Saffron Amber

This is my second review after getting my second bottle of this amazing gem. To my nose this is a smoother, more luxurious Tuscan Leather with a heavy dose of rose. Also, kinda BR540E + TL with rose. To be clear, this is not a clone in any way of anything I’ve smelled before, just saying there are strong similarities. Performance on both my bottles is very strong, 2 sprays projects for hours and is very noticeable for 8+ and till the next day on clothing. Worth picking up at any price, i usually see it new online for around $50 for a 50ml. I will never not pick this up if I see a deal on eBay, hunting for a third bottle. Completely unisex, but it’s very bold and sexy, too much for the office.

This one really remind me of Black saffron from Byredo. But side by side with Byredo black saffron, they do not smell the same. this start sharp Cirus Saffron and cardamom. BS start soft fruity saffron. Is this a a cloned perfume? No Remind me of : Black saffron, Godolphin parfums de marly? YES. more leathery than Black saffron? yes. actually the dry down remind me more of Godolphin PDM & Montale aoud leather. If you are into leather perfumes then buy this one: a high quality & a cheap price. Highly recommended.

I have samples of Black Saffron by Byredo and totally as a coincidence, I ordered this off eBay. I've always loved Korres. Holy moly. This smell JUST like Black Saffron. Not leather in the notes, but I swear it's very similar. I actually like this more.

I picked this up at a discount store, and it's the best $9.99 I've spent in ages. The reviewer below compares this to Dedcool 03, and while there are subtle differences, I agree that they are remarkably similar. As the name promises, there's lots of saffron that smells almost candied due to the berries. It's like a saffron liqueur. Rose and violet add a beautiful velvetiness and femininity, and it's rounded out with warm amber. This ended up being the perfect fragrance for the holidays. It smells far more expensive than it is, and it would could easily pass as a mainstream-leaning niche fragrance. Korres is also cruelty free, which I appreciate. My only (admittedly superficial) complaint: the cap resembles an oversized toothpaste cap. I don't care much about packaging usually, but it's notably cheap and ugly. But when the cap is far and away the least appealing thing about a fragrance, there are much worse ways to spend $10. Korres deserves better than its discount store fate, in my opinion, and is well worth keeping an eye out for.

First of all, I love this perfume. It’s affordable and not cloyingly sweet. Here’s the best part: it smells just like Dedcool’s popular fragrance called “Blonde” - which in turn is supposed to be a dead ringer for Byredo’s Black Saffron. Either way, I think this perfume is a lovely unisex creation (leans feminine) with moderate longevity. Upon spraying, I noticed an initial medicinal sweet smell which is characteristic of saffron. This note lingers for hours even after the perfume turns into a skin scent. As the top notes dry down, the amber becomes more obvious. I believe it lends a warm, cozy character that is simply addictive. There are definitely hints of berry every now and again but it is well blended and not cheap. Seriously, if you like Black Saffron but can’t justify the price, try this! This was a delightful blind buy. Don’t sleep on this.
