Established Cognac 66

Hi I came across this brand of Niche fragrance in new York about eight years ago whilst I was on leave or holiday if you like from work. as I work within the fragrance industry and also passionate about fragrance I always when I am abroad like to take my interest outside of work and discover new and exciting Bespoke perfume brands. I just happened to be speaking to a member of staff in the fragrance and cosmetics hall of the famous sacks or Bloomingdales department store as we had a good discussion about fragrance he just happen to mention this new York Brand witch was founded in (1904). but this brand was only exclusive to the Plaza Hotel on (5th avenue)so I went along and tried quite a few and their were many witch I fell in love with but the one I ended up purchasing was the (Established Cognac 66)as I love sweet fragrances it was a bit pricy though but I have had it all these years. and although I have been back to new York a many a times since then I did purchase another fragrance from this brand as we do not sell it anywhere within the UK. however I used to work at Selfridges Department store at the time in oxford street London in an area where we sold Niche and Bespoke perfumery and I did mention this brand to our fragrance buyers in store. at that time they were trying to bring this brand over to London as I new that it would've been a big hit with customers and also Connoisseurs of Niche fragrance. And the two fragrances I own tend to work well with my pheromones or body chemistry if you like. great fragrances.

Hi all there, I know many would not agree with my review, but here it is. The start of Established Cognac is so seductive, so sexy, so smooth that make you want in a minute a glass of high quality cognac :)) To my nose, that unique start is really remarkable and there are not too many perfumes being so honest and bold right from the first minute - boozy, warm, woody with a touch of little seductive sweetness, coming from something like benzoin. Soon after the perfume calms down, the magic begins - suddenly on my skin the note of incense is showing up in wonderful way and it's getting stronger and stronger... I know incense is not listed in the fragrance pyramid, but on my skin it is truly detectable and very natural. Established Cognac is not too woody scent and it reminds me of something between Bentley for Men Intense EDP, Tom Ford Sahara Noir and L`Erbolario Myrrhae, because of that warm and mystery incense note. Of course, I'm not saying Established Cognac is like them, but on my skin it shares some similarities. To my nose, EC is closer to Bentley for Men Intense EDP, because of the same boozy, warm, seductive start... I know many would not agree about my incense adventure with EC, but that's my nose/skin and that's how I feel about it. I think Established Cognac is a great scent, unique and very warm, sexy, cozy, mature, great for colder months.

Easily one of the most captivating of the Krigler line and while it's price tag is quite off-putting, after one week of sampling the line, I could not depart without this one. I haven't loved a scent so hard since Gucci Pour Homme II. There is something addictive in the dry down that made me purchase this one for my husband, planning on it becoming mine the whole time. Reading the reviews below, I'm shocked by some of the repellent reviews...in no way is this complex juice similar to repellent, or kerosene for that matter. Booze...yes. 30+ year old Congac. Bitter dark chocolately booze in an oak barrel. The top notes wake you up. But the magic is in the dry down. This is a constant wrist sniffer for me. There is some strange addictive note, also found in Homme, that has me wanting to bury my nose into whoever is wearing it. The guy that mentioned ladies love it, I'm testimony to that. But I love it as much on me. Dry down on hubby was completely different than mine. I got some interesting resin/incense and he went a bit more woody/powder but not cloyingly so. This is a winner and I paid double what I wanted to b/c it was that special. Note: since it's so dark from the real cognac used to make it, must be careful on clothing.

Was very eager to receive a sample of this one. On my first spray I was amazed with the vapour of alcohol that was released, almost like fuel or gas. The smell of Cognac stings in the nose initially, but soon dies out into a rather weak sweetish oak scent. Pleasant though, but alas, very weak and short lasting. I would expect a lot more longevity and more Power from such an expensive fragrance, it takes quite a few sprays during the day to get the full benefit from this. All that said, I really LIKE this juice...

My other favorite of the collection. The only one that truly stood out for me! It's very dry, boozy, and woody (I'm talking REAL cognac & oak barrel), also smoky & chocolatey at times!
