Luna

I've never smelled BR540 but I've smelled Cloud, Sdj68, Burberry her and I've disliked all of those. They were almost offensively strong and very recognizable in a crowd. This shares like 1% resemblance to those and I cannot speak about the similarity to the actual BR. When I first tried it, I thought it wasn't for me, but quickly I got addicted to the scent and unfortunately needed the discovery set and the full bottle. I literally think about wearing the scent, it seems so sexy to me and I smell it for 5 hours after application. She is a dirty cotton candy indeed, starts sweet but quickly you get the clove and amazing oakmoss drydown (addicting as well). She's suitable for all seasons and times of day. The house has other interesting scents to try, I was especially intrigued by Hanzo (smells exactly like a czech flower shop - pots of dirt, fresh florals but also whatever else they sell), Taom (great drydown), Kaigan, Carnal, Ambré smells like a variation of Angel's share, but fruitier. Imho apart from Luna most of the scents would suit rather men than women, but everyone can do as they please of course. In my collection, Luna shines as one of the non linear perfumes and I love her for that, she's my pretty little egg.

To me it's very unique fragrance. I'm still not sure if I love it, but from time to time I have to smell the sample at home and I can't stop thinking about it. It's not typically sweet, I mean of course it's sweet when there's a cotton candy, but at the same time it's very light. I think I'd have loved it if my husband wouldn't hate it so much. Edit: I don't care about my husband's opinion. I LOVE IT. Purchased full bottle. My first niche perfume yey! Edit 2: My husband loves it too lol. Edit 3: Okay, I tried Baccarat Rouge 540 and I love this too. And Luna really reminds me of BR540 but in a good way. I don't think it's a dupe at all! But I love these kinds of perfumes, it's sweet but not syrupy sweet. It's sweet but not fluffy sweet. I don't know how to describe that. I love both of these fragrances and I don't think Luna tries to copy anything. But if I had to choose - I'd choose Luna over BR540. Edit 4: It's still the best perfume I own (and the most expensive). I own about 10 perfumes and none of them is like Luna. It's my signature and I love it very much.

I fell in love with Luna at first try. The cotton candy note here isn’t unbearably sweet, headache-inducing, or the kind of sweetness that fills the whole room. It’s sweet, but it has attitude. It’s cheeky, sexy, and innocent all at once. It’s exactly the kind of fragrance I’d wear on an evening date that turns into wandering through the city at night. With a guy who’s a bit trouble, someone who makes me feel rebellious while still letting me keep my girly side. Luna has exactly that specific kind of combination. But it’s definitely not an exclusively evening fragrance. I love wearing it during the day too, especially on colder, almost wintery days, when I feel like it really shines. In the cold, it feels even softer, and its sweetness never becomes heavy. I absolutely love it, and it’s definitely a fragrance I’ll keep coming back to again and again.)

I love the scent so much, it ́s both cosy and sexy, definitely more feminine than unisex. I love the spicy sweetness which is not overpowering - I sometimes spray it before the sleep and it doesn ́t bother me at all. However, I really have a problem with sillage and staying power. I have this fragrance maybe 2-3 weeks, but I am almost one quarter down, because you need to spray A LOT. It lasts maybe 2-3 hours on me (on skin). EDIT (15/12/2025): I have second bottle and I still like it - however, resemblance to BR40, Cloud etc started to feel stronger... Also some people commented that it smells like these fragrances (without knowing it is something different) so unfortunately I feel similiarity is there :(

Sweet and spicy and a touch earthy. People compare this to BR540. I can’t flat out argue with that, tbh, but I wouldn’t say this is inspired by it, either. We’ve all smelled one of those. Not every frag that has a literal sugar or cotton candy note is trying to be BR540. Also, after smelling through this discovery set, I have too much respect for this brand to think they’d do that. This is in the same family, but the cloves and amber balance it differently. It has a sexy edge to it. If you like BR540, you'll like this; if you don't, maybe you won't. Adding to my wish list :-) This, like all of Kintsugi's fragrances, is quality, complex, and very wearable.

I love love LOVE sweet & spicy fragrances, so of course I instantly fell for this one. It's sweet, but not aggressively heavily sweet. There's just a touch of caramel/cotton candy sugar that brings the more ambery and spicy notes together. To me, it smells like some kind of fancy Indian dessert, or sweet saffron milk tea. I'm a little sad that I only bought a sample size, because I could easily see myself wearing this every day, for any occasion. We need more fragrances like this!!! I'm tired of sweet scents with no spiciness!

Luna - a perfume that's like dirty cotton candy, but not dirty in a filthy way. It's more like the kind of glamorous, playful dirty that makes you feel fabulous and bold. A scent that makes a statement and leaves a lasting impression. Luna isn't just about cotton candy, though. There's a complexity and depth that goes beyond the initial sweet allure. It's a scent that evolves and keeps you intrigued, embodying a vibe that's both whimsical and sophisticated. It just makes me feel powerful and sexy. My new signature.

Coming here some time later after smelling Baccarat rouge and BR extrait and I have to admit Luna shares a resemblance. It is almost like mixing baccarat, pink sugar and some spices haha. Dry down of Luna is way more pleasant than the drydown of BR (though I still looove the opening). To me Luna will always smell like a Bert and friends concert I wore it to for the first time, such an amazing memory and a fitting fragrance for the occasion🌸

I feel like this is the first perfume that has genuinely stopped me in my tracks. Even after smelling a whole store full of fragrances, this is the one I kept going back to and ended up buying. It’s sweet, but not sickeningly so. It’s a bit musky and floral with the dry down, but the scent of cotton candy is still prominent. Overall it’s a very yummy fragrance without being too heavy or nauseating, I love it!

I am new to niche perfumes and I would say this is quite a safe buy. It says unisex, but to me it is feminine. I was nose blind to it at first, but now it is one of my favorite scents ever. The cloud of cotton candy puts a smile to my face and the sweet, warm woody spiciness is just so comforting, it wraps me up as a blanket and makes me feel safe and confident. Great price for what you are getting, too.

My mom tested this one, and WOW. It smelled so great on her: lightly floral and sweet. Smells like eating cotton candy on a pier and having a movie montage type of day, then coming home after dark and collapsing into bed without brushing your teeth.

At first, it’s sweet, slightly burnt cotton candy, nothing particularly special... I was thinking I don’t get the hype, but the drydown is like divine cotton candy over a BR540 base. I love it!

Amazing parfume and honestly my favorite one. Well balanced between the sweet cotton candy and spicy cloves. Long lasting with great projection.

Luna is sexy..For me this is more man parfume..If someone wear this parfume , I fell like: “ I wanna kissing him more and more;)”

Luna is my first niche fragrance and I love it. That smell makes me happy.

The cotton candy is screechy up top but also kind of fun. It does calm down quickly and settles into a very sweet but balanced ambery violet almost almondy dry down. The violet is subtle but I do get it and the vetiver is as well and very well blended to the point where I’m not sure I can pinpoint each note it’s more of an overall vibe. I enjoy this one and though I probably won’t get a full bottle I will enjoy wearing the sample. And I may end up getting a decant. It’s just not my think most of the time. But when I was deciding what it made me think of I kept thinking of these red vinyl go go boots I have and I stand by that image. That’s the vibe of this one for me.

This is an interesting scent... while it's not for me, it is very well blended. The extremely sweet cotton candy and oak moss notes remind me Ariana Grande Cloud, but with clove (which gives me a headache unfortunately) and violet. Personally, I find this a bit too department-store-perfumey. The sillage is quite good, though, and it lasts about 3-4 hours on skin.

This one is really kind of too inspired and uninspired at the same time. I would avoid trying this one if you are trying to dive into this beautiful brand, because this realease is something we all know really well (BR540). However Taom, Phenix and Hanzo are very unique to me.

I really wanted to love this. But to me, it's quite heavy and headache-inducing. Bummer. I do enjoy the spice of cloves in the heavy sweet scent though.

I truly wanted to love this perfume, and I really tried to. However, the clove note comes across as strange and unpleasant.

Reminds me of Cheirosa 68 if it wasn't as bad

I recently tested this in a store in Prague and spent the rest of the day regretting not purchasing it on the spot! Luna has a joyous and delightful cotton candy accord rendered more mature by the addition of cloves and earthy base notes. It lasted for hours on my skin from one spray (the testers of this one are almost always nearly empty in Prague!), and I agree with many others here that this shares very little in common (thankfully) with BR540. Luna is its own beautiful, sweet charming self with a little bit of an edge: like Strawberry Shortcake (the character) smoking clove cigarettes 🙌 😄 I love it and it’s next in line on my wish list!!

Picture this: the devil girl from Mars levels her cotton candy raygun, and the blast floats eternally in zero gravity. Each crystalline sugar cloud drifts through stratospheric winds, spun and respun by ionized air. The atmosphere crackles plasma-charged, with impossible gamma rays that smell like electricity and stardust. This is pure space candy – confectionery untethered in the cosmic expanse, sugar crystals forming in streams of light. Sweet particles scatter like nebulae, catching starlight and spreading ever outward, a candyfloss cosmos; glittering, gossamer, and galactic.

This one is nice. I find it interesting that saffron isn’t a note listed. It’s the first thing I smell. I thought to myself, this is like BR540 with saffron turned up. But truly to me this is like if baccarat rouge and Gritti Duchessa had a baby. For some reason I pick up black cherry too. I’m gonna give my sample a try for a while and this may be a full size purchase for me.

Luna is like a fairytale spun from moonlight and magic. It opens with a soft, sugary puff of cotton candy that feels light as a whisper, then dances into the woods with earthy oakmoss grounding its sweet, airy charm. It’s playful but grown-up, like catching fireflies in a silk dress.

This smells nothing like br540 to me. It's almost a doll head kind of plastic mixed with sweetness (probably the cotton candy and violet) and some oak moss. It's interesting. I like it. I think I'm getting a hint of cloves but it's not overpowering at all.

This is one is special. To me, it smells like spraying Burberry Her inside a niche perfume store that has the amber-y basenotes of all its fragrances settled into the walls, with a hint of the wooden floors in the background too. Mean it in a good way!

cotton candy spun not from sugar but from the fabric of my mom mom’s quilts. fabric that’s been laid on for a lifetime, a slight musk but innocent, joyful, playful, gossiping with aunt Ginny and clearing a pack of parliaments

First parfume I have tried from Kintsugi. When I close my eyes (I am from the middle Europe) smell takes me away back to hot hot summer days and those few moments right after pooring rain.

Honestly, I was dissapointed :( It really reminds me Baccarat Rouge, which I can't stand, because it's everywhere. Nothing new or special on that fragrance to me.

Opened so soft and cotton candy pretty, only to transform into another BR40 dupe... bummer.
