Keriver Vetiver

Found a 100ml bottle of this for sale at a boutique, and decided to blind buy based off of the note description. I was looking for a 'light incense' scent, and this really delivered. I really love this scent and wear it the most for it's nice woodsy warmth, and bright grapefruit notes. This perfume performs well over skin or on fabric, it's not very bold or heady so I like to really layer it. The sillage is fine for me, intimate but not so subtle as to be invisible. The longevity is unexpectedly long for a citrus forward scent, but maybe that's because the vetiver remains. I might have found my signature scent with this vetiver, it really does everything for me–with the benefit of coming from a small niche brand so it doesn't remind me of someone else when I wear it. I am a woods lover so I may be biased. Keriver feels reminiscent of stepping into a fancy yoga studio that smells of cedar burning incense and zesty candles–there is something kind of new age about it. All around it is very comforting, while being clean and earthy.

2024/1/15 Imagine if Sycomore and Private Label had a baby that favored the former... that's the vibe I'm getting from Keriver these days. 2020/2/16 Keriver starts with a crisp, clean, dominant combination of Citrus and Vetiver, backed with balancing touches of Cardamom, Incense, Cedar, and Papyrus. It gets a tad bit darker as it dries down, losing the crisp freshness as it goes, ending in a dominant Vetiver skin scent. With one spray on the back of my hand, I just pick it up at arm's length... a really friendly spring and summer woody scent... a pleasure to pick up on yourself or someone nearby, especially early-on. It doesn't smell overly-complicated, so an easy wear day-to-day. If you're looking for a light Vetiver, that's not too expensive but still smells quality, this might do the trick. I originally got it as a sample with some other Kerzon home products (ordered directly from them), and am compelled to order a bottle from Beauty Habit.
