Flower by Kenzo L'Absolue

Flower by Kenzo L'absolue is completely different than the Original Flower Kenzo. I love the Original, but I'm in love with this. This is a warm, sweet fruity/floral fragrance....... Some perfumes feel either too old or too young, but this can be enjoy by all age groups. I have heard from many that Kenzo fragrances are very popular in France so I would avoid wear this while traveling there. Just don't want to smell like everyone else. It tested the longevity & it lasted a few days on fabric. I would group this with the same sweet Floral category of Giorgio Armani My Way (Floral, Intense), Si Passione (Intense), Givenchy Irresistible EDP...... It's absolutely Not the in the same citrus/detergent scent category like YSL Libre or Valentino Voce Viva.

This is THE love of my life :) I absolutely adore it and I am surprised to see such low reviews. L ́Absolue starts with slightly spicy opening, I guess that ́s the shaffron talking. I can ́t smell any roses nor flowers. Immediately after the opening I get clean, soft musk, which I keep smelling for the rest of the day from my skin and my clothes. For me it is a comforting and romantic smell. I often use it when I am going to be in a stressful situation because for me it represents a calming blanket and I feel safe thanks to it.

I looooooveeee this parfume. When I first try it at the store, I knew that I must take this home. For me and with Indonesia weather, this parfume makes me feel warms like a bouqet of flower hugging me... And the crazy part is, the smell of the parfume it remains still even after 2 weeks on my sweater.. It's a long lasting parfume and I love to wear it especially to an event... This is a mature woman parfume...

There is something very intimate about this scent. To me, it feels like the more sensual, outgoing sister of the original Flower In close contact, it's a true compliment magnet. The clean, almost clinical DNA of the original softens into something warmer, with a pillowy, natural skin scent and a subtle metallic tang that makes it enticing Perfect for date nights!

Comprei onde 50ml numa promoção por 150 reais, tem um toque da flor de laranja misturado com a rosa de kenzo, doce sinto a baunilha mas não exagerada, um forte toque ácido de especiaria provável o açafrão oq e bom! feminino e elegante, fixação e muito boa sim! Projeção também e boa.

I love it... I'm Indonesian and this parfume smells soooo good with our humidity. I can smell the safron and the rose. It felt warm and elegant. I don't feel like it has similarity with My Way, Libre, etc.... Maybe the humidity also affecting how this perfume smells...

This is such an underrated scent. I personally did not realize how gorgeous it was until I started to use my bottle. It is a clean, mature scent with depth to it, as well as great sillage. It is not clean in an aldehydic sense, but still smells so clean to me.

Your type of perfume if you like the rosey ones, I love the vanilla-musk dry down too, favourite combo. The smell is not heavy but yet long lasting! Delicate, someone told me that I smell delicious 😂 suitable also in the summer ending.

It's a very, very good perfume! If I wanted to buy a gift for a friend, this would be the one! It's absolutely a safe blind buy! It doesn't seem like something very complicated but it really smells gorgeous and rich!

Such a gorgeous vanilla and definitely my favourite of the "flowers". My nose catches similarity with Poison Girl that I have, but I'd say this one is a lot more summer friendly.

First sniff love, bought it right away, its so beautiful. I love it. Beautiful blend of al mentioned notes in a Kenzo specific style.

A very pleasant and delicate floral fragrance with saffron accents but I don't feel like I absolutely need this. I really liked the Elixir version for the gourmand route it took, and this one piqued my interest more than L'Absolue. I’m currently exploring saffron perfumes as I’ve recently noticed how hooked they get me (YSL’s Libre Le Parfum) so I decided to revisit the new Absolue flanker. Once again, it smells really pretty but I’m not thinking about it day and night. I don’t know why, but I feel like it lacks a little bit more contrast. Its evolution feels expected, there is no surprise--- it remains almost linear on my skin. Also, I feel like it may smell a bit mature for some people so if you expect it to be on a fresher and more youthful side, you might be disappointed.

I find this more beautiful and elegant than the mentioned L'Interdit, Voce Viva, Libre, My Way. This is much easier to wear. Those contain the orange blossom, but they smell screechy sometimes. Flower L'Absolu still has a bit of that original Flower DNA and it makes the composition more interesting, not summery, bright and flashy. It's quite a universal all year round perfume. Saffron is an excellent touch. I still think the original Flower is a much more unique creation, this doesn't have that at all, but it is pleasant to wear.

Why do I get this clean soap vibe from this? Yes it’s floral, a little bit sweet but not overly sweet, but I get a soap, spicy rose scent. I don’t know where people smell the vanilla? Maybe a bit in the base just to soften but it’s certainly not a vanilla forward fragrance to me! The orange blossom gives that soap vibe I believe but it’s makes me confused why people voted vanilla as top accord. As I’d say floral is top accord followed by spicy then vanilla.

Came across a tester in a shop that I normally do not visit. It's fruity, rosy with much vanilla there. Not fresh, it's on the heavy side. It's like Angel Nova but AN is a lot more woody as the oud is discernable there. Flower by Kenzo absolu is, however, just sweet and cheerful. It may relate to My Way or Sublime Epoque a bit more. Overall lovely but I may not go down this path for now. Definitely recommend if you are a floral or fruity person.

A rosa e o musk se conversam bem nessa mistura que é confortável e acolhedora, quase como que um abraço. Considero o mais sóbrio e contido dos Kenzos pois apesar de morno, ele não exala tanto e vira quase uma segunda pele, trazendo elegância e sofisticação mas de uma maneira muito sutil e delicada. Depois de umas horas, a baunilha se assenta melhor com o floral, deixando o perfume mais adocicado (levemente).

If anyone is missing the beautiful Miss Dior 2017 you must try a sample of this. After the initial warm saffron opening (thankfully short lived) it has the same orange and rose combo going on as MD2017. For me its suitable for any season, daytime wear. Its mature (not old fashioned) slightly sweet fruity floral. It has decent longevity and a soft projection.

From a male point of view : Very nice floral, musky, slightly sweet fragrance. Opens up floral and dries down to a rosy, musky, slighly powdery vanilla fragrance. Elegant scent with a character. To my nose, this is a floral and lighter version of YSL Libre Intense.

Very nostalgic scent, late 90s and early 00s... Fresh and spicy, yet powdery snd almost lipstick-y. Floral notes with a beautiful clean and soapy finish. It’s quite powerful but also sheer at the same time.

This was the only perfume I packed for a trip to the UK in late summer/early autumn. I can't stress how lovely this was in the humid and sometimes warm, sometimes cool weather.

It's nice and delicate. Not ground breaking... A clean floral scent.

I get the lighter version of Libre. It’s not new, Libre is better. It’s nothing beyond a lot of fruity florals but it’s nicely done, well composed. Safe for everything. To me it’s a little boring but pleasant. Nice scent bubble. It’s very respectable if you want a work perfume and you want it traditionally feminine. It lasts a good 6 hrs on skin so longevity is very sound. There are zillions of these types of fragrances because they are popular. It’s a decent one of those. If you want more sultry just get Libre Le Parfum. If you want cheaper get Golden Decade summer by Zara.

I'm confused with this one. This smells nothing like the original Flower by Kenzo. Unlike the original Flower, I don't find any personality or uniqueness in this EDP, To me, it smells like 90% of the generic floral/fruity sweet fragrances that are so popular right now. Although I have to admit that this one is somewhat pleasant, the rose and orange flower notes are well combined, and the vanilla notes are not candy-like (fortunately).The musky vanilla drydown reminds me of Dior's Hypnotic Poison. Decent sillage, but poor longevity. Overall, I'm not impressed.

I love the original. What happened with this flanker? I want a DNA-test! They don't even smell like they are related! This isn't a bad perfume, but you can't compare it with the timeless masterpiece I'm in love with. This modern scent needs its own name and its own bottle.

Generic perfume, really similar if not identical to Voce Viva. In the same group of vanilla/fruity/white florals perfumes that are everywhere at the moment (Voce Viva, My Way etc.) To me it has no character, just boring okayish smelling scent.

That's ok. It's extremely sweet and potent. I do much prefer the original Flower, this is worse imo. Performance is very good. This is very feminine.

A pretty, saffron flower scent. You can honestly get a better version of this at many Arab perfumeries. But this is still nice for what it is.

I received a sample of this with another purchase. I double checked now to make sure it's not the original Flower by Kenzo because it smells very old fashioned, most teachers in my school went for this scent profile in mid-late 2000s. My aunt also had a fragrance so similar to this that it takes me all the way back. I have this thing with Alberto Morillas' works where I am repelled slash puzzled by the opening and as it settles I find the scent to be nice but they never really wow me. Flower L'Absolue doesn't evolve much on my skin, time passes but it stays the same as it was upon the initial spray, just a tad less spicy and citrusy, but still very sharp and screechy. In my opinion Morillas does more classic/mainstream types of frags like Daisy or Bright Crystal very well but something feels off with his bolder creations. I'd move leather and metallic higher up in the accords since they stand out the most, making the scent really bitter and unpleasant. I suppose if it evolved more then those accords would degrade and be balanced out by the sweetness of vanilla but whatever it is that causes it to smell this way (saffron + musk?) is so abrasive from the beginning til the end that other notes don't get to shine at all. It has the same heaviness I pick up in L'Interdit but unlike that one, this scent doesn't come off as vulgar. Very mature fragrance for a mature lady (although a mature lady that is my mom said it's awful and that I better wash it off, sigh) but a man could pull it off too, it's so very leather-y and leaves a cologne-like aroma in the trail.

I got this as a free sample when I ordered other samples and based on the notes I thought I might enjoy it. When I first sprayed it on, I actually really like the scent. It was sort of tropical and fruity almost? I couldn’t really discern any specific note but it definitely didn’t read very floral to me. My hopes were high at this point, and I wasn’t worried about a powdery dry down bc as a general rule I tend to enjoy powdery scents as long as they aren’t straight up baby powder. But within five minutes this had turned into an absolutely nauseating almost medicinal powdery scent. I tried to give it a chance but it was truly making me feel sick so I had to scrub it off. Based on what I smelled, the notes for the original Flower make more sense, but I double checked and I definitely had this version. Not too disappointed since I didn’t pick this out myself, but it is pretty rare that I scrub a scent off me or feel ill from it, and I think this will make me much more wary of scents labelled as powdery from now on.

Unexpectedly loud for a Kenzo release, this is a rather generic and heavy rose–orange blossom combination, resting on an amber-and-vanilla-warmed base. I didn’t enjoy it at all. Although saffron does eventually emerge, its potential elegance is completely overshadowed by the syrupy sweetness typical of mediocre compositions, leaving the scent without any real sense of refinement or nobility. It's pretty but just another heavy white floral fragrance from the many in the market, it has nothing from the original Flower by Kenzo, but it's soooo similar (to don't say identical) to L'interdit, Voce Viva, Si Passione, Libre, My Way etc etc etc. Nothing new, exciting or original, if you have any white floral scent in your collection already, you don't miss anything with this one.

Still as pungent and disgusting as I remember. Classic Flower DNA ruined by a sharp metallic odor somewhat similar to what they add to frags like Erba Pura. Very screechy and sinister. Powdery but not sweet. Not well-blended either. Old-fashioned but in a way that makes you want to forget, not reminisce.

Oof. On paper this is everything I should love, but it smells super funky :( I wish I could pinpoint what exactly it reminds me of, I just know it smells unpleasant. Weirdly coppery, musty and synthetic.

I wanted to like this one too but sadly I don't! Yes, you can make out the rose and the saffron, but mix it all in with the powdery old school kenzo vibes. That sounds good on paper but in reality the rose and the saffron notes aren't the plush notes you find in niche or arabic perfumery - the saffron is medicinal, the rose vegetal. It creates a medicinal, powdery, watery mess, not the arabic rose gourmand you might be used to based on seeing these notes. Probably not fair to compare the two but I can't help but feel dissapointed - there are simply too many amazing vanilla rose saffron perfumes out there at pretty much every price point. This smells rushed and dated.

Skin test, hot day. This one 'comes and goes' on me. Everything I've be picking up seems to be names amber floral in category lately... Well, l'absolu fits into the warm, sweet, floral category for sure. Its nothing to do with the original dry floral Flower. Rounded, warm, spiced - but not like in food - light florals, though no literal flowery feel. No fruit like in Kenzo amore .. there's a couple of tall bottles, black one and maybe a red one, they're something like Elixir etc... So lately there's alien goddess, v&r fortune Elixir, Prada intense - though that's far more aromatic - anyway.. warm feeling.

Really loving that one ! It packs a punch at first, it s warm, with an underlying sweetness, and warm florals..usually Morillas creations tend to be pretty, but soft and a bit generic...not this one..it isn’t at all like the original Flower, this is less floral, less powdery, less dated, more sensuous too! I am wearing it in summer, but I think winter is the best season for it...beautiful !!

WITH MACERATED TESTER Disappointed. How is it possible to happen that beautiful scent can be saffron bomb? When i tried with the brand new sample, rose and orange blossom were prominent and harmonized well. ( my Avis is in a below ) But with macération it became only saffron, then flower scent is seriously hard to detect. It smells like grandma’s bedroom.

Just another flankers every year, utilizing the success of the first Flower by Kenzo. This brand need to rejuvenate and do something daring like Kenzo Takada did in the past. The current team is just playing too safe re-launching new flankers, not sure they are really working. People are getting bored with your flankers

In between Miss Dior Le Parfum and Frederic Malle Lipstick Rose 🌹 Powdered creamy sweet rose, a bit of Mancera Roses Vanille too. This isn't a floral perfume, this is definitely a vanilla, cosy type of scent. Very cuddly, I'd say perfect for autumn and cold weather.

Shocking surprise, so good for the price and the bottle is stunning. Definitely fruity, I'd say an expensive take on Britney Spears' Fantasy but with grapefruit and actually good ingredients. Pretty good longevity and a refreshing must for summer.

WITH BRAND NEW SAMPLE NOT MACERATED Rose is fresh and kinda metallic but harmonizing well with Orange blossom surprisingly. It’s very beautiful, mature and inoffensive scent.

Aquatic roses, smoky saffron, sweet incense. So unique.
