Power

Kenzo is a house that I have just recently started to check out, and in general: I really like almost all of what I have tried. Power is different from anything else I have smelled, and I applaud anything that goes against the norm... This begins with a nice smooth warm mix of powdery spices. I am trying this in the middle of Winter, and it seems a good choice for cold days; despite the fact it has some citrus. It does not come off too sharp or like a spice cupboard, more like a spicy sachet or nice chai. Bergamot keeps it clean and the corriander and cardamom add some smooth and dry floral spiciness. There is something vaguely fruity here (mirabelles?), and also something creamy. Another website mentions: tolu balsam, cedar and labdanum...but I get only a light woodiness and a very slight sweet resinousness, but it is not overly oriental. No actual flowers are listed, although corriander blossoms are called davana in some regions. I get nothing even remotely like "lipstick" here, (maybe a high quality organic lip balm, but that is really oversimplifying!) and find this to be no more feminine than any of the other "refined" men's scents on the market. As far as the question: How "should" a man smell? Well,however he wants, as long as he smells good and this does! Olivier Polge has done a very good job here, and this is a very nice counterpart to Flower, and a bit softer than Dior Homme. The flacon is stunning and a piece of art! Sillage: okay Longevity: good Overall: 3.5/5 This does go well on a woman's skin too! My mom applied some from my sample, and it was bright and more citrusy on her; where it was a bit creamier, and slightly spicier on me. All in all, a really nice fragrance...worth having and wearing for the fragrance and the bottle is worth saving, even if it is empty! Perfect for fall or winter, but also would be a nice spring scent for evenings. I do not think it would do as well in summer.

Although many may not find this concoction appealing for winter, it is the best moment to get the full potential of Kenzo Power. Wearing it around springtime, closest you can get into depth of the fragrance is the balsamic, rather heavier and powdery quality, pretty much resembling smell you can sniff from opposite sex after using any female conditioner, hairspray or body lotion. That being said, Kenzo Power projects boldly, not continuously, but with the full blast from the very start, slowly, very slowly setting down to silky, soft freshness. However, temperature is the key here. As aforementioned, grab it by the wintertime and you will realize how perfectly all the tones play the harmonies. Complementary spiciness of coriander blends finely with zesty bergamot. Balsamic base is supported with woody accords and that floral heart, cloying in hotter days, is all of sudden light, fragrant and subtle. Once a cool breeze or even a strong wind blow on your walk, you ́ll be instantly swept by the refreshing, warm and coke-like aura of the fragrance. Fear not, if you feel this powdery aspect could cause you headache or nervousness. Just experiment with the weather conditions. No need to layer it with anything else whatsoever. Definitely not with body milk or any citrusy double. The best comes when it is by itself. And while Power is out of production, your flacon should be saved wiser for special occasion, say when you feel in mood to cheer up long cold evenings or go to some private matinee with bunch of friends. Don ́t overspritz yourself though or you lose the identity both of yourself and fragrance at the same time. One spritz directly on the skin is adequate enough, economic and effective, too. If you decide on purchase, you won ́t be disappointed, nor deceived from your expectations. Sophisticated, tender yet invigorating.

Probably the best purchase I made last year. I have to say it is not a fragrance that would appeal to most men due to its floral cords but it is not that strong on floral either. Citrussy is gone within minutes and leaves behind what I think its very well balanced, the coriander and cardamom. Both strong components play a good strong part once the florals have settled down (which don’t take long). Cords of which are used in south asian tea. It is a unusual mix in a fragrance but I think it works really well together. I remember walking past the Kenzo section and seeing this bottle. From the face I couldn’t figure out whether it was for men or women. Even the name Power didn’t help neither. After spraying it on skin I was still lost on who this is for. It is truly unisex and yes I think women can easily use this one without any issues but I think it takes a confident man to pull this off. It is good to see that it is not liked by many guys due to its feminine floral nature so if you do want to stand out from the rest, take the risk. The bottles shape is unusual bullet platinum container type and material is slightly annoying because you don’t actually know how much is remaining. Having said that, from my range that shows transparent juice, this bottle stands out with it’s heavy coated facade which aids its mysterious essence. Personally I find the bottle represents it’s contents. This fragrance I find lasts longer on clothes than on skin but when it is on skin the clothes that touch that part of skin will smell of the fragrance. I gave my scarf to my girlfriend on a cold evening out and she couldn’t stop inhaling the fragrance transported from my neck to my scarf. All in all, a great fragrance worth buying

I think that this one got discontinued. It is no longer on Kenzo website and it is hard to find it online. The funny thing is that it had also disappeared sometime before 2013 and came back circa 2017 but a bit reformulated. I first encountered Kenzo (flower) Power - yes, there is a flower drawing hidden between the words Kenzo and Power - when I got a free sample with another purchase nearly a decade ago. I stumbled upon the sample a few years later - it was forgotten with some other samples in a box - and I fell in love with it! It was a bit hard to find it because it was no longer available at retail stores, so I had to try to find it online. I can see why this one was never popular, florals for men are hard to promote and men are afraid to wear something like that, in order not to smell like "girls". Especially nowadays when Savauge and Aventus sell like crazy and everyone wants to smell like that, I can understand the reason why this is probably discontinued. For me perfumes have no gender and everyone should wear whatever they like. I always wear the perfumes in order to feel nice and confident and I don't give a damn what others may think. The truth is that Kenzo Power is actually a niche release, a very brave move for Kenzo to release such a scent back in 2008. I can see anyone wearing this and feel confident, I always say that in the dry down I detect elements of the original Dior Homme, the perfumer is the same actually. There are lots of florals in the opening, together with Bergamot and Cardamon. Longevity and projection is good. I also have to say that I absolutely love the bottle, which was actually inspired by a sake drink bottle.

At first, a blend of spices and zest, with a fresh, invigorating impact. At last, woody and amber notes, enveloping and manly. Bergamot, coriander, cardamom, an abstract floral heart, tolu balm, cedar wood and labdanum. Noble ingredients.

Ohhh man.. to me Power is quite incredible. I do get all that "floral powder" and "pepsi/cola/amber thing with powdery flowers", as well as the "is barely nothing on a paper strip". What I also get is a very similar feel and smell to the current weather we're at right now in Northern Europe. The weather (sometimes also called as early Spring) where you can still find large areas covered in clean white snow and ice, yet the weather is warm and sunny enough so that the clean and cold is contrasted with the warm, melting earth and flora around you. All weirdly mixed. I'm right now realising again how quickly that exact weather actually passes and appreciating it all the more. Even more so I might appreciate flipping a finger again to whoever told you or me, how perfume is just scented liquid or about smelling nice :)) Power might not be for everyone, even if I find it oh so pleasing, easy and gentlemanly. Classy yet somehow modern, but I do feel like someone could consider it to smell bit "too classy" I guess. I keep wondering how the listed notes created this perfume, or more so the feeling. To me the notes seem quite heavy, but I'd wear this during summer too, no question. At any moment almost. I feel like this smells of a very classy but cool person, who is not afraid to smile either :)

This is the first ever perfume I bought, back in 2019. I have never worn perfume before that, and I wanted to have a signature perfume (now that idea is long gone lol). I spent maybe an hour+ in Sephora smelling different popular brands until I stumbled upon Kenzo Power. It really stood out to me. There is something I cannot quite describe about this fragrance. It doesn't try to "smell like" something : it is fresh and citrusy but I don't know what kind of citrus it is. It has some facets that are uncommon but very addicting, like the coriander and cardamom. The blending is so well made that when you smell it on someone, you just go "oh that smells good". The biggest downside is the longevity of this thing. It is one of the freshies that sadly doesn't last very long. But it is quite affordable, especially on discounters here in France, so I sometimes overspray just a little bit and I also carry it in my bag wherever I go. It was my signature scent for a long time, and now that I bought another bottle, it has become my go-to, swiss-army-knife frag. If you are looking for a perfume to wear all year-round, there are definitely better options out there. But for a summer freshie, I can't recommend this enough.

I've been digging for this nose (and eye) catching Kenzo during the past few weeks! Technically this fragrance isn't extremely complex, but it actually isn't that linear at all. Power's opening is sparkly and fruity, it then morphs into a frankly flowery, sweet and soapy scent. The base is a soft and powdery ambery/vanillic mix, while the sweet flower bouquet remains until the very end, with a slightly oriental touch to it. No rough edges at any stage of the fragrance, an overall very pleasing fragrance to wear, with an obvious feminine side that I absolutely love, and that is never too heavy. By the way, it isn't everyday that you come across a genuine flowery fragrance for men, as our formated culture dictates "real men smell strong, woody, spicy,and sporty citrusy; and women smell like delicate roses, little flowers and unicorns". I also like how the ad campaign focuses on purity and simplicity, when most of the ads for men colognes are overtly tacky, macho and pretentious. Longevity is 7-8+ hours, days on clothes. Projection is moderate soft, nothing that fills the room. From my point of view, Kenzo Power has widened the horizon of "male fragrances". Daring and necessary!

This one is perfect as a gift for a lady who loves spicy, woodsy scents with a lot of smooth Amber and woodsy notes after the initial citrus/cinnamon blast cools. My girlfriend was initially a little put off by the slight undertone of Star Anise that she thought she could smell. Personally I find it a very sensual scent that lingers and begs for a closer sniff. It works well as an occasional should I forget to take some of my own scents when I visit. For me this one is worth every penny of the £60 retail price here in the UK but it is currently available a whole lot cheaper in 125ml version. A beautifully simple bottle that is the epitome of the subtle strength that power brings. There's no need to shout if you have the gravitas required to wear something like this, the message will always come through loud and clear.

There is something in this fragrance that I just like it a lot, from the bottle design to the essence itself, I just enjoy wearing it, I don't find it overpowering at all, neither too loud, just very easy to wear and makes me feel nice and fresh. Awesome in Spring, and maybe in Summer as well, but easy to wear at any time, I would say is more a day fragrance. I like it as much that I have ordered almost all the accessories available.;-) Edit: So I got all the accessories, aftershave balm, aftershave spray, deodorant spray, shampoo and the cologne and it is just a nice feeling staring on the shower to the last spritzes of the EDT or the cologne version only, if you want to get a softer sillage or put a first layer of the Cologne and as final touch a couple of spritzes of the EDT, and works perfect.

love this. Dont know why the fools saying its nothing special, clearly they have no nose. Or the ppl saying its so feminine. ite not! Yes its very unisex because of the citrus and the flower note which go away. it becomes woodsy and creamy with a hint of citrus. This is a very pleasing scent which is its genious because it NEVER offends anyone and many fragrances cant do that. It also is very fresh. the citrus is spicy so its not typical. the flowerreminds of iris which is the magic flower nowadays to use in fragrances which intoxicate people and keep them feeling sexy and at ease. it almost has a vanilla woodsy waxy citrus green tea feel. at times this reminds me of a concoction between dior homme and au de vert by Bvlgari. If you are a fan of those two then this is a must.

I absolutely love this scent. This is definitely one of my favourite perfumes. It's unique yet recognisable. My absolute favourite is YSL la Nuit del Homme and this one is kind of a powdery version of that. They are similar in some ways and that is probably the reason I love them both. My purchase of this scent back in the days was actually accidental. It was supposed to be a gift but I ended up getting one for my self also and I have been in love ever since. I only use it on very special occasions since I know it has been reformulated and so on. I ve been trying to find a clone or something similar to it so I can spray away to my heart's content. I will eventually try the cologne version too but until then this will remain my treasure and " my precious..."

che bella sorpresa! oggi decido di usare un vecchio, dimenticato campioncino snobbato dal mio compagno, per provare qualcosa a scatola chiusa. il piacere è tutto mio. probabilmente per il fatto che è un profumo concepito per uomini, la sua base "potentemente" floreale è supergradevole (non come le oscenità centrate sui fiori per donna...) con neroli, ma soprattutto violetta e iris. la prima impressione agrumata (lime verde) si diluisce in un bouquet floreale appunto, che vira sul polveroso e speziato. sì, perchè qui l'effetto polveroso dato da violetta e iris non trascende nell'impressione talcata caratteristica dei profumi femminili basati sulle stesse note, ma si assesta piuttosto su un fondo legnoso e leggermente affumicato. notevolissimo.

Just picked up a bottle of this, without sampling, due to limited clearance, but sealed stock....an absolute gem of a blind buy !. The metallic flacon has solid weight to it and accentuates the quality of whats inside. Not a single floral note in the list, but this fragrances exudes a beautifully immense floral aura, with an ever present undercurrent of resinous oriental amber that gives it it's masculine edge. The floral quality is divine, but not detailed or excessively feminine in nature - creamy smooth power abounds - 6 hours in now and it's reacting extremely favourable with my skin, generating solid waves of blissful aroma. This one has really bowled me over - a complete surprise and one of my finest purchases - couldn't be happier !

One of my signature parfume. I love it and i start to love it as soon i try it first time LOOOONG time ago!! :) It was love at first smell ( snifff ). Flowery notes are OUT of this world , and Cardamon and Coriander give that special spicy but so well balanced frag. On that same day i find my other signature Chanel Allure Blanch Edition and i was in hell how to make choice ... But i have them and it turn to heaven from that day. Uniqueness of this parfume is unmatched till this day. House of Kenzo has that approach of special and one of the kind bit weird but newer safe and boring! Only problem POWER is not its name it should be something different, more gentle or unisexy. Overall : 10/10

Prada infusion d'homme upon opening, smells similar to a fizzy drink (sprite, 7up). I prefer this since it morphs into something warmer in the dry down compared to Prada Infusion which stays mellow and soapy. I have bought a couple of 125ml bottles of this stuff (I will be wearing this often for sure), very easy to wear on almost any occasion (apart from a formal event). I wear this fresh out of the shower and I layer it with Tom Ford Neroli Portofino Acqua - leaves me feeling fresh and clean on a spring/summer day. Out of my collection this one sits towards the front, an easy reach to be worn daily. Highly recommend if you like Prada Infusion d'homme.

I first wore this back in 2010. I don ́t have the knowledge of some "master perfumers" here, that love to discuss the notes, the ingredients and say the perfum is generic or synthetic (just idiotic remarks...), but I do have olfatory memory. And this is the same scent, the same projection, the same longevity as the one I used back in 2010. This is f.....kg great!!!! Nevermind the "master perfumers" idiots and the uber remarks of generic or synthetic (aren ́t perfums all synthetic?!). This shit smells good, stays all day long and has a monster projection. That ́s it!!! If u like floral scents, you ́re going to love this juice!!

First of all: The bottle is a piece of art. It's beautiful, simple and sophisticated. Definitely my favourite from all. The scent is... interesting, intriguing, unique. It's powdery but so fresh at the same time, when I'm wearing it I feel like just after shower with soap. But also it's very aromatic and heavy. Total contradiction. It's not typical masculine fragrance which makes it for me the obvious choice as a ideal scent for men. I wear it very often in the morning and I know it's not subtle (however for me it smell like fresh shower) so I wonder if people on public transport love it or hate it.

Lively, natural, unique, and androgynous. The perfume has great balance of zing, earthen tones, artistry, and style. Did I mention quality in craftsmanship too? The spicy top is beautiful and energizing and gives way to a gorgeous field of flowers. The dry down is "powdery" and much more effeminate than the rest of the perfume! This may be a Kenzo mark, as I noticed an almost identical dry down in Kenzo Flower. Back to the beginning, the perfume comes out oily, but that's a sign that this perfume really sticks to skin and lasts for many hours.

I bought this yesterday after a couple of hours sniffing of the test patch on my skin, and I'm sooooooooooooo glad I did. It's gorgeous, it starts off like Sarsaparilla or Cola with a heavy earthy licorice-ish undertone, and develops into something intense and clay-like. There's floral hints, rose carnation, but overall this is essentially Feminité du Bois; Masculinité du Bois if you like. Power also reminds me very strongly of Armani Privé Cuir Amethyste The amber base note is delicious and not overpowering or hippy.

I'm on my 3rd bottle of this stuff. It is maybe my favourite fragrance for daily wear - clean, fresh, pleasant... has something about it that just makes me feel upbeat. Can be worn in more or less any season and can be worn casually or formally. The note breakdown above lists "flowers" as the mid note but truthfully I've always associated this with being very masculine. A true staple - no flankers that I can think of and a unique bottle. Heard it has been discontinued but that would be a travesty quite frankly

This is a childhood fragrance. I would pay 100$ to rebuy it if available. My parents bought this back in 2010. If I remember correctly, it smells unique for a floral fragrance, and the mix of notes is complex, making it more exciting. If I get to smell this again, I will feel deeply nostalgic; maybe the more expensive "TF Soliel Neige." can replace it, but not as effective as this one. The bottle design is BOLD like a "Silver Surfer." Overall, this is one of my favourite fragrances of all time.

Love this one! Easily one of the best florals for men. Kenzo Power is what I had hoped all the Prada fragrances would be - fresh, soapy, calming... and either cool or warm, depending on the weather. Easily the best floral soapy scent I've found so far. It's so natural and effervescent but has great longetivity and projection while never becoming cloying. Just an all around incredible fragrance. Yes, it's a flower fragrance, but like mbasilakism said, this is a flower for men. A must TRY!

Kenzo Power is powerful stuff indeed. I remember wearing this one often during a trip to New York City in 2009 during the winter and it was really potent stuff. It used to be available all over the place at the discount sites but now it seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. The scent itself is definitely sweet and projects rather well. I loved everything about it including the bottle. I had some good memories with this one. Definitely recommended if you can find it.

Just bought this. Possibly the best £28 I have ever spent on a fragrance. Yes it is floral. It is not the typical 'male' fragrance, I guess, but so what? I have a small decant of Tom Ford's Soleil Neige and the two are very alike. Certainly in the long dry down. No contest in terms of value for money between the two. One other thing - the flacon is a thing of beauty indeed. I can't believe I paid less than £30 for a 60ml powerhouse. Bravo!

Amazing combo! Love the cardamom here, it mixes so well with the flowery elements and citruses, cedar-note is just perfect here, not too strong but definitely detectable. I bought this for my hubby and my two sons, but I wear it also from time to time, especially for my solitaire moments to strenghten my soul. It's like a short voyage to japanese spa, relaxing, calming, comforting. Remedy for heartbreaks this is! Love it!

My first impression its that are some resemblance between Power and Versace The Dreamer. Power don't have the same strong projection, but have a much more natural opening, and a pleasing drydown. I detect a cinnamon note, wich its very well made I'd say. In my opinion, its a fragrance very suitable for any season, day or night, office or even for clubbing. Great signature scent! I love it and I hope to buy it ASAP.

Is this indeed back? I’m reading people mentioning it’s back with new bottle but no mention of the silver original. Or is this a new flanker because from what I remember, there was a glass bottle cologne version and the silver bottle with silver top which I saw first and everywhere which is the Kenzo power edt “fraiche” and the glass bottle with white top is the Kenzo power EDT.

Perhaps the right name should be, the power of talc powder. Yes, it is the best summertime scent I had so far. A scent without angles and if it was a shape then probably could be a cycle. It is not masculine but it is emotional. It is not feminine but it is dynamic. A soft flowery - creamy powder, with enough dynamic and sensual dose for summer nights. Love it.

I like this fragrance a lot. It's my 2nd favorite or 1st favorite of the Kenzo line of fragrances. This smells sort of sweet and a little woody. I also get this tobacco/incense vibe to it, which could be the Tolu balsam and the cedar notes. There's some probability in the future that I may buy a bottle of this one, since I like it that well.

I adore this EDT! It is great for formal events. When you are wearing a suit, fresh haircut and you want to smell like a classy man. Beautiful in every way. I do not find this particular EDT suitable for school and casual activities due to a formal accord. It's just beautiful, but there's no fun in it. Very formal.

Androgyny earliest introduction to perfumery. The reason why my favourite genre in fragrances is florals, is this Power. On my third bottle, not getting bored at all. Power name falls right in seduction and in the formula of blend that I don't think it smells like anything ever since it was produced til' now.

I think the uniqueness of this fragrance is flowers scent which feels masculine. Yes it is not a complicated perfume and the price is nice, but as with all Kenzo, it is fresh, clean, and flowery. I know only 1 other flowery fragrance that feels masculine - Cartier L`envol. They are different but remain.

this is my love. Smells like JM Myrrh & Tonka. Very seductive and charming. Well blended and long lasting. Now it is discontinued already, and im blessed to have it in my collection. Seriously hard to find and rarely perfume nowadays into this elite direction. A niche in designer's bottle.. Such a gem!

smells powdery but in a pleasant way... and it is almost a unisex fragrance for its floral notes on the first few minutes on my skin. i like the woody spicy drydown though. lasts long on me.. sillage is great! awesome bottle too!

An excellent creamy floral with very good longevity on my skin. Very soothing. The bottle is amazing looking. Is anyone else's sprayer kind of weird? Mine kind of leaks. When I take the cap off there is juice on the atomizer.

Not for everyone. It's really classy scent with floral notes. First sniff maybe disappointed, but after 30-40 minutes Kenzo Power showing it's class. Lasts almost whole day, projection - great. Only for brave. Overall - 4/5

it's my favourite fragrance, on my skin first it smells lovely, bergamot, then spicy, and slowly becomes into woody notes. It's perfect for fall, and winter days, it gives me a feeling of warmness, and POWER for all day.

Prada infusion d'homme..if that's your pref than you'll probably like this one ..not the same of course, this one is more fruity..but it is soft, gentle, pleasant, never cloying...i like it quite a lot... 8,8/10

Lovelovelove this edt!!! It was love at first sniff! In my skin it's divine!! Also Power Kenzo Cologne 4 summer! And the bottles are soooo sofisticated! It's a shame that both are discontinued!

well, i bought this one for myself. this is delicate and noble. longevity is amazing. flowery but not banal. i dont mind this is for men. i'm willing to grow a beard for this scent.

I love this smell - yet another woody oriental floral mix but with a difference . Very refined and has staying power - definate thums up from me - this juice is lovely

I get anise straight away but I see some others here mention cola. It's more anise to me. A really good non-aquatic warm weather option. Mine is a 2008 EDT.

This is another great perfume composed by Olivier Polge, beautiful warm, woody, Amber floral. Very subtle, I like this one a lot, perfect for spring :)

My association is: tea. Could be the bergamot, as that's the perfume in Earl Grey tea. A scent with a difference. Nice!

imagine prada lhomme with no powdery iris, but with flowers and soap. Both are worthy to own its very good

This smells HOT! to me. I like to wear it and I think it must be a great choice for men, of course
