Arabian Sandalwood

Got this little beauty for Christmas.. To me this smells like a rich vanilla-coconut. It is a dead ringer for the scent of Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla hair care line. I absolutely love it! I can't say that I am getting a noticeable sandalwood in it, but the whole vibe is pretty darn exotic and intoxicating! Edit: Loving the deep, smokey scent this has.. Almost like a campfire and reminiscent of Tokyo Milk's Bulletproof... but way better.

It is a lovely swee fragrance, last 3-4 hours, very pleasant smell, sillage is light.

Is anyone else getting an orange blossom note? This is a lovely fragrance

This smell reminds me of touristy gift shops in Hawaii, with coconut-scented candles poured in wood vessels. Smells like my childhood family beach vacations. It's interesting that some people consider this a cool weather scent. Definitely not an everyday scent for me, but I could see myself wearing it in warmer weather.

Milder than I expected with a name like Arabian Sandalwood. It's a linear vanilla scent with a nice wood back. Smells like a library inside a new construction personal castle in a planned lakefront neighborhood. Wealthy and well informed.

definitely smells more like vanilla than sandalwood. starts a little bit harsh but then evens out. i've been having trouble with the rolling applicator recently so i may start having to store this upside down.

It smells nice, but the sandalwood is sharing too much of the spotlight with the coconut to be called "Arabian Sandalwood."

powdery and dry, a little creamy. very natural and cozy.

There are definitely more ingredients here that aren't listed. I would say cinnamon, a touch of patchouli and some almond. Sandalwood really isn't the dominant note and I get the comparisons I've heard to The Body Shop's Woody Sandalwood, but I find this one much more coconutty and less smooth. You'd think with the coconut that it would be summery but it feels heavy. The notes don't seem to come together for me.

Soft, creamy coconut custard scent. For me, this is just fine. Comforting, easy wearing, sweet. Reminds me of a soothing, rich nighttime skin cream from Avon that my grandma gave me in the mid 90s. It just doesn't have enough personality for me to choose this over other fragrances most days. I'd love to try layering this with smoky incense and woods scents this fall.

This is a lovely sweet sandalwood. It is soft and sweet. There is nothing dry or screechy here. I get almond notes vs coconut. This is a beautiful fragrance. Sandalwood, vanilla, almonds, and cinnamon sitting on sweet fluffy musks. This is definitely a crowd pleaser.

Spices (lots of cinnamon), vanilla syrup, and sandalwood. As it settles, it becomes less syrupy and more dry. Lots of Kuumba’s signature fluffy, powdery, musky base. Just the tiniest bit of coconut. It’s warm and cozy .. good for snuggly winter days.

All I really get from this is vanilla coconut, and oddly it reminds me strongly of a Burt's Bees milk and honey lotion I used to use in high school. Sweet and pleasant, but not sandalwood as I'd expected.

This one is interesting. It's oddly.. powdery? My baseline for what I interpret as sandalwood is something similar to Santal 33-- dry and aromatic, potentially screechy and sharp. This oil is a very soft smell, reminiscent of coconut. Also far more vanillic than the name implies. Not a bad smell, just less woody sandalwood than you'd think. It's nice to use as a base and longevity-booster for other sweet scents. Today I sprayed Lord of Misrule over it and multiple people have told me I smell good a few hours into my workday :)

This should be called something like Arabian Amber Vanilla. There is something I love for the first minute or so when I put it on but then after that it's all super sweet amber, vanilla, hint of wood and coconut. Not for a moment do I get sandalwood from this. It's a pass for me. Instead of buying this 3.7ml for $10, I grabbed a 2ml of pure Australian sandalwood essential oil for around $13 instead.

This started with an odd oily ashiness, like a smoke pit. I was anxious for 20 minutes until it stated to develop into a smooth, sweet, mild sandalwood. Very light and smooth, I think enhanced by the sweetness of the carrier oil. For as mild as it is, longevity is solid--8 + hours. Sillage is comfortably light, very nice for me and maybe someone very close by.

Very sweet woody scent. Not the typical sandalwood type. Lovely but too rough around the edges. I prefer smoothness.

Pencil shavings and Fireball! Mostly in a good way. It’s low brow and comforting.
