Lily of The Valley

I'm trying to connect with my family on a fragrance level. I'm processing some things I can get my hands on, but some are impossible to attain. There are some classics I've smelled lately, and I'm digging up past things to see if I can connect with my subconscious and access scent memories. Apparently my grandma on my dad's side wore "lily of the valley", that's all that I or my family members know. So I ordered this because I'm also into oils lately, and because it's super affordable, and it's a soliflore to explore. Well, I don't recall anything like this on my grandma, but I don't have many memories with her at any rate. But...as a fragrance? This is lovely! It's a very simple, accurate, beautiful LOTV. Extremely true to name, with nothing else added in. It's quite strong, and you get all of your money's worth AND more with this stuff! I applied a couple dabs of this to my wrists, and then to my ear area, and I really cannot believe how well it performs with just so little! The bottle is tiny, which concerned me at first, but no longer does. In all honesty, I'll probably never use this up. It's green, fresh, recognizable and timeless. It's fantastic to simply experience LOTV on it's own, and truly helps you grasp exactly what the note is all about. It smells very green to me, LOTV always has, but I'm more sure than ever about that synesthetic impression now. As it dries it becomes a little soapier and less overtly green, but it's obviously LOTV from beginning to end. It lasts about 4-5 hours on my skin. This truly is the fragrance of spring. I wore it today and the weather could not possibly have been more idyllic! 🌿

More naturalistic than Jessica McClintock. This is a fully-realized, lifelike lily of the valley soliflore. It has the fleshy and indolic touches that make it feel realistic. It's as though I'm sitting on the front porch step during the springtime, smelling them. Heady, nectarous, smooth, sweet indolic white floral; juxtaposed with clean, cold, dewy, fresh, green, musty nuances. As it progresses, the perfume seems to relax rather than intensify; the green notes depart, it becomes more powdery, soapier, waxier... possibly aldehydes? Musks, santal, as well an assertive heliotrope note. The life-like quality is gone after 20 minutes, but 20 mins is more impressive than most lotv perfumes. I will certainly not be complaining about the inexorable passage of time. The perfume smells incredibly life-like and the low price is fantastic. You can always reapply, or simply wear it on clothing for a linear experience. An anomaly. Most lotv perfumes smell like industrial white flower chemicals and soap. How did the brand capture the scent so well? Possibly natural components? The coloring of the liquid is not quite clear, it has a yellow tint. Inexpensive, and it smells much better than the $300 alternatives at Neiman's. A thrilling treasure. Kuumba's floral releases are easily the main draw, they're even better than the ambers.

an amazingly refreshing scent. Smells like tuberose and jasmine after summer rain. I don't get much of the lily. Very easy, inoffensive, likeable and smooth scent for days where I don't want to make a statement. Most people will not even notice you're wearing a perfume. Until that is, they come in for a hug, and get blasted with all the white florals. I can definitely tell when this catches people off guard and they lean in closer and longer to get a better smell of it after freezing for a fraction of a second. If you're not one for physical touch, do not get this perfume, no one will ever smell it unless they are right up against your neck. overall one of my favorite perfume oils.

Smooth, creamy, and green Lily of the Valley. Smells like I have a live blooming plant setting next to me. Scent wafts around you. So real and beautiful. Pretty and feminine. ******** Photorealistic, real thing *********** I'm a lily lover and this doesn't disappoint. I L-O-V-E this underrated gem and I'm smitten with it. Green dewy ethereal floral. Another blind buy win.I have the roller ball. You can really control if you want a light amount or a big cloud. Great fragrance Kuumba Made. Well done.So satisfying. Long lasting and projects. I love this! I am a HUGE lily of the valley fan though. The majority of my FB's are all lotv focused. This is a very green lotv. Definitely not powdery, creamy, or sweet. Green and smooth- not obnoxiously crunchy and overly sharp and sour like Caron Muguet. Normally i like sweeter, soapy lotv like Penhaligons, verging out into Serge Lutens Un Lys and Jo Malone Lily of the valley and Ivy, but this is very smooth and pleasant! Finally an inexpensive fragrance I like! Ans it lasts literally all day!

I have many Lily of the Valley perfumes - Annick Goutal, Yardley, Comme des Garcons, Muguet de Bois to name a few, but Kuumba Made's is the freshest, greenest, and most natural smelling Lily of the Valley ever.LOVE it!

absolutely delicious lily of the valley scent; so wet, fresh, and green. a perfect spring/summer perfume as it deepens in warm weather. it’s light enough to layer with other fragrances, but great on its own too.

straight up white florals, incredible when layered with a citrus fragrance

white florals my beloved!!! this makes me feel so fresh, clean, & airy.

I was immediately hit with strong fresh green lily of the valley. Definitely very green and earthy and photorealistic, like you bent down and smelled the lily right from the ground. It's kind of unisex at first but it dries down very soft floral and feminine. I'm wearing this with Chloe edp, I think it pairs well with rose scents especially. It's not old lady or air freshener at all once it dries down . Overall a very elegant and beautiful scent.

I’ll be the first person to tell you that I do not know my florals, especially white florals. With that being said, if this is an accurate lily of the valley, I’ve learned that it smells like a lot like honeysuckle. Overall, I get that pretty floral with a lot of spicy green notes. It smells natural and realistic. Longevity is 4-5 hours .. sillage is moderate. Not a favorite, but not bad ... just not my cup of tea.

super green! i enjoyed it at the time i used it. it was a lovely spring scent, longevity is good enough too. but i don't like how it is flat- like it doesn't have enough deeper notes to it. it smells like way to soapy because of it. zen rain has the both worlds for me, it's green yet spicy and sweet.

I’m sad I didn’t end up liking this one, I was so excited getting hit with photorealistic fresh lily when sniffing the top of the roller but on my skin the realistic fresh wet green-ness of it doesn’t register through the bathroom air freshener floral vibe. I don’t want to discourage anyone else who might really wear this well, but the combo of this with my skin and my nose this gives me soapy bathroom scent, and my family members who I’ve asked to smell it said the same.

i wanted to like this! so cheap and easy to get a hold of. the fragrance was un-living, un-creamy, painful, and screeching. :c

I would definitely consider this one the greenest of all the kuumba made. Has that white flower scent present in a few others (jasminey) but tinged with something vegetal (but not really vegetal enough to be called vegetal...) Thankfully doesn't have that weird strong cleaning product lime scent present in sone of the water-related ones.

EXACT copy of Crabtree & Evelyn's LOTV / Muget from years ago! Super longevity and the cost of an Al Rehab ! Go for it.
