Vetiver Root Green Tea Cedarwood

I absolutely love this fragrance. I had LNDL, but won't get new batches as they are trying to rob you, with what they as for something that don't last 2hours. this one here however is small gem. at least on my skin. I was in Greece and I got 10 sets of this with shower gel. Paid 9.99 for each. Let me tell you Korres really has gr8 fragrances and they smell really nice. For me it is better then LNDL. Why? Well first off all you get earl grey opening, with tea and bergamot and I love it. Cardamom on my skin just comes from time to time, but mainly gives this a warmth feeling in the opening to counter the dry feeling from earl grey tea. So opening is dry earl grey with warm aroma of cardamom. After about 30 minutes you start to feel like this is going towards more warm scent. Cardamom becomes dominant for while, just to give the priority to lavender with resin like woody aroma. It starts to go into soapy direction. Try to imagine pine, bitter sap like aroma with creamy lavender used in candles or lotions. After a while vetiver with oakmoss bring earthy wood feeling, but scent stays kind of sweet. Not cloying sweet like with other tonka bean dominant frags. This is musky type of sweetness, or creamy sweetness. If you ever drink fresh cream you know what I am talking about. Very smooth, non offensive. It creates like soapy bubble around you. Soft lavender soap with strong, woody aroma but earthy and soft at the same time. There is no musk here but I can definitely pick it up. LNDL is more spicy and dry. Woods in there is more like pine needles and bark maybe rather than sap/resin. This one here is much more woody then spicy and much more warm and musky, enveloping scent. My GF loves this and I also received some attention from people in the office. What's also beautiful is that it is very versatile. You can wear it whole year around and both day and evening. This is masculine scent. Not unisex at all. It gives shaving cream/soap vibe through it, so unless your woman shaves the beard is not feminine leaning at all. It performs on me really well. I am getting 4-6 hours longevity and projection up to 8 hours, but after 2-3 hours is really close. And my nose is not getting blind to it. I will no longer get any LNDL, but if I will see this in any store I will grab it and you should to. you can quite often see Korres frags and sets in TK Maxx in UK/Europe.

Nice one Korres! Although I find it hard to match the notes I smell to the pyramid breakdown, VRGTCW opens with a nice warm and cardamom spicy note refreshed by a very subtle tangy citrus undertone that makes it very appealing. While I don't smell tea as in the common tea dried tea leaf smell, I think it contributes to some slight herbal bitterness that makes the opening a bit more mature than your average EdT. Most of the notes I smell actually come up front quite quickly and the scent is fairly linear, maybe because of the high percentage of naturals used here. The scent is refined and rich, very creamy as others have noted, with some controlled green and grassy facets that mitigate the sweetness of the base, which becomes just very slightly powdery in the long run. What I really like, thought, is the sexy, mysterious and mystic vibes it gives off - definitely oriental in that. I never smelled the original LNDL, so cannot make comparisons here - I'm still a scent explorer! - but if this is what is smells like, I know why it is so much loved in the community. Copy or not, VRGTCW is, for me, an excellent scent, that only lacks a bit in projection for those who care about that, but supplement with a nice longevity (if you like perfumes that sit closer to your skin, that is). It looks like people around me love it too, and that's a bonus :) The marketing and package is rather unique - it really pushes the idea of recycling, natural ingredients, environmental friendliness, eco-sustainability - and I like that, including the bottle, though the cap should burn in hell and be replaced by a nicer wooden one. Definitely a love, so happy to have bought this one. I'm tempted to buy a back-up bottle, as I cannot see it listed on the Greek Korres website anymore, although it is still available online. My bottle's batch code is 04084.

While I am not a fan of all of Korres' fragrances, this one is definitely my favorite. I have worn it in cool/cold weather and in warm, and I find it comforting, lovely, earthy, a tad spicey but not cloying. I agree with the reviews below that while this -- and most Korres fragrances -- don't project much, I find this does have a certain longevity, on the skin at least, and for the price it really is a great fragrance. I am not one to spend a lot of time trying to decide what fragrance reminds me of another, but after trying a sample of "Plum in Cognac" from Scents of Wood ($$$), I was surprised how much its dry-down reminded me of Korres Vetiver Root. Of course, the opening of PiC was far different, a fireworks of booze and fruit, but that doesn't last and the vetiver comes out and lasts just like the Korres.

Çay , Vetiver ve Tonka nin oldukça başarılı bir karışımı. Marka doğal malzemeler kullandığını söylüyor. Bunu anlayacak bir uzmanligim yok ancak yumuşak bir yapısı var. Bazı parfümlerde bariz şekilde fark edilen "kimyasal" kokusu yok. Vetiver sanırım tonka ve çay sayesinde oldukça yumuşak burada şekerli havaya bürünmüş. Kesinlikle çok keyifli bir parfüm. Kalıcılığı güçlü değil ama ilk bir saat içinde kendisini fark ettiriyor. Plaj dışında her yerde ve her zaman kullanılabilir. Markanın diğer ürünlerini de en kısa zamanda edinmeye çalışacağım. Yunanistan gümrüklerinde bulunuyor. Fiyatı makul ve keyifli.

Very exciting cologne for men. Love it on my hubby. Refreshing, erotic and intriguing. The scent feels like it ́s "flowing" not static. Like the fact that it is of 90% natural ingredients not many chemicals and not tested on poor animals. Of course longevity suffers due to this fact but I don ́t mind chasing the husband with the bottle around the house and before we go out...hehe Give it a few try ́s before making your personal decision on this one.
