No Ordinary Man

#816 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I've liked every Korloff I've tried thus far, but this leads the pack by a full lap. Probably the best men's scent I've encountered all year. This smells wonderful! Everything I like about Loewe 7 amplified 3x. This stuff rocks! Strong vetiver, strong citrus, nice violet floral and the myrrh going off like a firecracker! It does have kind of an old school quality that goes with platinum and diamond cufflinks, like you'd wear this to the symphony. Kind of a PR "Pure XS" vibe but way more potent. Super masculine without being animalic. Think Houbigant "Duc de Vervins Extreme", Dior "Eau Sauvage Parfum." No vanilla and amber. If you wear Amouage Interlude, Montale Full Incense, Nasamotto Black Afgano, because like me you love incense when it's well done, you will flat out love this scent, this quality and this price! I would wear this to the office every damn day and not give a damn what the car pool thinks about it.

Finished a 2ml sample of this. I have Encre Noire a L'Extreme, had the original Encre Noire and tested Terre d'Hermes many times (my best buddy has it, so I can say I am very used to it). The best way I can describe No Ordinary Man is a cross between Encre Noire a L'Exteme (it is dark, mysterious and has something smokey and powdery in the background) and Terre d'Hermes (it has that dirty vetiver that makes it very professional and masculine). I will order this in the future, but for now I feel it would be a little redundant. Hope this helps! Cheers!

This one smells great. Reminds me of an old school cologne with a FFTF vibe. It is definitely not a clone or dupe of it but reminds me of it. I think the star anise, white violet, musk and leather smell similar to some of the FFTF notes. My only complaint about this one is I wish it lasted longer but it does pretty well for it's price point.

Beautiful fragrance to my nose. Masculine from start to finish. Smells like Bel Ami Vetiver Lite with a touch of myrrh! This is one of my favorite acquisitions of the year but wish its performance was a bit stronger projection wise. Still a gorgeous, manly juice! It's a bit hard to find in the States but well worth the search!!

Very good vetiver scent! I would say fruity vetiver, also some anise and pink pepper. Only the performance could be slightly better, 6h and average sillage is what I get. Very OK anyway! 89 Edit 7-11-2019: Performance from a FB is so much better than a sample-flask, Easily 10h! Good!

Nice and leathery with bourbon. Lasts long on me and projects well. A great cold weather scent. Office, business, church, formal, formal-relaxed. Projects power, richness, authority and yet is humble and inviting. Long: 8/10 Sillage: 5/10 Projec: 7/10 Scent: 10/10 Overall: 8/10

Wow, I think I found my singnature fragrance!Brilliant performance, great sillage and projection and it lasts about 12 hours on my skin.It's delicate, masculine and non offensive and also it's versatile you can wear it any time and any season. 10/10

Fantastic.....now my favorite fragrance

There are plenty of intresting notes here,star anise,hazelnut and myrrh but to be honest it didn't meet my high expectations Ofcourse I just tried it once and on paper strip and all in all it had very good quality considering it's reasonable price but it was not among those masculine colognes that as soon as I try,I rush to buy a bottle for hubby I couldn't pickup any of three notes I was so eager to detect.to my nose there was lots of earthy patchouli,a touch of spice and something animalic(leather?) not sexy but something sophisticated and formal and intresting enough to recommend to whoever is interested in vetiver-patchouli-leather combo and wants something beyond generic nice smelling Cologne,however it can be a risky blindbuy specially for younger age groups(below thirty) Longevity and sillage are impressive and it's more of a fall,winter scent imo Korloff black still remains my favorite korloff perfume for men,also among my top favorites in reasonably priced masculine fragrances group Korloff no ordinary man is marked as like by me,since I believe it's a high quality fragrance but not my taste کورلوف نو اردینری من،از اون عطرهایی هست که چیزهایی فراتر از قیمتش به شما میده.رایحه ای کاملا مردونه و جدی و فرمال داره که چیزی بیشتر از صرفاً یه عطر مردونه خوشبو و تکراری هست.نت های خیلی جالبی داره که من بخاطر اونها جذبش شدم و عملاً خورد تو ذوقم چون فندق،استار انیس و مر،هیچ کدوم حتی ذره ای برام محسوس نبودن.چیزی که بیشتر از همه حس کردم پچولی و وتیور بود،کمی اسپایس و یه نت کاملاً انیمالیک که فک کنم مربوط به چرم بود.فضای خاکی انیمالیک و نسبتاً تیره ای داره و بنظر من عطر بالغی هست،به نحوی که خرید بدون تستش برای گروه سنی زیر سی سال و قشر غیر عطرباز ریسک بالایی داره، بیشتر مناسب آب و هوای خنک هست و پخش و موندگاری خیلی خوبی داره هرچند به هیچ وجه سبک مورد علاقه من نیست اما بنظرم عطر باکیفیتی هست و نسبت به قیمتش ارزش خرید بالایی داره درنتیجه اگه به این سبک روایح علاقه مندید حتماً تستش کنید کورلوف بلک،کماکان کورلوف مردونه محبوب من باقی میمونه(بهتره بگم از مردونه های مورد علاقم تو رنج قیمتی زیر دویست تومن،نه فقط بین کورلوف ها)

This is definitely good! you can smell the vetiver in the initial spray, the vetiver in here is very similar to Dunhill Edition, the leather note makes it manly and pungent but in a good way, pink pepper is prominent too. The longevity is good, projection is above average in the opening and mid but mellows out after 2 hours. Overall a nice scent suited for 30+ age group, perfect for office setting. Unfortunately in the 3 or 4 times I've worn it I'm always on the edge arguing at home or end up with bad temper in office. It changes my personality. It's never happened to me before with other fragrances. So I'll be cautious with this, will wear it only on those days when I know I have to pick a fight. It isn't No Ordinary Man it's An Arrogant Man. Edit: 10th May 2019, - After finishing work, as it has been over 2 months since I last wore it, I thought why not I wear it now as I'm not doing anything anyway and what bad can happen at home during weekend. Only if I knew what was to follow - Had a good time and my neighbor joined me soon after. We had a jolly good time and suddenly we end up with a big argument, it spiraled down south pretty quickly. I'm sure nobody will believe me if I tell them that I was an arse because of a bottle of cologne. Edit: 25th May 2019 - Gave the bottle away to a friend.

Opens with a vetiver/leather/pink pepper combo, and later drydwons a nutty/hay-ish vetiver supported by a beautiful vanillic myrrh. The leather/vetiver theme is not new (TT Ursa, Kilian StH, Initio Divine Attraction - with which it shares a noticeable similarity in the top), nor is the citrus/vanillic resin/vetiver theme (Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum, MH Vetiver Insolent - with which it shares a noticeable similarity in the base), but the result here is very pleasant, and the price a real bargain. The only downside is the poor projection. That said, at $30 a pop, I will forgive and just double spray! Colder Spring/Fall days, 25+

Intense,elegant, masculine scent. Immediatelly gives you a feeling that you are special. I wouldn't say it's dark - it's rather warmly conforting with balance of spices making this composition attractive - star anise and pink pepper notes are easily noticable. Wetiver, leather, myrrh, violet, and patchouli give I would say nearly divine combination accompanied with these spices. It's a fragrance for 35+ men. Sillage and longevity is perfect with 3-5 sprays. Great niche quality/scent for dim/rainy/cold weather. Not for the young boys. Solid 7/10.

Nice, sweet scent. It reminds me a lot of Amouage's Beloved man. The main notes immediately after spraying are leather and anise, the anise faded after a few minutes to give way to a slightly nutty note. The performance is decent but sillage is a bit disappointing. I reckon some men might find this too sweet for their taste so try a sample if you can.

در نگاه اول مردی سنگین و جدی اما در بطن پرحرف و متظاهر و معمولی، یه کم وقت گذروندن با چنین مردی خالی از لطف نیست هر چند خودش میل به خوش و بش بیشتری داره، اما اگر دنبال مراوده‌ای جدی باشید گزینه مناسبی نیست چون ناتوان از عمق بخشیدن به زمانیه که با او سپری می‌کنید. چیزی که وقت‌گذرونی باهاش رو توجیه می‌کنه کم‌هزینه بودن مراوده با این مرده.

Hi, it's a hidden gem with this price. wait for it trust me! I can't say how does it open or end because you can get all the notes but vetiver, pepper, violet and leather are more noticeable. great longevity easily more than 12 hour with heavy sillage.

Nice fragance but weak..leather,pink pepper and violet is dominant but it dosent last long..on my skin and i dont Get any star anis at all.. Longevity 6/10 Sillage 3/10 Total 6/10 because its a Nice smelling fragance

Nose Note #658 I've worn it twice and it gave me a headache both times. It doesn't feel like a beast, but it is an absolute beast. I have Encre Noire Extreme and Terre d'Hermes, but I have to disagree on the comparison to both. It's nothing like either of them or a mixture of two. It has a very strong leather note that's hiding under vetiver and for some reason it reminds me of Mancera Red Tobacco, not note by note, but the overall feel of it. It just feels like another monster from the houses of Mancera or Montale. I'm picking up a lot of violet here. A complex scent that's better in the scent trail. But I cannot stomach it. May be discontinued. Be careful with the amount of sprays. Don't spray close to your head. 6/10, difficult for me, but it's a quality perfume
