Vanilla Freesia

During a recent trip to Zakynthos, Greece, I have discovered Korres, which is a Greek brand that makes and sells skincare, body care and perfumes. At least that’s what I discovered so far from them. I have sampled a few of their fragrances, they have a good range, varying from fresh floral to gourmand, marine, woody and vanilla focused. Case in point, Vanilla Freesia. Which is actually more of vanilla plus peach, green tea, jasmine and patchouli. Yes, it does have hints of freesia flower, litchi and bergamot but it’s mostly a fruitychouli with a good dose of vanilla. A perfume for the sweet, gourmands lovers. That don’t mind patchouli too, it’s quite prominent. All their fragrances are EDT concentration and come in 50 ml bottle around 33 euros per bottle. For the price, Vanilla Freesia is totally worth it. Compared to few other I have sampled, this othe most longer lasting and the most projecting one. Might worth get a bottle, I really do like Vanilla Freesia!

i think this might be my new favourite! i like it because despite it saying it's floral it kind of just smells like a verrryyyy soft vanilla on me? a lot of vanilla scents get a bit too sweet quickly but this one is really polite! the opening notes are fun and they aren't too florally, plus i really love the drydown. buying this was an impulse decision but it might be the best one i've ever made!!

I enjoy this scent and it lasts a long time on my skin, the sillage is good, enough for others to notice it, but not intimidating. I can smell it after6 hours. It is high quality EDT, no phthalates, no parabens. It is sweet fresh vanilla. The bottle is beautiful and elegant. I like the poetry or story printed on the back of the bottle.

Reminds me a lot of Flowerbomb with hint of vanilla or sweeter version of OG Cat deluxe original. Due to tea scent it also reminds me of Playboy Play it sexy, but less spicy more vanilla. It is starting as vanilla and freesia going into sweet tea scent.

One of my new favourite perfumes. I love how fresh this smells, it's the right amount of sweetness for my taste and it's long-lasting on me.

I just randomly sprayed this perfume at the store, not expecting anything but suddenly my nose was smelling Flowerbomb. Two hours later I even smell a tinyyy hint of Delina. To break this down: When you first spray this, the most prominent notes are Vanilla, Peach and Tea and just an almost identical copy of Flowerbomb. Now it’s been about 2 hours since the initial spray and the most prominent notes to me are Vanilla, Litchi and Tea and this now smells like the sister of Flowerbomb with something in it that reminds me a a tinyyy bit of Delina as well. Overall I think it’s definitely a really pretty perfume, but I do prefer the actual Flowerbomb and Delina. I would give it a 7.5/10.

I like it, it's a flowery-sweet smell that works in most seasons imo (a bit less for winter). The scent lasts quite well on my skin. I did 2 sprays on my elbow and i kept smelling it all day. I didn't have anyone around to ask for their opinion but i'd say it radiates quite well based on how strong i smelled it. It's a bit sweeter than i expected, but it's still ok for me. The freesia part has a bit of 'green notes' too and is a sadly overpowered by sweet vanilla (i adore freesias so i hoped i'd get more of it 🥲). Overall i like it but i wouldn't recommend it if you don't like sweet and/or floral perfumes

For me, the opening features a strong patchouli note, along with the freesia. The vanilla comes out more in the drydown, and I get some of the peach as well. This is honestly quite nice and well-performing for the price. It's certainly not the most original scent I've ever smelled, and it smells very familiar in fact, but I like it for what it is, which is a relatively cheap perfume that's perfect to bring in your bag - whether you're going for lunch with friends, heading into a meeting for work, going out to the club or even just hanging by the beach. I like it! A solid 8/10 for me.

cant speak to the notes or the smell alikes, but for me this is a very simplictic foodie vanilla. its a bit warm in the way vanilla is out the bottle. thats about it for me really. soft, more foodie than not, very slight fruit of some kind, though not a fruity scent. i am at the 4-5 hour mark and the scent is still decent on my skin

This is a slightly better version of Flowerbomb. It’s a bit fruitier but essentially flowerbomb. It has no pear but I also think someone that likes La Vie est Belle would like this one. At first I didn’t get the patchouli so much but I get it much more now. It’s a much better Flowerbomb to me that’s all I can really say.

Really beautiful good quality scent, especially for those who love vanilla, but don’t want to be overwhelmed or suffocate on hotter days. It’s not the heavy, creamy vanilla kind, more like drinking a refreshing iced tea with vanilla, in a garden of spring fruit and flowers

Best thing to spray in the bathroom after a bath or a decent sized dump.

This is an ultra candy sweet, straight up dry powdery peach. Dried out peach, vanilla and freesia is all I get, no tea or bergamot to lighten and brighten. I really dislike it, it's so sickly. It isn't a projection bomb but it does last and last, I got eight hours from it and wished it would hurry up and disappear. I own, love and regularly wear Flowerbomb EDP, EDT and Extreme and this smells nothing at all like them. Their sweetness is better blended, more warm and rounded. This is very linear and doesn't change over time. The rose note lifts the FB composition in my view. So if you are looking for a cheaper dupe for Flowerbomb this isn't it. If you like the Ruby Orchid Flowerbomb though, go right ahead. That has a very similar ultra sweet peach drydown. While I personally don't like this perfume, it is strong and long lasting and a very reasonable price I'm just disappointed it isn't the OG Flowerbomb dupe I was hoping for.

Spicy vanilla, a little musk and slight sugary notes when sprayed - I do love this scent but it just immediately disappears on my skin. I've tried layering it and using as a hair mist but nothing really helps. Such a shame as I have been looking for an affordable long lasting spiced vanilla for a while and thought this might be it.

To my nose, this is very earl grey tea vibes, which I don’t hate as an avid lover of earl grey. It’s nice and sweet but more fresh sweet. I don’t reach for it much, but it’s definitely nice and the price is great. Also not bad longevity for an EDT.

Musty potpourri at Grandpa's house. Spice and spice and musty old refrigerator with a touch of dollar store vanilla room deodorizer. Overpriced for what you get in my opinion.

smells kind of like a hospital.... a little hokey... pokey... generic...

A lovely, sweet (but in a fresh, not gourmand way), well-balanced, vanilla-forward fragrance for the first 30 minutes or so. The tea/freesia combo overtakes the fruits after 30 minutes or so, after which it is reasonably linear. Extremely intimate, people around me have needed to sniff my skin deeply to smell anything even with 5 sprays, and it's easily overpowered by a shampoo or bodywash. Very little patchouli and very light, I like to wear this before bed or as an overpriced clothes/pillow spray. On clothes, it retains some freshness and litchi juiciness, and stays for 12+ hours with low projection and extremely low/no silage. Unfortunately, the dry-down is awful on my skin. After 1-2 hours it takes on a highly artificial creamy sweetness, like a mix between dolls head plastic and babies. After 2-3 hours it starts to smell like muted rubber, like an old hair tie left in the damp. I can't for the life of me identify what the off-note is, patchouli, musk, jasmine, peach, and vanillas tend to play nicely on my skin. Thank god for its poor projection! I haven't heard anyone else mention this so I assume it's a me problem, but definitely try before you buy!

This fragrance is pretty. Its quite vanillaey and sweet with a subtle patchouli. Cant smell much more. But...it's impossible to get the ingredients of Korres fragrances any more. That being said l think this perfume can easily be too much in late spring summer. Its very dense and sweet and i think better for Autumn and winter. I also dont think this is office safe.

Way too syrupy sweet and way too much patchouli.

Lighter as in fresher version of Flowerbomb, not so much La Vie Est Belle but same league. Similar to Between Us One Direction also, but a lot lighter, not as spicy and warm. This is ideal for summer too, while I could never wear any of the others in the summer (Flowerbomb and La Vie Est Belle not even in the winter). The tropical almost aquatic, fruity litchi note lets the tea note shine brighter in the opening and that's when I first detected tea in the Flowerbomb type of scent. Up until I tried Korres Vanilla Freesia, I had never detected the tea note in Flowerbomb to actually acknowledge it and see how much it contributes to the personality of this type of scent, even though I was actually smelling it, but now I understood the structure of Flowerbomb better after wearing this one. The tea note is prominent here and I could have never imagined how such a fresh note could fit in such a warm scent, quite the contrast but it works, it's a vital part of it. European brands like La Rive use peach a lot in their formulations to convey a fresher less balsamic type of sugary and deep sweetness, sometimes powdery, when they try to imitate a bunch of heavy notes in the perfumes they take inspiration from, such as Fleur De Femme for Poison Girl and Touch of Woman for Black Opium. Both contain peach and somehow both bring the same type of sweetness as that found in these popular perfumes to the point where I prefer La Rive's versions (Touch of Woman is 10 times better than BO to me). Peach is an intense warm sweet note here too, yet it adds the fruitiness I appreciate in Vanilla Freesia too. So Korres did the same, they utilized peach instead of orchid and rose (which can be too balsamic, too mature, too heavy) so they gave a much more youthful impression of Flowerbomb. Let me say, I hate Flowerbomb, it's one of these perfumes that distract me so much that I get angry and I suffocate. When it first came out a thousand years ago, I was in college, and I liked it, but after I had finished a small sample, it only induced nausea to me. Same for La Vie Est Belle with that powdery iris smelling like a cupcake doll, it's too much in their already intense formulation. I love iris in the L'Eclat flanker which is a totally different vibe than the pungent La Vie Est Belle. Just how I love orchid but not in Flowerbomb. So Peach here works its sweet, powdery magic, freesia being a fresh note like jasmine is subdued and just adds its distinct aroma without its usual ozonic character just like in Flowerbomb and La Vie Est Belle, and I am glad there is no orange blossom here unlike in Flowerbomb and La Vie Est Belle, as it usually gives a sunny, kinda salty sometimes, perfumey nuance in some warm perfumes that would weigh this down and make it too mature (orange blossom is rather suitable in the Alien clan and Korres Kumquat Cashmere). The patchouli lends some moderate spice here enough to make that Flowerbomb connection. Lasts many hours on me, about 8 hrs and I still smell it on me after I wake up and it is delicious (as much as I hate the word delicious lol).

Has anyone compared this to the original 2011 fragrance of "vanilla freesia lychee"? I'm wondering if it is the same and just repackaged for the collection and dropped lychee from the name. The scent pyramid is pretty much identical. Supposedly that one was discontinued but if this the same replacement I could purchase this instead of trying to drum up the original. Thanks! edited to add: i compared this to my original bottle from about 2012, they did smell very close however i did notice how much the scent from my original bottle has changed. But even w dropping lychee from the name, the new bottle smells exactly as I remember the original.

This is the longest lasting eau de toilette in the korres range. Not overwhelming and great for people who want the flowerbomb vibes because the notes are almost spot on except this has litchi which makes this more fresh. I love this for summer and Flowerbomb for winter. Plus if $30 on fragrancenet so you can afford to spray as much as you desire, cheap as chips and great quality juice. Try this if Flowerbomb was too overwhelming for you and you want a little fresher take on this scent profile, absolutely beautiful! Plus this is perfect for work and won't offend anyone but still still leave a little scent bubble around your personal space.

Vanilla Black Tea accord. Floral, feminine, loud but elegant in the drydown without having to wait too long to enjoy her. To me it's an afternoon tea with lovely friends at an old country club establishment, fresh cut flowers on the table, a cup of black tea with a splash of milk and vanilla infused sugar in it, served with scones with peach jam. And great chats ☕️💕and they loud !

A pretty scent, however, I find the patch to be slightly overpowering and kind of dirty on me. I don't mind it in winter though. The vanilla is not very prominent, just sweetens slightly the perfume. Sillage and longevity are horrendous, as with every korres perfume I have tried.

Too baby powdery and hotel lobby scent... pleasant for air bnb freshner not on skin vs clothes use...
