Kenzo Homme Eau de Parfum

Staying on the aquatic and marine theme, I have a special one today. Kenzo Homme EDP, perfumed by none other than Quentin Bisch. It's described as a sensual interpretation of leather warmed by sunlight and brightened by spicy facets, so let's see what it's all about. (Quick side note: There is a lot I to be said about the pre-2022 version, how this compares to the original EDT, and batch performance discussions. For this review though, I'm going to judge it as its own fragrance as much as possible.) The opening of Kenzo Homme EDP is made up of sea notes mixed with what I can only describe as an allspice accord. It reminds me of a blend of clove and cinnamon, but with a salty twist that may be coming from the leather. It's very unique and there is also a faint sweetness in the background that I suspect comes from fig. The opening has just enough funk from the marine notes to keep you coming back for another smell. After about 30 to 45 minutes, the spice begins to soften and more of the leather starts to come through. The fragrance becomes a little darker and smoother while also revealing something that feels very Quentin Bisch. I get a Bois Imperial adjacent Akigalawood character, but here it is wrapped in that salty marine accord from the opening. Around the hour and a half to two hour mark, the fragrance settles into an earthy mix of patchouli and leather with a subtle salty sweetness. If you're familiar with Kenzo fragrances or other work from Bisch, you'll probably have a good idea of the territory this occupies. One thing I really appreciate is the simplicity of the official note pyramid. Not because it is accurate, because I don't think it is, but because it encourages you to explore the fragrance for yourself. Instead of following a detailed list of notes and waiting for them to appear, you end up forming your own interpretation of what you're smelling. I find that refreshing. It's also been nice to see how positive the reception for this particular fragrance has been. Review after review seems to praise this fragrance. That's somewhat surprising because a composition centered around sea notes, leather, and patchouli could have easily been divisive. Whatever is happening with the blend, combined with that addictive Akigalawood style DNA, is clearly working for a lot of people. Performance on my bottle has been excellent. It lasts all day on my skin with no issues. At first I thought the performance was poor, but it turns out I was simply going nose blind to it while other people could still detect it quite strongly. I don't think this review fully does the fragrance justice. If you're unfamiliar with this style of scent, you'll probably need to experience it for yourself. Recently, I've been on a bit of a cold streak with Quentin Bisch fragrances. We haven't exactly been seeing eye to eye, or nose to nose, but this one stopped that streak in it's tracks Another glowing review for this beautiful fragrance. This one earns it.

I’m someone who cannot stand summer fragrances or anything “blue” I don’t know what it is about them but no blue fragrance has ever caught my attention, that is until I found this, the fact that my collection had no fragrances in it that were particularly good for summer was becoming a problem to me so I went on the search to find one that I really click with, I was kind of giving up until i who was going through the airport and stopped by duty-free To smells and fragrances to kill time, since I was still on the hunt for a summer fragrance, I picked up the sample bottle for this one since I had heard good things, after the very first sniff I was absolutely in love! I immediately bought it regardless of the ridiculous airport price because I knew I needed this in my collection, it’s definitely unique and that’s the best part about it it somehow manages to be really refreshing and mysteriously dark at the same time, like if Batman had a secret vacation home in Tahiti, when i smell it I think of two things, both a peaceful hut in the middle of a Japanese bamboo forest next to a small creek with a teapot boiling, and a mass massive storm at sea in the middle of the night, maybe with a lighthouse and huge waves crashing up against the rocks, somehow I get both of those things from this and I absolutely love it There’s definitely way more notes than it shows listed but the ones listed are there, on my skin the patchouli is slightly more prominent than on a sample paper but other than that it stays pretty much the same as it smells on the inside of the bottle cap, this is definitely going to be my go to summer fragrance and I plan on getting another bottle the minute this one runs out, also on a side note it is absolutely nuclear, total powerhouse, it lasts for hours and hours I’ve had it on my wrist for about nine hours now and I can still smell it somewhat strong and that’s after washing my hands multiple times throughout the day, and the projection is extremely good especially in the first four hours or so, I definitely recommend going a little lighter on the sprays than you normally would, I’m definitely giving this a 10/10 its just magical!

Review for Kenzo Homme EDP 2022. Kenzo Homme Eau de Parfum is the biggest surprise of 2022 by Quentin Bisch! This 2022 EDP version smells phenomenal. It feels like Quentin Bisch made a mini greatest hit of his two most talked about fragrances Bois Imperial and Ganymede rolled into a newer Kenzo Homme remake for 2022! If the intense version also by Quentin Bisch felt a bit off putting with it’s strong dominant fig note, this version omits that, and the fig note is only present after an hour and is less intruding. Kenzo Homme 2022 adds a beautiful leather and patchouli note whilst still giving a slightly aquatic and fresh vibe. The fragrance is wearable in high heat, yet it is completely ready to wear in Winter. This 2022 version feels so much more mature, smoother and more refined than the intense version, it almost feels like Quentin Bisch created the ‘perfect version’ of Ganymede and Bois Imperial for his loyal fans. The longevity and sillage are mind blowing in this fragrance. More than two sprays of Kenzo Homme will be overkill in the Summer, with just maybe three in the very cold winter. The fragrance lasts a whopping 12 hours plus on skin and days on clothes. As it settles on your skin you will notice the changes by the hour showcasing how amazingly talented Quentin Bisch. I only mentioned Ganymede and Bois Imperial as I am very familiar with them, I think upon further inspection one might find much more hidden gems in it. Do you like compliments? Kenzo Homme is huge compliment magnet so be prepared to be asked what you are wearing as it’s a huge crowd pleaser. Just don’t overspray. This is without a doubt the biggest designer release of 2022 that few have yet discovered. I cannot emphasize enough how outstanding this fragrance is. In my opinion this is not another Kenzo flanker but a ‘hidden niche’ fragrance in the designer section created by one of the best perfumers called Quentin Bisch!

Interesting fragrance. I was expecting a more straightforward marine scent, but there's much more going on in the composition than the three listed notes would suggest. Unfortunately, Quinten Bisch's signature use of strong aroma chemicals, is done here as well and makes me go anosmic quickly, something I also experienced with Bois Imperial. Because of that, I had to spray it on a tester strip and test it over time. It opens with a strong seaweed like accord. It's dark, inky and slightly fishy, but not salty or airy in the way calone or typical ozonic notes are. Over time, that accord fades as an edible patchouli note and warm spices become more prominent. Akigalawood is also very noticeable here, and the drydown strongly reminds me of Bois Imperial. One thing I really liked was the presentation. The packaging and bottle are minimal yet beautiful. Despite what I thought from the pictures, it feels more premium than a toy like bottle, and the cap grips tightly as well. I saw many reviews mentioning that the caps in this line are very loose, but mine actually clicks in firmly and can even hold the weight of the bottle when picked up by the cap. Overall, I'm not saying I'm blown away, but it's a cool concept and a very reliable daily wear for men. Definitely not your typical designer marine scent. I'm going to spend more time with it and see what else I can discover about the scent. Update: compliment magnet. especially from the ladies. lasts well above 8 hours on my skin and even days on clothes. Was telling myself this will not work out in heat until i wore it in 35 degrees and was not disappointed at all. such a gorgeous masterpiece. 10/10

I’m changing gears completely today. It’s wet and cold (for our semi-tropical standards) and I want to slap on some synthetic, marine leather. I tend to go for natural-leaning classics... but every once in a while I get the urge for a big, bold, modern synth. And no one delivers this jam better than Quentin Bisch. (I own this and Hermann by ELdO, and my lady owns Ganymede.) This is presented as a pared down, abstract structure consisting of three main, contrasting accords: marine notes, leather, and patchouli. Of course, there’s more going on here: I can detect a slightly terpenic pine as well as a nice dose of nutmeg that provides spicy warmth (love me a good nutmeg note, Quorum Silver’s being another favorite). The “patchouli” note is in fact achieved through Bisch’s signature use of AkigalawoodTM, the Givaudan captive material that he’s personally become known for and which he uses to great effect here: slightly peppery and distantly evocative of woody-nutty oud. The juice is a darkly cooling, semisweet, salty-leathery brew that evokes an image of sun-dried, age-worn, organic materials out at sea: leather boots and mitts, old wooden chests filled to the brim with patchouli, an ambergris-smeared deck. I’d forgotten how good this was. A final word on performance: as with other Bisch creations, this one will leave a nice trail behind you that won’t choke anyone out if you don’t overspray. As someone who prefers his fragrances to stay closer to the skin, this one hovers right at the limit (it’s strong). And it will last you ALL. DAY. LONG. Which is nice, given the deliciously salty leathery drydown. Definitely hitting the spot today!

Boy oh BOOOY! When Id first recieved this NUCLEAR BOMB of a beauty, I really enjoyed is ESPECIALLY for that gorgeous, (Clean) Patchouly base. I was a bit dissapointed that I couldn't really pick up on that "Leather note" but I suppose that it must add some depth or something. It also had good performance and I wore it a couple times, but then stored it away so I could use some.of ny other fragrances. Well, maybe 2 months later I came back to it, did 4 spritzes for work and when I got there I realized that I done F-CKED UP! Now, dont get me wrong, I def got positive attention but the problem was that I believe I could've gotten attention from the next county over! Lol! Kenzo Homme edp became so strong after "Maturation" that honestly, just 2 spritzes may be too much, and man does this lasts! Even after I washed that shirt I wore to work I could STILL pick up on it slightly and that's that I'd washed with warm/hot water. Kenzo Homme edp is deceptively SMOOOTH with no sharpness at all which makes on think it isnt as nuclear as it is, but you'd be wrong! Point is, limit your sprays on this bad boy ESPECIALLY once its Maturated a bit. Kenzo Homme edp is extremely potent and easy to go nose-blind to and ya dont wanna be "That Guy" like I was on that day! Lol. This is a STELLAR, smooth, patchouli heavy, great smelling 9 outta 10 fragrance (minus one point for the undetectable leather note) within the Designer/Aquatic/Blue Genre and man, that deep yet clean Patchouly is KILLER in this thing and I LOVE that about this frag! Again, 2 sprays MAX for work etc, and maybe 3 for going out on the town!🙂 I love Kenzo Homme edp!

So, it may be because I just got my brand new bottle and it hasn't matured yet at all, but Im getting NO Leather and very little "Salty-Marine notes", what I am getting is a ton of GORGEOUS Patchuli and what smells like Inscence to my nose as well as a "drift wood" note that I'vesmelled in other designer frags (namely CH Birds of Paradise). Now, Im NOT complaining much about the lack of the Leather note because this smells freakin' AMAZING! I have quite a bit of high quality "Clone/inspired by" fragrances aswell as many high end designers. Theres a woody note in the base in Kenzo Homme edp that Ive only ever smelled in High-end designers and a few "niche" frags that's also present in Kenzo Homme edp, yet I've never picked that specific woodsy note out of any of my fantastic "Clone" frags. Point is that this fragrance smells like a "high-end" expensive designer fragrance ESPECIALLY bc of that divine potent, natural Patchouli and woody dry-down. Now I KNOW that people will think Im NUTS, Buuuut, that Patchouli in the far, far dry down reminds me a bit of the patchouli in the far dry-down in Black Orchid edp. I do hope that the Leather accord becomes a bit more prominent, honestly though, I wouldnt even mimd if this dna doesn't change much at all bc it really does smell that amazing. I cannot comment on Langevity/Performance as I havent given Kenzo Homme edp a full wearing yet, so Ill have to come back for an update. As for now?... , smells AMAZE-BALLZ!!! Kenzo Homme EDP As I harolded in the KHI Review. “Man, this line is easily one of the best in my collection. So unique. They have masterfully taken the DNA of what we know as a summer aquatic and made it versatile for every season. I for one love that this line gets slept on” KH EDP is easily the most versatile of the whole line. While I love all of them. This is one I would have to recommend if you plan on just buying one from the line. The EDP opens up pretty much like the entire flanker line with this salted calypsone melon but instead of fig you get this leather note. Which does last the life of the fragrance. In the dry down this beautiful dusty cinnamon/sandalwood comes in to play a great background Melody. This one you can pull off year-round. Dress it up or down. Price Point 10/10 Performance 10/10 Projection 10/10 (5-6hrs of solid projection on skin) Longevity 10/10 (12-14hrs on skin, 2 or 3 days on clothes) If you happen to give this one a smell you might find yourself getting a backup. Enjoy PS this one gets real hard to find at times, so if you shop at discounters you are going to want to be on the email notification list for when it comes back in stock. Id jump on it quick. As of 7.5.25 fragrancex.com has this in stock 3.7oz for $50 which is a steal. Also $20 cheaper then my back up bottle I got from FragranceNet last month. (Which is also currently out of stock) So go get it.

If you're searching for a 'run-of-the-mill' designer aquatic, keep moving. This is truly a unique fragrance, and it's probably not for everyone. I wouldn't blind buy this one. For me personally, it's one of the most captivating scents I own. The "aquatic" category has been dominated for decades by safe mega-hits like Acqua di Gio, Invictus, Versace Pour Homme, Light Blue, L'Eau d'Issey, etc. While those are all classics for a reason, they follow the same "clean blue" line. Kenzo Homme EDP does something different. It opens bright and crisp with citrus (bergamot/lemon) and fresh sea air. Not tart like a lot of citrus fragrances, but smooth and slightly sugared. Rather than follow the same old playbook of turning soapy or generic, it quickly turns into something more textured and masculine. There's a darker backbone underneath the freshness: mossy woods, earthy patchouli vibes, and a wonderful unexpected leather note that makes this feel truly unique. The mid has that aromatic green lift (sage/juniper/nutmeg) that keeps it sharp and modern, but the base is where it wins: cedar, vetiver, labdanum, musk, and oakmoss-style richness that makes the scent feel like salty skin, driftwood, and clean earth - not shower gel. It's bright, clean, slightly sweet, and still somehow rugged. If you're tired of aquatics that all smell interchangeable, this is one to try.

Well, mine arrived yesterday, and, only because I've seen the power of maturation, letting a fragrance sit & meditate awhile, do I hold out hope that this can turn into an appealing fragrance to me. Fortunately, there are quite a few others who said that their first impressions weren't great, but, then they began to gain more appreciation for the scent. I did my usual 8-10 spritzes, prior to sitting it back for maturation, and, while it didn't immediately smell of it, it wasn't long before I began detecting the unmistakable smell of pickles. Pickles are ok, but, for the most part, I'm not so much of a pickle-guy, and, that picklish, briny smell, once I detected it, became all that I could smell. Again, like I said, I've seen the magic that maturation can produce, so, I'm not ready to write this one off. Initially, I truly hated Encre Noire A L'Extreme, couldn't imagine myself EVER wearing it. Then, don't know if my nose matured or what, suddenly,...I got it! And, now, I actually very much enjoy that fragrance. So, if it happened once, I'm certainly not going to condemn Kenzo Homme EDP, until I've given it every opportunity to fail. Here I've been holding my breath, in search of that oud note, in a fragrance, that would really hit me wrong, but, thus far, I've avoided that encounter. But, damn...never expected PICKLES.

I blind bought this after going down a rabbit hole of online reviews and creators talking about how unique of a blue fragrance it is, and I must say it certainly is and in a really really good way, I can only think of one other time that I smelled something like this and I cant even remember what it is but this juice is amazing. This is the most "dark blue" fragrance I've ever owned. Its so hard to describe, firstly it is very marine/aquatic smelling with a little bit of that watery saltiness, and there's this earthy sweetness in there too which is a big part and its like 40% fresh and 60% dark, I heard someone describe this as the type of aquatic you picture being in the dead of night in the middle of the sea with waves crashing around you and I feel like that is the perfect visualization for how this smells. And you can trust and believe the claims on longevity and projection, this is an absolute beast I was choking with my typical neck sprays on my first test wear lmao, gotta go 3 sprays tops one each shoulder and one to the back of the neck and you're good. But overall thoughts, this is a very unique DARK blue fragrance and I love it, do be careful blind buying though It went good for me but its definitely not the safest. But its also very inexpensive so if you're thinking of it, I'd say send it 8.6/10

For the newer generation of fragheads that are intimidated, perplexed or fear the fougeres, aromatics & orientals from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s & early 2000’s, this here brings a light but recognizable tinge of what that era was about but, done for today’s modern appetite that enjoys a sweeter (not too sweet) aquatic, leather & patchouli combination that exhibits class &masculinity with confidence and swag. There is a light saltiness that just caresses the skin that blends in masterfully with the notes listed that melds beautifully with my skin & chemistry make up. It’s a perfect wear that is signature scent worthy for any man from 20 to 60 and beyond. Listen, there is no green, herbal or soapyness in this creation from the time periods that I mentioned previously that turn off many of the newer fragrance chasers of today. There’s enough of that earthy & leathery goodness to remind those of us of those great classics while still being able to smell modern yet with class & sophistication. One can wear this to anything without skipping a beat. It has polish with the slight attitude to fit in any situation presented. For men today that haven’t been neutered by the current state of societal cluelessness, this is a banger. Simply excellent work by Quentin Bisch and the house of Kenzo.

first day wearing this and i'm already leaving a review, haha this smells like a calm ocean at night. there's a really nice sweetness to it – nothing overly sweet or loud, just pleasant and surprisingly well-balanced. it's a pretty linear scent from start to finish, but somehow it's not boring at all. it's actually a bit addictive, i've already reapplied it a couple of times today just to get another hit of it (makes me sound like a junkie but wcyd). also, this fragrance just smells confident – i love that. many people here have mentioned the leather being highly prominent – i didn't get the leather that much, to be honest. to me, this is a sweet, clean, slightly salty aquatic fragrance, not much leather the bottle looks great, really evokes that picture of a dark ocean in your mind. as for the overall performance, i honestly didn't get the beastly projection i've seen so many people hype up, but it's still alright and lasts moderately well on my skin. loving it so far. highly recommend if you want a clean, dark aquatic.

I do not even know where to start. This is my favorite fragrance in recent years so I will keep it as straight forward as I can. It is: long lasting, unique like any other, price is amazing for what you get, bottle is beautiful, sprays as much as it needs to, strong, projects amazing, and its all season. This fragrance reminds me of a deep mysterious ocean, but at the same time it has a nostalgic feeling for me. Its really marine and leathery. My leather jacket still smells like it. I wear it all year around whenever I feel like it and it never fails to amaze me. I've gotten compliments from a variety of ppl. It's still weird to me how well known kenzo is and still no one recognizes this scent. One last thing tho. IT IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. I know this sounds obvious but this is really not for everyone. Even tho ppl like it, I do not think they would buy it that easily. But for me it's one of the best scents ever made.

Finally got my first Kenzo, having read so many polarising views on this. To each their own and long may that be the case. In my case, I love this! Gave it a test run yesterday in 3 degree winter weather and it stood up like a boss lasting a 11 hours on skin(4 sprays). Is it an Aquatic? Not in the stereotypical sense but for me at least it retains around 50% of an aquatic vibe that has been infused with leather and fruit, which also don't feature prominently. The result is sooooo unique! But more so, I think I could rock this pretty much anywhere such is the versatility. This just ticks so many boxes in terms of longevity, scent, price and uniqueness. There's really not many colognes that can do that and garner compliments the way this does. That wont be the case for everyone, so get a sample and try it out. Thank you Monsieur Bisch! 9/10

My bottle just came, also received 10ml of the EdP Intense and... the Intense reactions around me: pickled jar with dill ... mine were "wow this is really Intense"... Now back to the EdP by Quentin Bisch, it is great! Original composition, very... niche alike. Meaning it will be polarizing to certain groups. Yes, it is well done, sweet but not candy like sweet JPG Scandal for example... more into a manly sweet alike. Dark yes, but what I find interesting... all the reviews stating 12hrs and "beast mode" don't apply to my bottle.. I get around 12 hrs yes but as a skin scent and lasts on clothes 24hrs again with no projection... It is nice e but I wouldn't recommend to trust the "beast" reviews as it does last and project less than you would believe. Best way is to... try it. I like it, it's mainly and different in best ways. 8/10

For a marine note lover it is incredibly good. I agree with people who say that it smells like a cold ocean at night, it really does smell like that to me. It is different from the usual fresh watery scents, more dark and mature I'd say, that leather note kinda scared me since I'm not a fan of it in fragrances, but it was not what I expected, very light and smooth leather that is accompanied with patchouli, just gives that manly cosiness to that cold and unexpected ocean. Be careful with sprays since it is powerful and lasts for eternity on my skin, I once put it on my hand mid day, showered, went to sleep, woke up next morning and it was still there, very light scent but still there! Not a safe blind buy by any means, I blind bought it and had to think about for a whole day before I started REALLY liking it hahaha

There is a reason why curlyscents calls this her favorite/sexiest fragrance on men. True masterpiece in the midst of designer stuff. Darker fresh masculine fragrance. You could wear this any time of the year, its that strong aswell. More of an evening out fragrance. You can wear this with anything, suit and tie or just white t-shirt + jeans. It is def made for bit older audience, but would say you can buy this in your 20s. I personally used this when going out with people to dinner. Do not spray too much, 2 is already more than enough. also DO NOT blind buy XD, but you will find this in most department stores for testing. Try it on your skin, not the tester strips, IT MATTERS. The other kenzo homme frags are also very good, well done kenzo!

This perfume is a hidden gem. I've never smelled it on anyone. Only one of my friends has heard the name "Kenzo". Absolutely unique perfume, which I really love. Perfect for summer, but I wore it in winter too. Best value ever. Long lasting, projects very well, almost till the end... As time goes by the scent gets better and better until it fades, which takes 9-11 hours on skin. It's crazy. It's more, around 12-14 hours on clothes. What I feel: Patchouli, akigalawood, a very little fig or watermelon, and light leather, which gets highlighted during the dry-down. What I really feel: The cold ocean on a cool summer evening. I almost can hear the murmur of the waves. Great, some sand got into my shoe.

Outside of other Bisch creations there are not many alike smells. Salt, suede, sandalwood, iris?, dark berries, calone, fig, coconut, “patchouli” (akigalawood), slightly incense-y amber, and a hint of seaweed. There is a subtle sweetness to it but it’s by no means a “sweet” scent, the fruity aspect is very toned down compared to the salty, leathery core, in fact, sometimes it can be almost briney. Think of it as the Santal 33 of marine scents. Projection and longevity are solid—I catch whiffs of it throughout the day. It seems more responsive to movement than body heat, and it wears in a relatively linear way, which I don’t mind. I’m very drawn to it, though I can imagine it won’t be for everyone.

***Update since May 2025 on Batchcode 4B01 1 Year 8 Months, 17 Days*** This fragrance ya'll! Woah! It really is NUCLEAR! With just 2 sprays it projects strongly and lasts like 10 hours on skin! I get gorgeous, slight' powdery aquatics, woods and the powerful, yet clean Patchouli with just a slight touch of earthiness. Fantastic! Thing is that even after owning it since May of 2025, I get absolutely ZERO "Leather note", unless the leather only adds a bit of nuance ro this amazing scent, It just ain't in here! Nevertheless, and amazing, beautiful and potent fragrance. I truley suggest NO MORE than 3 spritzes and THAT may be over'doing it! (And Im an Over-Sprayer fo sho!) A 9 oitta 10 for me😁

Blind brought this cause it was going for cheap and YouTubers hyped this up saying this projects like crazy so i will share my honest opinion. This is a very fresh sea salty leather perfume very unique from general freshies. Projection is ohk like 2 feet for some hours . Longevity is good like 7 hours plus. On clothes it stays longer maybe i have a newer batch and mine needs maceration. 110 ml value for money . bottle design is very unique. The whole perfume is a glass bottle except the cap which is a let down since it gets loose after some time. I would say tho this is not blind buy safe since its very salt, marine and sea kinda it gives leather at a sea vibes. Very unique tho.

After the tragic Discontinuation of Aqua Di Gio Profumo, I yearned for something that could possibly take profumos place as the new king of Dark mysterious Aquatics and Kenzo homme EDP may just be what I've been looking for in Profumos absence Kenzo homme EDPs Simple but profoundly blended notes of Sea water, patchouli, and leather make for a Stunningly masculine and mysterious scent that evolves every hour you wear it. This has suprisingly Fantastic Silliage and Longevity for an Aquatic as well, on my skin with just two sprays, I get an insane 14 hours with 10 hours of solid arms length Projection Memorability/Uniqueness 12/10 Silliage 10/10 Longevity 10/10 Overall 10/10

Such a fascinating, multilayered scent. But surely, I can't be the only one who gets a very potent allspice note in the opening and into the mid?? It's so dominant. Anyway, to me this EdP opens with a tropical Pina Colada-like vibe, coconut and fig and possibly pineapple. There is a salty, slightly marine note that lingers all the way. Fresh, mineral, different. It dries down to a really lovely patchouli and soft aromatic leather accord. There's a subtle herbal and flowery undertone to that salty leathery vibe. Longevity is really good. Can smell it on my arm the following morning. Projection seems to be medium. I love this. Really unique. May not be for everyone though.

----edit---- Hmm, had this for over 2 weeks now so its had a chance to mature a bit, but Im not yet getting much leather, although I'm sure that the "leather note" adds to the unique composition. Im getting a superb, rrrich Patchouli, crrreamy Sandalwood and slight "Marine notes", but still, it's absolutely AMAZING, quite unique (for an aquatic) and performs like a BEAST! Excellent fragrance which hits WAY above it's $60/$70 price point!, and is BY FAR one of my very best 2024 "Blind-Buys" next to Carolina H. Birds Of Paradise! 9 outta 10, a score I give sparingly in my fragrance collection (and I own -O- plenty). This one's a WINNER, and I absolutely recommended it 😉

Can't wait to sample this. Totally blind bought a 110ml bottle off the many positive reviews. I'm filtering out my cheapie clones slowly as their quality has massively dropped the last while and price has crept up also. Definitely gonna be quality over quantity from now on. Edit... Can confirm Kenzo edp dry down especially is simply divine. It smells like some luxurious dark blue saltwater with manly leather and an earthy patchouli. In the opening everything sort of hits you all at once until the notes settle on your skin but it's never off putting. Very unique and masculine scent profile. Signature scent worthy and all season suitable.

Words cannot describe how much I love this scent. So much more unique and interesting than every other marine scent I’ve tried. I’ve not experienced a fragrance like this that envelopes you in this incredible marine freshness, it’s almost magical to me. The leather and patchouli have been beautifully blended to give it some depth and a bit of warmth. It easily lasts all day and projects strongly, something that 90% of freshies don’t accomplish. Fresh enough for the hottest summer days, deep enough to cut through the cold winters. 10/10, one of my fragrances for life. Quentin Bisch, you’re the 🐐.

Outstanding. A unique, masculine, sexy, aquatic fragrance, suitable for year-round use; definitely a signature contender. Incredible performance - both longevity and sillage. After it's matured a bit, it'll - quite honestly - light up a room. However, it wont be for everyone, as evidenced by the unhinged, hyper-emotional (soy?) review below. Edit: 02-27-25 Initial spray of my bottle produced - ironically enough - a faint skin scent. After a couple of days it started to develop significantly into the beast that it is now. Anyway, just to clarify why I mentioned maturation at all.

Oh Man... this is a really well-made fragrance. It opens with a fresh, salty marine scent, and as it develops, the leather note adds depth and character without taking away the freshness. The balance between the two is what makes this fragrance stand out. It feels modern, versatile, and easy to wear in almost any season. Performance is also very good, with solid longevity and a pleasant scent trail. If you enjoy fresh fragrances but want something with a bit more character than the typical blue scent. It is definitely worth trying. A great release from Kenzo. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5

finally received my bottle after a solid month. it was worth the wait and came perfect for spring/summer days. i’m not a guy who usually leaves reviews but this fragrance deserves one! in the opening you get this dark aquatic smell and the leather starts to play a part after the first 5 mins. it gives me this nostalgic fresh ocean dark vibe. imagine spraying a blue fragrance on a leather jacket. very mature but playful if that makes any sense. a fragrance that flys under the radar and deserves more hype if you can get your hands on this definitely do! overall - 9.3/10

A scent you either love or hate. It’s not a classic marine, aquatic “blue” fragrance, and it’s definitely not a crowd-pleaser. It projects very strongly and has a very masculine, serious presence, with zero sweetness. It really shines in warmer temperatures. On skin, it lasts until the next day, on clothes, it can persist for several days. It projects strongly and is very long-lasting. It smells far from playful, more like someone you shouldn’t mess with. Not a safe blind buy. Don’t overspray it, as it can easily become overwhelming for everyone surrouding you.

This was a strong like for me right from the start. I haven't asked others what they think, but even though leather as listed as a main note, I don't perceive it as a leather dominant scent. The leather is, I suppose, blended in such a way that it just thickens the scent, and the rest of the notes give off a vague marine vibe but not one that would instantly make someone think of the beach. Overall, it's a phenomenal, spicy, masculine fragrance that could be worn year-round. Really glad I picked it up. This is worth checking out and gets a "love" from me.

A Top Shelf Masterpiece 🤌 Its a slow burn very much in the phases Bisch constructs the layers of his fragrances. The dry down is addictive in the ways of Ganymede / Bois Impérial but in a blue marine scent Very dry, none of that youthful, "candy ass" sweetness is included in this scent. This is Thomas Shelby "grown men have entered the room now" I wear this only when I'm dressed impeccably. This is the late, great Kobe Bryant GQ Suit type of fragrance, when he was showing up to a close out game in May A perfect fragrance to me 100/100

ahmedrtq below said it best. while a gorgeous versatile fragrance, a little goes a long way. if you're doing more than 2 sprays, do it FAR from your neck. I find this one becomes a bit TOO much if I do more than 1 or 2 sprays just inches from my nose. my spray routine usually consists of one on the back of the neck, one behind each knee. this WILL project and it will last nearly all day. if I decide to spray on my arms, it will be one spray on one arm. I own over 50 fragrances and this is literally the only one I do this with.

This fragrance lasts 24 hours on my skin but is not the type that projects strongly. I would suggest that you use this on summer outdoor nights out. If you wear this lets say 6 sprays on your shirt's left and right inner collar area and two sprays behind your neck you are more than ok for the next 8 hours. As for the scent... It is in the same category with moustache edp in the way that you pay aprox 50 euros for a juice that makes you wander how the hell they make such quality fragrances at that price point. Amazing indeed.

UPDATED REVIEW: Over the last couple of months, I've nearly finished my 60 ml bottle. I've had several compliments over the summer, the performance of my bottle was good, strong projection in the first few hours and lasts the whole day. Super unique aquatic for a good price, you smell like the ocean at night. I was in the club last week and a girl I knew came in for a hug after I sprayed about 8 hours prior? She said I smelled amazing and went in for another hug just so she could get another whiff. Underrated secret weapon.

I bought this over two years ago, and I love it so much... Last week I finally had the chance to test Bois Impérial! It does remind me a lot of this, but it's fresher, smoother, lighter, and airier... Bois Impérial is like a dolphin 🐬 jumping on the surface of the ocean on a sunny calm day, while Kenzo Homme Parfum is like a whale 🐋 swimming, splashing 💦 and smashing through the waves on a rainy, stormy day... It’s definitely the intense, wintery beastly version of Bois Impérial... I love both 💙... both are worth buying.

Id suggest ignoring any reviewer that claims they have smelled hundreds of fragrances and verbatim says "given that it's KENZO" and in the next sentence says "This is the first Kenzo I tried and possibly the last." And continues to promote their perfume reviews on a website. I can't imagine the horrible taste in perfumery or how pathetic reviews must be from someone with that kind of mindset. Actually its pretty embarrassing for someone to call themselves a reviewer all the while leaving the most thoughtless review.

Winner Winner... This one checks all the boxes for me. Unique, Long lasting, Not over $80, and can be worn all year long. Easily signature scent worthy. Best way to describe this one is a Spicy Aquatic that has it's own lane and brings dark and mysterious together with a soothing, upbeat, aromatic vibe that just works so well. Playful enough to pull compliments and mysterious enough to make you stand out. Almost a conundrum but I just keep wanting to smell this scent. Quentin Bisch hit a home run with this one!

It smells truly elegant. It’s versatile enough for both daily wear and formal occasions. I especially enjoy wearing it on summer days and during vacations because of its refreshing marine note. The leather note adds a masculine and evening-appropriate vibe, which I really like. As for its performance it’s simply amazing. I honestly didn’t expect it to last this long, but its longevity is almost eternal, and it doesn’t smell synthetic at all. The sillage is also strong, especially during the first 2–3 hours.

I'm quite big on this one actually, probably going to make it my signature warm weather from now on. I get more leather from this than anything in the opening, maybe some fruit which helps with the freshness, although I personally wouldn't say it's all that fresh overall. If a normal fresh scent reminds you of the sea, this is more like when the tide is out on a hot day. It goes dusty in the dry drown, I really like that. Because it's so leather dominant it isn't bad for nights out either.

Love at first smell. There's something addictive about this and I can't get enough of it. Smells nice and fresh immediately on skin and it mixes beautifully with leather in the background, there's only a touch of soapiness to me but it works here, and as it settles the leather just stays there with some nice powderiness. No pickle brine at all, at least for me. I let it sit for about 2 weeks before spraying and you only need one, maybe two spritzes. I NEED a full bottle of this

It's a nice masculine, dark, oceanic fragrance. It's smooth and long lasting. Projects well too. Feels like walking around an ocean with a leather jacket in night. In my opinion, you can wear it all year around, day and night. A good signature scent if you like this. Patchouli is not too strong to make it hard to like. It's the perfect amount. Price is also good at discounters. Worth the money. If you like dark fragrances, this is a must in your collection.

One of the only fragrances that last a long time on me. I enjoy it through the moon on contrary to some reviews where they can't stand it. I believe it's the sharp and synthetic start that makes most people feel that way, more like a menthol-ish kind of vibe. I personally enjoy it and love the fact that it stays and projects fantastically off my skin. It does smell like Moncler pour homme, if u like scents of that type definitely give it a go.

An absolute underrated masterpiece! Opens with a blast of fruity calone (possibly Calypsone) and soon tones down to a strong patchouli fragrance, I do pick up a lot more notes than those listed. Has that signature Quentin Bisch Akigalawood overdose (which im not complaining about). Kenzo homme EDP to me smells like megamare and Ganymede had a baby! 10/10 for the price. Great lasting power (12 hrs+ on my skin) and projection/sillage too..

This is a lightly spiced suede/ leather fragrance with a DARK BLUE character; it does have an aquatic nuance that’s a bit ozonic and almost inky, which greatly complements the mild sweet essence of the leather, to create something unique, which comes across extremely seductive, masculine, and mysterious. I’d imagine this is what James Bond would smell like if he was sailing in a boat at midnight.

I’ve been using this as a daily driver and it is a very versatile scent. In the heat, the sweet calone and fig shines through. It is very creamy and slightly smoky. In the evening or in cooler weather the leather shines through more and it becomes heavier and darker. It is also slightly metallic to my nose , but this works out here in my tropical and humid country. Totally worth the cash, 8/10

Dark Blue fragrance, very nice smell that is signature scent worthy, smells like you’re in the middle of the ocean at night time under the moonlight Strong performer for a blue fragrance, unique in its own right, this is better than all the other Blues hands down. Like if Dior Sauvage Elixir was converted into a blue fragrance. 10/10 Signature Scent worthy, doesn’t get the credit it deserves.

Very similar to the EDT intense's structure. Performance is approximately the same, which means very strong and projecting. This one has more of a Patchouli/Leather accord and less fruitiness from the calypsone and Fig. The aquatic notes are more vivid, more aromatic and sharp. This is the same "landscape" than the EDT intense, but at night, with stronger rain, higher waves and thunder.

I have been using this perfume since it came out in 2022,, I must say that there is a difference over the years, for example I recently bought 3 bottles from the batch 4B01 and I must say that there is a significant difference in the strength and projection of the perfume, the older batches are definitely much stronger by a large margin! , Are there any other people who agree with me?
