Royal Oud

Ooo, my goodness , this here " Royal Oud " a perfect scentual on me. Korloff is not a middle of the road brand { with some high end niche scents in the hundreds of dollars } however they do have in my opinion some rather unique scentuals at a rather decent price $30.00 ~ $60.00 ~ I have 3 so far , before going top tier price wise .This " Royal Oud " is where the middle ends, this should be top tier all the way . I was looking at something else and Korloff popped up , it has been in my want " list " for at least a year or so . I came here looked at the notes again and " went in " blind " I am getting all the woody scents in a mix of rose , a tad of vanilla { not overwhelming } a bit of patchouli and musk . I love this , it is well done from first spritz , I got no alcohol at ta'll , no cloying waft of a scent that made me choke up . It is what you spritz . This is the best , at this price point , Korloff did this right. I'm so " jazzed " I can't say enough I'm so in " awe " . I placed this on after bath today , it took one on wrist {s} and a spritz on cleavage and neck , I've done up too 6 spritzes { so I can enjoy all day } As far as longevity / sillage I don't care , I'll spritz again and again if need be . I only get a bit miffed if I pay for a high end brand and projection and lasting power are weak , so is not worth the price . I might have to wear this a few days just to please myself ~ ///=^} ~ I'm looking into more from brand , for sure . I got this under $30.00 . I love scents so much , they have always make me happy , this one makes me ecstatic . A really nice milder take on a " Rose & Oud " for those that don't like a heavy perfume baring those main 2 notes ~ A keeper for me ~ ///=^} ~ . Edit : 6/21/20 ~ It does have staying power , I spritzed early a.m. it lasted all day and night with a spritz to each wrist , décolletage , and on my top , so I could get a whiff for me . It is well worth the price , and trust me if you like those notes you'll appreciate a less expensive , non cloying scent { to me , on me } , it is strong on first spritzes if you did what I did and spray all at once . It only lasts a few seconds though . I just went and bought another bottle , and as I stated this is one in my opinion that can be worn year round , just spritz a couple of times instead of 4-6 times ~ ///=^} ~

807 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Turning my attention back to some under $30 fragrances, this was a brilliant blind buy, worth every penny and more. A nice warm woody oriental without the over-the-top rose note that has ruined a number of oudy scents for me. Great performance. All day longevity, good projection, but with restrained application this will offend no one in the car pool or elevator and it will draw compliments (did for me). This is an extraordinary quality bargain scent I can recommend without reservation. I would put it on the same level with Blend Oud's great scents. Nothing animalic or barnyard about this oud. Definitely matches up with much more expensive oud scents in my collection.

wonderful wonderful fragrance, I usually take my time when I try a new perfume, first I try it on the paper strip, then on my skin and just I give it time to test its' longevity, BUT here, the situation differs, from the first time I smelt this in the store I just had to have it; woooow, 100% an Arabian scent, great combination between Oud and rose, the quality of Oud here is so pure, definitely not a good option for people who are not into woody Arabian scents, not a blind buy! just to mention for the price point I was more than satisfied :) all in all, I give it 9/10

A very traditional Middle Eastern rose-oud, but this one comes across VERY masculine! It's sooo good! If you're familiar with the rose-oud combination and looking for an option on the more masculine side, you can't really go wrong with this one.

Ohhh this is the sweet oud I have always been wanting. Delicious. It would smell so attractive on men or women but leans sweeter. It doesn't smell cheap.

IMHO...to my nose/skin....This is a rosy/light oud combo fragrance....but NOT the "typical" rose/oud combo that is out there "flooding" the market. Is it unique...???....No ! Does it smell good...???..Yes !! I personally compare it to a less sweet Avon Velvet type scent. (I love Avon Velvet). The oud is light...no crazy woodiness/or barnyard at all.As the scent dries down,I find it does become "sweeter". It is smooth...no rough edges,IMO. They also make an INTENSE version..(not here in database). For the low price and smell...I have no regrets.

After I got used to the variations of oud, which load the market, I understood this fragrance."Royal Oud" sounds like a round woodsy accord with a soft incense and a distant echo of a rose. Rises associations with non-sweet dark chocolate and fallen leaves. Very good for autumn. However, it took time to get used to it.

Beautifully smoky rose oud scent, leans quite woody. Definitely unisex, projects intensely and lasts all day on skin and double on clothes. Perfect for autumn and winter.

I prefer perfumes that lasts long and has a moderate to heavy sillage. In both areas this was a let down. The notes as such is very nice and pleasant though.

Royal Oud is predominantly oud and rose; the classic eastern duo. The oud is about what you would expect at this price-point, though it is pleasantly astringent and woody without smelling like a bandaid. It is bright and clean, not barnyard-y. The rose is as plush and red as it should be. The nutmeg is prominent the whole way through, lending a much needed bit of complexity to Royal Oud. It's richly textured and spicy, and lightens the rose-oud considerably. I have not had a mainstream oud with this much of a spice kick to it. Very nice! A touch of hazy warm sweetness peeks out in the drydown, and smooths out the oud-rose-nutmeg. I also catch a very saffron-y salty sharp scent at times. Royal Oud smells very pleasant and expensive. Arabian without a doubt, and unisex as well! Royal Oud shifts between mostly masculine to mostly feminine every few minutes. I prefer the uncompromisingly Arabian initial scent to the more agreeable drydown, but overall Royal Oud is a solid 'like'. I also find that Royal Oud performs much better when sprayed over a large surface area. It is much smoother and smells better blended that way.

Korloff attempts a neat Oud-based cologne with rose & Oud as the main notes. It reminds of Noir de Noir (by Tom Ford) & Oud Oriental by S.T Dupont. However, it has average projection/longevity. It's a 6.5/10 for me if I'm inclined to rate it. UPDATE Initially, I felt its longevity and projection was overly poor. But alas, I was wrong! Yesterday (May 5th), I wore this to the office around 8:49am and by 3:27pm, I was still catching a whiff of it! Hence, its longevity is impressive. It's now an 8/10 for me if I'm inclined to re-rate it.

Could be a very good clean oud scent if it wasn't for the rose. Unfortunately my personal taste can't take any rose but the oud in this is not skanky so I like it a lot. Also the rose note does not stay too long which slightly increases my appreciation on this one. The fact that it has a sweet base with sandalwood-vanilla combo makes this a better scent in the dry down. Performance is average to good. For clean oud seekers who don't mind rosy notes this can be a good alternative.

I ordered a backup of Korloff Gold & was sent this by mistake. It's ok. I went through the Arabian Rose Oud phase about 5 years ago, so I have probably 10 perfumes that smell JUST like this. TF Noir de Noir it is NOT. Nothing comes close to that one IMO. If you do not have any of those, I would get this. It's very pretty, just overdone in my wardrobe.

Blind bought this one for 40 USD (shipping included), correct scent for this price, rosy mor than Woody but wearable for a man in cold days. Moderate projection and poor lasting unfortunately. Nice bottle for those who give importance. No regret

Pleasant oud perfume I call a non_irritant cold oud blend, rose is also used in a nice concentration, can be used for winter season and colder nights.

Very high quality delicate strong long lasting oud-rose-santal perfume. Close to FranC Oliver OUD TOUCH and Dior OUD ISPAHAN

VERY GOOD AND WITH ROSE IN THE OPENING THIS IS BETTER COMPARED OF OTHERS OUD PERFUMES AVAILABLE IN MARKET.

weak -i mean really weak...like less then an hour and its gone..geez..also pretty blah and off putting..
