy and really like it. It has a soft, lux, soapy quality. I feel squeaky clean wearing it. On my skin it has great longevity, but quite low projection, however I get delightful little wafts of it throughout the day. I would definitely agree that this smells much like Glow - I was on the look-out for a more refined, non-celebrity version, and this is it. It is slightly more subtle in my opinion, and sits closer to my skin. This isn’t an exciting or bold fragrance (if that’s what you’re into). It is however a nice, clean fragrance that I’m so happy to have a full bottle of for everyday wear. It suits my tastes perfectly and I will wear it often.

I LOVE this perfume sooo much. It smells exactly like JLO Glow but better. There is something in it I love. It captures the nivea (blue bottle) lotion so well. I just want to bury my nose into this scent (after it has settled on the skin). The initial scent can be rough on the throat but its all worth it for what follows...for hours.

At first spray I can see the similarity to JLo. But then after around half an hour (maybe less?) magic happens. What a beautiful soft, delicate cosy scent. Powdery but that sharpness that accompanies the first spray dies down into a lightly musky floral hug. Love it!

It smells a lot like J.Lo Glow, so it's impossible not to love it. I feel like it's a bit softer, both in the opening and in the drydown. Very soapy, creamy, lovely. Great if you're a soap lover (and i am!). I think i like this better than Glow (oops).

Similar to Glow but I like this one SO much more! Try layering with Paul Sebastian, Casual. It's perfect!!!

I didn't know of this perfume's existence, but got sent a sample. At first sniff I knew it smelt like something. That something was J.Lo's Glow of over a decade and a half ago. Back in the day of my early teens, Glow was my go to fragrance. But I've moved on and am surprised that this kind of generic, musky yet clean fragrance has made a re-appearance. The nose behind this fragrance, Nicole Mancini describes the woman who wears this perfume as "traditional with an edge". I can't say I agree. There isn't anything particularly edgy about Kenneth Cole for Her - it's a standard musk, sandalwood and flowers. This doesn't make it unpleasant. Where Glow is cloying and very synthetic, KC for Her is more subtle. A few sprays leave you feeling fresh and ready to begin your day. Initially I was disappointed as the smell seemed to dissipate from my skin within the first hour. Fast forward to a good 6 hours later: I began to get a delicate whiff of all the good parts of this perfume - light sandalwood and jasmine. This was a surprise and left me low key impressed. While I will definitely not be purchasing this perfume, I'm happy to stick it out with my sample for a few months. Generic, easy, fresh. You won't get complaints.

I love JLo Glow and have several bottles of it, so in all honesty I probably don’t need this one... but I’m glad I went for it. It is pretty much a sister fragrance, yes. A soapy clean floral with Nivea lotion vibes. On my skin the LOV is amped up and the musk dialled down compared to Glow. The sillage and longevity are on a par with Glow. Maybe Glow lasts a touch longer. Lovely, quality packaging and solid bottle. I got this very cheaply (as cheap as Glow), so it’s a win for me.

This reminds me a lot of Elizabeth Arden's Splendor. I checked the notes, and sure enough, peony and citrus at the top, jasmine and LOTV in the middle, musks at the base. If you have one, you don't need the other. I love the bottle. This is a more simple and mellow version of Splendor if you are looking for something fresh and subdued. I like it!

Really pretty straight-up lily-of-the-valley scent. Simple, not too sweet, floral but not heady. Just pretty. Okay, except for one little side note. There's something about LOTV that kinda turns into cat pee just for a moment off and on. Does anyone else find this? Is it a particular synthetic being used in there? No idea.

Suuuper similar to JLo glow. I just got JLo glow in the mail today (bought it blind after going through a sample of this). Glow has a Nivea accord peaking through the early dry down, and is all together slightly softer than Kenneth Cole for Her. But other than those two points, they are identical.

Definitely gives “old bar of soap”. There’s a synthetic rose smell in there. Slightly spicy. It’s kind of a vibe! I’m 99% sure it’s not full bottle worthy, but I’ve been having fun with my sample.

This smells like jlo glow but better. It last longer and smells more expensive. I wear it to work and get compliments. It isn't edgy tho it smells like dove soap.

I think it's pretty under rated hot summer day sunscreen vibes. Clean fresh slightly powdery. Love it!

Nice! Picked it up at TJ Maxx for 25.00. Kind of an old school floral.

Gives Diorissimo vibes (not a dupe)

This is a soapy floral. More soapy in the opening, and more floral in the dry-down. There's something that feels vintage about this fragrance. I wouldn't call this powdery, although it has those facets. I usually like powdery frags, but not this. The notes can be misleading for this one. Imo, this is for those who enjoy clean, soapy florals.

I like the way JLo Glow smells but never had an urge to purchase it. From what I remember (15+ years ago) it was fresh, lightly sweet and musky-really nice. I am totally confused about the comparison to Glow. To me (a fresh, floral gal) Kenneth Cole Her has NO dna from Glow. It does have some similarities to Gap's "Heaven," but I liked and owned Heaven in '95 and I DO NOT like Kenneth Cole. I just finished testing on my arm and would not test this one again. Nothing draws me to it. If this was a let down for you and maybe you enjoyed some aspect of it, test Shania Twain's Starlight. I own that one and though I don't wear it outside OR at home much, it is a comforting scent and recommend it as a bedtime fragrance. My bottle was purchased about 7-8 years ago. $11 for a 1.7 oz is a GREAT price when you can't find a sample of it anywhere. This is the only time I do blind-buys.

The best thing about Kenneth Cole’s ‘For Her’ fragrance is the heavyweight glass bottle. It’s a quality niche bottle containing a weak toilet spray air freshener. A generous spray initially leaves a plasticy looking hairspray-like sheen against the skin. The scent is so weak, I feel like I’m testing a harmless children’s fragrance that came free with a doll. I wanted a clean detergent type scent with punch, but I got a distant smell of soap suds against plates. There’s also the faintest vanilla there, it’s not listed but it’s enough to make me use my 100ml bottle for breaking windows or simply as a paper weight.

Kenneth Cole For Her by Kenneth Cole is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. Top notes are lemon, carrot seeds and pink peony; Middle notes are jasmine, cyclamen, violet and lily-of-the-valley; Base notes are sandalwood, heliotrope, ambrette Smell like Quina moon flavor Skin tonic in Thailand Has sell...It's very similar!

Old-fashioned and musky. I'll pass.
