Wedding in Oaxaca

This scent starts off strong with a burst of floral. While the fragrance lists gardenia and osmanthus, the combination of these two notes is a creamy and green white floral that I tend to associate with jasmine. This is probably because I have more experience with jasmine than the two florals listed in the notes. The dry down is this really silky, lactonic floral mixed with warm basenotes. The coconut is very subtle and nicely complemented by the warmth of sandalwood and the spice of pink pepper and ginger. The basenotes seem to compliment, not compete with the creamy florals here.

i love this perfume so much! it feels like something distinctly different from anything i've smelled before. it's white florals, but with a slightly bitter greenness in the background. it's comfortingly milky from the coconut but without being cloying. all that plus the slight peppery scent at the top and subsequent gentle woody drydown makes for an amazing and versatile fragrance that feels sophisticated but still unique. i'm on my third sample and the only thing i really wish is that i could afford to get the full bottle :/

This is a really pretty gardenia-forward scent that is well-balanced with the coconut milk and sandalwood. It is not that super sickly floral scent that I have noticed in other fragrances containing gardenia. Will definitely purchase a full-sized bottle.

this is actually so good. Unlike anything I’ve ever smelled. It balances those deeeeeep creamy florals with just the right amount of spice where it’s not annoying (as a pink pepper hater.) love it to the moon and back!

coconut done beautifully. it's the chilled jelly/meat of young coconut. tender, milky, mild.

I could smell yellow and white florals and the pink pepper immediately as it dried down it started to smell too green almost acrid, the coconut milk smelt like actual milk or a yummy cheese, however the florals maid the cheese nauseating. The musk and floral then overpowered it and as it dried down (testing on three people) Me: just musk with a light cheese smell. My sister:woody, strong green, yellow floral, with an almost Armani code scent My mom: Sweet soft musk with light florals and spicy peppery, and then creamy. I do not think this is a casual scent and can go more mature floral on certain skin types. Overall I do not see why people think this smells "Niche" or "Unique". Almost has a 1996 designer Gucci parfum feel to it. A bit intense and heady for me.

A well executed fragrance, but one I will not be wearing. It smells I am a child at a distant aunt's outdoor wedding in a place that is not my home. It is scenic and technically pleasant, but the bouquets on the table are not at all to my taste. The breeze is nice, and the weather is lovely, but I have been stuffed into an stiff dress that I can't get dirty and someone on the dance floor has been drinking too much tequila. I am tired and want to go home, but I will sit and behave because my mother is having a good time. I imagine someone will adore this fragrance, and I am happy for them.

The spice really overpowered the gardenia to my nose. Not for me.

This is an interesting one. It both does and doesn't perfectly live up to its name. I was expecting perhaps more spice or more wood or coconut or something, maybe some humidity, something that felt more Oaxaca to me. I didn't get that from it at all. There's nothing inherently Oaxaca or very Mexico feeling about this. That being said, it smells exactly like Mexican women always smell at weddings and baptisms and gatherings like that. It smells like the perfumes my mother and aunts and cousins all tend to wear. Simple, clean white florals. So, for me, this is less 'wedding in Mexico' and more 'Mexicans at a wedding.' All that being said, the scent itself is pleasant but unremarkable. It's a hazy white floral, not specifically osmanthus or gardenia or anything identifiable, just a generic white floral. I'm not getting coconut or pink pepper at all, and no real wood of any kind. I almost get hints of a creaminess occasionally that must be the coconut, but if I didn't know there was coconut in here, I wouldn't have been able to identify it as such. Osmanthus can also be creamy, so it could also be that. I do get the violet leaf, a bit, as a (very mildly) spicy greenness, though it's very watery. I mean spicy in the tomato-leaf sense, not in the nutmeg and cinnamon sense. There's a bubble bath-y element to this, that reminds me very much of Daisy by Mark Jacobs or Mojave Ghost by Byredo. It's one of those perfumes where the effect is more just a single accord of its notes rather than an orchestra of different notes interacting at different times and levels. The musk comes out a bit more with wear, but just a bit. It's a nice musk, a very 'clean t shirt' sort of note, that gives an almost sporty vibe. There might be Iso-E in here. I can't tell. The musk has the same almost aerosolized, milky vibe to it, but that could be a trick of the notes. It's office-safe, but bland. Seems to have very good performance, though. It has decent projection and sillage, and the tester strip I sprayed this on has created a nice little scent bubble all around my desk. It performed the same on the tester as it did on my skin, so no surprises there, and it has lasted quite well despite the hundred and fifteen degree weather today, and stayed pretty linear. It still smells the same now as it did when I sprayed it several hours ago. Altogether, I'd say if you like this kind of fragrance, it's a good one, but if you're looking for something different from a niche house, this won't be it. If you love Daisy or similar smells and want something much better performing that smells higher quality, this might be worth looking into. Also, as an aside, I see this listed as smelling like Sweet Do Nothing, by DS and Durga, and that is not at all true. I wear SDN every day and this smells nothing like it at all. There is literally no overlap whatsoever.

Put this on and watched y tu mama tambien. Fits the movie very much. It is what I imagine she would smell like. Early 2000s or late 90s vibe. I really like it very much I just struggle with sandalwood so much :( even though it is not so prominent here ... it still gives me a headache

Floral start , peppery/salty finish, all with a beautiful coconut note lingering in the background! Ultimate summer on a patio with a cute dress and an even cuter drink perfume.
