Amber & Myrrh

Warm spicy cola wrapped in vanilla incense. Lightly camphorous. Unisex and timeless with a gentle sweetness. This would work well on a young woman, an older man, and everyone in between. It has an elegant and seductive quality that appeals across the board; truly a fragrance for everybody. So appealing and addictive, that I kept applying it and wearing it, even to bed. The scent reminds me of quality resin incense, which speaks to the authenticity of this divine smell. On the "cola" note I mentioned earlier, myrrh tends to have that soda pop-like scent that I and others can't help but describe as "cola". KuumbaMade knocks it out of the park with their realistic aromas for cheap. They may be simple and linear but the quality beats others in their price range. Sillage is poor but the scent lingers a while close to your skin. I feel I get nose blind to this scent before others, but it's still just a wonderful scent. A quality resinous fragrance for the price. I recommend this scent to anyone, the notes are universally wearable and appealing.

This was my first signature scent. I wore it during some of the best times of my life, and I was complimented on it daily. Layered it with patchouli when I wanted to smell a little more sophisticated. Sadly, smelling it only makes me sad now. But separate from my memories and time passing, it's an outstanding fragrance oil. If only it weren't for grief, I'd still be wearing it today.

Amazing in the heat. Just what it sounds like, a resinous fragrance of amber & myrrh. This was my scent for years, since it smells great, is inexpensive, and did i mention it smells great? (Of course, i love resins, so YMMV) Not terribly big silage or projection, but simple enough to pull out the rollerball and reapply!

used to work at a store that sold the brand, i've tried almost all of them and this is my favorite! there's not much depth to it and it doesn't last too long, but it's very good and inexpensive! i like it quite a lot! it sits very close to the skin!

Interestingly, enough this smells like Lurisia Chinotto soda which my sister and I have recently become obsessed with. I’m glad to have found something that reminds me of it. It’s a fairly simple but pleasant fizzy resinous scent with an undercurrent of citrus and caramel. Not too sweet, appropriate in all seasons.

It’s similar to Frankincense and Myrrh, an old fav of mine, but I have been enjoying the sweeter, soda-ish aspect of this. My mom hates when I wear it though she says I smell like a candle :( I’ll def be sticking to F&M as my bedtime signature, it’s stronger and I find it more cooling and clean

These roll-ons are really good. I was surprised at how good, sniffing them at Whole Foods (before covid) and expecting them to not be good. I like this one and the frankincense and myrrh one...some of the others aren’t as good or are very weak, but these two scents are good (and very similar).

Not very like Youth Dew, with its shimmery aldehydes, bubbly citrus, crisp herbs, soft florals, dry spices, and earthy woods. No, Amber & Myrrh is syrup and turpentine throughout. It reminds of other Kuumba blends more than anything else. Coniferous resins alongside a dense "cola" myrrh bomb. Smoky, spicy, deeply pigmented syrupy tree balsams, with olibanum and vanilla. Heavy, thick, warm, very sweet. It registers as somewhat lacking in identity to me. I associate this blend of notes; sweet ambers, incense, vanilla, and pine with autumnal/winter candles. "Balsam Fir", "Mulled Cider", "Warm Spice", etc. This scent feels very traditionally Christmas-y, but not anything beyond that. I gave it to my brother because he loves Christmas scents.

I don't know the myrrh note very well, but this has a fresh, evergreen resinous feel compared to a pure amber. Slightly medicinal, quite hippie, woodsy, with a faint impression of cola? I like using this to smooth down my hair, as the roller is very convenient and the smell is strong on skin.

Fizzy orange Lucozade with woody accords. Furniture polish realness.

Very good intro to American-based 'Middle Eastern' style fragrances. This is a simple warm amber and incense scent. I have the roll on minis. I love how it feels on my skin. It starts off quite oily; which gives it an exotic Arabic flair. There is no flowers, fruit, or vanilla sweetness in this. It is as far removed from mainstream fragrances you find in Macys or Sephoras as possible. The long lasting aroma is a warm smoky incense with a smooth amber that is gooey and delicious. This smells so lovely. It's unisex and can be worn in the evening during fall and winter in colder months. Good for any kind of use- to relax at home with yourself or loved ones, to wear to a dinner date, to church or religious services, or to bed. It is soothing and very much aroma therapy on your skin. The two notes are blended quite well and true to what it advertises, it is very good amber and myrrh (incense). To many it creates the feeling of Christmas or winter time. Wonderful and great for both men and women of all ages.

Okay, so this is a very lovely scent. I absolutely love wearing it, and I feel like I can cast a million successful spells just with a swipe of the perfumed wand. That myrrh is spot on. But have you ever smelled Auric Blends (AB) Majik? Holy sh*t, it’s fabulous. Imagine this scent in a more non-imposing blend, with somehow even heartier sillage; Amber and myrrh with a solid dose of incense and vanilla. Basically, it’s softer than Kuumba Made (KM) with even more head shop vibes. Where’s my vintage flower power VW? I adore both, but my heart will always belong to Majik -pronounced Majjj-eek if you call the AB customer service line... it’s in California ... Still, KM is a nice close second.

It is a great scent but it is STRONG. The Myrrh really comes out more than the amber here, and if you love Myrrh, it's a great and cheap option. But it does have sort of a head shop smell, which I personally love, but if that's not for you stay away. Mix this with the Amber Past from the same brand to bring up the amber a little. Heady, yummy scent!

Similar dark ooey goo as Amber Paste, a little less thick. Much more resinous, and less candy, but it is similar. I actually prefer this to Amber Paste despite the myrrh note which normally doesn't work well on my skin. What I get here is a fizzy cola drink and lots of rich amber. Interesting, but won't be a buy for me.

So immediately this fragrance intrigues me. And it's sweet and hippie; but on me, it's got a sour note as well that is rather unpleasant . BUT. After 20 to 30 minutes that sourness goes away and I'm left with a beautiful smell of Christmas. Love it !
