L'eau de Parfum 20

There's a brand of body care products called Nubian Heritage available at Whole Foods and independent health food stores, which has all natural or mostly natural ingredients, and is formulated without parabens and other things which are considered harmful by some. While this is a pretty common claim by brands targeting a certain more health-conscious group, the thing that makes Nubian Heritage stand out to me, is the scent of their products. A handful of them smell like dupes of designer perfumes! How a brand could be so natural and also have the exact synthetic aromachemical blend that results in "Flowerbomb" is a mystery to me. Perhaps it's because the non-fragrance components are the natural ones, and the fragrance itself doesn't make up a very high percentage of the overall composition. Having almost no experience with Korres, (aside from a cap-sniff of their Mango Candy in TJ Maxx several years back, I was surprised to discover that like Nubian Heritage, they are a mostly natural brand that puts emphasis on omitting anything potentially harmful from their products, but then a good deal of their scents are blatant dupes for popular designer fragrances. I guess the market is there for people who wish they could wear Flowerbomb, but are afraid of the "chemicals"... L'eau de Parfum 20 for women smells like a very concise dupe of Burberry Body. Whoever drew that comparison in the "smells like" section of the perfume's Fragrantica page was spot on. This is an ambery peachy rose with a powdery, clean-musky boudouir facet. It is actually not rosey in the sense I was anticipating based on the notes. This is not a rose soap, a fresh rose, or a potpourri. It's more like a rose-peach jam scented face powder. Longevity and projection are quite good so if you like Jessica Simpson Fancy Love, Lancome's Tresor, and Burberry Body, as well as Liaisons Dangereuses and Good Girl Gone Bad By Kilian, this one has maybe less potentially harmful ingredients, great staying power, and it was literally $9 for 50 ml. at Burlington. I'm kind of curious about why Korres would want to dupe Burberry Body as THE scent for women to commemorate their 20th anniversary, but perhaps further exploration of their house will give me greater insight. Did Burberry Body sell well? Right now it's all a little strange to me.

My go-to summer scent..perfect for warm weather but also for spring..it contains rose without beeing toooo sweet as most rose perfumes are..smells like a morning in a garden full of baby roses and herbs..I suggest it for present or a blind buy as it is quite inoffensive and it gets so much complimented both from men and women...Also, the brand(Korres) focuses on creating natural, eco-friendly products!!!

My bottle looks the same as shown in above picture except that the color of the text is metallic red instead of peony pink and the box print has dark red roses as the backgroud. On the box it says: dark rose, whiskey, amber, and it does smell so. I don't smell anything powdery or musky (which I hoped for). Maybe just a different formula for a limited time. Smells natual (86% natual content as claimed on the box). Longevity and sillage are both moderate.

I happened across an open bottle and sprayed 2 or 3 times on each wrist, nearly the same spot. A nice mature rose, flawless smell, simple but nice. Too bad I cannot sniff it on my wrist anymore after just two hours. Weak, even for Korres.
