L'Eau Kenzo Intense pour Femme

Review is for my own reference - I am pleasantly surprised by this scent! The other Kenzo scents I've tried are too floral for me, but this smell like fresh sweet (fruit vs. candy sweet) and peppery to me (not as good as PR Black XS though), and maybe a bit aquatic. The package says this is a Gourmand Floral, which I would agree with, Fragrantica has it as a fruity floral. I think this might be too cloying in the humid summer months, but great for daytime the rest of the year. I think this is a unisex crowd pleaser, a wide range of ages could wear this. Someone mentioned that it smells a bit like walking past a BBW, but in a non- cloying way and I would have to a agree. This would make a nice candle scent too. It is a stronger scent with a decent silage. straight from the sachet its fruity sweet. left on the skin for a bit it smells a bit more floral pepper. Unfortunately, the sample that I got was not in a mini spray bottle, but in a sachet like a moisturizer sample. I wish I could have a bottle to try multiple times. I'm assuming if you sprayed too much you would get a headache. The red apple smells nice in this scent, I wonder if there is a DKNY similar scent? I strongly disagree that this smells like La Vie Est Belle by Lancome. This is less intense and more fresh sweet, where as LVEB is richer and less fresh. It also does not smell Missoni Missoni EDT! I really like it, almost love. but there are other fragrances I want to buy. I would keep if gifted. The price is okay too at about $55 for 100ml on discount sites. I think this would have to be one of my favorite fresh fruity floral smells. Edit: as it's dried down for about an hour it smells a bit smoky and meaty. Maybe that's the earthiness? Not super gross, but not really pleasant for a femme perfume. I don't think I've had a perfume that changed that much on my skin before. Usually, complex scents will go from sickly sweet to a warm caramel sweet. but this went from sweet to smoked wood. Again this makes it lean more unisex. A bit disappointed by the end scent, I wish it stayed sweeter, but it does piqué my interest as a scent. A few more hours have gone by and it smells a bit sweeter and smokey. The smokiness of this scent reminds me of Dior Poison Girl.

This fragrance is kind of underrated in my opinion. It might not be the most refined and grown-up scent, but it's very fun and a bit unusual. I smell mainly patchouli and a sweet, juicy candy apple that makes it different from most other fruitchoulis. It's the kind of perfume I like to wear to fun events like a fair.

love love love! definitely a better update modern sexier versionh of Leau Par which u can still smell in it. the patchpuli gives it the deepness and sensuality. hot!

It smells pleasant and fruity-generic (aka boring) for the first half hour or so, but then it blooms, and smells so irresistibly pretty!! I couldn't stop sniffing myself after, and the scent stayed all day. The 'vibe' I get from this is a cross between Miss Dior Cherie 2005 and original L'eau Par Kenzo. It's sweet, warm and optimistic, but also clean, chic and very feminine. Definitely 'spring-y'! But I would wear it all year round. The patchouli here is clean, and it's not too sweet, so it could work in summer too (maybe not when it's really hot out). I personally didn't get apples right off the bat, just a rich, happiness-inducing fruity-floral with refreshing watery nuances to tame the sweetness...that L'eau Par Kenzo DNA in this scent stops it from veering towards sticky-syrupy territory. A youthful aroma, but not juvenile...for those over 25, yes, it's grown-up enough for the office or general everyday wear for sure. It doesn't really smell like any other fragrance out there, though it might remind you of a few. Sillage is alluring, and longevity is 7 hours +.

For me, this is for people that want Chanel Coco Mademoiselle or Dior Miss Dior to work for them, but can't get pass that sharp strong floral note. This has everything beautiful from the before mentioned, but the sometimes headache inducing sharp floral note is removed. Love it! This seems too heavy for me personally for Summer, but otherwise a year 'round beautiful scent. You really do have to love a designer take on patchouli with this one like Elie Saab La Parfum. And I do!

It's intense floral scent, I can't smell much of an apple. I agree that it does not resemble any of the previous L'eau line. Simply, it is not light! It is rather overpowering. I find it quite strange that this scent was launched in spring. I think that fall would be a lot better time.

i can totally smell the spiciness in it. when i sprayed it for the first time, the spiciness dominates so i’d say it’s better on cold days. it is a floral sweet, not gourmand. strong, has a distinctive character, but sometimes too piercing, maybe it’s the spices. liked it though!

Lightly floral, strongly fruity and juicy scent. Good! I like it rather well. The other l'eau versions were not bad either, but this is the best for my taste. Interesting composition of lily, apple and patchouli. I recommend to try it! :)

There's a strong linden blossom note in the top - it's juicy, sweet and deep - though it's probably a combination of lily and apple. I like the fragrance so far, but it's completely different from other Kenzo L'Eau incarnations.

red apple, lily , lotus patchuli..all 3-strong and feminine .like a 90 s perfume. but in a good way. strong and womanly, maybe better for winter because of the type of versace crystal noir .. vibe.

Wearing a sample of this as I type this review and I have to say I do like the scent but it's a bit too feminine for me. Not something I'd wear because frankly it screams preppy bubbly woman in a sundress on a warm afternoon or high school girl who oversprayed her bodyspray. Anyone else remember that era around 96-2000 when every girl left an absurb trail of cheap bodyspray throughout the hallways? Not the aura I'd want to give off as a 6' dude who's into spooky stuff and metal, but hey it still smells fresh and nice. Very sweet, fruity and floral, reminds me of fancy lotion or bodywash you'd find at a place like Sephora or Lush. Okay maybe there's a slight "walking passed a Bath and Body Works in a mall circa 2000" smell too but it's not that cloying. I could see this one being offensive to people though as it IS strong and projects hard. Up close it's almost too much.

Horrible smell and horrible bottle. When will Kenzo re launch the original L'eau Par?

Gross typical fruitchouli. Yes, it's got a distinct apple note and the florals are a bit fresher than some others, but it's still a fruitchouli, so when I wear it I smell like a perfume store that only carries the very most basic and crowd pleasing scents and sprays them all every hour on the hour in an attempt to showcase their wares. If I wanted to smell like Angel, La Vie Est Belle, and Coco Mademoiselle somehow all had a baby with an apple, I would...well I wouldn't.

This is not just another flirty fruitchouli of the decade, but way more than that. Sharing almost no similarities and/or common DNA with the original L'Eau, this fragrance could be a strong player on its own (and perhaps that way would be less overlooked). It opens with ripe yet fresh and sharp, almost metallic and cold apple notes, which never gets tart, juicy or overly sweet. Instantly patchouli comes into play - soil like, but not dirty and very cold. Like loose soil holding some frozen water droplets in the shape of small ice crystals. Some peony and lotus gives soft fresh floral nuances making L'Eau Kenzo Intense more wearable. After some three hours the scent turns more woody. Also some resinous warmth is detectable (like ambra or benzoin), but it is still very patchouli heavy. This perfume lasts up to ten hours with moderate sillage; however with heavy spraying heavy sillage could be achieved. Cooler and colder weather, day and night appropriate, unisex.

I agree with people here saying this has something from original L'Eau Par, deep deep down, but it's there. Opens with a burst of very sweet apples. That's pretty much all I can smell at first. Unfortunately I find these apples quite generic to be honest. I expected something else after the drydown but the apples still stay the most prominent. I get a bit of lotus and quite nice patchouli undertone. The scent itself is overwhelming for me and way too sweet. On the other hand its quite unique fruity fragrance I have to admit. Spring suitable.

WoW... That's... Interesting.... When I smelled this on my girlfriend I swear she smelled like candied apples, juicy berries and earthy vanilla, absolutely astonishingly beautiful scent on her, but looking at the notes I am quite shocked. I guess body chemistry can do crazy things, now I HAVE to try it too.

I love apple and patchouli notes, so I sort of expected it to be another great sparkling fruitchouli, but no. The perfume is flat. The sweetness is very plain, bubble gum type, it really lacks depth. I'm glad, I didn't blind buy it. It gave me similar impression as Live Irresistible by Givenchy.

Veryyy nice fragrance very unique doesnt remind me of any other fragrance its unique on its way very chic sweet perfume i always find sweet perfumes nice but they smell somehow cheep this perfume smells sweet and also very luxurious in a wayyy ...it smells great on my skin i loveee it..

I ususally don't like fragrances with apple notes but this one reminds me an apple cake... it's so yummy! I swear I can smell some cinnamon here. Very delicous.

Sweet but fresh, and a little fruity. This is what I imagine the color pink to smell like.
