I love this creamy fig scent. Beautiful, refreshing, easy to wear perfume that is log lasting on the skin. I also layer this with the matching body lotion which makes it last even longer. Great for relaxing over the weekend, great for the office and great for every day wear.. One of my favourite fig scents followed by Philosykos by Diptyque. Also resembles Jo Malone's wild fig and cassis, however kiehl's fig scent is so much more affordable than jo malone and just as good. Update: just went to kiehl's in my city and they told me this was being discontinued, I bought the last two bottles they had as I really like this fragrance, it's uplifting and smooth fig and sage....I hate it when companies discontinue products we love, then we have to stock up!!

The scent that got me hooked on fig. I tried this in the store on my arm. At first, I thought it was weird and off putting. But I gradually kept smelling my arm and each time I was drawn more into it. I've ordered a bottle of Womanity, because I think it's an easier way to do a fig perfume, but this one is definitely intriguing. Update: It's three years later and I have had a small 30ml in my collection for a while now, and actually I find I reach for this more often than Womanity. I regret not buying a larger bottle, as I am heartbroken that it's been discontinued. I always thought this was a very underrated perfume. I much prefer this to Philosykos, which gets so much hype. It's the perfect balance of green, herbal and creamy.

I am wearing the cologne tester of this right now, spritzed on twice in the past four hours (thanks to my generous boss!). It reminds me strongly of Laura Mercier Eau Gourmande Fig. Heavy fig top notes which never really fade away but more give way to a nuttiness mingled with green notes which is rather enchanting. Herbal (that'd be the sage & thyme notes), green, nutty, figgy (I know that's not a word). Very unisex, very warm, very snuggly. This is fig the way I like it, not chokingly heavy, just right. Good longevity on my skin for a cologne but then I'd expect that from Kiehl's - colognes really do not last long on me, (nor do many edts) but this one has edt strength staying power on my dry fair skin.

I love this aromatic body mist from Kiel’s. To me, it just smells like a fresh spring or early summer day in Northern Italy. I tend to layer it it with vanilla scents in the fall and winter and on its own in the summertime. It lies very close to the body and needs reapplying throughout the day and is definitely more delicate than most other scents I own. I wish it weren’t discontinued and I’ve been having a hard time finding a substitute. Thankfully I was able to acquire a few unused bottles from EBay. If anyone has a suggestion for a substitute, I’d be grateful!

Fig scents have become something of an inadvertent specialty of mine the past few years, I don't know what it is about the fresh greenness of fig I find so appealing...but it's become a real favourite. This kiehls scent is no exception brilliantly bright n breezy citrus and fresh green sweetness pretty good strength too for a cologne I very much enjoyed it.

If you like a very light linear sweet fig fragrance then this is for you. Nothing special thou...

I received a 1.5 ml spray sample of this from a fellow member and thought I would give it a try today. I applied 1 spray to my right and left antecubital fossa (AKA "elbow pit"). For the first 5 to 10 minutes the fresh, spicy, and slightly woody sage with a little thyme is what is most predominant. Then as it settles down the scent becomes less sharp and the fig leaf almost seems to soften and sweeten this scent a little. Although this scent is a fresh, clean, crisp scent it still has a warmth to it that makes it very comforting. In my opinion this is a very nice scent. It reminds me of being in a spa that is outdoors surrounded by a beautiful herb garden. It really seems to have a relaxing aromatherapy quality to it that I enjoy. Now I only could smell this for a little over an hour where I sprayed it, but I am sure if you layered this with the matching body lotion you could get better longevity out of it. Also results of longevity and silliage could very from person to person, so don't let this review stop you from trying it by any means. For me, it was definitely worth sampling and I will definitely revisit my sample again and experiment with it.

I was never very sure about this one and to be quite honest, I didn't love it the first time I put my nose on it. I was never a big fan of fig based perfumes. For some strange reason though, it is part of my perfume collection. I usually prefer to wear it during Spring or Summer, as a light non offending office perfume. Average projection, average longevity. it is quite sweet and creamy. I usually layer it with dior homme. After applying the dior homme masterpiece, I spray a tiny layer of Fig Leaf and Sage. It is discontinued. this was my first scent. I enjoyed this on my very first sniff of it and still do, even though it has been replaced. it smells fresh and green, very pleasant. my only grudge is that it doesn't project very well, and if it does, not for very long. bought it two years ago at a kiehls store in sacramento I believe for $60. a good buy, but could have been a little less expensive.

Pleasant, but boring... Fico di Amalfi is much better

I got Fig Leaf & Sage in a swap some time ago, thinking it would be a safe bet for me since I usually love everything with fig or fig leaf in it, and I also like herbal notes a lot. What could go wrong? So I was pretty disappointed to find it is a dead ringer for the only other interpretation of fig I've ever actively disliked: Thierry Mugler's Womanity. I always thought it was the caviar note that turned me off in that one, but it seems it's mainly just the way the fig note comes out there, and in this one as well. It's hard to describe, and of course extremely subjective, but something about it just really rubs me the wrong way - I've given it plenty of chances in many different circumstances (weather, mood, occasion) but every time I've had the impulse to scrub it off. God knows I've loved much sweeter scents than this one, even sweeter fig scents (I'm really into Roger & Gallet's Fleur de Figuier, for instance), but here the sweetness seems sickly, kind of repulsive even. Luckily, it isn't quite as bad as Womanity, where the salty aspect makes matters even worse, while the herbal aspect in this one is quite nice and offers some relief. But all the same, this is doing less than nothing for me, so I'll try to swap it with someone who can appreciate it more. Because I'm sure this is a "it's not you, it's me" kind of situation: I don't think this is a bad fragrance, it's just not my taste at all.

Some herbs figure frequently in aromatic colognes: basil, tarragon, and anise, are a few examples. In Kiehl's AROMATIC BLENDS: FIG LEAF & SAGE, the two named components seem initially about equally important, but the sage becomes stronger and stronger, eventually taking over the composition. Whenever I wear this scent, probably because sage figures in so few other culinary creations familiar to me, I think of turkey dinner at Thanksgiving time. Yes, I do believe that sage is a major player in poultry seasoning! The sage in FIG LEAF & SAGE smells powdery, not like fresh-picked leaves. It actually wafts very similarly to the scent of a just-opened jar of sage powder. The fig smells initially creamy, but as the sage grows louder, the fig fades away, eventually leaving this dusty green aura, exactly like the fuzzy lint-like texture of an old bottle of sage. Everyone always says that one's entire spice cabinet should be switched out every couple of years, but who really does that? Instead, rarely used herbs such as sage acquire that lintish look, making one wish that one had switched it out, but being that the bottle is only reached for on the very day when it is needed, it goes into the stuffing as is. The smell is not off--nothing like mold--but the appearance is slightly suspicious. I do enjoy wearing FIG LEAF & SAGE now and then, but I probably won't need to replace it until I've reached the bottom of the old bottle of sage powder in my spice drawer!

These figs have been lightly grilled so they are extra sweet, caramelized, and their edges are beautifully golden brown and crispy! Woooo..smells like heaven. I'm wearing Fig Leaf & Sage on a cool foggy morning, and it smells so perfect for the weather, for this moment. The fig(leaf?) here is sweet and almost crisp, though it Is also soft, green (but not TOO green), and earthy as well. Paired so thoughtfully with the traces of aromatic herbs, the fig note pops brightly and warmly, but is never heavy. There is something subtle in the presence of the sage that makes this fig unique, almost resinous. Woody. The fig here completely avoids succumbing to that sharp/bitter ozonic rain-like quality that fig leaf sometimes has in perfume. It's admittedly a tough one to describe, but very easy to wear. Could be great for the office, for meditation, or for anything casual. My boyfriend likes it on himself as well as on me. This scent reminds me of hiking in the Presidio National Park in California, with its cool, foggy, dew-drenched mornings. As grey light envelopes the hills, the breeze is filled with the magical perfume of all things alive and growing in the surreal dream-like landscape. Nature trail anyone? Don't forget to roll your socks up to protect for ticks. Fig Leaf & Sage projects like a skin scent in cooler weather. Will have to re-test in warmer weather. Longevity is average: lasts until well after the fog has burned away.

I'm really enjoying wearing this. It's really unlike anything I've ever owned before - the sage note is quite unusal to me, although it does remind me a little of some Jo Aalone fragrances I tried one - perhaps something with basil in it? I think it's light and refreshing- perfect for summer! Someone told me I smellt a bit like a Thai curry - although to me the fragrance conjures up an image of a country garden in the early evening, after a bout of summer rain. I'm finding it lingers for a long time too. It makes me feel fresh and vibrant :)

So pretty! It smells exactly like the name states- fig and sage. The fig is creamy and almost delicious, while the sage adds a unique twist. While I do love this fragrance, I am very disappointed with the sillage and longevity. If they had a smaller/cheaper perfume bottle (like a 1 oz), I'd definitely purchase the fragrance and the matching lotion. I can't justify spending $75 on something that doesn't last, though. Edit- They do have a 1oz now. It's $40, and I purchased a bottle.

I love fig fragrances, no matter what their take on fig is, so needless to say I really like this. However, it's the least earthy and fresh of figs, it's sweet, spicy, gourmand. A Christmas cake of a fig fragrance. Sage would have suggested a herby earthlessness to this, but don't expect this. Average sillage. Don't care either way for the bottle.Well priced.

It's a personal fragrance. It's for YOU. The scent sticks close to your body. Spray a little on your collar, in your hair and clothes, and it will last hours and hours. Slightly feminine but I find the scent so interesting I can't help myself. If you find it doesn't last long on your skin...you might have dry skin.

Smells like wild flowers, could be from the herbs. The fig leaves adds a greeness to it. It's not citrusy at all from the bergamot and citron. I normally can pick out the bergamot but not in this. Unsual but in a good way.

This was in my gym bag 10 years ago. I loved the fresh herbal characteristics of this fragrance. I found the fig very sensual. This was well before the present day explosion of so many niche brands doing fig scents.

roasted figs sprinkled with fresh fig leaf. this perfume is the proof that gourmand does not only mean chocolate and sugar. to me it is yummy, paradoxically green and sweet. unusual, cheerful, try it!

It's a nice fig fume, one of the sweet ones, at least after the dry down. But to me it was much too close to Womanity, which is more interesting because of the salty notes, which FLS lacks.

Love this fragrance. I find it much fresher than Womanity, and not too sweet. Maybe its my skin chemistry, but I don't find it sweet, and the herbal sage and salty notes come to the fore.
