Big Pink Bow

Hello Kitty's Big Pink Bow is a sexy summer party dress of a perfume. It's unapologetically a sweet tropical gourmand, ready for some fun. It opens with a candied pineapple; the coconut and vanilla are also front and center. The pineapple relaxes into a tropical white floral blend. I see that gardenia has the most votes above, but the four tropical flowers are not very distinct to me... if anything my vote would go to the honeysuckle. The coconut and vanilla remain more prominent than the white flowers all the way through the drydown, long after the pineapple has disappeared. I don't smell plastic or vinyl, but if I inhale deeply there is a thin leather note in the drydown, serving as an anchor. Big Pink Bow's bottle is deceptive. You might dismiss it as a fruity punchbowl targeted for teens, but it is actually one of the sexiest perfumes in my collection. It blends with my skin so well, that I cannot believe how gorgeous it is, every time I wear it. That said, it is quite rich. I would not be able to wear it several days in a row. To me, it is a special occasion perfume, perfect for a fun outdoor party. P.S. Big Pink Bow is hard to find now. There were a few flankers produced with similar packaging. This version has a pink bottle or rollerball with a gold head.

I bought three 1.7 oz bottles! It smells amazing! The coconut and pineapple are quite prominent, the leather i smell faintly. This is very much a sweet gourmand fragrance! The lasting power is impressive.

Yes, it smells like VLJ in the beginning but the dry down is not the same at all. I actually get the pineapple and coconut in the base of the perfume not the top. The floral aspect goes away completely and you're left with a totally tropical scent. The sweetness remains the entire time too.

This smells kind of like Victoria's Secrets Noir Tease (which I love).

I like Big Pink Bow. The con is that you can really smell the leather, and I really dislike that. If Leather was taken away from Big Pink Bow, it would smell a lot better. This perfume I won't be waering that often. I prefer Roller Girl more, it smells way better in my opinion. It's sad, because I really thought When I bought Big Pink Bow, I would like it just as much as Roller Girl.

Melted vinyl and fruit is my first impression. I think it’s coming from a leather note (rather artificial smelling more like pleather). Another reviewer mentioned that the leather note was rather prominent for them as well. Within an hour it settles down to a simpler fruity-floral. But that leather/vinyl stays in the background. Without the pleather, it would be prosaic, but the vinyl makes it a little different. In the 80’s there was a fad for fruity scented vinyl baby dolls. That is the smell I get from it. A fruity-scented vinyl doll, left in a hot car. I probably won’t wear it out much. But the smell is curiously nostalgic. To be honest, I bought blind, because it was deeply on sale, and the bottle is cute. Also, mine is the roller ball version.

I just ordered this off of ebay and it arrived today and i am so pleased considering how much money it is now. i dont personally get a leather smell at all out of this perfume, it is veryyyy veryyyy tropical to me. Fruit punch and pine apple are what i get from this. the dry down is very pleasant. the lasting power is moderate. I have worn it all day and got quite a few compliments on it and my boyfriend who "hates" perfume said "keep wearing this one" haha. I think it is worth the price, and i will be treasuring this one.

The "leather" (plastic) note of this perfume makes it unlikable imo. A shame because the bottle is just so cute. I'm happy I got it on clearance at Winner's considering the disappointing perfume.
