La Fede Opera Noir L'Or

This is indeed a very well made fragrance. If you like Atomic Rose, this is very similar in texture but a diff twist with florals, they are similar in the style, not the scent itself. I adore this. EDIT: I had to revisit this and I'm surprised no one talks about this anymore. This is such a STUNNING perfume. I think what I smell most is the narcissus and cyclamen with some darker velvety texture in the background. I like comparing fragrances to other to give people some kind of idea of what it can smell like. So to me, if you like Atomic Rose, Lalique Amethyst, FK Oud Satin Mood, DKNY Delicious Night you will most likely enjoy this too. They have similar berries or base notes but the florals are so unique in this, like I said I think it's the narcissus and cyclamen. It's a perfect scent for a date night - warm, inviting, enveloping, so comforting that i often wear it to bed. I see why people compare it to TM Noir de Noir but this one is so much sweeter/fruitier/floral and so silky smooth, not like the cold and harsh NdN. As for Matiere Noire (I haven't smelt it) I heard Youtubers saying this one is slightly different, lighter and they do like it a lot, even though they didn't like MN. So don't expect this to be a clone. I snapped mine for £16 at Notino and it's prob my bargain of the year, the quality is unbelievable and it's truly addictive. The lasting power is really good but it's not a beast mode.

I bought this perfume on a whim, I love oud, rose, incense, and patchouli - this has the potential for a 'love' and it didn't disappoint, IT IS STUNNING. I get tons of compliments, especially coming from my friends who are from the Middle East. I consider that a win. I don't get much narcissus and cyclamen, nor do I get any fruity or sweet notes (caramel). What I do get is a beautiful musky rose note with some darker velvety texture interplaying with the incense, oud, and patchouli, it's beautifully balanced. It's a perfect scent for a date night - warm, inviting, enveloping, so very sexy and comforting. I do live in a warm/dry climate, I'm interested to see how it wears in warmer weather. For comparison, I have TM Noir de Noir (from when it was first released, original formulation) but this one is so silky smooth, NdN has a cold note, which I like but not for a date night. I actually prefer this perfume. Sillage is moderate, and longevity is excellent. I am very intrigued to try the other scents from this house.

First, a quick commendation: Khadlaj has truly perfected the pressurized atomizer—it offers a marvelous diffusion experience. However, my expectations for La Fede Opera Noir L'or were significantly higher based on its complex note breakdown. REMIX...I dragged this composition at first, but then I gave it a 2nd spin. There’s no soapiness or bitterness here—just a smooth blend of blackcurrant and florals that work beautifully together. Since there's only one review I'll put in my two sense on this one since I really like it. This is what I would call a gothic summer perfume. A dewy, damp fruity floral that feels a bit cooling. A bit morbid but a bit like a rainy graveyard. The wet rose incense oud and pachouli give it a lot of earthiness and the black currant and jasmine make it more playful. I've never really smelled anything similar to this. Very unique and really good in the heat.

I don’t get blackcurrant at all, it dries down pretty quickly settling into a powdery woody floral. The base notes are to die for!! I love, love, love it. Gone are the comfy cozy powdery florals and out emerges a femme fatale of incense and benzoin. She is sexy, smooth and irresistible. I don’t understand why people aren’t raving about this one like other ME fragrances. Top drawer, see it, buy it.
