This blend is modern, masculine, powerful, charismatic and super long-lasting. I think the addition of iris "cleans" the composition without moving the scent too far away from the Kenzo Homme line, though most of them are quite unbearable to me. I would swear there is some incense in the background but maybe it might be due to the combination of marine notes and akigala. Also I agree with the link to Santal 33 but I think that mimicking it is not the purpose of this Indigo... in this sense it also would recalls me a more incensed 212 men, for your reference. Definitely, I just think this is the best of the range and the only one I would add to my collection (not having smelled Santal Marin which is quite promising but very hard to find).

Nose Note #1135 I love the note of iris and I think it fits into the Kenzo Homme DNA just perfectly... Such an interesting and brilliant addition to the lineup and works wonderful as a flanker, i.e. it's playing along the same lines. Feels much less "marine" than the original. Feels sandalwoody, definately leathery. And a lot of beautiful iris. I'm quite surprised the ratings are rather low - 3.97 (as of August 2026). And it does have a subtle Bisch touch. Everything he does has like a watermark on it. I'd say this is definately not very fitting for summer. All other seasons - yes. It's a draw between this and Santal Marin, both are wonderful. But if you love strong a iris note - this one hits home. 8/10

i like this SO much. on first spray there is a nice hit of sea and iris - the iris does vanish almost immediately which is a shame, but i could still catch whiffs of the ocean on my clothes as the day went on. but god that leather. it's so heavy! very masculine and grounded, with the note much clearer on skin. the leathery scent lasts for hours, and then it dries down into a gentle woodiness. overall i'm happy with its performance and how the perfume changes throughout the day the bottle cap is a little frustrating, no solid click and it is quite loose. but i love the frosted glass and it feels really secure in the hand. another banger from kenzo!

I brought it for my brother and oh I’m telling you this thing is leaving a trail.I got a visit from my brother this morning, he left very briefly. and then later on this evening my mum comes to say hi and tells me was your brother here today couse I could smell his perfume in the elevator. This thing is so smooth and so tempting. I steal a spray from him from time to time and really it never leaves you until you take a shower. I would as a girl rather wear Santal 33 but still this leather mmmm .. 10/10 for me

Being a fan of Kenzo Homme line, I just bought the Indigo flanker blind-buy. Its not bad, but just doesent meet my expectations. I was hoping something as Intense/EDP with a predominant iris note. But the iris is pretty simple, powdery and very light. After a few hours remains just the specific Kenzo Homme DNA. Good performances, about 10 hours, but the projection is weaker than Intense and EDP, even than Marine. Overall, just good, nothing special. Its not worth the full retail price that I paid.

Ok this is my first kenzo perfume ever and I’m actually surprised how good and fresh this is, you can literally smell all the notes and has an insane longevity 8/10 hours easy and the sillage can fill the roam actually, it’s like i’m using an amouage perfume or something.. The scent is absloute fresh, neutral and a beast for layering , it’s absolutely leaning male but can be layered for females. Ps: as an iris lover the iris here is marvelously blended 🥵 9/10 no brainer for the price and quality

Another beautiful variation on the original line. Might be redundant if you already own the EDP and Intense but a perfectly safe buy if you like that dna a lot. The iris note here is quite subtle and avoids the lipsticky feeling you get in some other famous designer fragrances, which is actually a plus in my book. Overall a very classy and mature release with good performances that you can wear in any occasions all year round. And a great purchase if you're new to the Kenzo Pour Homme line.

Yes, please! I definitely want my husband wearing this! This perfume is stunning: fresh, elegant, confident and masculine. The iris note is perfectly balanced with marine aroma: it is powdery and floral, but not mild. Leathery aspect is extremely sexy with this combination. I can imagine this scent suits classy man but also modern youth. Obviously it is a perfume which gracefully complements the character. It deserves a chance, really presents one of the Kenzo best!

I have also the EDP one. I love the indigo version much more, thanks to being rounder scent profile and soft iris take. So I find it is easier wear. The EDP gives more "punch", so suits for anyone care much about projection. Indigo is like slightly more introvert little brother of Homme EDP. That's why after testing it for like 5 times, I decided to buy it even though I already have Homme EDP. Redundant in good way.

Excellent summer fragrance. Clean, fresh, and peppery, with a fantastic drydown. The longevity is outstanding—it lasts forever on clothes and easily 10+ hours on skin. Projection is also very good. One thing to watch out for, though: the plastic cap comes off quite easily. In my case, it caused an almost full bottle to fall and break. Unfortunately!

Best of the line. This Indigo is what niche smells like, designer packed. Impressive, as it is 100% unique. I guarantee that nobody around you will smell the same, it is not a "compliment getter" more like a MOOD setter. That's why this is amazing. Plus, on my skin it sticks for 12hrs. I can feel it after a shower... It's a 10/10 to me.

performance rating on this must be a joke or people goes noseblind.After 20hours the next day i wore another fragrance and i. clearly could smell the kenzo from my neck.It is nuclear both in projection and longevity.Deep dry iris with leather its a class in a bottle,it requires an aquired taste ,not for everyone but it is a masterpiece

Dont think at Dior Homme or Gentleman iris. Nothing lipsticky here. Very dry indeed, for me its smell somehow like a high quality paper. The least sweet from the line, very good performances.

Iris, water, clean non- bitter leather. Just incredible. Very sweet and airy with a floral cardboard-ey/paper vibe. Layer this with Zara White Evening.

Kenzo Homme Indigo is a vegetal, aquatic, marine, and woody fragrance. At first, it shows one of the many facets of how the iris note can be handled. In this fragrance, the scent of the iris is similar to that of a cooked carrot, with a slightly earthy and vegetal aroma, not powdery like other fragrances. This phase lasts a maximum of 10 minutes, and then begins to reveal the familiar aquatic/marine DNA of the Kenzo Homme line, where it already smells similar to other fragrances in this line. From then on, the scent doesn't change much; however, after about 3 hours, accompanying the already familiar DNA, a woody base of sandalwood and, to a lesser extent, a leather note emerge. I find this fragrance suitable for use on trips to the beach, outdoor activities, casual occasions, and mainly during the day, although perhaps at night in the summer it could also be used. Its longevity on me was almost 8 hours with a regular sillage. It may seem like a redundant purchase if you already have another fragrance from the Kenzo Homme line, but if you don't, this one seems like a very good option to add the iris and leather notes to an aquatic/marine scent.

Try this today. Great opening with sea note and a smoth less powdery íris, very well blended. After some minutes i start to feel the Leather Accord . I think the leather moves in a different direction of the Kenzo edp version . In my opinion the leather is similar to the leather accord in TF ombre leather but mixed with the sea notes . Personally I would like the Iris to stay more time but it fades away too quickly. In the dry down the leather stays and stays, with the subtle and salty sea note in the background and some akigawood/Patchouli in the background. Not so present as in the edp version. I prefer this version to the edp, because after first impression is better blended and more mature . But I think is redundant to have both versions . The performance is very similar to the edp and a bit weaker than the edt intense IMO. On my Skin: Top notes Sea notes Iris Middle: Sea notes Leather Base: Leather Patchouli

Kenzo Homme Indigo EDP with a powdery iris opening. Took a while for me to appreciate this one. Even though it's not my favorite flanker in the line it's still leaps and bounds over the OG. The only downfall to this one is the product availability. Much like Santal Marin. Price Point 6/10 (Harder to find from reputable discounters.) Performance 10/10 Projection 8/10 (Not as strong as the other flankers, but it's still an above-average performer. 1-2hrs) Longevity 10/10 (9-10hrs) If you happen to give this one a smell you might find yourself getting a backup. Enjoy

Ok wtf, how is this cheap ass kenzo perfume performing better than niche fragrances, might not be my favorite smell, but this shit I have to scrape off my skin for the smell to go away, I’ll give it that, would wear it in summer as a signature if I lived by the beach for sure tho, would smell good for the whole beach day, definitely recommend if you want a long lasting marine scent with leather, this has montale type of performance sillage is at arms length but it’s really potent, best way I can explain it, heavy on the iris aswell

I've been wearing this a lot this summer. A summer leather. To me this is dry, salty, mineralic, with a pock-faced texture, like a volcanic rock by the sea side. Very similar to the EDP, and others. The juxtaposition of dry leather with salty sea notes is an interesting one. Can be found for great value. A bit ashamed of owning the tacky bottle though but hey.

Kenzo Homme Intense EDT + Iris. I get what you're putting down, Quentin, but I'm not _too_ thrilled about it. It's still lovely, don't get me wrong, but l don't think the iris works here - it doesn't feel armonious but at the same time I am a mark for some powder in my no- no wait not like that Same performance and sillage as the EDT.

I like it, but it has a lot of overlap with its predecessors in the Kenzo Homme line. Performs well, just like the others. If you don't have one (Indigo, EDP, Marine, Intense), just pick whichever is cheapest and pull the trigger. They're all good. Note: Do NOT pick these up by the cap... You've been warned.

Opens up like a freshly cut cucumber, but don’t let that fool you, the dry down is absolutely amazing, sweet smoky irisy scent that is pleasant to the nose

Finally I found it and tried it .✨️ Actually , I have mixed feelings 😐 , I do liked it 🙂 , but it was less than expected . When I saw the Iris with Marine and Leather notes , I thought it will be a game changer . Unfortunately , the Iris here is not prominent , only visible in the first 20 minutes , and then barely noticeable . The Marine also not prominent , it is like playing in the background . So , I can confidently say it that this fragrance is all about Leather , it is the most noticeable note , and it is like pure , sharp and dry leather . Surprisingly , the smell was familiar to me , and after squeezing my memory , I remembered that it has a huge similarity with ( Montblanc Extreme Leather ) , it is like 80% identical . Until now , I still prefer Kenzo Homme Eau De Parfum out of the line , it is more versatile . And this Kenzo Homme Indigo will be the second one out of the line , I really like it even if it was less than expected . It is deserves to be in my collection . The bottle also is the best out of the line . The longevity is very good , and the sillage very good. Price is also very good comparing to the scent and the quality .

In my opinion, it’s okay. It opens with a mineral and metallic oil slick profile. The Iris doesn’t really show through and that’s why I bought it as I love Iris focused perfumes. Unfortunately, this isn’t the case here. After the initial burst, the perfume settles into an oceanic profile with the oil slick still lingering for the life of the scent. It’s a pleasant fragrance but it’s more suited to those who enjoy daring scents. Otherwise, it’s not a typical safe buy. I’ll occasionally reach out to it when I’m feeling a bit radical.

It has the same leather/marine dna as the other Kenzo Homme perfumes : EDT & EDP but with an added, kind of iris note. The iris isn't buttery, smooth or lipsticky but more of an powdery, earthy, orris root, carrot kind of smell...weird Personally I dont like it, i will stick to the EDP.

Pretty average. Mediocre actually. A strong powdery iris on the opening with the fresh salty DNA of the EDT Intense. As it dries down, the iris dissipate and you'll get only the sandalwood marine vibe of the predecessors. I stick with the EDT Intense and the OG from the 90s.

Was very excited to try this but idk. Very sparkly and slightly annoying “fizzy” kenzo homme EDT vibe. That’s all I get. EDP still my favorite from the line, really wanted to like this.

I am not a fan of this one. It doesn't smell bad, but there's something in it that just doesn't work well with me. Performance is very good.

Feels very pleasant and refreshing at first, but somehow becomes too overwhelming and chemical after wearing it for more than an hour.

smells like washed rice water . the akigalawood combines with iris and sea makes the scent a resinous starchy dry rice texture

I quite enjoy Kenzo Homme (2022) EDP. It's marine freshness along with the patchouli and gentle leather accent makes it a DNA easy to recognize and easy to like, still to this day being one of my favorite aquatics despite not quite liking the genre overall. That fragrance was perfumed by Quentin Bisch - a well-known name in the industry without much need of an introduction. However, equally unneeded of an introduction is his rather recent love affair with akigalawood. And I hate akigalawood. It's just such a boring, bland, lazy note that has been implemented more and more in new fragrance, even on the niche realm. And unfortunately for the Kenzo Homme lineup, one of the newest entires, Kenzo Homme Indigo, falls victim too. The core DNA is still clearly there. Opens immediately aquatic (or marine, if you wish), with that breezy freshness and salty attribute. However, right from the start, it is notably more synthetic than it was on Kenzo Homme (2022) EDP, even if not as strong as on the latter. The patchouli, which is lacking here, did also make things a little more rough and "dirty" so to say with the EDP, while Indigo takes a much smoother approach by implementing some iris for a powdery accent. However, it also comes off as slightly rubbery and industrial-ish; nothing really smells natural, that's certain. The aquatic touch seems to degrade faster than on the EDP too, leaving plenty of room for the infamous akigalawood to play. And sure enough, it doesn't waste time to introduce itself, with its recognizable cleanliness and extremely airy and faint "woodiness". It's so stale, and it also massively contributes with the synthetic accord which is by no means what I want to see. The leather, as soft as expected, comes off as velvety and fairly "transparent", but it is still there, to some extent. Overall, we seriously didn't need this flanker, or at least the inclusion of akigalaslop in it. Haven't you had enough by now, Quentin? In turn, the synthetic structure led by the akigala does result in pretty good longevity, at least for me, reaching 12 hours. Projection not nearly as good, at least outside the first hour, which as many designers alike, pack that opening punch and die out soon afterwards. Kenzo Homme Indigo equally didn't offer much after the first 1-2 hours in terms of pushing power. But it does offer plenty for its versatility test. Not that Kenzo Homme (2022) EDP wasn't versatile, but Kenzo Homme Indigo is evidently softened and smoothened to appear "friendlier", but along that process, character was also swiped off and synthetic crap was amplified. Anyways, it's an aquatic freshie, mildly powdery, so leisure wear in the summer fits it best. Suit events or statement mode: on contexts would benefit of something else entirely. It's quite simple from my point of view: just go with Kenzo Homme (2022) EDP. It's better from largely every point of view. Maybe not as smooth, but it makes up for it by not basking in the akigalawood sea, nor shying away from delivering more intense marine and patchouli accords. With Kenzo Homme Indigo? All made cuter, less mature. Maybe that's good for boosting the sales up, which is in the end all that matters to the majority of brands. To the average consumer, it won't matter too as long as it smells "nice". But to anyone who dived deeper into the hobby, all this akigalawood obsession of Quentin's and his popularization of it is further dragging behind compositions, both in the designer realm and in niche camp, and limiting options furthermore to those who appreciate a fragrance with a distinct character. Welp, not that I'm shocked, anyways. Presentation: 6/10 Scent: 5.5/10 Longevity: 10/10 Projection: 4/10 Versatility: 9/10 Value for Money: 4/10 Overall: 6.4/10

I love fragrances for more than the mere opportunity to smell nice on occaison .. but i am fairly new to the hobby .. my nose has been around by now but .. for one i can confidently say that i don't enjoy leather at ALL! .. with that disclaimer out the way i think leather has no business being in a marine scent .. and not because i dont think the sea and suits don't match .. maybe on a luxury cruise somewhere they do .. but it's just such a stark contrast .. and i don't know if it lacks complexity to push it down the niche avenue of pleasant unfamiliarity .. to me it's too simple and strange .. it's literally just your run of the mill marine layered with leather .. and i smell no iris. Maybe i'm not sophisticated enough .. but i couldn't discover the olfactory appeal in neither the idea or the execution of it .. but give it a go .. maybe it's just my distaste for leather .. i always find it cloying and nauseating .. but usually in sweeter scents it is rounded out and somewhat tamed .. but here it cut through the marine-ness and was more obnoxious than ever to me .. but like i said take my words with a grain of salt .. and never let a review dissuade you from an olfactory experience .. sample it and if you like it .. you do and if you don't .. you've experienced something new.

Dior set the bar with iris in men's fragrances with the Homme line. Their all-occasion, all-season masterpiece, IMO, being Dior Homme Eau (RIP). You can ease the introduction of iris with a high-end citrus note as Dior does (i.e. not like the pissy lemon in Chanel's pour Monsieur), and you can reinforce iris with something a bit more viscous, like amber, incense, or sandalwood. This is apparently the winning formula, and I hadn't smelt other formulas that are as compelling. In Kenzo Homme Indigo, iris is more a garnish, but a prominent one - not the core like it is in the old Diors. Think the slice of orange or lime served in beers like Blue Moon or Corona. It's not a well-planned marriage, but it's a relationship that works better than you expect, and you soon grow to prefer it this way. Replacing citrus with oceanic notes more or less works. The listed wood & leather notes act as accents to a typical fresh, aquatic accord than they are pillars in leather or wood fragrances. All together I get something like 70% Dior Homme Eau, 30% Creed Millesime Imperial, at a slightly lower level of craftsmanship than those two. Those looking for the best of the best, highest quality oils probably will not be satisfied. But as far as what's in department stores, at this price tier, that doesn't have that tonka bean stench that most young people seem to love, this is an excellent pick. Dior Homme Eau's sadly discontinued, Dior Homme I find too sweet for all-weather, and Dior Homme Cologne I find too powdery. Given that, I'm happy to find a suitable successor in Kenzo for nearly all climates. EDIT: I'm realizing that I like this for its unique, aquatic leather drydown, a bit softer & smoother than the EDP. Like a more aquatic, lighter version of Serge Lutens Daim Blond. For those that like leather but don't want it to be the defining characteristic of their perfume, highly recommend giving this a try

So I own the EDTI & EDT. Was so curious about the MARINE, then I sampled it. Not so satisfied about it. Also have sampled the EDP. Having tried those 4, and reading some comments below about the INDIGO, I kind of understand the dissappointment about it to some people. I think it's because the SLIGHT DIFFERENCE from the flankers, which I think out of the EDT INTENSE that came out first and was being a bit pf surprise to some because of its uniqueness. Then after it, KENZO released the EDT, EDP, then MARINE, in which the community then found out that KENZO only make slight differences in each variant. For me, the slight difference can be good, specially if you like one certain scent-dna, but only want slight different scent for a different occassion. That's why I'm cancelling purchasing the MARINE because after sampling it, it differs just slighlty from the EDTI. Now that I'm curious about this INDIGO, yet a bit hesitate to buy a full bottle. I think sampling is a good idea, especially because I don't like IRIS. Still, the EDT Intense is my favourite.

Got to try it yesterday in a store. On opening it's a blast of powdery iris, it reminded me of the older batches of Dior Homme, without smelling like DH. It's that kind of woody-iris. It dissipates within a couple minutes and dries down to the heart of your known Intense EDT (salty, marine) where the base gets closer to the EDP (resinous). Unfortunately, with both I get nose-blind very quickly and so do I with this one. If I would not know this, I would have written that the drydown smells bad and 'incomplete', but I know its due to olfactory fatigue. Like with most flankers in general, it smells very similar to earlier releases (Intense EDT and the EDP), but if you're a fan of iris and of the EDT, then it still might be an interesting fragrance in your collection. I will consider getting it some day, but will try it a couple more times first. For what's worth, my wife didn't like it at all. Nor does she like the EDT Intense, which is in my top 5 :')

I was excited to try the new Kenzo Homme Indigo this year, but... it doesn’t feel all that different from Kenzo Homme Intense or Kenzo Homme EDP. It carries the same fresh aquatic DNA, with a bit more wood, but nothing that truly sets it apart. While I was hoping for something more unique, this feels like a slight variation rather than a bold new direction. On the plus side, longevity is nearly eternal—this stuff sticks around. However, if you’re sensitive to aldehydes, be warned: they come through strong and might give you a headache. Overall, a little disappointing. Kenzo has released more interesting scents in the past, and this one doesn’t quite capture that same uniqueness. Kenzo also released Kenzo Homme Marine in 2024, which leaned more into oceanic marine notes, but it was still in the same boat—somewhat new, but not particularly groundbreaking.

This is why I love blind buying. If you had to try this based on an opening of a tester strip with a salesperson rushing you, you are very likely to skip over it. My first impression was a synthetic mess where if I didnt look at the notes/accords, I couldn't tell you what is going on here. Something vegetal green with a tiny bit of leather maybe? Anyway, let this settle for a handful of minutes and this turns into this complex fresh, leathery, iris that smells luxurious out in the air. Was torn between this and the EDP because I knew either would bring something new to my 35 bottle collection, ended up going for this for the better value for a 110 ML and it's definitely unique but not difficult to wear
