Followed by Kerosene — it really followed me, and my friends, for days. I was visiting my friend Oleg, a fellow fraghead. While getting ready to go out for the night, I grabbed a random bottle in the dark — it smelled like coffee, I liked it, so I went for 5 or 6 sprays... A few minutes later, my friends returned to the apartment. I was still in the next room, several meters away, but the questions started immediately: "What is that smell?" I told them I’d just put on some perfume. My friend asked, "Which one exactly??" I pointed to Followed. He just said, "That was a mistake..." We went out, and one of our female friends started choking, saying she felt like she was going to throw up. Then we got into a taxi. I was in the front seat, and at some point, the driver started sighing heavily before rolling down his window entirely. It was winter, -12°C outside!!! I truly hope he survived. Later at a restaurant, another friend joined us and asked what smelled so delicious (he’s a huge coffee lover, so he actually enjoyed it). We ended the night at a bar. I found out later that every time I walked past people in the bar, they’d ask, "What’s that burnt smell?" (it was me and Followed). The craziest part? One of the bartenders worked at both the restaurant and the bar. He told my friend that the exact same smell lingered in both establishments for days after I had been there. Overall, I highly recommend it. People will remember you forever and most likely hate you. Personally, I love it. In my opinion, this is the level of longevity and projection every perfume should strive for.

(edited and revised review after multiple wears) The reviews are heavily exaggerating about how strong this is. After two sprays, it has a very good sillage and lasts long on skin and clothes- however, it does NOT make the whole house smell like the fragrance. You only need 1–2 sprays. Any more than 2 and you will leave a much stronger trail and fill the room. The name is true though, you will be followed... People will be wondering where the pancakes are. When I wore this out for the first time, I heard 2 guys talking about how something smells like syrup. By that point, I had walked about 15ft away, so it definitely leaves a nice trail. Then I went to the poker club, all the guys at the table were talking about how it smells like pancakes and maple syrup, they were wondering if the place had a breakfast menu! I smell coffee first thing, then the coffee mostly disappears after a while and i basically only get pancakes with maple syrup. The drydown slightly smells like chocolate. It does have a slight synthetic/plastic scent (it isn’t unpleasant) in the first 1-2 hours after spraying, but only on the skin, and only if you touch your nose right up to the area it was sprayed. Also, I don't see an issue with this smelling like fenugreek. Fenugreek just smells like maple syrup... It doesn't smell like curry or celery at all either, even when over sprayed. I sprayed myself 3x (which is definitely over spraying for this fragrance) and I went around asking people if they smell curry or celery. Nobody did.

Okay, simply put, the hype is real. I picked this up yesterday at Scent Bar NYC. Big shout out to the gang there....They are amazing!!! If you are ever in New York make sure you stop in and see them...Now on to the fragrance: I personally love the scent profile.... It is definitely very coffee forward in the opening and then dries down to a really beautiful coffee/pancake & maple syrup scent that is SO realistic... The blending of this fragrance is pure magic for the realism... Truly incredible. Of course everyone wants to know about the reputation in terms of the legendary performance... This stuff is absolutely bonkers!!!! I sprayed ONE tiny spray on the inside of my wrist yesterday early afternoon. I decided to test the resilience of this so I washed my wrist ten times with scented soap and had a shower last night as well as one this morning and I can tell you, Followed hasn't budged... It is still there!!! And not some faint skin smell. It is still there the way "normal" fragrances would be within ten minutes of applying them... This stuff is truly insane... I am very curious to know what ingredient John Pegg uses to get this longevity out of a fragrance.... This is ABSOLUTELY not blind buy territory... I can't imagine how long this would last on clothing and I'm not going to find out.. at any rate, just my take on this beast.... In the meantime, be good to each other and keep smelling great!!!

I had been wanting to try this for so long because I heard it was absolutely nuclear, and I had to see for myself. I could smell it slightly through the packaging, but nothing too crazy (I sprayed it outside and only once on my wrist just to be safe). I immediately loved the smell- sharp, fresh coffee grounds with a hint of maple syrup. The smell does follow- my boyfriend said he could smell it while we were walking back to my apartment- but it's so pleasant. It's been a few hours and I've showered, but I can still smell it on my wrist. Now, the coffee is gone, and it's just delicious maple syrup. I completely understand how more than one or two sprays would be super strong, and I get that this one isn't for everybody, but I'm so glad it works well on my skin (knock on wood) because I love it. The smell lasts while not being intense, so I don't have a headache. I'll definitely be buying a full bottle in the future, and I hope it smells as good then as it does now. My sample of Bianco Latte was in the same order and I sprayed that on my other arm, so I just smelled like a delicious vanilla coffee/french toast with syrup combo for the rest of the day (definitely going to have to layer those two in the future). 5/5

After reading all the reviews and speculations, i felt the need to try it at least once in my life. Im just wearing it for 10 minutes but boy i must say, this is already so good!! Its not the really dark coffee scent i expected but more a sweeter mocha type of coffee and i really enjoy it. Hope the drydown will smell like pancakes as some wearers experience and if so, it might be full bottle worthy. As for projection i think its really good but don’t know if it is as strong as some people say it is, must wait before drawing a conclusion. Update: I really like it, but after 6 hours it somehow reminded me of the soy sauce some people were concluding but not to an extent and people around me weren't complaining. Strangely enough one day later I smell the lovely mocha/coffee again. Longevity is really good, I applied it yesterday at 9:00, today I visited a friend at around 16:00 and she said I smellt like coffee (I even took a shower in the morning too). For projection idk: it does project good in the sense people around u will definitely smell u, but I don't think it does linger in a room u just were. It only did in my room where I applied it. I think im tempted to go for a FB!

beautiful scent, even more beautiful performance. went to the luckyscent bar in nyc and one of the first questions i asked was if i was allowed to spray the bottle, they said no. later on in my visit i convinced them to give me a sample, the only catch? i had to go outside and spray the bottle myself into the decant. it dripped all over my fingers, all over the floor, within seconds, everyone on the street was coming up to me asking what “that smell” was. later on, about 6 hours later, and since it’s been on my fingers, i’ve received more compliments than i’ve ever received with any fragrance, 11 if im recalling correctly. the final nail in the coffin for me was when i dropped off my friend, who came with me to luckyscent, back at his house, within minutes he was texting me, everyone in his family was asking “why do you smell like coffee?” “why do you smell like pancakes?” i don’t know what they put in this bottle, but whatever it is it isn’t from this planet. brilliant, spectacular, raid boss of all compliment getters, do NOT overspray this, im an oversprayer (LOVE overspraying), do NOT overspray this.

This is the coffee scent I was looking for! What I was looking for is the scent of my morning coffee ritual at home: pulling a shot with a manual espresso machine, frothing a mix of milk and oat milk using a handheld wand, and gently caramelizing it over an IH stove. Kerosene Followed captures this process so perfectly — the dark roast espresso, the creamy steamed milk, the subtle sweetness of oat milk just starting to caramelize from the heat. It smells like my kitchen at 7 a.m. The longevity is impressively good — not as insane as some people on YouTube or Reddit suggest. After a shower, I could still catch faint traces on my skin: a warm blend of caramel, amber, and a touch of salty sweetness. Not really just maple syrup sweet. Updates: It also has a faint scent reminiscent of Chinese medicine in the far dry-down. People with a good nose may catch it — it hides behind the more noticeable caramel note (will be gone after 12h+), but it’s definitely there. This nuance becomes more apparent after the perfume has sat in the cabinet for a while. I actually like this hidden facet too.

Ok when I saw the reviews i was skeptical on its insaneness ngl so i bought a tester for my own curiosity. I WAS PROVEN SO WRONG OMG!! This damn perfume had my entire house filled with maple syrup goodness and when I was suprise called into work it was the same deal. People were coming in and saying it smelt like french toast and I have never in my days had a perfume hold its smell this long. Now onto the actual scent. The inital smell of freshly brewed coffee was delicious however faded fairly quickly into that maple syrup, breakfasty scent its known for. Now a lot of people mentioned a curry scent which honestly, I haven't smelt myself with this perfume so it may vary from person to person. I will say that this is a VERY potent perfume. If you are testing and ESPECIALLY using it, dont even use a full spray. I recommend spritzing just a drop of it onto your wrist and dab it onto wherever else you normally place your perfume. Overall a 10/10 for me, i will be using this and pairing it with the bath and body works blueberry sugar pancakes line for the ultimate breakfast scent lol

soo YUMMY. Chocolate, Coffee, Caramel, with Amber sweet notes. I smell this almost maple stroopwafle like note but more caramel, and then its a chocolatey coffee. Delicious. This is an amazing scent! AMAZING!!! ❤️ *edit: Huge successful blind buy, so much that I bought a second bottle. It does have a coffee note that lasts through the wear, and I am here for it. It is very well done. I get hours and hours and hours wearing. Even at 14 hrs I can still smell it on my skin and it is yummy. Must try if you like the notes. I can't stop smelling myself when wearing. *2nd edit: I believe the bottle (which isn't leaking that I can see) is giving off this gourmand, ambery caramelized almost maple syrup scent that sort of permeates the air filling the room. But its not the full scent, it is like an amalgam of notes and base notes dried down but resinating through the space wherever the bottle sits. I moved it to a cupboard, in a room. The room still smells of the scent faintly and the cupboard is flooded with the scent. STRONG POTENT!

On my skin, with my body chemistry, this beast smells like real Italian tiramisu from Veneto region and only tiramisu i can smell... from the time I spray until 15 hours later. My family told me that and at work everyone was saying that I smell like tiramisu. I did not smell any maple syrup, pancakes and caramel.... In my humble opinion: proceed with caution and spray one spray only from far away....It has a performance of Russian ballistic missile "Satan II"..... not safe for blind buy, not for office and not safe in hot weather. It will be amazing for the winter and fall date night and after...LOL but only if your partner loves chocolate and coffee.. Update: I got very tired of the smell, it lingers for so long on the skin and forever on clothes. I did receive complement for it but I just cannot bare the scent anymore..... I sold it to my coworker who is from Lebanon and she absolutely in love with it

This "Perfume followed by Kerosene" is seriously amazing! It has so many strengths and only a few weaknesses. One downside is that the wearer gets nose blind to it pretty easily, but people around you can still clearly smell the fragrance coming from your body. Here are some of my crazy, mind-blowing experiences with it: The first time I bought it, I unboxed it downstairs in my apartment building. I sprayed just once on my neck and immediately went to the gym for 1.5 hours and worked up a sweat. When I got back to my room, my wife suddenly said she could smell a really strong coffee scent coming from my body — it even filled up the whole room. Second experience: A friend came over to my house. I sprayed twice on my neck and hands. He rode his motorcycle home, took a shower... after that his mom asked him, “Why does the house suddenly smell like coffee?” Amazingggg — Kerosene followed 🔥

At one spray, I get an above-average strength coffee cake scent. My friend gets tiramisu. I love it, but it's much classier than I've been led to believe. I wanted to unlock the ultimate maple power. ): I wanted DEFCON 1 pancake. (I'm still going to buy a full bottle lol, it's at least DEFCON 3 coffee shop pastry.) edit: I bought a full bottle. I have never gotten perfume compliments/comments from strangers before, but now... Women stop me in the streets. Men complain about maple syrup. Some people wonder where that cinnamon smell is coming from. I am a god. Of pancakes. edit 2: People recognize me from my breakfast aura. I can't smell it as much myself anymore at 2 sprays. I know I have to reign in my power least I need more, but inflicting pancakes on others is absolutely intoxicating... Spring is coming... The nuclear gourmand winter will come to a close...

When it arrived in the mail, I couldn't smell it through the box, like so many other reviews had said. So I thought, “oh, they must be exaggerating,” and put it to the side and continued with my day. When I woke up the next morning, my entire house smelled of maple syrup. Entire house. Through closed doors. Thought the vial must have broken or spilled inside the package. It hadn't. I took it outside and put a small spritz on one wrist, and then smelt of black coffee and maple syrup pancakes for the next four days straight. It's deranged. I think the best way to wear this is to apply it about three days before you plan to go out, and then spend those three days on a mountaintop, ice floe, or nuclear reactor vault, somewhere where you won’t bother your entire postcode with it. This substance is chemical warfare, but, like, a really tasty one. Fucking love it.

It’s hilarious because the entire time I had this I was wondering who in GOD’S NAME would want a fragrance so powerful you have to throw *everything* you’ve worn during the application in the washer before you may even try to switch up the scent without that ever-penetrating eternal coffee-curry note slipping through and stealing the limelight— AGAIN. Now I know. It’s for times you are fully embalmed in fifty almost-combusting layers of stress and need an olfactory hug, like a huge imaginary plushie sticking onto you and keeping your depressed ass going by the sheer amount of warmth, comfort and sense of familiarity it provides wherever you go. I had a sample for quite a while now and only ever caught myself gravitating towards it when uni was absolutely wrecking my ass. Instant gratification that won’t ever let you go. 10/10

I bought this thinking that maybe you all were exaggerating? You were not. The scent itself is beautiful to me. The coffee note at the beginning was lovely but very fleeting, and it dries down to a maple that reminds me more of maple sugar candy than pancakes. The one downside is that one small spray does genuinely give you a syrup aura that extends maybe like 15 or 20 feet in every direction for like, two days. Someone at Kerosene did some kind of wicked, arcane sillage spell on this perfume that gives you the power, "Makes rooms smell like breakfast." It's honestly kind of spooky. I know of no other perfume that does this. I do kind of adore it, unfortunately, but I do recognize that this is "being alone" perfume unless everyone I'm going to be around is a syrup freak like me <3

I recently received followed from the House of Kerosene, and I must express my admiration for the exquisite nature of this fragrance. The scent was perceptible even through the packaging, evoking a sense of nostalgia akin to the aroma of freshly made waffles on a school morning, accompanied by butter and a captivating maple syrup. Upon my initial application, the fragrance presented a somewhat synthetic quality, reminiscent of Tom Ford's Vanilla Tobacco. However, once it settled on my skin, it transformed into one of the most refined perfumes I have ever encountered. Therefore, if you are in search of a delightful fragrance suitable for the fall and winter seasons, featuring notes of waffles, syrup, caramel, and espresso, this would undoubtedly be the ideal choice for you.

By far my favourite coffee fragrance! Smells just like a packet of sweetened Nescafe instant coffee with some added creaminess. Has very distinct caramel as well as a hint of chocolate. I’ve also smelled Kerosene’s Follow which is a nice coffee fragrance but is much less sweet and has worse projection and longevity. If you prefer something that smells more like plain coffee grounds rather than a sweetened coffee mix, then Follow would be better for you! Followed has strong sillage and all day. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ❌ Al Rehab French Coffee: less sweet and creamy ❌ Kerosene Unknown Pleasures: a citrus tea scent ❌ Mancera Amore Caffè: has less coffee and more brown sugar and ice cream

Believe the hype! This stuff is insane.. I had one spray on the back of my hand which was 12 hrs old and then I also had just put on 8 sprays of Layton Exclusif before going to the gym. I got comments that I smelt like maple syrup. That one old spray dominated all the fresh Layton easily. Opening is strong coffee but after two or three hours it's transitions to a sweet maple syrup, very reminiscent of Maccas pancakes. Nothing I've ever seen comes close to the power of this baby.. It's very likeable too, not something I could wear every day but if you don't mind some gourmand every now and then this won't disappoint.. A 10ml decant is plenty, I couldn't imagine using a 100ml bottle in a lifetime..

“Oh no, I smell like a nuclear bomb of delicious breakfast exploded on me!” Cowards. Weaklings. Only the bold—nay, the *brave*—can appreciate Followed. Sure, it smells like maple syrup... If you’re a lightweight who runs at the first whiff of deliciousness coming from whatever this is wrapped in, because in actuality the coffee note is much stronger. Will I wear it out? Maybe. Probably not. But who cares! I smell like coffee, caramel and chocolate, and I’m supposed to be upset about it? Should I also avoid animals that are too cute, or blankets that are too soft? Never. I am one of the strong ones. I am Followed.

I love this. I got a tester vial and it arrived in the mail while I was sick and couldn't smell anything, which bummed me out. Until I opened it and I realized I could smell it. First thing I had smelt in days. Very syrupy to me. I don't smell the coffee or spicy or anything else yet. I work with animals and animal feed indoors so its hard to find a scent that can rise above that. This is it! I've only had one person comment on it so far, but I can smell it all day and it brings me joy. Animals don't seem bothered, including my cat who is more discerning than me.

I absolutely love this perfume, but definitely not one for blind buying. Get a sample if you're curious! It's STRONG and SWEET, all caps. I literally get asked "who smells like syrup? / is someone eating pancakes?" multiple times a day. I've had friends say they can tell when I enter a room before they see me because they smell this perfume. I can still smell it on my clothes after I put them through the wash. If you're looking for something you can spritz on in the morning and smell all day, it'll definitely accomplish that.

I love love love this perfume. Definitely a PROJECTOR. I feel like other people smell it more than I do me but I do smell it on my clothes for weeks after wear. I wore it to my college class and was really embarrassed by my perfume being so strong but also it felt good to be noticed for smelling good?? Everyone thought someone brought in a plate of pancakes, my teacher said “OK WHOSE GOT DONUTS IN THEIR POCKET?” will definitely be wearing again just maybe not to my college classes lol

This sh*t is NUCLEAR. Bottle should come with legend: "Handle with extreme caution." Fragrance itself is quite nice, smells like roasted coffee. Sometimes I wonder if this fragrance should be that loud, it projects and lasts like a beast. I cannot find situations to wear this. I've worn it two times, one very cold night and to the club (where I got a nice compliment). I think the perfumer did a great job, but I wish it wouldn't be such a powerful fragrance.

smells like maple syrup, but some say it smells like curry. i am genuinely scared to spray this on myself because of its potency. my school smells disgusting so i am considering throwing my decant into the vents as hard as i can and praying to god it breaks in there. considering its strength it may make a few people pass out but the strong will prevail. and those who do live will enjoy a nicer smelling school, wether or not it smells like maple or curry.

Thanks Vlad Bornuz for the gift. Smells like coffee, caramel, burnt sugar, vanilla, not overly sweet for me and the projection, sillage, longevity is INSANE!!!! Love. It’s not about your ph if you smell turmeric, indian food, curry or whatever other stuff, it might be your BO mixed with this TSAR BOMBA... test before you buy 100ml, maybe you only need a decant. Sprayed at 11 am, now it’s 4pm and it projects loud! 3 spritz was too much.

Even with 3 showers, hard scrubbing, and hand sanitizer to the max, this fragrance did not come off for 2 days and it’s disgustingly sweet maple syrup that inappropriately touches peoples noses. I told myself it wouldn’t be so bad but it was worse. Rubbing the sample vial is enough for 12 hours not even a spray just rubbing the sample vial. If you own a full bottle your crazy and it’s lasting you your whole life.

Coffee. Caramel. Sweet. Light espresso. That is so good; It's so gourmand and my head doesn't hurt whatsoever (usually very gourmand fragrances make me nauseous). I fucking love this so much. LOTS of caramel LOTS of it. If you don't absolutely love caramel it's gonna be very hard to love this, otherwise it's the best sh*t ever. 9.2/10 ps: do NOT overspray. I sprayed 3 times and my house smells like it now.

So weird, so intense, and so good! I love it but I'll have to find a way to put the smallest amount possible on my skin because it takes over the room. I smell caramel coffee very strongly but my family says they're just getting straight syrup. Either way, I smell delicious. My body chemistry takes to gourmands especially well, so if you're the same, this might be a fun scent to try!

This has become my signature scent - not just bc I love it, but the “why does it smell like maple syrup” comments from everyone I walk by makes me giggle every time. And then cherry on top is when I tell them it’s my perfume and they’re shocked. If you like the smell of maple syrup or pancakes with syrup, then you’ll enjoy this. It is veryyyyyyy potent so 2 sprays is all you need.

This fragrance is pure coffee and maple syrup. It doesn’t even smell like a perfume: just pure gourmand goodness in a bottle. Idk where I would where this frag to. Everyone in a ten mile radius will be able to smell you. That can be a good or a bad thing. This fragrance just blows my mind and makes me view fragrance in a whole different light.

Wow, this is probably the most realistic coffee scent I've ever smelled. If you've ever been in a small town diner that serves hearty breakfasts and always has a pot of coffee brewed and ready to go, then you know exactly what this perfume smells like. This makes me hungry and nostalgic at the and time, and now I need a full bottle.

the other reviews are not kidding one spray can fill a two story house and i wish that was a joke. and yes it really does seep through the bottle. now for me personally it's not a problem the coffee and maple smells heavenly but my sister said she can smell curry from this so i'd really need to live alone to actually use it. bummer

This perfume is beast mode of all beast mode fragrances I’ve ever smelled. It lasts a week on my pillow cases and jackets. It is a gourmand dream if you like coffee/breakfast smells. It’ll be fantastic in autumn/winter. I need to own all of Kerosene’s fragrances STAT!

It smells like coffee, but not coffee. It smells like ᑕOᖴᖴEE. Like some really processed frappuccino at starbucks with 20 pumps of random things added. I don't mind... I'm still waiting to get that curry note everyone is talking about

While many coffee fragrances lean into a "latte" aesthetic by diluting the bean with heavy florals or musks, Followed appears to double down on a dark, roasted reality, surrounding it with a decadent array of Caramel, Chocolate, and Vanilla. It remains to be seen if this gourmand powerhouse can provide a sophisticated wearing experience or if its notorious sillage makes it a liability in a functional rotation. Let’s see if this roasted giant has the substance to satisfy a true coffee enthusiast or if its legendary strength becomes an overbearing shadow. Opening: The opening is warm, sweet, and spicy. The primary notes I get are coffee, chocolate, caramel, and vanilla, with the coffee and chocolate leading the composition. The coffee is the immediate protagonist, delivering an astonishingly photorealistic portrayal of unground coffee beans that is dark, roasted, warm, and distinctly bitter. It effectively mimics the visceral experience of opening a fresh bag of coffee and inhaling the concentrated aroma within. Situated just beneath this blast of coffee is the chocolate, which presents as a bittersweet accord reminiscent of baker’s chocolate rather than a standard confectionery bar. The caramel operates as a supporting element from behind the lead notes, contributing a burnt, sticky sweetness that feels authentic and almost maple syrup-adjacent. Lastly, the vanilla folds in to provide a subtle creaminess. Meanwhile, hints of amber linger in the background to offer resinous depth and a sharp, cinnamon-like spiciness. In fact, everything to do with those notes remains remarkably static, making for a fairly linear fragrance experience. However, I pick up on a marked and noticeable dry woodiness in the base of this fragrance that reminds me of the oak used in Memoirs of a Trespasser by Imaginary Authors, or the guaiac wood used in By the Fireplace by Maison Martin Margiela. While there is no wood note in the official note breakdown, the perfumer, John Pegg, frequently uses high doses of woody aromachemicals like Iso E Super, which provides a cedar or oak-like fuzziness, and Ambermax, which adds a dry, scratchy, woody-amber power. Besides those aromachemicals, there could also be roasted pyrazines at play, which are the chemical compounds used to create the smell of roasted coffee, nuts, or popcorn. In the extreme concentrations that Followed clearly uses, these can cross over from smelling "edible" to smelling like charred wood or burnt embers, providing a smoky, structural backbone and an almost "burnt popcorn" accord. However, there is a distinct line between a pleasant aroma and a wearable fragrance; Followed is almost suffocating in its delivery, and its legendary reputation as a performance monster proves to be both a blessing and a curse. While the notes themselves are high quality, the sheer volume at which they are played makes the experience more of an atmospheric event than a personal accessory. All things considered, while I am glad to have finally braved the experience, it is not something I’ll be adding to my collection. The reviews aren’t lying. I received my bottle of Followed in the mail yesterday from The House of Kerosene website. As I opened the box I could get a whiff of sweet coffee off of the tissue paper, but it didn’t punch me in the face or anything. Very good packaging and I personally love the solid black bottle with the gold name plate and stamped lettering, very classy with an industrial twist. I sprayed the business card that was signed by John once. That was when the fragrance bounced off the card and struck me. To me, this smells like walking into the coffee serving area at a gas station when they’re freshly making new pots for customers (except they’ve been just dumping additional bags of grounds on top of the previously brewed/roasted piles of grounds). As you walk towards the deep dark coffee grounds being roasted someone is taking the chocolate syrup bottle and spraying it into one of your nostrils. Like if you took a handful of coffee beans smashed them up with a hammer and blowtorched them. Then proceeded to take caramel squares, chocolate shavings, and maple syrup and dumped it over the beans as they smoldered. Maybe this description comes off as negative, but as a black coffee lover, I’m intoxicated by this scent. This scent is the perfect blend of the highest quality coffee beans mixed with the touches of gourmand sweetnesses. I have just shy of 100 fragrances in my collection, with niche scents making up only around 8-10 of them, the others being designer and of course a couple clones. This is the first time I’ve smelled a fragrance that is so ridiculously photorealistic. It kind of makes me giddy inside when it hits my nose while walking, which is pretty much every step. I am excited to see friend’s and family’s reactions to this scent. I personally love it so far. I feel like I can already tell that this fragrance could be easily overdone. I only sprayed the back of my hand and my forearm once, so two sprays, and it’s all I can smell. I think anything more than 2 maybe 3 sprays and that’s where the infamous “curry” smell comes in. This is definitely something I think frag heads need to experience, but won’t be aligned with what everyone likes in a fragrance, that’s for sure. You really do have to want to smell like syrupy coffee and different to wear this scent. I think that if your aim is to be conforming and crowd pleasing this may not be for you. You gotta want it! Big fan. 9.8/10 Update: Alright, the strength on this stiff is kind of ridiculous. I pulled into the parking lot at work around 6:45 this morning, still dark out, 28 degrees Fahrenheit, and maybe a little windy. My coworker pulled up and parked 3 spots away from me upwind. I’m grabbing my lunchbox and other things out of my backseat. As he’s standing up out of his seat, not even fully out of the car yet, he says, “smells like syrup out here”. All I could do was laugh, I was still in a little bit of disbelief, so I waked in front of him and he confirmed that he smelled this scent, but did mention he could get a little bit of coffee too. I’m sitting at my desk as other coworkers come inside for the day. The first thing I get asked from the next person that walks by was, “Have you been eating pancakes recently?!” He mentioned that is was all he could smell when he walked in the door this morning outside. About 15 minutes ago I overheard two people that were talking to eachother mentions that they could smell sweet syrup and breakfast foods, “It smells so good though!” This is with one spray under each ear.. crazy. Another edit: Two women from downstairs came up to our offices saying they were looking for the source of the breakfast food smell.. they said they can smell it in the basement and the main floor, parts of the building I didn’t even walk through.

While that might be a slight exaggeration, let me be clear: the performance of this fragrance is unlike anything I have ever experienced. Here is my completely honest take on it. At the forefront, you're hit with a powerful coffee note. However, this isn't the nuanced, bright scent of a specialty roast. Instead, think of a robust, dark coffee you'd get from a busy café or a pre-ground supermarket blend, familiar and strong (for the coffee lovers, a 3+ months roasted coffee smell). Woven into this is an equally potent, creamy caramel, complemented by hints of whipped cream and a touch of dark chocolate. In the background, fainter notes whisper for attention. I can detect a subtle buttery popcorn, a dash of brown sugar, and the spicy-milky warmth of a chai latte. These are not prominent but add a lovely complexity to the gourmand profile. To say this is strong is an understatement. I am a collector of 'beast mode' fragrance, and my collection includes giants like Arabian Tonka, Megamare, Red Tobacco, Kirke, Sauvage Elixir, etc. This one is significantly stronger than all of them. It's not even a competition. Let me share my initial test. I applied one single spray before visiting my parents: Immediately, everyone in their large apartment could smell it, no matter which room they were in. My father, who was at the opposite end of the apartment taking a shower, commented on how strongly he could smell it (from inside the shower box). When they left for the supermarket later (while I remained at the house), they said the scent trail somehow followed them on their journey. The next morning, over 12 hours later, they said the house was still filled with the scent. My mother even said that after cleaning the bathroom with heavy-duty products, she could still smell the fragrance (I had not entered their bedroom or bathroom at all). From my personal experience, I do become nose-blind to every perfume after a while and this one is no different, though I catch whiffs of it in the air from time to time (does not happen with my other perfumes apart from megamare, but much weaker than this). However, based on the feedback from others, it's clear the fragrance is projecting very powerfully long after I stop noticing it myself. Initial Verdict & Ratings: I haven't worn this out in public yet, but I plan to update this review with feedback on compliments, real-world durability, and any other stories that will inevitably come with wearing this after a few weeks. Such a perversion of the olfactory properties of these sweet foods to which the notes had derived. Trust in what others have said -- the mileage is no doubt nuclear, tantamount to bathing in another bottle of fragrance with a single spray. Using only my sample stick provided in a 1ml decant, I proceeded to put what I can assume is only half of a spray onto my skin. In that, my hamartia was doing this act on a week day, when I would be at my job for seven hours. I don't consider my job to be crowded necessarily, but there is a large population in the building. While going through halls, I would hear the comments of "It smells like... like maple syrup?". I had a biblical break of luck however; one of my bosses had been known to sometimes use gourmand cleaning materials. As no one had determined I was the source of this affront of God, they indulged in sharing what they thought of the scent to me. The consensus that had apparently been arrived at was that it smelled as though a breakfast was being made. One of maple syrup, pancakes, coffee, and caramel. Somewhat pleasant, actually. Simply too much, to the point where it could almost be considered assault. I did take to one of my co-workers saying that it smelled like curry. He was the only one in saying this. Generally, I tend to agree with what the common statement was among my co-workers. Pleasant scent, however it was simply too much. I truly have faith in my belief that a bottle of this could last half a decade. However, if you do make the decision to purchase this and opt to use the atomizer, I believe I know how to mute the scent somewhat: Spray the night proceeding when you want to wear it, spread that spray on your body, then take a shower. Use soap and everything, it will stay, believe me. After that, simply sleep and it will be at a somewhat reasonable level the following day. Currently, my sample sits in the top of my closet in a faux-hermetic Ziplock back, that of which is entombed inside my old cigar box. Even with merely a touch of the cigar box, without reason, the smell will permeate on to my hands. It truly is a marvel. 8.5/10

From the very first spray, Followed turned out to be so intense that it made me cough; its composition struck me as unpolished, sharp-edged, raw, almost rough — enough to provoke that reaction. It is certainly a fragrance that fills any space you’re in: staying in the car, even with the windows open, was impossible. The scent is that of strong roasted coffee, with a slight hint of sweetness. As for sheer power, it fell short of my expectations — probably exaggerated — based on what I had heard about it: the sillage, while potent, is not the strongest I’ve ever experienced. After a few hours, I figured out what it reminded me of: it felt very similar to the opening of Terre d’Hermès Eau de Parfum Intense, which, however, has a much shorter lifespan and was launched three years later. After six hours, the fragrance was still quite present, though its strength had softened. It gave me the impression of being rather monotone, with a single persistent note of slightly sweet, burnt coffee. After twelve hours, it was significantly weaker. It’s worth noting, however, that its longevity on fabrics and in the air is truly impressive. There isn’t much to say about the evolution of this perfume: in reality, it doesn’t evolve. It simply fades slowly, always remaining the same. And that’s why, in the long run, it became a bit tiring for me. Yet, after almost thirteen hours from application, I actually received compliments! Once the fragrance became softer, it apparently turned more pleasant for those around me. In the end, although in my experience it didn’t turn out to be the most powerful fragrance, it is undeniably long-lasting and manages to make its presence felt for an incredibly long time.

Unfortunately (or maybe not), the talks of this fragrance being nuclear seems to be overblown to me. I only sprayed it 1-2 times from a small decant vial onto my hand but still... the reputation of this scent had me bracing for the worst of the worst. Goes to show that you should always take everything with a grain a salt. Maybe I'll eat my words later on, but we'll see. Scent wise, this is a one of a kind, delicious gourmand — if follow is a cup of black coffee or roasted beans, followed is the amalgamation of smells in a diner during breakfast rush hour — coffee, chocolate chip pancakes, maple syrup, and vanilla. Hands down one of the most realistic gourmands I've smelled. Lucky for me, I don't get the curry note that many others on here have (fingers crossed). Definitely some of Pegg's best work. I encourage anyone who is scared of trying this to not take the reviews at face value. Use your best judgement. If you know you have a sensitive nose, then yeah maybe this will come off quite strong. But if not, this is strong, but nowhere near as potent as most people claim it to be (at least to me). EDIT: I do get the curry note in the drydown and not the good kind, but the kind that smells like armpits after a full day out in 90 degree weather. The opening and mid are great, which is all that matters to me, but this house always seems to struggle with their dry downs. The longevity of this is definitely eternal, but again, I personally think the claims of it "filling a house" etc.. are overexaggerated.

This one is an expeirence that is different for everyone. Wore it on my second day at the new workplace. Sprayed it in the morning and off to work i was. In the first hour at the office, my boss walked into the office and asked what kind of coffee is it that i drink that smells that strong, and well, it wasn't coffee. Then about another hour later the guys from Facility and Maintenance dept. came over and said that something smells like burnt cables and they should check. I had no ideea how to explain to them that it is actually my fragrance that they might be picking up, so that was interesting. Then as colleagues transited our office, they complained about smelling lovage. Yes, lovage, the plant that you use while making soup. The smell lingered in the office for at least 3 whole days, and i only sprayed that thing twice. Needless to say i was asked never to wear it again at the office, but i personally love the smell. Very intense coffee-caramel smell, to me it smells like walking into a place where coffee beans are roasted. Beastmode fragrance, when everyone says that 1-2 sprays are enough, they are not exaggerating. This has a WOW factor, as in it won't go unnoticed, but feelings will be mixed. Smell: 6/10 Longevity: 10/10 Projection: 10/10 Price: 5/10 (based on purchase price of 180 euro for 100ml bottle)

One spray of Followed and I enter a building, everyone wonders what the smell of maple syrup is. Everyone has noticed and is either attracted or agitated by the smell, and to a significant degree; people are accusing others of putting pancakes in the microwave, workers have started concernedly searching for the source of the smell. The entire building smells like buttery, Aunt Jemima syrup on some hot flapjacks. I'm afraid to tell people it's me. Old people are coming in and saying "oh who's food is that? That reminds me, we should get breakfast!" It's been hours and everyone is still in a fervor. A worker and friend of mine said "Are you sure you didn't eat anything for breakfast? Every time you come around I just get hungrier and hungrier" I can't blow my cover. I will never wear this again in that building. They can't know that it was me who smelled like a maple sugar cookie across the entire block. That aside it smells pretty good, a couple people picked up on a burnt note but most people liked it. This smells different on certain people, my body tends to sweeten whatever goes on it. If this perfume evolves on your body like mine and you're looking to smell infectiously and noticeably sweet, appetizing, delicious, feel free to try Followed, but personally, I think I'd like to not smell like I'm on the menu.

one of the coolest pieces of my collection. i got it for 60 bucks from facebook marketplace with about 98% full. very happy with that. lets get to the scent. i have a love/hate relationship with this perfume. it is an instant headache inducer. i keep this in my closet with the cap on, and the closet still smells like coffee. this shit is more than nuclear. i love how it smells. roasted bitter coffee with sweetness. however, EVERYONE around me hates it. everyone around me says it smells like curry or spices. i do get what they mean, but i smell coffee and french toast more. i try to explain to them it doesnt smell like curry but everyone around me disagrees. they hate this scent with a passion. i wore ONE spray of this to a local fragrance shop, and i couldn’t smell any perfume there. my nose was that occupied. everyone in the perfume shop asked me what i was wearing, and then i showed them. most of them complimented me. i sprayed this in my car once and the scent stayed for a week. this lasted on my skin for 28 hours, it stayed strong after a 30 minute swim and two showers. i don’t ever think there will be a perfume as strong as this. i like it, but people around me hate it, sometimes including me, so i’ll give it a 7/10. will probably sell my bottle after the upcoming winter.
