Un Soir A Paris

This is essentially a peachy soft sweet floral with marshmallow and tonka on the drydown. Still, even though I have other new perfumes to wear, I keep putting this one on because it continues to intrigue me. Yes, it’s incredibly sweet — at least my opening impression was, for a while — but it’s also spicier than I thought, more ambery than I thought, and what I would describe as “radiant”. I guess that’s a night in Paris, city of light. First thing I notice on skin is the peach but it’s not a sweet juicy peach like you get in most floral fruity fragrances—rather a more subtle, smooth peach. There’s something that keeps it from being too cloying, probably the lemony coriander and the opening citruses, which I didn’t get at all on my skin but I do notice on a paper strip. On paper, it opens with bitter grapefruit and citric tartness before the peach and marshmallow come floating in. The marshmallow gives it a drier sweetness, not exactly powdery but like sugar offset by patch. It’s the same sort of airy and clean patchouli and sweetness combo in Mugler’s Angel Eau Sucrée but it isn’t like original Angel’s “dirty” patchouli at all. Heart notes: the peach steps back for something more spicy and floral but not distinctive jasmine or rose, more like a blended combination of green jasmine and fruity rose. It’s heady but not overpowering. There’s a spicy warm quality to it, too, not quite incense but not quite edible even though the marshmallow and peach underpinning the floral here makes it all sweet and floaty. The drydown is mostly tonka and patch, which I am thinking has a slight tobacco cast but that is probably just in my head because that’s what I imagine a night in Paris would have. But I can see what Korloff was going for. Korloff is an underrated and rarely mentioned house, at least from what I’ve seen in the forums. Their perfumes are well-constructed and classic blends that sometimes have a surprising twist. They generally have good sillage and longevity and Un Soir A Paris performs as expected here. It’s a good springtime scent that could also work in fall and perhaps even winter. It didn’t go exactly where I expected it to go but it arrived at a better place than I imagined.

This is my first fragrance from the house, another blind buy, and I’m very happy I decided to try it! Sweet, with marshmallow being dominant, the longevity of this is unbelievable! It’s been 11 hours already since I sprayed it, and it’s still going strong!

A very good dupe for La vie est belle edp! The patchouli is quite dominant...top sillage and longevity!

I love marshmallow note in perfumes and I also like Rihanna rouge,I thought trying a marshmallowy rouge sounds interesting but when SA sprayed it in air to test it for another costumer I wanted to gag so I decided to pass it and forget trying it on my skin I could see nothing similar to Rihanna rouge or gucci rush.all I could smell was a chemical blast of plasticy sweetness.all the notes seemed to be plasticy and the result was something smelling very much like the fake snow sprays used in children's birthdays.it also seemed to be very intense and heavy in sillage By the way I love sweet scents and I love plastic like almond,vanilla scents.yet this made my stomach turn and gave me headache ❤ برای من شدیدا یادآور بوی برف شادی بود.هیچ شباهتی به گوچی راش یا ریحانا روژ حس نکردم

Why are you getting such a bad rating!! This is actually very good, sweetish but not cloying. Good quality ingredients and long lasting power.
