Caramel Orchid

Hmm...This fragrance is interesting. This is definitely not your typical gourmand. It opens quite sweet and I instantly think of those Valentine’s Day chocolates with filling in the middle but unfortunately that doesn’t last as much as I wish it did. The opening also has a greenness to it that accompanies the cocoa/chocolate note. This is a woody, powdery and chocolate fragrance ( think hot cocoa powder or cake mix) with a green aromatic touch. I’m assuming it’s the davana which is said to be green/ herbal and balsamic. This is not a full gourmand because the bitter green aspect and florals are just as prominent as the gourmand sweet notes. They somewhat clash a little. To me this fragrance doesn’t know what it wants to be. Both of those elements are fighting for center stage. Besides that this fragrance is very warm and sweet. It does settle down pretty quickly and it looses some of the greenness. Your left with a cozy, sweet, woody chocolate accompanied by florals and musk. I don’t get much caramel till after it settles. I like this but it’s just a like. It’s different and not what I expected. Now that I have smelled the fragrance. I can see exactly what the notes are implying. I think the note breakdown describes it very well. This does last on me a while. I can smell it on myself quite well. It’s very musky and close to the body however. It’s on the lighter side and I think it’ll be better for layering. I wish there was more for this. Not bad just okay. The bottles are nice but I wish there was a flower bouquet/stem component on the cap itself. It would feel more special.

Finally!! I got it in the mail today and sprayed it as soon as I opened it (me, frantically opening that box 😆😆)! At first, it smells very sweet and powdery. I smelled no caramel but I definitely smelled the vanilla and the jasmine. It does settle pretty quickly and it smells very flowery/powdery. I really like it but still, no caramel. The dry down is powdery and woodsy with a hint of sugar. To my nose, there is no caramel, no cacao, and very little vanilla. But the flowery aspect is very very nice!! I am not quite sure about the longevity but I suspect it won’t be staying for hours and hours... This may seem like a negative review but I actually really like this fragrance. It is very cozy and powdery in a very pretty way. I will definitely be layering this with other fragrances in my collection such as Kayali Vanilla 28 to amp up the vanilla, or with woodsy fragrances to amp up to woody aspect of this fragrance. I am actually wearing Herod by Parfums de Marly (sprayed it earlier this morning not knowing that Caramel Orchid was coming my way today) and they both go very nicely together. Herod is a sweet tobacco and slightly smoky fragrance and together, they dance in unison. It’s quite wonderful!! All in all, I am quite pleased with this blind purchase, it doesn’t disappoint at all! I think I will be wearing this more during the Spring/Summer/Early Fall rather than the dead of Winter but that’s just me... Well done Kim and Jeff!!

I've been eyeing this fragrance since it first was announced and for some reason never got around to buying it so when I saw people finding this at tj maxx and marshalls I ran to grab it. I truly feel like I've been missing something like this in my collection. Out of every fragrance of hers I've tried. KKW and also her older fragrances, this one tops them all to me. I've never smelled anything like this fragrance. I have Prada candy (top fragrance its being compared to on here) and this smells nothing like that. I love gourmands but sometimes they can be so cloying and suffocating. This one is not. It's a chocolatey, cocoa powder, very slightly salty, powdery scent. I don't think it smells like caramel necessarily, but very much like soft salted yet sweet cocoa powder instead. Alittle milky even. If you like gourmands but find them too overpowering, this one is so perfect! Seriously such a gorgeous soft gourmand and worth picking up.

I’ve seen a lot of people say this smells like a candle but I can’t see where they’re coming from because I don’t get that whatsoever. If there is a candle that smells like this, point me too it because I love this scent. It is very caramel and vanilla heavy, I don’t get any floral notes. The Davana and salt notes blend in together really well and you can smell it more on the dry down but it is faint. This isn't a sugary sweet, it’s more of a “rich” sweet if that makes sense. This is probably the sweetest perfume Kim has put out, it’s really good and it lasted around 6 hours on me.

When I say I love this perfume you have to know that it is an understatement. I would DIE for this perfume, when I came across it I was very sad that it shortly discontinued and have to result to searching online and paying an unbelievable price 🥲🥲 I have been trying many other perfumes (which I love every single one I own) but nothing compares to this. I NEED A DUPE SO BAD

Salty, caramel-chocolate powder, a little bit earthy, not too sweet, a teeny tiny hint of floral that makes it slightly fresh. This is a good skin scent, not meant to blow out a space, but still wearable for daily hanging out at home use. The bottle, especially the box + bottle, is really chic. Discontinued but currently still available on the gray market.

I love this. Especially for the price I could go buy another one after only one spray I know this will be well loved. It’s sweet with a toasty veil. The caramel is not overbearing like bonbon. It’s well balanced and warm. Blind buy worthy for gourmand lovers. You can’t beat the price. I’ll have to see about the longevity. But great first impression.

hot cocoa drizzled with caramel, flowers and bubblegum. the most random combination ever but for some reason it works! such a beautiful gourmand! the projection is good, not great. i love this so much and i'm so upset i never got my hands on these sooner! definitely back up worthy!

Wow. This one is great, but very unexpected. Let’s just say this is like nothing on the market but in a great way. It smells like a yummy, non descriptive desert. I almost get a blueberry vibe somehow. Really sweet and pleasing. Layer this with iconic gardenia. Thank me later

Great perfume in a, I don't know how best to describe it, but it's like an expensive claypot. Lovely gourmand, with lots of caramel/vanilla as opposed to chocolate. I was really impressed and am so glad that I got a bottle for myself! Really worth it.

First thought was...it smells identical to the best caramel apple you could ever imagine having in your life. The sweet apple (yet there’s no apple in the notes) and the rich caramel....mmm. This perfume is definitely the best out of the 3.

I get a really juicy fruity leather scent at first before it dries down to something more lactonic and caramel. I would rate it 9/10 and would recommend. I have a few so I am selling an extra bottle. Message me if interested.

GET THIS WHILE YOU CAN!! It is being discontinued at the end of this month. Lets just say I am SUPER stocked up on bottles, it has become a staple in my collection.

Sweet and delicious! Reminds me of Billie Eilish upon first spray then mellows out to be a sweet powderd cocoa vanilla

Upon first spray, Caramel Orchid doesn't hold back. She gives you exactly what you're looking for with a deliciously sweet blend of Caramel & Cocoa. It's definitely pleasant to the nose. As this settles, that's when it gets a bit strange. The Cocoa subsides and the Caramel is then accompanied by Musk and some florals. I can't detect which floral note it is exactly, but they don't blend well as I expected. It's like the Caramel and the florals are both fighting to be the star of the show and refuse to work together. This lasted for a good 25 minutes. I was constantly sniffing my hand, enjoying the Caramel, but also trying to get on board with the floral notes and I just could not. Thankfully, the florals fade into the dry down where I'm left with a mildly sweet blend of Caramel and a Musky/Woody accord that I can enjoy again. The performance of Caramel Orchid didn't meet my expectations compared to Night Iris, but didn't disappoint. I got a solid 4 hours of wear with very intimate sillage. This sits closer to the skin after about 30 minutes. Overall, after testing thoroughly testing this scent, Caramel Orchid is a solid like for me. The packaging is phenomenal and the scent is unique enough to want to try. This makes a good fragrance for layering. Only time will tell if my relationship with this fragrance will evolve. But since I've concluded a 3rd bottle of this won't be necessary, I'm SUPER curious to try Rare Fig. Scent: 7/10 Packaging: 10/10 Performance: 5.5/10

Root beer candies, bitter vanilla bean and cacao powder, heady jasmine and dry spices. Somewhere in the middle of a tangy/spicy gourmand and a classic cozy warm vanilla musk. It would make for a great fall scent. It's hard to describe the scent that davana gives at a note, but the best way to describe it is herbal and a bit tangy, almost medicinal -- hence me saying root beer even though that's not a note present here. I could also describe it as ginger-like, a little bitter in the same way vanilla extract or cacao powder is. It's almost like a dark chocolate picked from a box of chocolates with bitter rum or liqueur filling. It's not too sickly sweet or cloying, it's just got that dark, medicinal bitterness to it. It's a very herbal and unusual take on the classic warm vanilla musk, and I respect the originality and find it to be surprisingly wearable! Ignore the expectations from the name or suggested pink celebrity gourmands (this really doesn't smell like Prada Candy so I don't know why so many people have voted for it as a dupe), this is a lot more unexpected. Well done to Kim Kardashian for making something truly unexpected and weird, and the presentation looks so high-end to match!

I found this and other Jeff Leatham x KKW fragrances at Winners (Marshall's) for $35 CDN, which is probably the most I'd pay for this, esp since they are only 30mL. As someone who loves caramel fragrances, I figured I'd give this blind buy a shot. Overall it's an ok scent for me. The first spray I got a burst of a very loud non-descript berry/fruit note and caramel. I don't know if it's more fitting as a spring or a fall fragrance, I think one can pull it off during both seasons. What I find interesting about this is that the smell doesn't change much from initial spray through dry down. The notes mellow out but the berry and caramel certainly remain. It fades slightly and becomes less sharp, with the floral notes coming out and adding a creamy-ness thanks to the heliotrope. The notes do come off as synthetic, and it's a bit too berry sweet, but I'm thinking this works will layering with other fragrances. Personally, I love the bottle design and that it can double as a vase.

This is a very pleasant fragrance with a decent longevity. I can still smell it on my clothes and hair after 6+ hours. Based on the notes I thought that this will be a very heavy gourmand scent suitable to wear in the cold seasons, but in fact it's not heavy at all which I like. I could totally see myself wearing it in warmer weather. The packaging is very elegant and the bottle has a weight to it and feels very luxurious. I find the scent very curious, I could definitely smell the announced notes, but the combination of them creates something quite interesting and unique.

This is very sweet & very juvenile. I feel like a tween wearing it to a carnival or theme park. Also, it has very weak lasting & projection power. It’s definitely a close to the skin scent. This is just my first impression maybe it’ll change the more I try it. But so far, it’s a pass for me. I liked all 3 of the first Jeff Leathem collection better.

Aptly named, the opening is a very clear blast of caramel and orchid. That lasts about 5 minutes then it mellows into a pleasant sweet, creamy, dusty floral. Office safe but it only lasts about 2 hours. Arms length radiation if you're a little generous with the application.

This smells like an adult cocoa/caramel bath and body works spray. This would go really well to layer with Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. Although there’s a faint powdery “earthy” smell in the background its not bad at all and kind of works with the fragrance. 8/10.

Love Kanye. Love Kanye even more in light of the divorce because I was able to get some KKW fragrances for 40% off (and $20 off $40). This pulls super play doh-y on me. Caramel, vanilla, and plastic-y play doh. The more I sniff it, the less play doh I get, but it's still a very teen-esque gourmand. Some other reviews mention this smelling like bath and body works... and it absolutely does. Not the body care, but the candles. This would definitely be one of the bath and body works candles you see on the shelf for weeks on end during the winter SAS sale because they don't sell too well. Not my favourite scent. It might grow on me as the seasons change and I find things to layer with it, though! Just not something I would wear on its own at the moment. Off the top of my head, this would go well with the Coconut Passion lotion from VS, or, as tatVC mentioned, the Bum Bum cream from Sol de Janeiro (the '62 fragrance, although '71 would work well too).

Caramel Orchid is a very musky vanilla fragrance. It starts off very sweet, like fruity caramels that have been melted in a pot w/ salt added. A touch of davana comes through and keeps it from smelling completely like a desert. As the fragrance goes on it becomes a vanilla musk w/ a touch of almondy heliotrope. This perfume is very subtle, and I fear it will not take me long to finish the bottle since I am an over sprayer. But that is ok I wanted these for the bottles because I think they are cute, and I plan on displaying them. I wish she would make a 3.4 ounce size for this line. If you are looking for a gourmand that is a good layering perfume to add sweetness, musk and a touch of vanilla to a fragrance this is a good one for that. If you are looking for a gourmand that has punch and lasting power this is not the perfume for you, search elsewhere.

Opens as a sweet tropical floral scent but as the ylang-ylang pushes in it becomes even more flower forward. It's strange, I don't find the jasmine that's listed in the notes or the orchid that's mentioned in the name (but not in the notes), just a generic floral accord with the discordant ylang-ylang. (IMO it would have been smoother/nicer without the ylang-ylang.) On my skin this is much too floral to be gourmand. I don't find ANY cocoa or caramel at any point, just powdery sweetness, like vanilla scented makeup. The dry down is warm vanilla floral, like many, many others. Too sweet, unidentifiable soft floral notes, bland, not particularly well blended. Isn't that what this brand is all about though, basic banality made for the masses? For us caramel lovers it's not really caramel, more cocoa powder, sugar and almond milk. Milky but not full cream milk, it really reminds me of something...but I still can't pick it, maybe some sort of perfume with a medicinal kick, since it smells like that and smells plasticy. I wouldn't wear it. Not very modern. If you do want to wear it I'd say- Setting: BEDTIME - it is sexy. When I first smelled it made me think so. But it does not smell that good and makes me feel sick which barely ever happens, it smells musky and plasticy. Cocoa powder, sugar and almond milk and plastic.

This smells very similar to Grand Soir by MFK at least to me,and I'm not a fan of it. In the beginning its quite fresh sweet and bubblegummy but after only a few minutes it turns to Grand Soir,but less spicy. I can smell a bit of chocolate which also reminds me of Black Orchid. I do believe this fragrance was inspired by the other two. Lasting power and projection are ok.Around 6 hours for me.

Not a gourmand at all. Smells like dirty musk. Dirt and heavily dark. Not at all yummy or edible. If that’s what you expect. Wrong. Stinky earthy smell. Major dislike.

Very nice heliotrope note in full bloom, excellent representative: intensifies the sweetness, deep, powdery, and syrupy from the caramel so it doesnt come off too dusty on me as it usually does..but rather romantic as it should be. The heliotrope here is reminiscent of the heliotrope in Police To Be Rose Blossom,in fact Caramel Orchid at the drydown is quite similar to the Police perfume. They are both very sweet/powdery perfumes with a touch of jasmine, and I detect the same melancholy powderiness of the heliotrope working its magic in both perfumes. I do like that here. They smell like sitting in an attic, with a box of chocolates and digging into an old chest of baby toys..There is some sweet plastic element here hmm as there is in To Be Rose Blossom. Caramel Orchid does not project as well as To Be Rose Blossom. At first spray it reminds me of the smokiness of Sweet Whiskey by BBW, since there is something smoky, almost burnt in Caramel Orchid as well, but this is more intense in the boozy Sweet Whiskey. Sweet Whiskey is the smoky drunk cousin of Brown Sugar and Fig btw, both milky musky scents. We dont have that much milkiness here in Caramel Orchid, even though I do detect a slight green musky sweetness similar to Sweet Whiskey/Brown Sugar and Fig. Caramel Orchid is really like you mixed Sweet Whiskey (by BBW), and a touch of Cocoa& Cashmere - maybe Fireside Flurries even? Thats what I got from this on my skin overall. It could be compared to any super sweet cashmere-heavy scent.. Snowflakes & Cashmere (much fresher than this but also has caramel and a woody base), Clinique's Cocoa & Cashmere, same vein, without any smokiness there in Clinique's. Caramel Orchid is sexy but more grown up than Fireside Flurries (burned marshmallow sister of Cocoa & Cashmere imo). I love these type of scents, but I needed something new and different I guess? I have Night Iris, which is very barbie-doll-like and I love it, so I expected their third one of this trio to be along those lines.. Night Iris is a bit more creative tho. I dont wanna compare it to Prada Candy Night, even though they are in a similar league. Candy Night is a true cacao queen, it is a masterpiece with the Barbie-doll-like iris, the bitter orange and the neroli freshness. Prada is Prada. So to wrap it up, if you like Smoky dirty sweetness, Sweet Whiskey, Cocoa& Cashmere or To Be Rose Blossom, and the rest, you will like this one too. It is not super romantic, it is melancholy to me, but has some sexy spice to it. It gives me rave "dolls kill" vibes, chunky funky platform boots, chokers, crop tops, dirty smokey liner & baddy attitude lol. Not for everybody. Like I said, you may not like the smoky powderiness of it. Update: Longevity is great on me- 5-6 hrs and it's much better than To Be Rose Blossom (with elements of the other perfumes/mists I mentioned), which I do like but it can be too heavy with the licorice. I'd give it 8/10.

I really love this perfume, but they should have named it Cocoa Orchid. (and I mean that in the BEST way possible) Anyone who loves a light, dusty cocoa aroma should give this one a try. All of the other ingredients are present, but that very unique cocoa is the dominant note and it blends so well with everything else. I don't follow follow any of the Kardashians as celebrities, but Kim does in fact have a gift when it comes to perfumes, and I'll give her credit for that.

I picked this up at TJMAXX as a blind buy. This scent is so strange. On my skin, it smells so musty and dusty.. almost leathery. HOWEVER, on clothes, this is a lovely powdery caramel-vanilla scent that lasts a very long time. I also LOVE the packaging. This is not a heavy gourmand, so if you are expecting a Cheriosa/Prada Candy thing going on, this is not it. It is very powdery and conservative, with a hint of sweetness.

Mix of her Crystal Vanilla and Wifey. A lot of KKW's fragrances all have the same DNA - which is not a criticism, a lot of brands do this. If you love sweet scents if a safe blind buy. It's not overly gourmand to me though, I was expecting it to smell more edible than it does. Dry down smells like cotton candy. Pleasant, generic, youthful. Rare Fig has better longevity than this one.

I actually really enjoy this and think it’s very unique. I get the blueberry and caramel from this, mostly. It’s gourmandish, but in a sexy, chic way, not juvenile at all. Kinda reminds me of the Fenty perfume

Smells like a Bath and body works CANDLE. On initial spray you get the powdered cocoa but as it dries it develops into a powdery, synthetic “sweet” smell. Stays close to the skin for about 3-4 hrs. 4/10

Smells so good! Little on the sweet side, but i still Really like it. It’s semi unisex, mainly because it is more on the sweet side.

Very interesting scent. Different but good. Jeff Leatham never disappoints.
