Flower by Kenzo Eau de Vie

I bought this on a whim without fully testing it, and I'm so glad I did, it's turned out to be absolutely gorgeous. The more I wear it the more I love it. Completely different to the original. I get some kind of headshop vibe to start with, a similarity to MFK APOM, but it's warming and comforting - a sweet gingery and powdery vanilla. The florals are very well blended in the mix so they are present but not individually identifiable, thankfully I can't pick out the orange blossom specifically. Very good lasting power, a lovely daytime fragrance that wafts all day. Quite calming and also nice to meditate with. Also have to give a special mention to the amazing sprayer!!

This is simply beautiful, the smell is enticing, warm, feminine, addictive even...it has many notes I love, neroli, orange blossom, the ginger is done lightly here, with a softer sweeter base..nothing in your face, yet it projects nicely, and longevity is good..why that scent isn’t more well known I am not sure...this is less floral than the original more rounded, modern, a fresh powdery vanilla, and sooo pretty! Like one of the prettiest perfume I have smelled..not an extravagant scent, a stylish beauty...I would turn if I smelled it on someone and would definitely ask them what they are wearing, and I rarely do that.

I really wasn't expecting these notes and this pyramid after I first tried this new version of Flower! There's nothing citric or spicy at all on my skin. This is quite clean and powdery on me - it kind of reminds me of the smell of clean clothes - and I love it. It's sweet in a very natural way, it's not sugar-y in the least. It's sweet and musky - "fluffy". I guess it all depends on which notes stand out on your skin. I love this, it's lightweight enough to be used in warm weather but comforting enough for cool days as well.

It has the OG Flower DNA but with a zesty ginger & citrus twist. More suitable for spring & summer. Longeivity isn’t as good as the OG Kenzo though, eau de vie sits close to the skin after a couple of hours and u get whiffs of it in the breeze or if u bury your nose in it. I still love it though, maybe that’s because I love the OG Flower and have always had a bottle since its release or maybe because EDV was a gift from my bf, which makes it more special to me than it really is 🤷🏼♀️💖

Eau de Vie is a beautiful, warm, optimistic fragrance for spring and summer. It's still a powder scent, but without being dusty. Or we may call this creamy rather than powdery. Reminded me of dolls of my childhood. A good option for powder lovers who find their favorites too heavy in warmer months.

This was a positive surprise to me. I honestly think it’s better than the Flower EDP because it’s more young and fresh. Still has the vintage vibe, very powdery and soapy smell, and it’s very “clean”. Not cosy tho, I think the ginger adds a strong and a bit burning scent. When I smell this, it reminds me of a elegant and chic woman, whit white silk clothes. I just don’t think it’s a delicate scent, it’s more of a creamy white flower scent with a spicy ginger on top of it. I don’t love it, but it’s a very good fragrance overall! Kenzo always on top!

Eau de Vie is a seductive, feminine perfume. It has a depth that does not go unnoticed but at the same time it is fresh and light. Still having a touch attacked but very subtle. Is a perfume that reflects the movement of female empowerment. I'm in love and I must say that Kenzo Flower I do not like anything, it causes discomfort in my stomach and headache. Eau Vie is a precious and vibrant perfume.It is perfect for spring. ****** Sillage: 7/10 Longevity: 8/10

This is another good example of how different a perfume smells on My skin... No ginger or freshness I get someting powdery, warm, seductive and would not call this a spring, summer perfume percé. But perfect for spring, fall and a night out, the content does not match the color off the bottle, this should have been darker...And why do i smell Amouage Journey woman faintly on the background? Projects moderate and stays +4hours

Great fragrance! To me, it is a mix between Twilly and Glow from Jlo. It is clean, feminine, fresh, slightly sweet and slightly spicy. Romantic and uplifting. Very well blended. Perfect for summer! Main notes to me are: rose, ginger, neroli and vanilla. The mix between vanilla and ginger is to die for! I will be looking for other fragrances with this combination. To me, this is the best scent from Kenzo! Final note: 9/10

Eau de vie These are my notes. Dry powdery after 30min, had a feel of the dryness Prada d’iris has. Not the same scent, and it changes. I had the initial feel of this scent as: triple milled soap, the ginger is very tame, a gently ginger clean soap rounded. As it has worn rounded, clean, ginger not fresh kind, semi creamy. a bit shower fresh feel green slightly in the card Tested autumn on skin and a card.

NEROLLLLLI~ if you do not like neroli, turn away. A little green, a little ginger, a little sweet, a little fresh. A nice twist on the original. An upscale white cotton zip up jogging suit - some ol skool Ellesse sneakers - Valentino sunglasses - driving in a convertible while wearing this fragrance.

Mellow powder, a touch of sweet orange blossom water, and something rosy, in a gourmand way, a marshmallow way. Light, cheerful, fluffy, feminine. It’s an open, young minded and sensitive fragrance, with a positive vibe. Nice, very nice indeed. Springtime is coming in advance this year!

To me this is a very nice version of sundazed, which I dont like, but I like this a lot. If the original flower is the smell of a funeral, then this one is definitely the smell of life! Energizing citrus!

the orange blossom and ginger go together so well. the only problem is that it isn’t long lasting, it lasts like 2 hours on me i am kinda disappointed.

Blind buy. I am glad it turned quite nice, but I wish it was closer to the original. It is completely different from the original (which I love). It is warm, comforting - sweet ginger and powdery vanilla. The flowers are very well blended so the notes are present but not detectable individually. Very good, lasting power, a beautiful fragrance that lingers all day long.

The bottle is off-putting to begin with. The flower is drawn on the bottle and the cap doesn't close with a click which gives the perfume a cheap vibe. Alas, this perfume isn't high end but still...The smell is also too strong and cheap-smelling. I believe I have chewed gum that smelled like this in my childhood...The original Kenzo flower was beautiful but this one is a no-no for me.

Such an interesting twist to the original Flower. The scent is stronger and warmer, very likable. Like clean laundry with ginger softener. Ginger is so noticeable and adds a nice touch, but unfortunately I personally hate ginger with a passion so I don't want to smell like it. I appreciate the perfume though, it's very well blended.

Bergamot ginger bergamot ginger bergamot ginger I thought i liked both these things but this perfume makes me think otherwise

This perfume strongly reminds me of Bioparox - throat spray for angina. Not happy memories.

So many positive reviews. I wonder if those people gave the same review on Mugler Alien. Because I get the similarity, not the overall notes themselves but the vibe the frag gives. It comes with a sharp opening, something artificial, a soap-like scent. And it stays there. Heavy sillage. I don't care whether day or night I don't wanna smell it anywhere. I think this opinion came from my preference over something softer and mild, powdery musk with vanilla, something woodsy. And although there is benzoin here (my favorite note) there is still no redemption in this frag for me. Review aside, try first before blind-buy. This review coloumn doesn't work for me.

Don't say this much but I found this scent very foul, Cant really put my finger on what note turns me off but the whole scent is just a thick powdery sweet mess to my nose.

I smelled this only from the bottle - so not an indepth review, but since there are no reviews yet, I'd liked to help anyone who is eyeing this perfume. The scent is different from what I expected, I thought it would be a departure from the heavy powderiness of Flower, and more fresh and sparkly. Now, it is indeed fresher, more springtimey and more emphasis on the florals. But: it is also very powdery, although more fluffy and airy powdery, compared to the heavy powder in the original. For me, the powder is more than I can take, but if you like the original and are looking for a summertime scent, this could be the one for you.

As soon as I smelled this, it reminded me of Acqua Universalis Forte (AUF) by Kurkdjian. I went to the shops to compare them and I think to my nose, this is a powdery and less defined version of AUF. It is not so similar initially, as Eau de Vie (EdV) has more orange blossom than lemon, and AUF is the other way round. However, they are quite similar in the dry-down, although EdV is much more powdery. Also is it clear that the ingredients in AUF are of higher quality. I really love them both and I recommend that if you have always loved AUF but find the price exorbitant (as I do) then EdV may just be a good substitute. Joy!

Kenzo has this focus on fresh perfumes, and Flower is no different. Or is it lightness over freshness? Flower by Kenzo is beautiful there is a warmth from vanilla and I'm getting the florals from the Orange blossom and Bulgarian Rose, it's not an offensive or powerful fragrance. I can't help but compare it to Kenzo World, which I think it's slightly more punchy and astringent in comparison to Flower which is sweeter, floral and mellow. My taste in perfume tends to be more sweet, fruity and musky; so the freshness even though is lovely, is different and odd to me. I don't know if I'd get it again.

I've been seeing Flower eau de vie on the shelves of TkMaxx for the past week or so, and I was so tempted to buy it thinking it'll smell similar to the original powdery Flower by Kenzo until I got a chance to sample it today. It's a completely different scent. It instantly reminded me of Escada Margaretha Ley and the Original Gloria Vanderbilt. While it's nice and long lasting, but it wasn't at all what I had in mind. Lesson of the day: Flankers can be so unpredictable. Don't assume. Test before you buy.

At the very beginning it reminds me of the original quite a bit, but it literally lasts minutes. Then some spicy-powdery notes come onto play: my bet is on ginger, musk and benzoin. It stays light and clean, but doesn’t have much in common with the original Flower. Just a very wearable spring/summer scent, definitely unique in its own way.

Quite heavy on the orange blossom so definitely test before you buy. I don’t mind it so much but unfortunately this isn’t one of my go-to fragrances. More of an autumn/winter scent in my opinion.

The opening reminds me of the original flower by Kenzo, but the dry down reminds me Of Armani si fiori. Really lovely fragrance. Shame it only sits close To The skin and is not that long lasting.

Interesting powdery, floral and spicy FbK flanker. The ginger note is very noticeable and so is the orange blossom. Not a safe blind buy though.

I love the powdery dry down, it is perfect for cooler days, comforting scent for January / February

This reminds me of Jean Paul Gaultier Classique.
