Maison Flor Oud

I don't know what's going on but I smell none of the listed notes. I see rose in the list: well, I've smelt "rose" in three forms so far: real rose (too simple and feminine too me, although nice), creamy-almost-hidden rose which doesn't even smell like one in the first place (LV eLVes), dried/dark rose as if the dried up brown rose petals still give some smell (I doubt). If anything, then Flor Oud includes the last version or some derivative of it. For me, it is not a rose scent, it's not even floral scent. It has a very interesting oud in it, or some derivative of oud, which is dark, so it is an oud scent, and there is something slightly floral only that is bound together with that overall darkness. It is not strong and distinctive but a little weak and something very enjoyable to smell from my hand and shirt. I can say that this is oud because my other Khadlaj scent Mystical Indian Oud Pure is so much stronger in oud and it is the same thing, just weaker here. Really nice overall! Considering the possible price it is a very good deal for those interested in oud or oriental things. I could never thought I'd like this stuff but I do. I got this bottle without any testing beforehand, very good deal. I have bought both Khadlaj perfumes like that, both are truly wins.

After spending a small fortune on high-end, niche fragrances (especially since my perfume hobby amped-up over the past couple of years), I began listening to the noise about clone, or dupe fragrances. I'm dipping my toes into the ME fragrance pool. I love mixed white floral fragrances, especially when tuberose, jasmine, rose, orange blossom are in the mix. Ordinarily, I dislike super-citrusy fragrances. Given this and the reviews, I was a bit concerned about MFO. However to my nose, the opening mandarin (citrus) note is not super sharp, or screechy. Any citrus opening quickly blends with a lovely floral accord. I definitely detect a bit of rose, a slightly green (perfect) jasmine that gives a hint of indolic tuberose. And there's orange blossom certainly. Not sure how pear presents. But the dry down is balsamic and beautiful with a creamy, slightly sweet, faintly smoky, floral-amber-sandalwood accord. The base-note florals are gorgeous. Cannot stop sniffing my wrists. This stuff is nice. I just wish the fragrance's performance was a bit better because silage is absent (which is okay) and duration is poor.

I have been loving this since it came out, very orangy citrusy with some dusty gritty oud/smoke. A very strange and unique combination and I haven't smelt anything similar. The only thing that came to my mind was when I recently smelt Rose Exposed Tom Ford, and the very dry down reminded me of Flor Oud, that dusty smell mixed with orange blossom. I didn't like Rose Exposed at all but I love Flor Oud.

This is indeed unique.. at least for me. Never smelled anything similar in terms of fragrance. It opens fresh like mix of neroli and pear and stays like this for a few hours. The dry down however is a bit more masculine.. it’s funny but reminds me a bit of Dior Dune pour Homme. Overall I think it’s a great addition to my collection and great value for money.

I like this one! It's tangy! (In the spring/summer I wear fruity scents like Sublime by Tori Burch, La Vie est Belle L'elixir.) I'm not getting any Oud in this fragrance.🤷🏻♀️ This is gonna be an empty bottle soon. Yummmm !!!!!!!! 4/23/25 month later Edit: Now that it has aged - it's a hard pass!! That weird incense middle eastern dry down has me wanting to trash this one. Not a fan of the dry down. Yuck.

Don't be fooled by the name, Flor oud. To my nose, this fragrance is quite green. It reminds me a little of a more masculine version of Zara's Waterlily tea dress perfume. I love this type of perfume for rainy days.

It took months but this settled into being a lovely, everyday Spring scent. Nice to layer with as well. I don't plan to re-purchase, because I have others in my collection that I reach for more. Gorgeous bottle.

I liked it at first but deleted my Comment because (see below) Edited a month later to add... the sweetness seems to have gone away and now it’s so sour. I got a sample of roses vanille and they are so similar but even that one is super oud and sour. I’m kind of not liking it now...i feel it’s masculine but then again i like sweet scents. Some of these perfumes arrive and they’re absolutely not ready to judge until they’ve had time to sit.

This is extremely strong, sour, sharp, off-putting. Super potent white floral, and not in a good way. I believe Daniel Rene may call this vieja cuchi. The drydown is when it starts to become a little more bearable, but that opening is almost repulsive. I will give it time to mascerate, but this is not a safe blind buy at all, and I seriously doubt this has anything to do with Stellar Times. Spray at your own risk, and definitely at the risk of being hated by the people around you - this scent is nuclear. Bonus points: beautiful, high-quality box packaging with a gorgeous niche-style glass bottle. Top-notch quality, looks very expensive on the shelf.

Clearly a clone/twist of LV Stellar Times. FYI Stellar Times smells like sparkling/effervescent rosé wine. Khadlaj Flor Oud smells like French Avenue Lumière Elle (clone of LV Stellar Times) with a very-mild addition of sweet creamy vanilla comprising of only 10% of this composition; just enough so that the composition is noticeably creamier and crosses the dry/sweet threshold into only mildly-sweet (whereas Lumière Elle has no sweetness and is noticeably dry). Lumiere Elle has very prominent fizzy/effervescent aldehydes, but I've just recently become spontaneously anosmic/nose-blind to effervescent aldehydes this past month (I tested across 4 effervescent aldehydic fragrances), so I can't smell them anymore in Lumiere Elle, and importantly, I can't test whether Khadlaj Flor Oud has them. What a cruel occurrence - effervescent aldehydes are my favourite note/accord in the world of fragrance. The effervescent aldehydes are central and vital to the Stellar Times DNA, so if someone else can comment on whether Khadlaj Flor Oud has prominent effervescence/fizziness, that'd be great. They make the difference between a sparkling/effervescent rosé wine with an uplifting and novel fizzy sensation, versus a flat rosé wine that smells overly sharp and uninteresting. I've smelt LV Stellar Times once in-store, and French Avenue Lumiere Elle was very close (90%+, maybe identical, I didn't compare side-by-side). In my opinion and preferences, Stellar Times is the 3rd best LV after Pacific Chill and Symphony, assuming you can smell the prominent effervescence - if you can't smell the effervescence, it's not that good in general. Because I'm currently anosmic to effervescent aldehydes, I can't assess Khadlaj Flor Oud's similarity to Stellar Times or Lumiere Elle. Khadlaj Flor Oud has incredible performance, bordering beast mode. Spring appropriate. Mildly-feminine.

I truly love this perfume. There is a distinct smokiness that I think some of you are either not smelling or leaving out of your reviews. This is a rich ambery smoky floral. I'm not super familiar with oud fragrances, but I think it's strong enough in this to be different than your typical paper thin light designer fragrance. The florals are grown up, but not mature. It's just incredible. And yes it is slightly masculine because of the oud. The oud is the best part 10/10

Agreed 100%. I honestly love this, it's bright and citrus yet warm at the same time. Very unique, definitely not a dupe of anything. I get a burst of mandarin right of the top along with a bit of fluffiness. Once it starts warming up I get that sweet pear along with a soft sandlewood, the rose is very faint. The jasmine in combination with the mandarin gives it such a bright happy feeling. I just love love love this. Very unique 👌

This one has gotten so much hype and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Unfortunately, there is one note that doesn't work well with me. Somehow, the green mandarin becomes screechy. It smells like sour, wet, dark wood and some flowers. This sour note is ruining it for me. It feels heavy and nauseating. I am going to let it sit and hopefully this smooths away.

To my nose, this is a clear dupe for Levant by Ormond Jayne. In Flor Oud, the citrus is a bit sharper and more bitter than in Levant and not as nicely blended, but otherwise a very close dupe. Flor Oud has better longevity, but I prefer Levant because it is much more elegant and put together. The sharp citrus in Flor Oud is a bit headachey for me.
