Coeur Azuki

I admit that I bought this secretly hoping it would smell like azuki/anko well it doesn’t at all to me. I would describe it as ‘Turkish delight-ish’, an elegant and slightly sweet blackcurrant floral perfume. Unfortunately it is a skin scent but a pleasant one nonetheless.

I find it more flowery than fruity actually. Maybe rose ? I didn't like the opening actually. At fist I just thought like a vintage flowery fragrance and I was very disappointed. But the dry down is worth it : soft, fruity and somewhat savory. In a very subtle way. I don't find it gourmand at all though. I can't smell the rice note. Now I got used to the very flowery opening and it is okay. I would call it a spring/summer lovely scent.

This one smells to me very similar to Very Good Girl and Rose of no man’s land at the same time. I definitely get a rose with vanilla, something musky, too, and some berry-like sourness. I am surprised that the rose is so prominent to my nose and it is not even listed there. Apparently I am getting it from a combo of other notes. Maybe it is less sparkling than musky rose fragrances with lychee but this one somehow leans towards them.

An airy, sweet, inoffensive fragrance. I bought it in the airport while coming back from holidays in Greece. It just instantly transported me to my childhood - it reminded me of my best friend and it brought back all the feelings and memories of a long gone past. It’s fascinating how a scent can ravage your soul...It’s definitely sweet, yet fresh and clean, but not detergent clean, it feels more like a luxury spa kinda of scent.

Agreed that it reminds of mochi cakes. You may want to try it if you're usually not into gourmands. I am normally turned off by them, but this one is an exception. This is not cloying or heavy and I don't feel like I just robbed a whole confectioner's after spraying it. Very light, kinda understated scent. I love occasionally smelling it on myself during the day.

Personnally, it doesn't remind me of azuki beans nor mochi, I smell rose syrup with vanilla. Nonetheless, it definitely has a pastry quality : salty notes that highlight the sweetness and a softness, almost like powder but not quite. This has the same vibe as Poudre Matcha (also from the Kenzo Memori collection), but it's sweeter and less powdery.

I usually don't fall for this type at all, but Cœur Azuki is very charming. It's fun, playful, vibrant, young, even juvenile, but also remains very subtle. Reminds me of gummies with a slight powder on top, the ones that just been opened and aren't too fresh. Of mochis too! Lovely and unique.

oh i really like this one! it's a slightly sweetened milky rice fragrance; i can't say i get any blackcurrant or red bean, but the rice/mochi is definitely there. not starchy like nuit tatami at all, i think this reminds me of a warmer version of arielle shoshana's sunday and that rice note!

This definitely smells like berry mochis. Sweet and fruity with a subtle tang. It's also light and feminine.

Fragrance a little too sweet and fruity for my taste - but HAPPILY for once, without being too synthetic! Nice but not exceptional. The rice note is almost non-existent for me... the longevity is there! Unisex? Not at all! I can't imagine it being worn by a man... The dry-down is very pleasant, and becomes less sweet and much more cocooning. 7.5/10

Taking into account how powdery and creamy the Memoir collection is, and the listed rice note, I feel this perfume is sharper than expected. Don't get me wrong, this perfume is quite nice. But the I was expecting something with that unique powder note that brings rice and I got almost only black currant, with that sharp and almost citrusy scent. It is pretty, tho. It is sweet but have some savory vibe that makes it not vanilla or tonka sweet, but as most gourmands, but a more realistic sweet. If you are looking for cozy rice note, go for Tatami Nuit. As all the perfumes of Memoir collection, sillage and longevity are not great.

Coeur Azuki is just an instant love for me. We have tiny assorted Turkish delights in Türkiye called ‘kuş lokumu’ and they are not as sweet as the regular ones but fruity and so flavorful and this fragrance reminded me those mouthwatering sweet treats. My childhood was full of tiny Turkish delights so the moment i’ve sprayed on my skin it transported me to my innocent, carefree childhood days. Luckily i’ve found the key to my old sweet memories and it’s pretty satisfying for my appetite as well, always enjoy to wear it🎈

This is an elegant, sophisticated and subtle, simplistic soft sweet scent. It's definitely a skin scent, though. Ageless feminine leaning unisex. Like Nagchampesque described below, it has that Turkish delight-like powdery, natural sweet smell. I would say perhaps mochi, since it's inspired by Japanese heritage. An elegant simple gourmand to my nose. I do get a lot of rice and vanilla in the dry down. It's quite lovely.

This is nice. The opening smells like a warm pudim and then it turns into a mildly sweet floral scent. Feminine and comforting. A good scent to wear around children. Reminded me of the cherry blossom scents from L’Occitane en Provence.
