Cabana

Cabana opens with refreshing minty leaves, accompanied by a hint of cut hay, evoking the image of a secluded shack on a sultry beach. Here, the earth seems to breathe warmth into the air; however, it lacks the expected marine or salty notes, leaving one longing for that final dimension. Over time, a nuanced sweetness emerges in its woody heart, well-balanced by the grounding bitterness of vetiver and galbanum. Later the scent deepens into a rooty, dry, smoky aura — like stepping into an exotic sauna where the wood has absorbed years' worth of stories and warmth. This final evolution carries a slight clue of the 80s, with a subtle vintage vibe that hints at something deeper and more contemplative beneath the surface. Yet, the motif of green freshness remains constant. This is a relatively safe scent, suitable for both hot outdoor outings and enclosed spaces. For a summer fragrance, it has impressive longevity, projecting intensely during the first few hours and lingering with a quiet persistence long after. It's undeniably unique — one of those rare scents where you can be almost certain no one around you will wear anything similar, or even have had the chance to experience something like this. However, be cautious indoors with the number of sprays, as its potency can easily dominate a room. At retail price, Cabana feels somewhat overpriced, much like many offerings from Paris Corner, which seems to position itself as a premium brand for Facebook Marketplace's or TikTok's Karens with peculiar pricing, especially compared to other Arabian perfumes. Fortunately, I acquired Cabana through an exchange for a duplicate perfume I got at a 50% discount, which made it feel like a more worthwhile addition to my collection. Otherwise, I might hesitate to buy it, especially after having to sell off two bottles of Killer Oud for their low quality and uninspired scent. While I would rate it higher if the powerful green notes were complemented by some marine accords, this slight imperfection adds to its charm. Even so, I wouldn't hesitate to wear it to the beach, appreciating it for what it is. I probably have some monster batch since I can still smell it after more than a day of application off my t-shirt. Originally tested this one at a local shop years ago and it must've been a bad bottle because the formula broke down quickly into a crappy plasticine base. The opening was great and super similar to the minty orange blossom and vetiver of BHM, but then it kinda fell apart after that. Wasn't impressed. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago when I decided to give it another shot, so I picked up a bottle with a production date of 07.2022 and it blew me away. Not sure if there was a reform or what (they changed the Sunshine one after all), but now it's almost spot on to the original. That awesome opening gets more dense in the mid-to-base and sticks around forever. Leaves a good sheen on the skin too just like my old decant of BHM and totally scratches the itch. Absolutely no mistaking what it is. Projection and longevity are both excellent and it's even difficult to wash off in the shower. And that's straight out of the box. Anyway, because of my bad experience with the stuff previously I wasn't expecting much so this was kind of a shocker. In fact, dare I say that it's more balanced than the Amouage formula? The mint is just as strong, but everything feels rounded out and the warmth is there too. Remains fairly linear, doesn't break down and I swear I even got a tiny hint of lavender in the mid. Closeness is at least 90% now, and when I'm wearing it, I get the EXACT same feeling I had when wearing BHM, with performance to match. Originally was going to wait until a better dupe came around but now there's no need. Maybe it was the extra time sitting around (un-sprayed) in the bottle I dunno, but this stuff rocks. Minus the dumb tassel (which I cut off), the bottle and box are great too. So glad I gave it another chance. Scent - 8/10 Longevity - 9/10 Projection - 8.5/10 Overall - 8/10

It opens with a patchouli and spice blend that is very similar to Amouage's but not exact. There's a little more of something (perhaps cinnamon?). It's very green with the galbanum, and the other green notes like moss and ivy are there from the beginning. There's a little sweetness here, and a little mint. The mint gets a little stronger in the first few minutes and by 15 minutes in you have a green, minty, slightly sweet fresh scent with a woody vetiver backbone. It doesn't change much from here, but as it gradually fades over the next several hours, the mint note pulls back a little faster than the others. I get about 6 hours performance on this one, the first two having the strongest sillage. The price is cheap, but still, you might want to at least try Beach Hut Man to have an idea if you will dig this DNA, because it hits that weird spot between a barbershop scent and a modern woody spicy. So, it's too green for some, but too warm and spicy for those who prefer classic scents. It's not blind buy safe, and I wouldn't wear this to an office, a date, an enclosed space, etc. It's a clone, so everything is relative to the original, right? All the notes are there per se, but the arrangement and quality of them is not identical. The original has a much better (and stronger) mint note, and the opening on the original is more fun to experience, but also more imposing to those around you. But honestly, an hour in and side by side it's really hard to tell the two apart and in the air, no one around you is going to know the difference. From that perspective, this clone is a success. Comparing the two, this is definitely worth the $35 or so you can get it for if you don't want to spend the price of the original. Not getting rid of my Beach Hut Man, but happy I have this one, too.

Huge fan of Beach Hut, but it's expensive and can be a little too nice/refined to wear day to day. Enter Cabana, much more versatile at a perfect price point. The openings between the two ARE different, too many comments saying they're identical. They're really not. I can't place it, but at least one or two of the top notes are weaker / stronger or just come from different sources. I've always found Beach Hut to start with a more pungent and bitter opening, which I actually don't like; the dry down has always been the goal for me. Cabana's opening is much nicer, a little sweeter, less astringent. Cabana is less punchy and less refined than Beach Hut, but that's what makes it ideal for casual wear. I even spray this on before the gym which I wouldn't dream of doing with Beach Hut. Even in the middle and late stages, they still smell different, but they're strongly related, perhaps more like brothers than identical twins. Projection and longevity are all excellent, especially on clothes.

#905 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I didn't realize when I ordered it that it's a clone of Amouage "Beach Hut Man." I just saw this fragrance line on FragranceBuy Canada's website, I was intrigued by the name of the line "Killer Oud", they were inexpensive, so I ordered all ten. This is the first of the line I've tried. I got Beach Hut Man in November of last year (#452 in my "Tour de Fragrance") and I absolutely love it and its beast mode performance. Get tons of compliments on it. But the price! There is no discernible difference between this scent and the Amouage in scent or performance. I paid $31.75 US for this, $150 for the Amouage. Buh-bye Amouage! Go light if you carpool or work in a tight office. This projects. A lot. All day. Into the night.

Blind buy My fav scent for this summer so far. Expect something minty, but not like the toothpaste minty, more like mint just slapped before the cocktail. This scent is green, very comforting after couple of hours. Feels like almost dried leafs, i think this is the oakmoss which pops up and stays almost till the end. Very formal occasions, not for offices, maybe bars to have beers and cocktails and walking around the city with friends. Nice 'everyday' scent which you can update every 2-3 hours without fear of being too much. Never tried OG. Yes, the idea is the same as in Diptique and Jardins de Kerylos, but no Fig smell My favorite blind buy so far, highly recommended for summer heat

Ive yet to try Beach Hut Man so I can't say how close it comes to emulating it, but what I can say is that this is classy juice. It's starts off mildly soapy which kinda reminds me of the opening of Sung Homme. After a few minutes the green notes began to emerge. The ivy is what I pick up the most, but they are well blended, and serve as a base to the soapy opening. This combination is fantastic.it smells upscale, projection is borderline beast mode for a fresh fragrance, and it lasts 10 hours off my skin. I see this on a man dressed in white linens, emerging from a beach shanty on a cool spring day. I give this a nine out of ten as I've yet to test how close to the original this is.

Accidentally I came across this fragrance in a bit of a shady Arabic clothing store outside the city centre for 15 Euros (!), the guy had absolutely no idea what he was selling. A quick look at Fragrantica and I decided to give it a go and I think this smells very nice and ultra green and clean for Spring and Summer. Performance seems decent as well. Probably should've bought the other bottle he had in store as well. Production date is July 2022. I'm fine with this clone as I would never pay 200 Euros for this scent profile, but very nice anyway.

Wow, ultra realistic lime leaf. Reminds me of Bottega Venetta Parco Palladiano VIII. Citrusy and leafy but not smells like mosquito repellent. This is how a green fragrance should be. Just go easy on the sprayer, because it may become detergent-ish. Perfect for a scorching sunny day. I'll have no problem wearing this to the office, because this is a very friendly, simple, and pleasant fragrance. Very classy, given the price. I like this fragrance, it's a YES for me! If you live in equatorial area, this is the scent! Tottaly worth the money.

This is 90% Beach Hut. Only difference is in quality of ingredients. Yes, the opening is missing, but what is that? 10 minutes? Bought it because in the last 1-2 years Beach Hut went from 120-ish euros to now 200+, this was 20 euros. Now i can save up on my Beach Hut bottle and use it for special occasions. If you like aromatic fragrances this is a good addition. Performance is under the original, but it's a decent nights out.

On my skin the myrrh really stands out making it this sweet, resinous, and minty green fougere scent. I actually quite like it even though I’m on the younger side for this scent profile. If I can describe how it makes me feel: luxury vacation to Singapore, surrounded by dense jungle, wearing a buttoned shirt, cold drink at the bar.

I have the original Amouage Beach Hut Man which is one of my biggest favorites. I found this one alternative that is also available in the EU. Very, very good quality dupe, almost indistinguishable from the original for me. Cheap, durable, and quality!

This thing is not what I expected. But holy heck is it nice. I haven’t smelled beach hut man, but this thing is green fresh woody aromatic almost medicinal. I’m definitely making this my signature scent if it performs anything longer than 4 hours.

I am a lazy writer but i have to manifest my surprise with the quality delivered for this price range really a great clone of BHM in fact the only reason to buy the original is because you are filthy rich

Beach hut man is really not that much of a crowd pleasing scent. You better test it before you buy it. If you know Beach hut and you like it, this is quite good alternative (I actually don't know any other clone). It replicates mid and drydown quite well, but there's a difference in the opening. Killed oud has very faint almost non existing opening (goes to mid in few minutes) while beach hut has amazing herbal mint note that is not well replicated here. Because opening is what I like the most in this DNA, I give it only a like. It is definitely worth trying, but here I think get the OG if you can afford it, if you can't, this is really not bad, but not amazing either. Performance is very good though. Overall 7.5/10

The first time I smelled this, all I could think of was fresh cut grass, mowing the lawn as a teenager and playing in tall grass as a child. It was winter and frigid outside, and I thought to myself that I would never wear this, but boy, was I wrong! This is a fantastic warm summer fragrance, in my opinion. Perfect for days with lots of sun and temperatures above 30 °C (86°F). This smells so green, so clean, and so fresh! I would say this is absolutely a masculine scent, and it's pretty much suitable for any mature man. I don't think it would appeal to very young men in their teens or early twenties.

I was looking for an alternative of Beach Hut - which I absolutely love - I already have the Perfume Parlour dupe, which is really nice, without the really good opening the Amouage has - Now I tried this one - and I was somehow a little disappointed, though the drydown is great , it doesn't give my the feeling of wearing Beach Hut,it doesn't give me the kick in the opening when you just spray it - the drydown is very green - it's ok - I will wear but less often than I had hoped to wear - it's not a signature scent for the spring time, not for me at least

If i didn't see which bottle this came from, I wouldn't have known that it wasn't Beach Hut from Amouage. I really like Beach Hut. The feel of a secluded hut on an island near lush foliage. This is exactly the same. Slightly less in the performance department. But for less than $30 who cares? Spray all day long. Fantastic fragrance. I appreciate the tips of previous reviewers. I was hesitant to spend the amount for Beach Hut but this I can certainly live with.

Cabana sort of jumps right into the heart notes of Beach Hut Man which is a good thing. Feels like a better, less screechy copy skipping the tooth paste mint of the original that made me feel I could not leave the house for the first half hour after application. Very similar otherwise, very well done ivy, galbanum and vetiver combo.
