Nose Note #1134 Extremely similar to Kenzo Homme EDP, but a little sweeter, less "marine" and somewhat smoother. I just like it much better than EDP. Wonderful performance for a freshie (or perhaps "almost freshie"). Sandal has many facets, but here to my nose it's almost like no sandal, at least compared to something like Armani SWY Sandalwood or Le Labo Santal 33. Perhaps it's just that here sandal is very different, I don't know. Kenzo Homme Indigo feels more like a sandal fragrance than this. 8/10

This is awesome but not a blind buy, it opens with floral (mid) and santal (strong) and it remains for like 2 hours then the santal (sandal) notes goes down and remains a beautiful floral-wood frangance with a very clean smell. It last a lot, I sprayed 2 times on my arm and 15 hours later already I can still smell it on my skin.

A smoky/floral take on the classic Kenzo Homme dark aquatic style. To those who have tried this line before, you probably know what to expect, but I don't think it's redundant. Lighter and more versatile than the EDP. If you like the Kenzo Homme line then snap it up because it's supposedly a limited edition.

Literally this scent has a nuclear performance, more than 12 hours of longevity the only matters is the whole line end up to the same DNA, anyway if anyone likes this line then go for Santal Marine, the most versatile of the whole line imo.

Finally the DNA perfected. I have to say now that this is the best one of the 4, closely followed by Intense and the EDP. This anchors the DNA very well, smoothes out the edges and makes it very versatile.

An intriguing, modern aquatic-woody fragrance. Kenzo Homme Santal Marin opens up with a gentle, salty marine accord. Once the first fresh burst subsides, a creamy sandalwood note emerges, which grounds the fragrance quite nicely. Simultaneously guaiac wood creates a smoky, slightly bitter edge around the sandalwood note. Lavender is listed as a note, but can only be perceived as a distant whisper in my opinion. The interplay of aquatic freshness and smoky, bitter milky-creamy woods is quite stunning, but might not appeal to everyone. At first sniff it could come off smelling odd, which I personally appreciate. Giving the fragrance time and multiple wears is kindly recommended. ;) Once Kenzo Homme Santal Marin dries down it can easily be appreciated by everyone, all notes come together harmoniously and smell very pleasant with the distinct Kenzo Homme DNA humming in the background. Do test it out! :)

I was able to snap up a tester bottle of this here in the states, for a great price. I don't have the EDT Intense, but this very similar to the Kenzo Homme EDP, has smoky woods instead of the leather. While being lighter of course do to the concentration, but pretty weak even by EDT standards might be down to the 97% ingredients of natural origin. I'm a fan of the Kezno Homme DNA, so this was a easy buy for me. Although if this your first Kenzo Homme purchase I would probably stick with the EDP (2022) or Marine.

somewhere between intense and marine, i think it may be the best one for the ones like me who think ,marine is too floral or intense is too "niche" like

I just got a sample of this and while I'm still testing it out, I'll say that IMO Fragrantica should separate the recent "Kenzo Homme" releases in the plastic bamboo bottles from the original "Kenzo Pour Homme" line. These new fragrances are all pretty similar (with the exception of the Eau de Toilette, which is a re-imagining of the original KPH) while everything in the old bottle style has been discontinued. I think doing this would cause less confusion.

I tried so hard to like the Kenzo Homme series and tried all the flankers, but in the end I realized that I don't like the salty scent. The only product I found usable was "Marine," but it felt too young. I think those who like salt and sea notes will love this series. It's very different and beautifully blended, but it makes me nauseous.

Unfortunately, it smells similar to this whole Homme line, and I don't like that too much - except the EdT with a different DNA, very similar to the original 1991 pour Homme version, which I love. Edit: Maybe it takes time... I already grew to like (and bought) Indigo.

Looking forward to this one, especially with that smoky aspect to it. Let's hope the hype doesn't get to this one & the prices go up dramatically like they did with the EDP & Marine.

Fragrance Review: First thoughts, this is an oud dominated scent mixed with Kenzo Homme DNA. - Kenzo Santal Marin starts with a strong dose of oud and woody/earthy scent. It has very little sea notes or lavender in the opening, if not none at all. - I sprayed a total of 5 times. Twice behind each ear, twice on the front of neck, and once in front of my chest. The longevity is okay, it lasts approximately 8 hours on my skin, projects for about an arms length for 2 hour before turning into a skin scent. It does however lasts a few days on my clothes. (Depends on skin types) Overall Rating (8,5/10) I don't hate nor like this fragrance, it's not something I would wear as oud/woody fragrances isn't a combination I enjoy smelling. But if you're a fan of Oud/Woody notes, and you're a fan of Kenzo, then this might be the perfect combination for you.

First impression after three royal sprays on the back of my hand at 32 degrees Celsius: Santal Marin is what I expected, a mix of Kenzo Intense EDT (blue bottle) and the EDP (black bottle), but more of the latter. I’m one hour in and I hardly smell it anymore. I have the same experience w the EDP which I’m not so fond of. I love the EDT Intense. I might try it again some other time, but for now a bit underwhelming :(

I get a lot of sandalwood aroma chemicals with salicylates supporting lactones I think its methyl laitone to give that cramy sweet extended deep touch, with an fougerish aquatic spicy calone cascalone patchouli amberwoody vibe its a brilliant perfume stays for ever! 8/10

Wow another one, can’t wait to try this! I just purchased Marine flanker this week thinking it was the new one and now another! I want it. Own and loved the first three. So didn’t mind blind buying and will for this one too
