160th Anniversary Limited Edition Original Musk Oil

I was thinking about purchasing this one about 5 years ago and simply couldn ́t find the store in my country. Now when I moved, at first I actually thought I ́m purchasing the Kiehl ́s Original Musk. Even though I can ́t wait to try the Original one, I ́m happy to finally have this in my collection too. I literally couldn ́t stop sniffing my wrist after applying it for the first time! I like to use Kiehl ́s 160th Anniv. scent on those days when simple scents like jasmine oil or BS white musk aren ́t enough, but Chanel ́s or Dior ́s are too much. It really is almost every ocasion scent - earthy, intimate, not so musky as I expected, but still enough to be on the more masculine side - but it still makes me feel very sexy and ladylike when wearing it. Feels like wearing garter belt under your clothes - even though others can ́t see it, you know and it makes you feel more confident. Smooth, animalistic, but not too much - but this can depend on the skin. I can ́t smell any florals at all on me. Very warm, perfect for winter and autumn, can ́t wait to see how it would feel wearing it in summer. (Update: use sparingly in summer! :)) Lasted about 5 hours on me, but than again, I tend to use rather less than more.

This will forever be (so long as they don't reformulate) the BEST unisex musk hands down. The EDT is nice, but isn't really as good in comparison. The oil can more easily be layered, or worn on its own. It can stand as an everyday, and is also so special I can see this as an event sort of thing too. THIS ...THIS is magical. The sent trail, the bubble ..UGH. I can't begin to say how many times I've been asked what I was wearing when I had this on, or someone inching closer and closer to then ask what smells so good? The oil can be worn with literally anything in your fragrance collection without it clashing. It'll add a subtle warmth...maybe a little sexier touch if that's what you're looking for. Not sure if Kiehl's is making this anymore - the website as of a few minutes ago had it in stock, after I'd say over two years+ of not having it. Now, out of stock again ?? If you have any of these bottles, or were lucky enough to get it in the window they did have it a moment ago, you've got a GEM on your hands!

My husband has worn Jovan Musk For Men cologne exclusively since we married in 1978. Over the years we have both noted that, although it retains it's original scent, it has grown progressively weaker over the years; less longevity and sillage.. I recently discovered Kiehl's 160th Anniversary Musk Oil. I have found that by decanting his Jovan Musk for Men into an atomizer (ridiculously inexpensive...an EIGHT ounce bottle can be found for $25 or so) and topping it off with just a small bit of this Musk Oil, shaking it well before each use, it replicates the scent of vintage 70's Jovan Musk for men. It lasts on him 10+ hours, trailing an intoxicating soft sillage of 5-6 feet. Heaven in a bottle...

Very long lasting smooth clean yet slightly animalic musk though not heavily musky. I wish it had sillage (oil version that is, edt is not the same but sharper). It is very snug and cosy smelling. Nothing like other musks i have smelt. I got this after it reminded me of my previous alsation dog her scent was similar to this though muskier. Very comforting.

I have had four of the standard/original 100ml and two of the anniversary. It’s the same eau de toilette in all instances. No difference in notes or performance. It’s was just a nicely labeled commemorative edition bottle.

Nothing like the smell of a musky animalistic scent on a woman. This was probably the scent cavemen was drawn to back in the day. Me man, you woman. Me carry you to cave for some boom boom.
