Man... this is great. I'm really surprised it isn't more popular! From the reviews I've read, the lack of marketing/commercials, & the fact this is ALWAYS on clearance, I'd say it's her least popular fragrance. That surprises me. I am also surprised by the perfumes it's compared to here... not seeing the similarities at all. Now, for the record, I am not a Kim Kardashian fan AT ALL but her perfumes have suckered me over to the dark side. lol This fragrance reminds me a lot of Chanel Chance and a little of Coco Noir. Perhaps a cross between the two? Take a comparative peek at the notes and you'll understand why. It has the Pink pepper/Jasmine/musk/grapefruit/patchouli combo of Chance, And the deep, Balsalmic Rose and heavy patchouli of Coco Noir. Imho, Gold is BETTER than either of those though. Infact, Gold is what I had hoped Chance or Coco Noir would be. (I'm a huge Chanel fan so this is very tough to admit.) I can see where some people might be picking up a hint of masculinity but it's honestly not like it's "too much." This would have been more aptly titled "KK Noir" than Gold in my opinion. Because it does have that darkness that I think some are construing as masculine. The patch, woods, pepper, benzoin & dark rose does give it that heavy, intense, and what I would call, Dark vibe. Grapefruit can also lend that sense of masculinity to some noses. I can't believe I am saying this but I am totally impressed by Kim Kardashians fragrance line. It's awesome! I think KK is one of the best celebrity perfume lines available today. I wish that she would focus on profiting off her actual talents like this versus selling herself, sex appeal, and nonsense but I digress. I've been told once I smell wonderful, and asked twice what fragrance I am wearing while sporting Gold. I was almost embarrassed to say it aloud lol. But it seems that men really like it a lot. I get a similarly freakish occurance of compliments on her original self titled Tuberose/Gardenia bomb fragrance.

I'm not sure how this Kim K Gold landed on my radar, but I'm glad it did. I kept going back and forth on the reviews here on Fragrantica and YouTube. I finally pulled the trigger and I blind bought a 1oz bottle for $8. I know Gold is listed as an "Oriental Floral" but this is a Fruity-Floriental for me. Better yet, during the drydown, I find Gold to be an entirely unisex fruity floral. Truly, one of the first unisex fruity-florals that I've ever encountered. The top fruit notes of "bright sweet fruits" truly last around a long time. The opening was like Tropical flavored Life Savers - there was pineapple, mango, and maybe a cream soda flavor. In addition to the melange of fruity nuances, Gold also opens with a very tame powder facet. Trust me when I say the powdery accord is tame, because powdery accords get on my nerves quickly. Finally, the tropical tinged fruits make way for a fresh spicy, sweet musky, and blonde-woody base that tangle with tame clean-florals that I can truly describe as "sexy." Sexy is not a word I use regularly to describe a fragrance, cuz it's overused, misused, and rather vague. Saying something is sexy is so subjective. With that in mind, I will go out on a limb and say that I find KKGold to be "oh so sexy!" The reason why I find Gold to be unisex is, because it is not hyper-sweet, hyper-fruity, or hyper-floral-y. The drydown is absolutely unisex; the drydown is something along the lines of YSL L'Homme or its flankers. It doesn't smell like those fragrances, but it's in the same "realm" with it's fresh spiciness and woods.

Very interesting how the reviews vary on this parfum. Some people hate it, because it is too strong for them. Then there are people like me, who like it! In fact, I really like it a lot! I do not find it cheap smelling at all! I actually find it to be quite expensive smelling. I have A LOT of different perfumes, a lot of celebrity brands,and I know what some cheap smelling ones are like. This one in particular does not smell cheap to me at all. I am not a fan of strong smells that will make me sick. I am a VERY sensitive person to smells. If I do not like it, trust me, you know it. This one is good for me for some reason. It works well with my body chemistry. I am a 20 year old male, and I feel that I can definitely get away with this scent. It is definitely a masculine friendly smell. But at the same time I find it feminine friendly as well! It is pretty elegant. I would say this is meant for a fragrance lover or someone in their 20's and above. I would not recommend this for teens and younger. It is more of a mature scent, and that is what I think a lot of the negative reviews are coming from. You have to have a taste for this perfume, and I definitely do. I was so happy because I purchased my first bottle of this at Sears for $11.25 which was such a score! I bought the biggest bottle available, 3.4oz 100ml bottle! I honestly loved it so much, that I purchased the same bottle again at another Sears location for the same price! :) If you like a mature yet elegant scent, then I definitely recommend Kim Kardashian Gold for you!

Out of all the perfumes I own (close to 40 and counting), my husband almost always compliments this specific one. He’s not really into fragrances and doesn’t say anything about most of my other perfumes, but this one in particular really gets his attention. It’s hard for me to point out any one particular note from this, other than patchouli with a warm floral, fruity sweetness, and slight peppery-ness. There’s something in it that reminds me of old-school suntan oil, but without any coconut. Just the fruity florals, in a sort of tropical way. Plus the patchouli and pink pepper, giving it its own character. Gold is good name for this. Despite that, I think this does well all year round, temperature doesn’t seem to change it much. It leans toward a nighttime scent but I like it so much I wear it whenever. On me, it lasts 3 or 4 hours on clothing and it projects pretty well, which doesn’t happen to me very often. For the price, I’m very happy with the performance I get. Honestly, I’d pay more if I had to. It’s interesting that several reviewers said it reminds them of dial soap. I never got that impression from it until it was pointed out to me. My nose really has to search for it. That being said, maybe this should be tested before buying. I absolutely love it and wear it frequently, but that doesn’t mean everyone will feel the same way.

One of the first women's fragrances I bought. I've had my bottle for 5 years and I still really enjoy it. I'll never forget a review that compared this to ripe strawberries in an ashtray. The opening leans masculine with a prominent peppery note. This only lasts a few minutes since most of the pepper fades away. It certainly still has a unisex appeal at this point. It is warm, balsamic, woody with small amounts of grapefruit and bergamot. They are absolutely there but they are more distant the more the fragrance stays on the skin. Although the second accord is "citrus", I don't find it that prominent. This fragrance can still be enjoyed even by people who dislike citrus in their perfume. I am not sure if I smell the patchouli which is one of my favourites but I can detect the sandalwood. The sillage is moderate without leaving much of a trail. Its longevity is also moderate. "Gold" was very affordable when I got it but since then it has gotten increasingly harder to find. I'd pay double the amount I paid then if I found it now. In case you have recommendations for similar scents that still can be found, please DM me! I am fond of this type of "feminine" fragrance - oriental, spicy, similar to cologne. Overall, the scent is quite rich and well made and does evoke a gold feeling. Nice bottle as well!

If you get the Darker Bottle, not the actual Gold bottle, then you are in for a surprise! This is absolutely a gorgeous smell. Truly versatile and unisex, in my personal opinion. I LOVE the first fragrance by Kim. The original Kim by Kim Khardashian, but this brings that to a whole other level. Stronger, longer-lasting and a head turner. For certain. Men AND Woman have asked me what this amazing scent is. It’s addictive for sure. I wear it all year, but recommend this for Fall and Winter if you want it to stand out even better/more. It’s hard to get at times, and at other times easy to get too. I stock up with 4-5 bottles at a time when I buy this due to its high demand. It’s unique and a rare smell. You won’t be disappointed. One of the best Khardashian collaborations of scents. I have so much to say about this perfume. For 10+ years, it’s still a banger. Don’t say no unless you have actually tried this! Many base opinions of the celebrity on the scent and miss out on good stuff! This is a “Suited up” version of the original. It is strong but a good type of strong, not a head-ache in a bottle strong. Good work, a true piece of Art.

Been to the fragrance counter today and I got a whiff of this first before other scents clouded my nostrils. Well, it reminds me of KK's True Reflection, and a bit of Imari Seduction too. Although its a decent fragrance it disappeared within two hours on me, did not leave any offensive stench. Another person said it smelled lovely on me though but I'm not a taker on this one. Pure Honey wins in my book, yay!!!! 07/02/2014 Ah! went back to the counter and bought one. This is good......the pink pepper is quite noticeable to me, quite a picker-upper, its spicy in my nostrils!! I like it! If this is meant for hot summer it would do well in my Caribbean climate. Again its well composed and a lovely, lovely scent. The more I smell it the more I like it. Its a passionate fragrance. Very good! 12/02/2014 Wore this today, got compliments too of KK Gold smelling 'fresh' 'crisp' clean, spicy/citrus and creamy/woodsy on me! Right now I've worn this for 7 hours and I can still smell it on my clothing. Beside "Pure Honey" this is excellent and has a clean, powdery dry down

A lot of my top likes have either balsamic or amber in it, and this was another blind buy. It is golden indeed. it smells strong, potent, yes a unisex undertone, but sexy. I love it, I can't wait to gift a bottle to my sister who leans toward gourmand more than I do, but still we share similar likes. This is spicy- sweet with a hint of leather. This on ebay right now is cheap as sh*t. What do you have to lose. I got a 1 oz for $6 on ebay and the same day I went back and got a 3x 1oz pack for $13,50. It doesn't get much better than that. I opted for that deal because it will allow me to gift this if I want. Nothing about the Kim K family is likeable to me, not her hubby or her family, but this scent can't be blamed. This is a sexy smell and and I feel any woman with a sense of screw-you-I'm-sexy will feel empowered wearing this. Edit: Another benefit of owning a small bottle is to be able to carry and respray that instant blast of scent that does mellow down pretty fast.

WOW!!! This stuff just ignites on me!!! I wore it at the same time as KK original today, to compare. The salesgirl loved this, too, and said that it really smelled nice on me, and could be a potential conversation starter ("Wow! What are you wearing?") It is NOTHING like the original, which is a bit harder for me to figure out and is awaiting further study. (The salesgirl couldn't figure that one out on me, either.) Yes, it IS initially a bit like Glow After Dark, but it is sweeter, brighter, fresher, and more glittery. Glow After Dark is a more "sultry brown" scent, Gold is a more "radiant pink" scent. I guess that's the pink pepper and grapefruit talking--it somehow didn't smell citrusy to me, though. It wasn't fruity, gourmand, floral, or anything I could really classify! Well, anyway, I may have found a new sillage monster friend in this one. I could smell it wafting up all day--from one spray on one wrist! Lasting power excellent, at least 7 hours. Way to go, Kim!

WOW!! This fragrance is amazing!! I am a 23 year old male, and this fragrance is so amazing that KK Gold, (alone with only few others) are so irresistible, that even I put my ego down to buy and wear it! This smells warm and amazing! Not grossly sweet or citrusy at all!! When you smell it, you really do just think of a warm, creamy, gold essence. I ALWAYS get compliments on this fragrance when I wear it! I have to admit, that both the projection and longevity alike...are both only average. Projection - About 8 inches off of my skin. Longevity - About 4 hours. However...that is DEFF not bad considering it is only $20 on amazon! Furthermore, I have already gotten one female friend, and THREE male friends of mine to ignore the fact that its stupid Kim Kardashian's name and face on it...and the fact that it's "for females," and even they have bought it! TRY IT GUYS!! IT SMELLS GREAT!!

Gold starts off like a sparkling citrus summer morning with the grapefruit and dries down to a peppery amber and sandalwood summer night. Even in the dry down the grapefruit sparkles through, a reminder of the sunshine and heat of the day. I don't get much floral from this perfume, but it doesn't matter. It's gorgeous. Clearly, this perfume to me smells like summer. Probably a California summer, balmy, breezy, and with palm trees (and I am nowhere near California) but I'll take what I can get. The heat only adds to this fragrance and makes it better, deeper, and richer. I wish it lasted longer. *sigh* On a side note: I didn't intend to own this, but a friend bought it for me from the U.K. thinking it was KK's Pure Honey (I have yet to find Pure Honey at retail in Canada. If anyone knows where to find it, PM me!). Regardless, what an amazing surprise Gold was!

This is a very unisex fragrance that seems to be more feminine-leaning or masculine-leaning depending on which notes your nose picks up. I immediately get amber and warm spice, followed up by a jasmine-musk, and it becomes woody on the dry-down. I blind-bought this fragrance in summer and I am very excited to wear it this autumn! It's very sexy and potent, though the longevity and sillage are both pretty average. I enjoy KKW Fragrance scents for their subtle natures, but there is very little that is subtle about this fragrance! I'm glad that Kim kept up with the perfume game, though her later releases are very weak compared to this one. I'm very happy I got a big bottle, it gives me flashbacks to wearing Amber Romance by Victoria's Secret in middle/high school, and reminds me of stepping into a Middle Eastern gift shop.

This may be a premature review (I've only been wearing this for 15 minutes) but this is so good! I really didn't know what to expect especially with some reviews mentioning the dial soap vibes, which I think maybe comes from the citrus and earthy freshness that you get at the beginning. For being a celeb fragrance and a cheapie this is surprisingly pretty complex. The dry down is sweet and ambery and clean smelling. An earlier reviewer mentioned the homage to CK Euphoria (one of my favorites) which I totally get! I actually think they are very similar (KK Gold is a little sweeter) and I'm surprised that it isn't high up in the reminds me of category! If you're a feminine person who likes scents with a little bit of a masculine edge I would definitely check this out! For me its a love! :)

It's funny,i blind bought this and at first i tried it on paper at home and i wonderd what crazy smell it was because it only smelled peppery,spicy and maskuline and i thought it was horrible. But o tend to wear heavier,woody/oriental scents well so i tried it again on me and it was a completly different experience! It is a bit spicy at the befinning but then,on me,its only that woody floral oriental scent left. I get that some feel like it's an unisex scent since there is that maskuline tone in the beginning and i think it works best on people who can wear this type of fragrance.This is my absolute favourite right now. It feels luxurious and sexy. I prefer it for evening because it does not feel like an everyday or work kind of smell,for me it works for all seasons.

This doesn’t really last on skin so must be layered, but on clothes it does last. It’s been about 20 hours after application. Gold has a really beautiful cozy, creamy, musky, powdery dry down with a hint of violet. I don’t even normally like violet, but it’s nice here. I was about to write this off, especially since the opening and mid are more masculine,and possibly give it away, but it’s a hidden gem. I feel the same about her Pure Honey, hidden gem. I think I should try some more of her fragrances. I have the dark bottle. Also, I am not getting a ton of patchouli. I’m very picky about patchouli. It’s not over powering here. I feel like if you like Mon Guerlain, Guess Seductive Noir or any Gris Charnel dna, you may like this. Its in the same family as all those.

Kim Kardashian Gold is a true amber, with a mix of bitter citrus (grapefruit, here), jasmine, and thick, resin-y benzoin. For some reason, it smells like honey to me, early on in the drydown -- and I love a honey note! It's very much in the same genre as Mancera Gold Incense, also very rich and sumptuous, and Roberto Cavalli, but with jasmine instead of African orange blossom, and it's a little less sweet. It almost has this non-gourmand, non-edible sweet 'n sour quality. You have to enjoy really strong, "thick" fragrances to love Gold, and I think it's really beautiful. The longevity is decent, somewhere around 5 hours. This was a total bargain at one of the discount stores (can't remember which one...), just $14! Anyway, for me, an absolute blind buy success!

Bergomot. Amber. Slight Musk. Benzoin. Not sure what the floral is that I am detecting or even if I can detect any floral at all. This also has a pipe tobacco note that weaves its smoky scent throughout the entire ride into dry-down. So, for ME: opening is a slight citrus bergamot, and then it quickly rides a musky, smokey, benzoin wave of honey amber all the way down. May I just say here, that NO ONE CARES what you think about the celebrity and I wish people would stop prefacing a perfume review with their hate or like of the celebrity who's name is on the bottle. THAT said, I REALLY like this. I'm quite sure I never would have tried this except for the comments on this site. For the price... This is a great go-to, and also a good base for other perfumes.

Ok so I’ve hard both the gold and a dark bottles of this perfume and now have only come across the dark bottle. I was out of this for a little over a year now and recently came across it and got it again. The dark bottle of gold is a hidden gem!!! This is a dark,mysterious,spicy with a hint of sweetness type perfume! Anytime I’ve worn this while out I’ve gotten asked what sm I wearing and complimented on it. This is definitely more of a fall and winter type perfume but ive worn it year round I just apply it light in the warm months. The notes in this perfume are beautiful! They all blend wonderfully to create an amazing perfume....this is totally unisex too. Longevity and sillage are long lasting.

I tried this perfume on the way home from college today in Debenhams. I have been meaning to do so for a long time seeing as I love the Kardashians, and this was the scent that got good reviews. Luckily, I absolutely love it! When I first sprayed it on I thought it was quite sweet, almost like Viva La Juicy (which I love). But then after an hour or so it developed into a more sophisticated powdery scent, perfect for night. I love the grapefruit notes too which are complemented by the benzoin, and ensure the perfume isn't over overpoweringly citrusy. This is amazing for a celebrity perfume; it even has good staying power. Great job Kim!

I once said I would never buy anything branded by this woman - but I had to have this! It is sweet, but not too sweet. Fruity and floral in a good balance and it smells warm to me. I find a lot of celebrity scents are very sweet and rather "young" for me - since turning 40 I'm moving away from overly-sweet scents and generally that means avoiding "celebrity" scents. But this had enough depth to it to be wearable for an older woman, and my husband liked it enough to insist on knowing the name of it. (I can't compare it to any other of the KK line, as I haven't tried any of them. I might in the future though!)
