So Pretty

I took a chance on this blind buy, since I found the 1.7oz bottle of EDP for $4 BNIB. I had never heard of this brand before I found it, and I'm glad I decided to get it. I'm going back tomorrow to scoop up the other Kensie scent they had, because this stuff just smells that nice! I'm definitely not a kid anymore, but this middle aged chick thinks Kensie So Pretty is wonderful! It's sweet, but not a sugary sweet, headache-inducing type of bottled nightmare. No, this is sweet, like laying on your back in a field full of sweet clover, fat bumblebees buzzing lazily past, their legs coated with pollen as they defy gravity on their way to the next fluffy, white bloom bobbing and waving her head in the warm breeze. This is sweet, like driving along a deserted country road at night, windows rolled down, "Stand By Me" on the stereo while miles of quiet fields full of sweet alfalfa slip past, a summer storm gathering in the distance. I smell sunflowers, and a softness, but it's an elevated sort. I disagree with other reviews online who felt this can only be carried off by (or attractive to) school girls. Something about this reminds me of Tatiana, but I can't quite put my finger on it yet. It's not a dupe; just something about it brings my old Diane von Fustenburg love to mind. This is what I'd wear for an early evening movie, or a massage appointment. It's light, and non-aggressive, but it's sweet and makes me want to nuzzle my face into it to get another sniff. I'm 15 minutes into this test and it almost smells like lily of the valley or something similar in the floral profile. Somehow, there is a freshness behind the floral sweetness and it's just delicious. I think this would be a very safe selection for wearing to work.

Ultra-Light CARAMEL APPLE. I agree with many reviewers below, that this is a floral fruity gourmand. Having said that, the performance is ultra-light and requires several months of dark storage after first sprays to develop the true scent and performance. I've stored mine for six months, and the juice now looks like aged vanilla. The notes aren't wrong, per se, just missing something gourmand. There's also a pleasant doll's head vanilla note. This would be a perfect vanilla in hot, humid weather, or as a gift for a teen. It's super hot outside right now, so it's a love for me. Enjoy! Update 06/01/24: After storing for awhile longer, this has gotten a lot stronger. I'm getting something in the family of apple scents like Nina Nina Ricci although this isn't an exact dupe.

I got this in an ipsy pack and had to buy the full size bottle. This is a very sweet and flirty scent - it is just JUICY! I only wish it has more longevity and sillage and it would probably be my signature scent because I find the scent to be adorable. It is definitely a younger smelling perfume but personally I love it.

I got this in my Ipay bag and omg it is so pretty-yes a pun I know I’m cheesy! But this is absolutely beautiful! It’s like a mix of Ariana Grande SWeet like Candy (I think that’s what it is called) with some fruity juice in it. It reminds me of an Escada fragrance. I am very excited to buy a big big bottle of this!!!

Smells just like Charlotte Russe Refuge, just a little more grown up. I have both. It's a delight and takes me back to when I was a high school girl at the mall with my friends. A true nostalgic delight slightly twisted with the sandalwood note. Love it.

If you look for bright happy 90's nostalgia, you have found your mothership. "So Pretty" is a VERY sweet gourmand fragrance. Not my favorite of their line, but I get praline and vanilla, with hints of fruit but I can't seem to decide what ones. This brand seems to love making fruity florals with a 90's throwback era, youth-filled spin. They are extremely joyful. They have notes that remind me of The Body Shop's classic fruity vintages from that timeframe. Lasting power only when sprayed on fabric. ( If you're looking for dark , brooding, complex, conflicted fragrances, this is not the brand for it. ) There are a few Kensie fragrances missing from this database and I thought I'd mention a couple I absolutely love: Rosy Bloom, a crowd pleasing fruit floral that has a happy rose peony citrus blended masterfully with sweet red purple and blue berry notes that remind me of Minit Maid fruit punch. (All the people in my family love it, which is next to impossible.) It must have come out after 2020, along with the rest of their 4 part "Sunkissed Beauty" fragrance line : Darling Daydream, Sunkissed Beauty, and Vibrant. Buttercup Babe, is another no-show in the Fragrantica database that I think is worth a mention. It's a fast favorite of mine with a citrus aquatic leaf opening, bright floral middle, and fresh light drydown. Doesn't last longer than an hour or two, which is fine because it's a chance to spritz up those top notes again, and is unlikely to offend anyone if you work with lots of people. Some side mentions are "Watermelon Punch" (a watermelon lemonade scent not listed on their website), and "Pink Blossom" (a sweet berry drink scent replica), which are exceedingly sweet. Like "Preteen girl" fragrance sweet. Like candy. Also : the Kensie website listed is incorrect on the main Kensie page here on Fragrantica.

I get this one, I do. At first smell you think there's some kind of vanilla in there, but you think harder and its just a very yummy blend of fruits and florals. I think the name suits this one — it's pretty. For me, it reminds me of a that quintessential popular girl in school who is actually widely liked by everyone. She's not the "bitchy" kind of popular. It just reminds me of a pretty, kind, very organized and put together 16 year old girl. Not a bad thing at all! But I do think it's quite young. If you're any older than 20, you'll probably find it to be too young, though I think it could still suit anyone as old as 25. I'm 21, and for me it's personally just a little too juvenile for me, but I absolutely respect it and still like it. I might just hand it over to my younger sister or younger cousin, and if they don't want it i'll definitely manage to get some use out of it until it's gone, but it's certainly no repurchase. Since I got this for $10 at TJ Maxx as a blind buy, I'm certainly not mad at it!

Funnily enough, I'm not getting the candy-caramel notes people are talking about at all. It's sweet, yes, but not sugary. Feels very much like a 2011 Hollister commercial (in a pleasant way) — tangerines, morning dew, non-descript hallway flowers, so perfect it's inoffensive. Very youthful, Sunday school, glitter gel pen-core. A very polite cloud of soft coral. A sensible girl in a pair of low-rise jeans, her long hair worn in a single braid. Call me crazy but I think scents like these will have a bit of a renaissance whenever we get oversaturated with the fringe stuff. Some people — most people, really — like smelling sweet, balmy, mild. Can't be helped. There are certainly worse "subtle" scents people could be dousing their bodies in. So pretty, indeed.

Its a really cute perfume, a bit cheap smelling,I think this would be better geared towards a late teen,sort of reminds me of bath and body works. Got this in a travel size from my ipsy subscription and while I do like it and will use it up, I wouldn't purchase it just because I like smelling sweet yet expensive. Upon first spray I get sweet florals with a hint of citrus, very much a summer scent.The projection is weak however after spraying it after 10 minutes I have to put my nose right up to my wrist to smell but the smell stays for around 5 hours. This is Britney Spears Fantasy's older sister. There's no cotton candy or cupcake, but it's got that same cushiony sweetness that's indulgent . . . maybe a tad immature . . . but you can't help but like it anyway. I'm surprised there's no vanilla or gourmand notes in this, because it smells like it would have them. Overall, this was a surprisingly nice scent--nothing weird or offensive or unusual--and I think it would be especially appropriate for cooler weather.

The scent is sweet yet comforting, with notes of floral, apple, musk, sandalwood, and a hint of greenness. While it carries a youthful charm, i think all ages can enjoy this fragrance. Alhough I think it smells nice it's just not something I reach for. I've passed it on to my teenage daughter, who wears it but favors fresher scents or even some colognes. She's fond of Oxford Bleu English Laundry, noting there is a slight resemblance to this fragrance.

The notes listed don't seem accurate to me. It opens smelling like hairspray (alcohol, vague fruity-floralness) and dries down to cotton candy. I got the travel size in an Ipsy bag and I wouldn't buy myself a bottle, but I'll probably use up the one I have. I use it like a body spray; e.g. for sports practices or doing chores around the house when I don't want to use something more expensive. Could be a nice first fragrance for a young girl.

The 100ml is showing up at Shoppers on the $20 shelf right now. It's fruity and candy-sweet, though in a synthetic way. It lasts a long time. I could still smell it in the morning. It's not the same notes as Fantasy by Britney Spears but it works just like it. Sweet, synthetic, on the juvenile side but for a casual, throw something on kind of fragrance, it's going to work perfectly. If you like Fantasy, go ahead and blind buy this one.

It’s fruity and sweet and slightly vanilla to me. But it’s sooo light! I think you’d need a good 10 sprays to even smell it. If it was stronger I’d love it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice scent. It’s just very weak. I got it for $20 at SDM in Canada so I can’t complain too much. Might be better for a younger person who doesn’t care much about fragrances lasting power or projection.

Got this from subscription makeup service a while back. Tossed it in my travel bag. Paired with BBW whipped coconut milkshake (body wash, lotion & spray) I received a few compliments. I think it's very sweet on its own, but I enjoy the fruitiness of it. especially for a hot summer day. it's juicy & fresh & could be good for layering. Doesn't last long tho.

So I was given this for free, the name is very fitting but I wouldn't have bought it myself. It's delicate and lovely and the first smell brings a smile, it's an elevated version of the classic bath and bodyworks type of sent. Which is also the downfall. For me, it's just over the edge of too sweet and just isn't what I feel like portraying right now.

Tried it through IPSY and ended up liking it so much I bought the full size. It's not my favorite, but definitely in my top 10. It's sweet and young, but not childish. Great in the daytime. Lasts all day and well into the evening. Good value for money on this one.

I blind bought this one at SDM for 20$ about one or two weeks ago. It is sweet and fruity, can't really distinguish the fruits. Definitively for the younger crowd, teenagers or a woman in her young 20s. I did feel pretty wearing it though, so I get the name.

This EDP reminds me of vanilla and brown sugar. It goes on that way and stays that way on me. It reminds me of fresh baked cookies. Maybe this is my new Christmas holiday fragrance. Also purchased for $20 at SDM as a blind buy.

This reminds me of high school (not in a bad way) - something familiar, sweet, and nostalgic. It smells like when you hug someone and you get a whiff of their perfume. I'm getting very sugary and vanilla-y.

i really liked how this smelled initially, but it's probably the weakest scent I've ever owned- you have to put your nose to your wrist to smell anything and within 30 minutes-1 hour it's completely gone

This perfume is very light and sweet. It kinda reminds me of cloud by Ariana grande (I'm picking up a vanilla scent.) I usually will wear it during the day and layer with a vanilla moisturizer.

Pretty sweet, I pick up a lot of apple, vanilla, and floral. Definitely a sandalwood fragrance- somewhat comparable to Red Panda by Sanctuary. Springtime easter scent. Cute.

It smells really lovely but it doesn't last AT ALL. It's gone pretty much within 30-60 minutes which is a bummer since it smells so nice.

Very much a cotton candy sweet smell. Absolutely "pretty", just as the name would suggest, but nothing more. Great for bedtime.

Apple, Tangerine, a little bit of floral and green notes. Very light and fresh. I’m very happy with this scent.

I would say that anyone over the age of 20 shouldn't reach for this. It's a perfume best fit for a preteen, with its extreme sweetness and youthful scent. To be honest, I'm quite indifferent to this perfume. It reminds me of some celebrity perfumes I have smelled in the past and feels like more of a body mist, rather than a perfume. There is a body mist version of this, which I haven't tried, and don't intend on trying. Definitely feels like an early 2010s scent and something you should consider getting for the younger people in your life.

So I just recently tested this one. It’s actually very pleasant. Out right you can smell the intense orange/tangerine scent then a softer floral afterwards . It very noticeable but doesn’t last long at all. Within minutes the scent was gone. Basically as it dried down it slowly disappeared. I’d say yes to this if it lasted longer besides this is was a really good perfume.

This is just blah but it’s nothing offensive or off-putting. It is a scent for a pre-teen or a young teenager. It’s sweet, fun and easy going. It’s floral/fruity and a perfect scent to layer as well, just to give a “lift” to whatever else you might be wearing. Got this one for less than $10 so it wasn’t a huge investment...

Sweet fruity floral. If you like a lot of Bath and Body Works, you will like this. For me it isn’t my thing. I don’t hate wearing it, it is pretty, but not my style and I would rather wear other scents. Passing this on to a friend.

Super sugary. Non offensive, but not my favorite. Middle schooler cotton candy body spray vibes for sure.

on first spray it smells so much like those scented strawberry shortcake dolls (if you know you know) which is just super sweet and a synthetic fruity/strawberry smell. Once it dries down the fruitiness/sweetness dies down a bit and it just smells like a typical bath & bodyworks scent, that soapy sandalwood smell. To me, it's a bit nauseating, but in general it's just very generic and a bit immature.

This is the kind of fragrance your daughter can wear to Sunday school or Walmart. It's cheerful, sweet, pleasant, sexless, forgettable. It's harmless, nice, anonymous. If this were the only perfume left on earth, I'd wear it. But otherwise, I prefer perfumes that are far more complex, that have identity.

It's very fruity and punchy, almost sickening for me. While it's on your face as soon as you spray it, it disappears rather quickly. It's very young and loud but it's also nothing new. Kind of Britney Spears inspired, if that makes sense? Fun and sweet but that's it.

Reminds me of a blueberry sunscreen I would wear as a child. I like it :). My husband seems to like it too. He said I smell good, like a nice lotion.
