Flower by Kenzo Eau de Lumière

Kenzo eau de lumiere sneakingly creeped it's way into my fragrance collection when I stumbled across it during the holidays. This perfume has quickly reached my top 5. Blooming with radiance, this perfume is perfect for spring and summer. I personally use fragrances all year around. However, if I really like a fragrance I just limit or increase the amount of perfume spritzed according to season. Flower eau de lumiere illuminates with sensuality and elegance. With notes of jasmine, bergamot, peach, white musk, and Bulgarian rose, this fragrance is ultra feminine and sure to grab you lots of compliments. If you enjoy the original flower fragrance, imagine it but with a touch of light liquid gold that illuminates and has you shining. I like kenzo, but I LOVE eau de lumiere. You can tell the two belong to the same family group, but they smell completely different. This fragrance has gotten compliments any time I have had it on and if you would like a new lovely fragrance that has amazing longevity and silage, but isn't totally out there I recommend this! x ❥❥

Review is for my own reference - I actually like this floral! I think this would make a really nice relaxing bubble bath for a daytime bath. It smells like grammy's bath cube salts but in a nice way. I wouldn't buy this, but I might keep if gifted. But again I'd use it as a bubble bath. Smells like a clean, fancy, yet humble older woman :) Deifinelty a daytime scent. It seems like the silage might be an arms-length or bigger. and so far it seems like it would last long. A pleasant floral, I keep smelling my wrist :) The powdery note is noticeable, kind of reminds me of scented carpet soda or a foot powder, but in a nice way. Edit: as this dries down I am liking it more, it's becoming sweeter. It reminds me of how Sears used to smell. Def keeping my sample of this! It doesn't last as long as I would like it to :( Flower and Flower Eau de Lumière Kenzo do NOT smell similar!

A lovely fresh citrusy white floral with a musky dry down,this warms up on the skin beautifully, but the masterpiece in this is the Jasmine. It is soft but heady,and this is true Jasmine, it has real body,and when you smell it in the air,it has a wonderful sillage. The rose is there,but is not prominent,it is the bergamot,Jasmine and white musk that creates this exquisite fragrance. This is perfect for day or evening wear, office,or a party, I love the white musk in this that Adds sensuality....superb!!

Although Kenzo Lumiere is EDT , it has a beast projection and it lasts a whole day on me. For me it is quite similar to LˇAbsolue, however, Lumiere is fruity and flowery. I could not depict these notes in L ́Absolue. Lumiere has also got musk, but it is softer than in l ́absolue and it is mixed with flowers and fruit notes. I loved them both and I could not decide, which is better. They are both much the same and yet much different.

Smells like a spring day, dipping your head in a bouquet of flowers. Or going out into nature in full bloom. Never knew violets could smell so heavenly! Even though its an EDT its a rich and strong smell, but I'm so glad it's not nauseating, just pure flowers. The very first perfume I bought for myself ❤️

Ad is right. This subtle, defenseless, fragile and fragrant crystal flower has the power to color grey rising skyscrapers, and leaden skies in my city now, so even by just opening the cap. The state of grace is a parallel world and I live it in this rainbow with 'Eau de Lumière'.

FLOWER lumiere I like the Is better than FLOWER and the others that smell like FLOWER Sparkly Warm sweet aquatic fruit, like pear or a mellow fruit Floral Deeper notes that I can detect but cannot name. Well done for an EDT!

just got this today and another winner from the kenzo flower line :) im a huge flower fan :) its one of my signature scents :) and this one is lighter than the original but still smells beautiful :) a light floral......

Characteristics -Very Smooth, very well blended and beautiful -Not overwhelming even you splash it all over the body -Sillage is in your own range, longevity is 6-8 hrs but after 6 hrs it becomes very light musky-powdery smell left and nothing mimic sunlight anymore Scene -Smell like someone place a bouquet of flower on the table next to tall large window, and then when sun rise, the lumière break through the window into the room, splash on the bouquet and thus, light warm smell start to showing out -“Smell like the fresh flower vaporate under sunlight” -Not green, mostly floral and warm Suitable -Any age women -Day time -Best In Autumn -Any occasion even on date day -Best suitable when you walk in the garden in early evening time before sunset, sky starts to be orange -When watching sunset with your lover -Because the hint of sunlight, I also like to wear it in the day that I wanna feel there is still some hope, light at the end of dark tunnel -To give encouragement Conclusion -I know there is no sunlight note in the pyramid, but really they work a good job mixing all the notes out there to mimic sunlight, and I do feel it real -I love it

To me, Flower smells like violets on a rainy Summer day, and Flower Eau de Lumière is violets on a sunny day. Because past the first 30 minutes dominated by bergamot and quite close to J'Adore EdT, Eau de Lumière turns almost exactly like original Flower on my skin. A bit more citrus, and quite a bit more musky, but a couple of hours after spraying, I can barely tell the difference. Its longevity is clearly superior to the original though. It stays all day long. I also like the stronger musky notes, but I'm a fan of musky floral fragrances. A lovely relaxing version of Flower.

Beautiful. To me it’s like they found and bottled one single beautiful smell rather than multiple scents, chemicals, and ingredients. Like this smell in its complete form was gifted to the brand from on high. It’s very well blended and I have no desire to prise from it the individual notes. I had no idea what was listed when I first smelled this but I immediately got the impression of mimosa. I could hazard a guess that it’s the ylang ylang and heliotrope, but I won’t. In my mind, I’m in mimosa heaven and there I will stay.

fresh and clean. i can describe this one as jasmine-peach with a powdery violet base. I think because of the peach and violets, i feel this is leaning sweetish. this is not like the original Flower at all, even though it does share the powder base. On me, it blooms more when sprayed on skin vs on clothes. The sweetness-acidic nature of peaches is slightly more prominent too on skin.

This one is a very unique...well...there is original Kenzo flowed DNA in it, but not a lot and you can detect Kenzo flower but little hints of it. You can actually say it will be more Givenchy Amarige family member rather than Kenzo Flower. Overall this is nice, pleasant well balanced scent creation. Juts prefect for warm sunny spring days.

Very interesting smelling scent, the floral notes and some spicy note are the most dominant notes. A bit too strong for me at first, but it settles down really well. I sense a soapy scent and it's very good, quite suitable for this perfume. It's similar to other fragrances from that line, but I don't mind, it's nice anyway.

The crisp white shirt version of Flower L'Elixir. Where L'Elixir is sweet and abundant, Eau de Lumiere is dry and restrained, but there's an overlap in their DNA. Very good as far as musky florals go, tart without being annoyingly sharp. I like it better than the original Flower.

I like the combination of violet and peach. This is light, easy to wear, suitable for summer and daytime wear. Perfect for people who like soft and floral scents but want to stay away from overwhelming or rosy scents.

Refreshing, nice citrus & rose scent, a bit sparkling and very gentle. Perfect office fragrance, I would say. It's fresh, rosy and subtle musky. However, some warmness of its base is not my cup of tea.

Absolutely beautiful, fresh and innocent. Perfect for spring, smells clean and reminds me of cotton. It would match perfectly silk white dress. Lots of clean musk and fresh bergamot, not a sharp one.

this opens with a very strong violet with musk. it smells like violet candies. i think the currant is adding a hint of greenness here as well. it's a springtime floral. heliotrope comes in about 5 minutes in, softening things up a bit and adding a bit of a powdery element (but nowhere near as powdery as i remember the original to be.) the violet remains quite strong on me...while i like it, i wish the violet was more toned down as i think my skin is really amping it up.

Quite different from The original flowers which I by The way ADORE. This one also has The powder but also a peachy smell. The compostion in This one is very balanced and wellajusted. Nice, fresh, clean, soft and feminine. The scent is inoffensive and pleasant. Longevity and silage is average on me.

So, I'm originally a big fan of Kenzo Flower EDP. I'd gotten low on the bottle I had, hadn't sprayed it in months, so I gave it to my cousin who had been begging for it for forever. Thought I'd try a different variation, and this is very pretty. Problem for me is, it's too floral. I like a bit more warm / powdery scent. Once it dried down for nearly 24hrs on my business card, I like it, but I don't want to wait forever to like a scent on my skin. I have a full 1.7 oz bottle up for trade if anyone's interested, I'll stick with my regular Flower.

Opening is beautiful, sweet, fresh flowery fragrance, bergamot gives a special vibe. I almost bought it immediately, but decided to wait. And it was a good decision, unfortunately it quickly turned to a musk bomb on me. Not really nice, a bit masculine and couldn’t stand it really. I was very sorry about it as the opening was gorgeous. I strongly recommend to try it first and wait. Don’t blind buy it (unless you are a musk fan).

I first smelled this at an airport- fell in love and bought it. However when I hit 2 months with this perfume, it started to grow very nausea and headache-inducing on me. It's a very heavy perfume, floral and almost fruity at first but then dries down to this weird musky clean scent. I now dread wearing this perfume and passed it onto my mom.

I get an initial blast of oceanic notes and synthetic floral musk with violet in the background, a reminder of it's original and no Bergamot whatsoever. There are no aquatic notes listed but that's what I smell. Tested it last year and really liked it, got a bottle but unfortunately I don't get on with the notes.

So far from the beloved original!! I really was hoping to get more violet .. To me, it is musky, sticky, aquatic. Great lasting power.

Love this so much, I got it at good price when it went on sales, but it turned out to be a great blind buy! Love everything about it, the fresh, clean, uplifting nature, not so loud, just very sweet and youthful. Office-friendly. Perfect for spring and summer here in Japan. And the bottle is such a pleasure to watch and hold. A lovely, beautiful scent that doesn't feel boring even when I'm wearing it almost every day to work. After a long day of work I can still detect the scent on my hair. My signature scent for now.

A jasmine bomb! Very strong, beast mode, headache inducing jasmine. All that from only just ONE spray. Smells nothing like the OG and definitely nothing like ANY of the Guerlain Insolences, which I happen to be a huge fan of because of the violets. The violets are non existent here. Gotta go wash it off now.

This perfume smells nothing like the legendary Kenzo Flower created in 2000 by Morillas and I'm really grateful about it. Truth is, the classic Flower has never been my ''type'' of perfume, my cup of tea and I've tested it several times, but no, it never trigged my love for it. I love florals but Flower was just too much - too much sweet and powdery to the point I started to dislike it even on other people. Everytime I smelt it on other women I got sick and nauseated also helped by the fact that the perfume has a very considerable sillage (smelling it on the bus it made me search for some fresh air and made my stomach turn). That's the reason why I banned Flower and all its infinite flankers from ever smelling them . When I SA this year made me test Eau Lumière as a new release I was kind of allarmed because I thought it would be another very similar scent to Flower. But when I smelt the paper strip all of my fears dissipated and I was smelling one of the most lovely perfumes. It has got nothing to do with the original Flower thank God and it was love at first smell for me. Eau Lumière is sweet but not overly sweet, it's a very beautiful blend between flower notes, white musk and fruit notes. The name is so adequate in my opinion- the fragrance is really luminous, joyful, young, full of spirit, shining. It may not be a perfume masterpiece or an extraordinary one woth to be remembered in the Hall of fame of perfumes but it's nonetheless an uplifting and joyous fragrance for everyday use, not complicated or sophisticated that can be worn in everytime of year. It's a perfume that you wear for your own happiness, without making a statement but just to make you feel good.

Guys, I might even be going crazy, but on my skin the Eau de Lumière version here was crazy bomb, and I liked being able to discover another greatness of this Flower's Collection that carry a DNA of powder from madam about to retire! The bottles, at least for me, are a Katana in their entirety! [laughs]... I like the citrus and greenish mix that it reveals right when sprayed, it looks like the sun has arrived and with its rays it brings that unexpected feeling of heat, but it's not scary for having a lemonade and a lot of tropical, citrus fruits in the mix. In the heart, Jasmine's dirty footprint is very evident, but this note is oily, aromatic and evident for good, due to Ylang Ylang; here the fruitiness does not refer to fresh peach, but dissected peach, placed in the sun and bright as the name of the fragrance suggests. I remember the Flower by Kenzo matrix here, the crazy but measured talc, fine powder, classy, eminently decided. In the "goodbye" of it, I feel a balsamic touch, which involves a characteristic sweetness of Vanilla bean, but that doesn't bother, all added to the sharp characteristic that Violet and its leaves are able to transmit. Musk to sensualize and seal the illuminated proposal of Eau de Lumière, by Kenzo!

Soo nice. Tried this on in store, and kept getting this lovely, soft, warm? Sweet, gentle floral, almost delicious smell, puffing dreamily from my arm, anytime I moved or there was a breeze around me. I am only dissapointed that I got a 50ml instead of 100ml, will probably buy another one soon to make up for this lol. I just can't get enough of it, the Drydown has me taking deeper more frequent breaths through my nose just to try to inhale the intoxicating aroma coming from my own skin. I have been searching for something soft but that projects around me, and I daresay this does. I can smell it when my arm isn't near my face, and it lasts for hours. It has become a skin scent now but this is like, over 6 hours since I sprayed it on. Happy I got it,:)

I must say that I had been imagining the notes for a long time before this perfume came into my hands. And I was not disappointed. It has a very sparkling floral and fruity output. I am not a fan of the aroma of peach or peach but in this case it does not bother, since it is balanced with notes of violet, rose and jasmine. In summary, it is a citrus-floral start perfume with hints of peach and violets that give it that powdery powdery soft background. Very feminine and used more spring, I am using it in winter on cold days and it is quite nice too. Of moderate wake and duration over 5 hours on my skin.

Unfortunately this was a letdown for me. I regret choosing this over original Flower (both were on sale). I made the decision based on the first 15 mins on my skin, should've waited longer! When I got home, original Flower smelled better than Eau de Lumière. When I sprayed Eau de Lumière the smell was great at first, such a bright flower explosion! But dry down was simply musky soap/laundry. It's not bad, just not the kind of summer scent I was looking for.

Very powdery. The flowery scent only last a couple minutes than it was just powdery. Not a bad powdery smell, still kinda nice but it is just too powdery for my taste. It last forever because of that though, sometimes I can still smell it even though I already took a bath. The only occasion I think is suitable for this perfume is a cold sunny day in spring. Other than that, I feel like this perfume would be too overwhelming.

This forgotten sample gives me today the first flower of springtime, perce-neige, crocus and violet, a little bit of jasmine, for a first sunny and cold day....and it gives me a strange memory of an old sample wich was the first perfume I could smell : the first and old Miss Dior ... I wonder if Kenzo eau de lumière, lighter and greener than Flower can be a choice for next spring..;;;so nice, so cute.. simply breath.......

Well, this was quite unique. Light floral, yet musky. I can't say I mind it, but it doesn't knock my socks off either. Prominent purple flowers (very distinct lilac and rather distinct violet) and light (however contradictory it might sound) white musk. I love the original Flower, and this one is a whole different perfume. I'm guessing not many hardcore Flower by Kenzo EDP lovers would be charmed by this flanker.

I'm actually disappointed there aren't more reviews of this beauty. I do hope it sticks around. I find it lovely. Fresh, floral, subtle yet lasts all day. I'm reminded of an updated version of Givenchy Amarige, but prettier and brighter. This was a genuine sniff and must have. I've been reaching for this and only this for 3 full months now, and that's very unlike me. It's beautiful.

Flower Lumiere is my best from the Flower's collection. It's a violet and musk bomb with a very strong projection. I can hardly smell any citrus, the heliotrope and Ylang-Ylang notes dominate but not in an old-school way. The composition is classic and classy, very feminine and beautiful. The scent is ideal for cool spring days

This is really a luminous scent. I get a strong jasmine and not much else. it is rather simple, but i like it better than the original Flower.This one doesn ́t have that powdery tristesse from the original. It is still a bit powdery but it is much lighter and more solar. I am not in love with it, but it is nice.

This doesn't resemble original Flower at all. At least to my nose. It's elegant,grown up women scent. At first i didn't liked it too much,but after some time I applied it again and i like it more. Very elegant,slightly powdery,warm fragrance.This suits a women who has elegant,classy style.

Typical Morillas creation, pretty , a bit of florals a bit of musk very spring like But done over a thousand times , if you like clean classy florals this is nice Kind of like Flower in the air , or j'Adore edt...pretty, clean.. I don't need it but it is lovely !

looking for something similar! got an old bottle from work and gave it to my mom and she absolutely fell in love! been trying to find her a replacement that smells like it. i've seen that insolence by guerlain smells similar but it just doesn't hit the same :(

On my skin, it doesn't smell anything like the original which I LOVE and was my signature for sometime. I really wanted more violet .. It is too musky, sticky, aquatic. I actually can't stand it. It is very lasting too, I can smell it even after a shower.

white flowers bomb on my skin. and musk. i never wore this in summer. this fragrance plays totally different in warm weather. this reminds me one of those oldschooll fragrances. in particular Chanel Nr.5 right now all i can smell.

Soapy citrus, flowers. Musk seems bit "dirty", thou with time it settles in better. Light, feminine, inoffensive, soapy. I usually don't like soapy perfumes, but this one seems good. It's not "aggressive" cheap soap scent.

There's a milky vinyl note - maybe it's the white musk in the background - that gives this fragrance its postmodern touch. A gentle perfume in the way of Everbloom by Shiseido.

Very floral, lacks the sweetness of the original Flower but I prefer this one. You can definetely tell they come from the same family.

I think the creative director has no more idea to create a new perfume and just wanna play safe with the first success story.
