Premium I L'Eau de Parfum

This is a very warm, spicy parfume. I feel like this is a mix of few fragrances already out there, but I love it anyway. The beginning is very vanilla like, very similar to La vie est belle or Flowerbomb, but eventually patchouli kicks in and I feel like this is a younger sister of Tom Ford's Black Orchid. It has a strong sillage and lasts very long.

This is straight up the valley of la vie est belle.It is not a dupe for it, it is just of the same genre if I may say so. It is a heady patchouli vanilla and powder and overly sweet, like -it can hurt your teeth sweet. I love its powderiness (yes I am making up words here) and I love the vanilla combo, but all this artificial vanilla sweetness combined along with the freesia white floral note just make this 'too much'. If only they took the sweetness and patchouli notes a couple of notches, this would be a 1st class elegant scent. As expected, it has really good sillage and longevity and it stays on clothes beautifully (better than on the skin that it can be 'too much'). A like, but not a love for all the aforementioned reasons stated above. Definitely a winter, cold weather scent, and best applied very very moderately and from a distance on the inner part of your arms (1 spritz, no neck or chest, it would be too much to bear). You've been warned.LOL

I picked this up in Greece a few years ago, and I enjoy it. I really like Korres fragrances in general. This is a patchouli heavy scent, very similar to a lot of popular fragrances currently on the market. This smells extremely similar to Flowerbomb. I own both, and side by side you can really smell the similarities--but I think the Korres pulls a bit more freesia than Flowerbomb. Also, on my skin, I get more vanilla in the dry down from Flowerbomb. However, they are so similar that I don't think that you would need both in your collection. This is great for cooler weather, and lasts all day. I get a lot of compliments with this one. I've tried it in the Summer, and for me, it's a bit too cloying.

I like this scent, but it is too similar to other perfumes on the market. This scent is sweet and candy-like with a hint of powder. I have to admit that I can't smell the patchouli at all. Maybe that's a good thing. I am also not smelling much spiciness. It reminds me slightly of YSL Parisienne...but it reminds me slightly of many along that line.

After a long hiatus from Korres (still reeling from and unclear about my strange attraction to Pepper Jasmine Gaiac Wood Passion Fruit Korres for women and men), I decided to take another plunge into the mercurial, yet familiar waters of this house again. This time, my eyes take me to a 1.69 oz/50 mil bottle of "L'eau de parfum I", cello-wrapped and untested for less than $10 @ TJ Maxx. So, where will this adventure lead, I wonder. First off, as a blind buy the price is initially what drew me. After sampling, I am taken in, hook, line and sinker. How do they do it? I am once again amazed at the depth of yet another fragrance produced by Korres that are made of so few ingredients/notes,yet left with the feeling it easily outdoes many others with 7+ notes. A nice, balanced blend of vanilla, patchouli, and freesia are what stands out the most for me, with the citrus-y sharpness of the bergamonts' role very muted. I really like this blind buy. So much so that I am game for trying L'eau II. This is a non-gender parfume to me, and is an easily snugglable scent, that does not project, but just stays in close quarters, unless you have a heavy hand. While I like it very much on me, I feel it would really shine on a masculine skin.Tested in cooler weather, so don'n know how it would perform in warmer weather. Win-Win for this blind buy!
