KenzoKi Rice Steam (Sensual)

Mixed bag here. If you are looking for a rice "soliflore" after falling in love with the note? This is not your holy grail (edit: Poesie Soft - you're welcome). That is a woefully incomplete notes list (or lack therof) and you will be dissapointed. (as I was with my most expensive blind buy ever) BUT, it is quite lovely, it is soft, very light florals (possibly lotus and just a touch of orange blossom?), a bit lotion-creamy, the rice is definitely there and very nice. Would make a wonderful daily scent for someone in a health care field or other profession that requires a very discrete and comforting scent only. I would not say it is a smell alike to Arden Beauty, but take away the rhubarb and dial the whole thing back a bit and you have a pretty good idea of this.

I have the newer bottle of this. I believe both versions are discontinued (in the US, anyway), and I’m not sure if the bottle change also meant a reformulation. Either way, I do really like this scent. It was a blind buy years ago, and I almost swapped it away. It’s very simple. It’s a lactonic rice note with perhaps the most subtle floral in the background. However, it did grow on me and I’m glad to have it. It’s very calming and smells a bit like skin, with does give it just a hint of “sensual” vibes - but it’s incredibly subdued. Imagine you put on a fragranced lotion before bed. This is your skin when you wake up. Very beautifully done.

Absolutely amazing in its simplicity. There's got to be something magical about it, every time i'm in a shop i keep coming back to this lovely water. Shame they don't have an EDP/EDT for this.

Its aromatherapy effect is sensual and relaxing, I LOVE it! Such an interesting interpretation of rice, it suits a very refined, sophisticated and self-confident woman who could seduce a man with her light, delicate but sensual scent or simply wants to smell airy and natural. What comes to my mind when I smell Kenzoki Sensual Rice Steam? Alluring peace and quiet, and sensuality on the horizon...

I was delighted by the smell and then suddenly became totally indifferent, what bothers me is the powdery note, aromatic and lasts quite long on the skin. I like the Kenzoki line of products, especially cream for the body. Ginger is the best, imo, refreshing and pleasant for summer.

Very soft powdery bedtime scent

I bought this from Kenzo website, when it was released. It was purchased based on the notes. For reference, fragrances on my skin usually wears true to notes described. To my disappointment, the soft lactonic note last about five minutes on my skin., then transitions to a unisex skin scent. I gave it a couple more chances during different seasons, same result. When I decide to downsize my collection, it would go. I think it could be quite nice on a man.

Totally uninteresting. It doesn't even smell like rice. I wouldn't even call it a perfume. Maybe it's an aroma scent, but then again it's weak, flowery, common and not at all what the name suggests.

Even though alot of you aren't writing positive things about this one, I want to try it because Kenzo doesn't really f*ck up when it comes to knowing what smells good. I like powdery scents and the combo with rice intrigues me.
