Kenzo Homme Marine

This is the fragrance I was most excited to test this year for because Kenzo Homme Eau de Toilette Intense is one of my favorite perfume (top 3 easily), very unique and my most complimented, girls love this one. So I've been trying the new Marine for a few days now, and I have to admit I find it pretty good! Overall, this is a toned down version of Kenzo Homme EDTI with a twist. It's quite different and close at the same time. The performance of the Intense version is truly amazing, it projects a lot for many hours and the longevity is really nice. The Marine version is much closer to the skin, but still has good longevity (less than the Intense though). In terms of smell, the new one is less 'aggressive': I don't smell any pepper in this one, the wonderful creamy drydown is less present and the fig accord is absent (replaced by ylang-ylang?). I don't know why, but the main fruity smell I get is... a peach accord! Yes, peach!! As if you were on vacation and you were drinking a cocktail with peach syrup. In my opinion, Kenzo Homme EDT Marine is paradoxically less marine than the Intense version (but still gives a seaside/vacation vibe, especially summer holidays). It is completely unisex as I think it would suit a girl perfectly as well as a guy. It is the least dividing of this range because it is softer. In summary, I find this one very pleasant, more than in my first impression. But... the Intense version is still my favorite from the Kenzo Homme collection, because I think it has more character (very unique and distinguable smell, oceanic/fruity and creamy in the drydown, delicious), is more interesting and has a better performance with a very strong projection. Try it on your skin if you can, it's more pleasant than on paper in my opinion. Bottle is really beautiful by the way.

Amazing. Kenzo Homme Marine is truly magnificent in all the aspects. The scent is incredibly well blended and the notes listed are definetely the ones you will smell. This perfume is based on the sandalwood, being creamy-woody but not intense, the sandalwood is the backbone of this Fragrance as it will stay through out the whole wear. The Ylang-Ylang or Yellow floral note will also be there through out the whole wear and will add that delicious sweet-milky yellow aroma to just the right amount. The Marine note will give it this watery feel to the scent, making it smell transparent. Imagine like a water mist feel when you walk through it; that is the smell and feel you will experience combined with the previous notes mencioned. Unbelievable scent profile because of the quality but not groundbreaking or unique, definetely casual and not formal. Fun, fresh, sweet, milky, youthful and diffusive. Wear it whenever you want wherever you want, hot, cold, humid, dry it does not matter because it will smell amazing though at night and for formal occasions there are better options. Many will say that it smells like a Banana milkshake and yeah, I can definetely understand that but this Fragrance is definetely more than that maybe if you Experiment more with it you will appreciate it better. This perfume is for those who are looking for something youthful and sweet with freshness that will most surely be liked by the people around you. Amazing projection, amazing performance, amazing quality, amazing everything. Test before buying as no perfume is worth the Blind buy in my opinion. I hope you fall in love with this perfume as I have and that my Review gives you and idea on what to expect.

Ok it is my first Kenzo and a blind buy, I know I shouldn’t do that but I could not test it locally. This one is a winner for me. It is not your traditional marine, it is different in a good way. To best describe it; it’s a woody floral with a salty note. The ylang-ylang note it is almost identical to Tom Fords Black Orquid EDP one of my favorite if not my favorite fragrance. Ylang-ylang note it is watery, the scent of the inside of a banana peel, with a bit of green tones and just a bit of sweetness. There is this kind of dirty(the ocean after a bad storm) salty water note, a semi creamy sandalwood not very milky well done. It opens floral, watery, salty. The ylang-ylang tones down a bit after 20 minutes there is where the sandalwood starts showing up and takes the stage with a bit of a creamy note. There is this green clean note I also pick up with the sandalwood. The salt note never leaves but it is more noticeable at the opening. I love it; well blended not too on your face but noticeable, a marine without being too marine, the floral makes all the difference. It projects well for the first 1.5 hrs then it just hovers around you for around 7-8hrs before getting close to skin; on skin 12+hrs. Great performance for a summer scent very smooth and chill. I am getting a back up bottle of this one in the future. It is unisex leaning masculine. Projection 7/10 Longevity 8/10 Scent 9/10 Price 9/10

I personally think that people saying that if you have the EDT Intense that this is redundant are wrong. Sure, this is just my personal opinion, but I don't really like the EdT Intense at all, it's not horrible but I just don't like what it smells like, it feels almost sporty, like a sporty young dad-vibe which is not me at all. This one I love though (I also love the EDP), it's so fresh and smells clean, aquatic and works great for late spring/summer. I love that little suntan lotion type vibe that I can feel with this as well. It's weird, I have so many fragrances that I think are better than the Kenzos. None gets me compliments like Kenzo EDP, and the first time I wore this out a stranger complimented me and wanted to know what fragrance it was so he could buy it for himself. Anyway, the biggest complaint I have for this is the fact that I go noseblind with this just a few minutes in, so I have no reference for what it smells like on me or how much I smell which does make me a bit insecure.

Can I just say, how does this fragrance have an EDT concentration? If it was an EDT back in the 2000s, then it would be normal to have a performance like this fragrance. But in this day and age, an EDT fragrance barely performs well, usually. This fragrance? It lasts a whole day on my skin! Maybe it's just my skin that suits this fragrance quite well or it's just that good. But enough about the performance, how about the scent itself? It smells like Kenzo Homme EDT intense, a unique fruity aquatic woody fragrance, but this one is lighter thanks to the ylang-ylang. I prefer this one over any other fragrances in the Kenzo Homme line. But I also have to say that the scent itself is quite polarizing due to the unusual aquatic scent (if compared to other aquatic designer fragrances today), you either hate it or you love it. And if you love the aquatic DNA from the Kenzo Homme line, you should give this one a chance.

Very nice. Simple, minimal, so arguably quite Japanese in its approach and effect. Performs well for a summer fragrance. Longevity is unusually good on my skin. The marine accord is neither excessive nor eggy and the ylang-ylang has what I experience as a kind of soft, creamy or buttery roundness or fullness that nicely sits with or stands up to the marine accord. The overall effect is more marine than floral but the ylang-ylang does predictably hint at suntan lotion and sand. I find the fragrance in all nicely balanced. Obviously there are countless fragrances that do a similar job. This one is not as complicated or, probably, interesting as Beach Hut Man but it does have a comparable tropical-fruit (banana and/or coconut) ripeness and is far less expensive. It's also less quirky and conspicuous, which some users may like. Anyway there's more than one way to skin a cat and I like this a lot.

What an amazing perfume! The notes are indeed simple, openedwith ylang ylang flowers layered with marine notes, then closed with a quite natural woody scent. I live in a country where all these three scents are quite easy to find (the raw), even my uncle thinks that I use real wood to scent my clothes. the floral notes itself are just perfectly executed, very noticeable (btw, ylang-ylang is very easy to find in southeast Asia, thats why i feel familiar with the scent). What made me buy this perfume was its performance, it really has beast longevity (unfortunately not in all conditions), it's suitable for day and night wear, and the average compliment I get is definitely about the woody scent and the longevity of the fragrance. The first spray might make you think that this perfume is for woman, but over time the woody aroma will come out and make this perfume more gentlemanly.

The hate on this fragrance is very unnecessary and force. This is a very nice fresh aquatic slightly sweet, aromatic because of that beautiful Ylang Ylang, slighty salty due to that marine note and when it dries down it’s a smooth creamy sandal woody scent with a little bit of that aquatic left in it. It does resembles a sunscreen like scent, but a high quality one that I don’t mind getting a whiff of. It is also slightly fruity in a way but not banana smelling like the others have said. For an EDT this is very long lasting; about 9+ hours on my skin and 24+ hours on clothes, it also projects quite well for the first 3 hours. Overall, I don’t really see much of a downside for this fragrance especially if you really like fresh fragrances but want a unique take, it’s a very pleasant, cheap scent that most people will enjoy.

On first spray it’s like heating up a bar of white soap and the steam fills the air. After 15 minutes the soapy vibe is still noticeable, but it doesn’t take over the whole fragrance. A creamy warmth with a slight sweetness comes through underneath. Some might call it “sunscreen-like,” but to me the creamy–soapy nuance makes it quite different from a typical sunscreen scent. I had several perfumes on my arm, yet this one kept standing out. Clean, soapy, woody, creamy – I’d place it in the mass-appealing category. Honestly, I don’t get the hate; I think 9 out of 10 people would enjoy this. Some people said this smells like dead fish like? what? not at all. Maybe it’s related to certain skin chemistry, but this fragrance doesn’t give off that vibe in any way.

I sprayed one spray on my arm at the store, and at first neither my girlfriend nor I liked it that much. But after 5–10 minutes, it really turns into one of the cleanest, softest marine scents you can smell. To me, it evokes cleanliness and a vacation in a very unique way. On my skin, the longevity reaches around 8 hours, and the projection is quite good in my opinion. Even at the 6-hour mark, it still gets noticed and pulls compliments. By the way, five days after I tried it, my girlfriend bought it for me as a gift. I’ve since bought my second bottle myself. I’ve never had a summer fragrance that received this many compliments. I’m not even telling people around me its name, just so it can stay a bit exclusive to me :D

Light Blue/Blue fragrance lover here. This fragrance is easily in my top 5. For me, the performance is off the charts. It lasts all day on my skin and clothes without reapplication. I own Kenzo Homme EDP as well, so I had a high bar set for this fragrance (both smell very similar, but different). At first smell, for some mysterious reason to me, the added Ylang-Ylang floral note evoked a strong feeling of nostalgia. Feelings of past summers, vacations, tee times, dates on humid nights, cool spring mornings, and many other things locked away in my memory bank. Ever present, but not fully accessible. Kenzo Homme Marine smells like a coastal breeze through a botanical garden. I highly recommend. 10/10

I have 10 Kenzo bottles, did a blind test and rated this as my nr 2 favorite. The OG L'eau on top. I do like fresh, woody, and aquatic smells, and the Marine was a good addition because it is a nice fresh/woody mix, but with no " typical safe smells" like citrus. So it feels different and bold. It really reminds me of Japanese Onsens, and luxorious stone spa for some reason. Minerals, volcanic, stones, beach, italy, Iceland. It feels Sophisticated and masculine, for sure, but it's totally Unisex on my nose. Reminds me of Aquadisiac, just more mature and refined. It's more cold and evening vibe, not very sweet, in a good way. Probably takes more time to appriciate, but still versatile.

Wow! This is tropical fruit, sweet and creamy with a hint of the sea breeze sparkling in the background. I have drank banana smoothies that smell similar to this. If I was next to the ocean while drinking them, it would smell even more accurate to what you get with this fragrance. Teetering on scented sun lotion here, but I think it makes the cut. Can't imagine this being offensive to anyone! Easily likable enough to be Unisex. Safe blind buy if you enjoy Banana! Much prefer this to the EDT Intense, seems they swapped the spice and harsh woods out of the Intense version and replaced it with this wonderful Ylang-Ylang banana-like note to create this scent.

Please note, that I'm only making this review based on my first impressions, since I've only tried it on but haven't gotten it for myself (yet). After my first impressions it's definitely on my to-buy-list for the next Summer scent! Not strong/irritating, it's very fresh, smooth, creamy and pleasant. I could also say it's nothing special (still very different from those typical citrusy Summer fragrances), though I think that's exactly what makes this one so damn good. If you wanna smell fresh and good during Summer and you're bored of just going with the more common citrus fragrances, this is an amazing option in my opinion.

Para alguien que no haya usado u olido ninguna Kenzo Homme está Marine puede sorprender ya sea para bien o para mal. En mi caso me encanta, sobre todo por las notas del Ylang-Ylang. Sus notas difieren de cualquier perfume de primavera o verano que tengo. Me dura aproximadamente unas 7 horas y tal vez que me quedo corto. La aconsejo bastante, pues sale de la rutina de los perfumes citricos que usamos en primaveras calurosas y verano. Me gusta para hombre y la he aconsejado a amigas a las que las ha encantado y la han llegado a comprar Ojala que no la modifiquen, saludos.

Well...the circle is now complete for me. When my mother gave the og version of Kenzo pour homme, I became an adept of Kenzo ever since, without being disappointed. Now with this new line, I had to collect the bottles. So, the verdict for this new flanker... it's a toned down version of both intense version and the parfum, even though, it's longevity is still huge, therefore it's clean fresh and perfect for summer without annoying anyone. It also gives a beach vibe feeling while wearing, like it's makes me saying, smells summer vacation coming up.

This one smells very similiar to the EDP and EDT Intense, but this has prominent yellow florals that work very well with the composition. They all have some kind of magic spice that makes them phenominal to me. They have the marine vibe, but not in a way that smells fishy or eggy, and all come off as masculine, which I prefer. The three that I have, including this Marine flanker, perform well and are available for excellent prices on discounters. Highly recommended. I think these may be my favorite aquatic / marine scents.

Kenzo Homme Marine is the one I reach for most in the line which I am a big fan of. To my nose, it's the 'brightest' of the line and the least dense. These characteristics may make it more wearable in general, but with this one you will smell unique. It is also quite gorgeous and the ylang-ylang note is what sets it a part. There is something about it that takes me to a sunny beach where is it not too hot, you can hear the tide approach and receed, there is a zephyr and the air smells fresh, clean, and pristine!

Kenzo homme marine EDT is one of the best fragrances for me. If i had to recreate my collection again i would definitely go for it. For me ylang ylang makes a parfume perfect. Its aquatic and flowerish it gives the effect of straight out of cold shower. 10/10 in every way. And its the most underrated fragrance i have ever seen. This is a masterpiece and a beast mode longevity and projection fragrance. Its unique and perfect. It gives a niche parfume quality for a really affordable price. Huge respect to Kenzo.

This is a breath of fresh air! An instant mood booster for those who are tired of citrusy sweet perfumes. A unisex watery floral sunscreen like but without coconut, easy to wear in the scorching heat and unbearable humidity, there’s surprisingly a few that check all those marks and this is one. Longevity is laughable and projection is not bad for few minutes, who cares! If you’re on budget and looking for something similar minus the florals go for ajmal blu.

With first spray - Yes it is Kenzo DNA for sure. It smells very similar to KENZO HOMME EDT Intense - those woody spicy notes are very prominent So this one just gets a good marine wave + a sweet tiny note of Ylang. So it is NOT very different or new from Kenzo Homme EDT Intense but even more summery fragrance, more aqua marine bouquet here. Update: This one does not give a headache for some as it may do KENZO HOMME EDT Intense

Kenzo Homme Marine it is quite unique marine scent i would say, at first out of the bottle i'm like what the hell smell is this.. it opens with synthetic sea notes, but by the time i wore, now i can appreciate the scents. and i'm pretty sure there is slightly hint of "Akigalawood" in the drydown but it's not potent as Le Sel d'Issey Miyake EDT 9/10 for Kenzo Homme Marine 10/10 for Le Sel d'Issey Miyake EDT

For lovers of JPG Paradise Garden! It opens with Fresh marine, salty, almost light citrus notes. Which are very quickly enveloped by the tropical, floral and fruity aspect of the Ylang. As it dries down, the sandalwood comes out, paired with a sweet, creamy musk, keeping it in this unisex, slightly masculine vibe. Longevity is insane. Price is right around $45/$50. A tropical summer signature scent!

OK so this after i sprayed in store it felt too flowery i skipped and was searching for something ellse. But after some moment i checked the drydown and I WAS BLOWN. The floral settled in the background with woody aquatic note in front with a beautiful blend of the ylang ylang. Projection also very nice tho for me longetivity is a bit less but projection was there till the last minute.

This is a masterpiece again. The bottle is really nice, I love this colour. The scent in itself is a unique such as the intense version. This is very similar, but easier and a bit more sweeter with less fig accords.Maybe it's my skin character but I can not smell it on myself after 2 hours. Next summer I will buy it, this is sure. Now I enjoy my brand new Intense.

This is fantastic and pretty underated, I feel. The dry down reminds me so much of something from the Le Beau line with the opening being banana instead of coconut. It's just as compliment getting and performance is just as good. If I was told this was a banana flanker of Le Beau without seeing the bottle, I would have definitely believed it.

Love both Intense and Marine.I realy don’t know how they works but I get a lot of compliments from people(specially female) around me. Now I want to try EDP version and probably get full collection of 3. Long lasting with smooth sillage.Just perfect for the summer time if you are looking for something unique. 10/10 masterpiece❤️

This is my first purchase from Kenzo and won’t be the last! Can’t find it anywhere in the uk but got it from the airport - salty, summer in a bottle! So far projection and longevity good - sprayed 4 hours ago and still going strong. This is a BIG LIKE bordering on love for me!!

Very oceanic in an airy way. The ylang ylang is more floral than sunscreen, however there is still a touch of sunscreen with a woody base. This is the more masculine take of Mancera French Riveria, and more oceanic than it as well. I like French Riveria but this is better IMO.

My absolute favourite from the Kenzo line, including the new flanker. The Ylang-Ylang coupled with the marine notes is a real winner. Sillage and longevity is really good. This is an EDT, but lasts longer than most EDP's that I have. Don't hesitate to buy Kenzo Marine.

Really close to the EDT intense. The lacking note in the notes list is Ylang Ylang. This is globally the EDT intense with a saltier accord and a slight sun lotion vibe. Globally a good release, a shame that the floral-salty accord is not more pushed up front.

This is such a sexy gem...I love smelling this on a guy's skin...Kenzo is an underrated house throw in the mastermind like Bisch and you have a winning combo. I blind bought it for someone with zero regrets....addicting, masculine, sexy and beastmode. Love.

Daaaamn that’s good! I’ve been looking for this scent forever and knew Kenzo wouldn’t disappoint me. Just bought it and it’s definitely a great summer perfume if you are into marine notes. Not sure about the sillage though but the scent is amazing 🙌🏻

I think it's one of the best summer scents. It's salty and creamy. It's long-lasting and stays with you all day. It makes me feel like I'm drinking banana milk by the sea. I can't understand why this perfume is so underrated.

the family is that of kenzo homme intense and parfum but much lighter and wearable. pleasant, fresh and really summery. It really smells like the sea more than other more famous perfumes. excellent performances. vote 9/10

I would say there is coconut water in here over sea water! With touches of fruit and flowers, feels a little more Tiare over Ylang. I am going to interpret the name as I would wear it to the beach.

Is there Anyone who can find similarities with the 'Le beau' series and Mandarina duck 'Vida loca'? I think It has same creamy coconut vibe + floral and less sweetness compare to 'Le beau' series.

Just got this today and love it,can’t wait till summer to wear this🌞ps just to add I can’t understand why this fantastic summer fragrance is not getting the love it deserves on all platforms.

This just smells like good time, like all your worries disappear , so slept on in my opinion one of the best high heat fragrances out .Aqva Pour Homme Bvlgari with some florals

47$ for a 110ml bottle of this masterpiece is already a present by itself. Absolutely in love with this one and for sure my every day use fragance in 25°C+ days.

So unique and different in my opinion, fresh, musky, salty, yellow flowery, slightly woody. Definitely one of my favorites and highly underrated
