The variety of reviews for this one is astounding. Let me add my counterpoints. 1. This is not a clone of Amouage Interlude - that would be Paris Corner Killer Oud, not PC Killer Oud Death by Oud. This is a clone of Chopard Oud Maleki. 2. The name is terribly misleading. The oud here is barely detectable. The stars are the amber, tobacco, supported by a coconut note, something resinous like galbanum or olibanum, and a smooth sandalwood. Yes, I know these notes aren't all listed, but they are there. 3. I have tried almost all of the Killer Oud series clones, and their general longevity is very impressive. But I agree that this one's longevity is moderate, as is its projection. As to whether this is "worth" $28 - oh Hell yes! Initial impression is of a lively amber fragrance. With one chest dribble, wafts are elusive, with coconut vibes. Nose down shirt (NDS) at 15 minutes agrees with the amber and coconut, with a hefty sandalwood that is nonetheless well integrated. Oud is hardly detectable at this point. I sense no grapefruit, leather, and not a ton of lavender. Tobacco, yes, and spices, tho I can't ID them yet. At 3.5 hours, this is actually a tick stronger in wafts than it was at the beginning, coming in at medium/light. Largely the same, though I am noticing some artemesia underpinning the amber, tobacco, dry coconut and sandalwood. I like it quite a bit, but I would want to compare this to Armaf Radical Brown before I bought a bottle of this. But I already like it better than PDM Herod as a tobacco scent. The oud is also contributing a bit more, but is not animalic or overwhelming. It sort of plays here like an herb or warm spice tone, same role. As to the "spices" element, I would suspect cinnamon, eugenol, as well as a touch of sunscreen, in addition to the artemesia, but low in the mix. At 6 hours, despite several reviewers complaining of poor longevity, this is still wafting lightly but not weakly, without much change. NDS actually seems stronger, especially in the spice/artemesia/bitter notes, while the tobacco, and to a lesser extent, amber seem to have declined. The coconut is still active at its former level. A very light smokiness, that continuing touch of resins and maybe a touch of incense are now in the background, mostly seeming to supplement the sandalwood. So, less sweet, less creamy, more bitter, more green and more woody. It is a pretty nice piece of development, esp this far into the life of the fragrance. Again, I am amazed that the official notes don't include sandalwood and dry coconut, but they both play a role from beginning to end. This can work for either gender as long as the person wearing it doesn't mind standing out a bit, and has some years under their belt. Too rich for warm weather. Moderate to low projection makes this safe for the office, good for snuggling next to the fireplace with your sweetie.

Ooh the tassel is so light and feathery!!!! How lovely 😂 This is what it’s all about right here fellows. Blind buying to save money and you find that one. This is it ! Great performer right here. I’m usually scared of trying or blind buying an oud fragrance. Could end up with another Calgon smelling juice like Satin oud again. But being that it’s supposed to be a great tobacco fragrance why not ? It was a number one tobacco fragrance from a YouTube influencer . And I’m a sucker for what tobacco does to a fragrance. So I took a chance. And it paid off I wouldn’t call it a Tobacco fragrance no more than I would call it a citrus frag. But it’s all there supporting each other working like a team. No spotlight hogs in this show. And To my surprise this is very good. Very well balanced. Nice and bright and an almost vanilla like thing going on with the balance of amber. if you’re scared of oud like I was don’t be. Take a dive with this. This Does not smell like Calgon or funky oud. Slightly animalic , you have to look for a smell of a tobacco leaf because it’s blended so well. But you don’t have to look hard. Just a beautiful balanced juice right here !!! I almost want to say it’s boozy. Nice blend of spices so it’s harder to detect cinnamon and nutmeg and allspice. I believe this has all those but it’s blended so well that the fragrance is just beautiful. Smells like it cost more than the $30-32 I paid for if. It has great staying power and projection for a cheapie dupe. Can’t complain at all. It makes me want to try all the others. There’s just so many hidden gems and cheapies around right now that Damn can’t help but to smell like a million dollars✌🏾

Yup, this gets the job done. I fell in love with Costume National Homme recently and after doing a little research, my friend Dominique Ropion did what quite a few perfumers are known to do: reiterate DNA of a fragrance over and over again. Costume National Homme seems to have come from Chopard Oud Malaki. From Oud Malaki and CN Homme came many other derivative works: Halfeti (and all of its flankers), Blazing Mr. Sam, Nishane Papelfiko, and quite a few others. There is an entire army of clones of all the aforementioned fragrances. Typically the later clones are the better ones, as they improve the formulas to get a leg up on the competition. I have to say, Paris Corner pretty much nailed this one right out of the gate. It definitely needs some time to mature after air is in the bottle, but after that it smooths right out and performance increases. Is it synthetic? Yes, but to a degree all of these frags are. It is close enough to the originals that I could recommend using this as a replacement. Performance is good, long lasting moderate projection. All in all, a very impressive effort. I see prices going crazy on some of these ministry of Oud scents. I believe they have all been discontinued. This one is still pretty easy to find. I'd give it a 86/100 as a standalone scent As far as closeness 90/100

But this is actually one of the best blind buys I have made for a long time. #906 in my "Tour de Fragrance" It would be an understatement to say I love Chopard's "Oud Malaki" and this is a dead-on clone of that fabulous scent. Oud Malaki is a very moderately priced scent, unlike all the Amouage scents Killer Oud has cloned, so I'm not really sure this scent will find a lot of Chopard lovers crossing over to get a $58 scent for $35. But, it'll still save you the price of lunch for two at the Dairy Queen, including Blizzard deserts, so maybe it will. But seriously, I can tell no difference between this scent and the Chopard, a scent I can't imagine anyone not loving. Solid EDP performance, car pool, elevator, small office safe if you don't overspray. Good date scent. Got compliments on it. This is another successful blind buy.

When I saw that Paris Corner had removed all mention of the entire Killer Oud line from their website, it prompted me to finally grab a bottle of Death by Oud before they all disappear. The first impression from a new bottle is that this is a quality scent for the money. The whole is well integrated and attractive while preserving the distinct individual accords. It has a remarkably assertive presence from a single spray on my wrist, which means that I for one will need to go easy on the trigger. Beyond that, sniffer 65 nailed it with his review. NDS is an assessment I have performed for years without explicitly naming it. Thank you, sir, for addressing that deficiency.

Buy it now, thank me later . This perfume is strange, mysterious & addicting. Sweet tobacco , smoky and incense , beautiful blend.

This is a chopard/Mr Sam clone, not helfeti.also same as blazing fragrance world, and mercedes Benz man private.

It is just flawless.A bit harsh but let it sit for a few months and it turns into this mellow godness.

I wanted to leave a review because there's not many reviews for this fragrance. I received it yesterday, for preface, I love tobacco fragrances, and wanted something strong for winter, but upon first smell, the oud in this has a medicinal smell that I don't love. It's possible letting it sit might change it, in the air it smells a lot better on skin atm. I am a pretty young guy so to me this smells like an older man's fragrance, keep that in mind if you're considering buying. This was my first time getting an oud fragrance. This was a total blind buy obviously, I don't love the fragrance but if the bottle macerates which some below suggest it will, and the smell changes a bit I'll leave an update, currently for the price I wouldn't say it's worth the blind buy if you're a young guy, however I could totally understand how other people might enjoy this.

To add to my previous review, the scent has changed and has become much more agreeable, the notes smell like they get along more. I actually quite like the smell and keep going back to smell it, but it still holds true that it's smells old fashioned. It's classy and smells high quality, so if thats what you're looking for, go for it. I do plan on wearing this on certain occasions.

My first Middle Eastern perfume. Very gourmand, yet masculine. I’m still surprised how long it lasts on my skin. 8-10 hours easily. And it projects like a missile.

As mentioned below, it's exactly the same as FW's Blazing in the dry-down, slightly different in the opening.

Just get this if you want something very similar to Oud Malaki or Mr Sam.

I have tried to wear this several times. It smells lovely.. but unfortunately the entire "Killer Oud" line is very weak. Just a couple hours and then it's gone. I wanted to love this stuff. But, I just don't see myself reaching for this when there are several others with similar DNA and much longer staying power.

Smells good, but doesn't last. I tried it in winter -3 C and I'll try it again in other seasons to see if the performance is better. If not, then it's not worth it.
