Hinoki Eau de Parfum

I absolutely love hinoki and sugi so this is by far my favorite of the four Kitowa offers.Kitowa sells this not only as a fragrance but also as a bath oil, essential oil for diffusers, incense, and candles. When I tried this fragrance in-store, it immediately reminded me of hiking in the mountains in the spring—cool morning air, the scent of cypress, hinoki, and cedar surrounding me, and birds chirping softly in the distance. It captures that quiet moment before the sun rises when the forest feels fresh and untouched. The scent is very calm and relaxing.

Lovely natural woody scent centered around the Hinoki cypress tree. The perfume opens with the central coniferous notes of the Hinoki which is first surrounded by some mint and pepper. As it starts settling one notices hints of faint florals (geranium and iris). The perfume dries into cedar, sandalwood and slight incense with the Hinoki firmly in the background. The unisex scent has moderate sillage and very good longevity. Perfect for relaxation and mediation. Beautifully done. Enjoy!

Beautiful straightforward hinoki scent. Its like standing in a forest with sunlight glistening through the air. Very peaceful and quiet. Compared to Kusunoki from Kitowa, this is more masc, although it's still unisex. I prefer the warmth and depth from the added vanilla in Kusunoki, personally.
