Oud Afgano

Oud Afgano by Khalis is a distinctive, unisex fragrance designed for special occasions rather than everyday wear. Seems I’m the only one to smell a chocolate note in this. I need train my nose: that s probably the tobacco note the others refer to. But if I m to relate it to tobacco then it’s not the dark smoky and little pungent one, rather the warming, round, sweet and “vanilla” one of some cigars or grandpas pipe, that non smokers can tolerate and even appreciate. So if your nose is untrained like mine, “dark chocolate oud” can probably help you picture this. Or wood+Easter egg unboxing :) Like it a lot, so soothing and relaxing. Great price point (barely 15€ in a Dubai mall - regret not buying more!). Lasts maybe not a lot but no complains.

Just bought this. After finishing a bottle of mystery tobacco and amouage Interlude. I would say it's about in the middle. You get the initial hit of tobacco like a softer version of red tobacco. Then the oud, spice and smoky incense status playing in the background. Personally it's right up my street. Quite dark and heavy but not too old man. Definitely recommend Edit: Although it's a very well balanced fragrance. Unfortunately the longevity is very poor. Barely 1 hour. Such a shame considering the standard of the fragrance

I blind bought this one after being intrigued by the name and description. Hardly any info/reviews online and after being really disappointed with a previous blind buy where the jasmine was way too strong, I was concerned about the jasmine/rose notes mentioned. But when Oud Afgano arrived I was very pleased. Smooth, smokey, woody, and the florals are very subtle. If you like Ameer Al Oud Intense Oud or Raghba Wood Intense, you'll probably like this one.

this is a rum-spices-tobacco and sandalwood fragrance, a hint of sweetness that holds the roughness of the tobacco and pushes high the deep boozy note of the rum, it smells elegant, high pedegree with an opulent status, the longevity in my skin is 7 hours and even after a shower I can smell the rum of this wonderful fragrance, I really like it and I am happy I bought it.

I really enjoy this. It has a familiar darkness to black afgano, however it is far less green and dry. Tobacco is very prominent, a dense, dark tobacco leaf. Very masculine and addictive. 10/10 Performance is mild but the fragrance is good quality. I would say it’s a less obnoxious version of red tobacco.

Subtle with no great performance but a truly stunning scent much alike TF TO. hardly a 1:1 but it’s got enough aspects to be interesting. Over spray and this will serve an intimate occasion well. A rather sexy warm tobacco dominant scent.

I recently obtained a 100 ml bottle of this fragrance from on online vendor “The Oud Store”. Khalis makes some great fragrances for the price point. The list of notes pictured is a pretty accurate assessment of when you can detect when you experience it. A bright, smooth aromatic tobacco, Oud , warm & resinous spices & some fleeting florals all blended very very well. It does not create a large projection, but the scent left on your skin is tenacious and lingers on as a warm resinous spicy tobacco. It is only lightly smokey, and the Oud is not the major player here but is present. It is not an aggressive Oud & is not barnyard, or indolic , Or anamalic..... It is more on the resinous/woody side. The florals are done well, and even though rose is listed, i was almost relieved to not be able to detect it in the fragrance. Overall, it is quite a complex and very rich fragrance for the price point! It is quite unique & if you are a lover of incense fragrances, Orientals & exotics that contain some of these notes, you will be pleased! The Verdict: I Dig It!

I haven't smelled this perfume but by notes and by name I can suggest one Attar from House of Ajmal, India. I purchased 'Super Royal Afgano' from ajmal and it was an amazing perfume. Opening is Rum-Whisky type, some liquor type which is actually an extension of rich Tobacco note. Along side I smell sweet like amber smell with some smokey feel parallelly. There is Rose in this which is not feminine. Hints of Oud and base has woody, cedar kind of smell. It transitions from Sour,Sweet tobacco-Whiskey to Sweet, Woody Ambery little sourish and herbs like. It is very sensual smell mostly preferred for winter. The sillage is great and lasting is great. Projects great for first few hours. P.S. I know this review is irrelevant for Khalis but I wanted to highlight that the combination is a winner and not a mass pleaser but very different, unique and rich.

Very strange opening but gets nicer as time goes on. Used this for most of 2024. Very affordable. Not sure I’d ever buy again, there’s nothing very remarkable or interesting about it.

Dry down very similar, almost exactly alike to Tobacco Oud. Opening is a mess though, smells like chemical floor cleaner
