Le Rouge Flower by Kenzo

it is a good perfume for people with dark features, and a natural body scent. this does not smell strong and intens, but if u are a person that does not need layes of perfume.. this is 4 u. it feels light and is light to wear, therefore I would put on a layer of bodylotion before body oil and then the perfume. good combo.

It's Kenzo signature style reinvented, It's sweet but not cloying, It's an autumn, daytime fragrance. What's great about the recent fragrances by Kenzo is that it contains natural compounds. This one is great.

I loved Flower l'elixir and it would be fantastic if Kenzo decided to release a similar fragrance again. That's what I was actually hoping for. Le Rouge Flower is nice. You have to like rose. I expected the scent to be more gourmand, with a prominent rice note and more vanilla. I mostly smell a somewhat creamy, sweet rose. Maybe I’ll love to wear it in spring.

It's very light and doesn't last too long on the skin. I really enjoyed the rice notes - I thought it was lovely but it's a strange combination with the rose, there's a clash.

From a sample on my skin: First sniff and it smells RED indeed! A hot balsamic fiery red ♥️ I wouldn't describe it as a rose scent, it's very blended. I can't really pick up single notes The rose here is something else. I like it! Nothing like the overdone classic granny pink rose or the Bulgarian rose that I dislike. (And I just sampled the "Si" by G.Armani...these roses I can't stand). The kenzo DNA is toned down, that I really appreciate, because now it smells modern, rather than vintage or just "oh that's kenzo" . It has some spiciness! The drydown is sensual and still "red". Japanese red samurai warrior woman type of vibe ⚔️♥️🇯🇵⛩️Extra credit that it's comprised of 92% ingredients of natural origin! (ISO 16128-1 & ISO 16128-2 standards). Unfortunately not for me, because in the drydown the sandalwood smells like body odor to my nose.... 😭

the amberwoods (ambrever whatever) in the base killed my nose and killed all the other notes for me ... it's a no go for me, and if you are like me, sensitive to that, stay away because it's really headache inducing 😅! Couldn't wash it of, had to scrub my arm like a crazy lady after tasting it... 🤦♀️

This fragrance combines several directions that I usually enjoy, just not all in the same scent. I do appreciate the rice and musk combination in the opening though. Musk is usually a base note that quietly holds the composition together, but here it takes a much more dominant role. At the core is a very sweet vanilla. Really sweet. If the sweetness had been toned down, the fragrance could have been far more enjoyable for me. The official notes list no fruit, but on my skin this reads very much like a fruit–vanilla bomb. The rice note remains on the periphery, while the whole sugary accord takes center stage. Personally, I would have preferred the opposite balance. It’s an interesting construction, but not my style. Too much. Edit: After a week of letting the sample rest on paper, something terribly screechy and rancid came through. Like a synthetic base that is supposed to capture and keep together the entire tornado of directionless notes above. Like synthetic dirt with coffee/vanilla leaning. I haven't noticed it at the beginning (probably because I was so overwhelmed with the whole circus), but it could've contributed to the "too much" energy.

I like it. Feels elegant and mature. I just don’t know if I want to get a bottle of it yet. Will try a samples and update here Update 1: I am trying a sample and it smells like some kind of cosmetic/ salon smell. I can’t exactly say what but it’s definitely there. 45 minutes in and I feel I am in a salon. It’s sweet. Very sweet in fact in a creamy way Update 2: Couldn’t tolerate it after 2 hours got a headache I don’t know why. Anyways I don’t think it’s for me. Feels salon like and if now i have to guess it correctly I would also say it feel like doing facial/ using rice face mask on face. I wouldn’t go for it personally because of the headache and it being too sweet and not in a good way

as someone who is obsessed with the original flower by kenzo i honestly didn’t expect le rouge to feel this different the opening is beautiful though i completely fell in love with it. even without fruity notes listed i get this gorgeous red berry vibe mixed with rose and creamy vanilla. it smells fresh feminine and almost like an expensive floral shower gel at first but after like an hour it changes a lot on my skin. the vanilla dries down into something salty woody and kind of mossy/mineral like and those dry amberwood notes started bothering me a bit. it lost the soft powdery elegance i love in the original flower by kenzo amazing opening disappointing drydown for me

It’s very generic smelling. Like Voce viva, this feels to me like entering the duty free perfume area at the airport. Could be anything, could be everything put together, nothing with great personality, even though the bottle is super pretty. I didn’t get the “new” gourmand they’ve promised, it has been done so many times... it’s not a bad perfume, it’s just like so many others around.

A crimson light radiates from an extremely clean, fluffy, and comfortably powdered rose perfume. It is slightly warm and creamy, a little sweet and fruity, with hints of vanilla. If you want to try a modern, niche-style rose perfume, with a crisp, light, musky soul and a poise feel, you might like it. It has a delicious and super lingering drydown, cosy and sweetly warm.

First impression: there is something in the base that is very synthetic and headache inducing. Will have to retry because I was not getting any of the rice notes I hoped for.

So generic, smells like every perfume at the pharmacy lingering in the air. I love Kenzo so I’m devastated. Nothing like Amour or Flower.
