Water Lily

KM Water Lily is one of those fragrances that fly under the radar; sitting on health food store shelves gathering dust or clicked off while sifting through the thousands of fragrance oils on online shops. But I feel it’s my duty to put perfumistas here onto this little undiscovered gem, though the reviewer below me described it so well! :) Although this is an aqueous floral, on my skin it is more of a “sea foam green” rather than a “true blue” fragrance, if you will. I’d describe it as freshing, beachy, sunny, and perhaps slightly watery. At first spray, my nose picks up a hint of sweet basil and citruses (my guess would be lemon.) It’s a bubbly opening that leads to an aromatic heart of water lily. Even those who don’t like aquatic fragrances (like me!) might like this one. More mainstream fragrances with this vibe that comes to my mind are Armani Acqua di Gioia, OdlR Live in Love, BBW White Citrus, or JM Jessica McClintock, etc. This little beauty stayed about 4 hours on my skin, leaving a faint trace of white musk behind. It also has moderate projection, which is amazing for a fragrance oil that costs so little. I don’t mind throwing one in my purse and touching up anytime I need to. I’d say it can be used any time of the year as it will wrap you in a fresh cloud regardless of cold or heat. Though it is in no way masculine on me, I’d also recommend it as a unisex fragrance as it has those citrus-aromatic, androgynous undertones that makes it perfect for anyone’s skin. You can test and purchase this at health food stores or online stores like Amazon as well.

I've been LOVING this perfume lately; it's a refreshing citrus-aquatic scent with a touch of florals that feels like a cool glass of iced tea on a hot day. You completely get the sense of watery, lush, green and blue aquatics. For the price, the longevity is fine, and I can smell it on myself all day. It's more of a skin scent that's fresh, a bit green and dewy, slightly floral, and just overall lovely. There's a citrusy hint to it that comes off a bit sharp at the beginning, but it really adds to the tea-like qualities. Overall so happy I went with this scent, especially for the pricepoint!

This perfume is a shapeshifter on me. For the first half hour, it's a bright, aquatic lily with a large sillage for an oil, about an arm's length. Then for a while it's a soft, herbal green tea that makes me think of a more natural version of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea. At the end, I'm left with a soft, clean, skinlike white musk that smells more like a brighter Egyptian Musk than a sneezy laundry musk. It only lasts about 4 hours on me, but a little rollerball vial is easy to reapply. It's not my very favorite Kuumba Made (Arabian Rose :) ), but it's a fantastic warm-weather scent.

Kuumba Made lists the notes as bergamot, mandarin, water lily, and green tea. Bergamot and mandarin are very prominent in the beginning, and it is a green citrus smell. 1 hour later it smells like a fresh citrusy floral. One of my favorite Kuumba Made oils.

For me, Water Lily smells very similar to EA Green Tea, and TH Tommy Girl. An aquatic, sweet, green tea scent.

This is a "watery" floral scent, meaning whatever aquatic note it shares with similar oils with the word "rain" or "Oriental" in their names. When I smell it, I feel as if the temperature has dropped a few degrees and the light has gone a little dimmer. Not a powdery floral or overly bright and citrusy-white floral. Hard to my finger on, sorry. Much like this scent. That's not to say it is shy or quiet. Much like a woman across the room, dressed head to toe in soothing aqua, Water Lily has a presence.

I've loved this for a while and it still hasn't lost its hold on me. To me it feels like a true water lily pretty much all the way through, though I do get a bit of the green tea thing on the dry down. None of Kuumba Made's roller balls last more than three hours but for the price it's definitely worth it.

There are lots of comparisons to EA's Green Tea, which I agree with, but I also am much reminded of BPAL's tea scents Old Shanghai and Kumiho. It feels like a clean, watery green tea with a hint of citrus. Super pleasant, and not sweet.

I put this one the other day and i got hit with a wave of nostalgia. I bought this at the beginning of college at the whole foods and i remember being so excited. awe. Very simple and pleasant. Nice for layering under maybe a more watery floral.

I feel like this one out of the whole line. Smells the most like actual perfuem. I smelt the entire line yesterday, at the whole food store. This and the "Pikake lei" were the only two that stood out for me. I feel that this one goes through phases.. I get some citrus, and green tea notes mostly,then a "perfuemy lily. I don't know whats up with the tester bottle smelling different from the actual bottle. In the tester, I got more fresh water lilly. When I smelt it I instantly envisioned myself, twirling around in the spring breeze. I'm not getting that "water lilly" in my bottle. The "perfumey lilly" is a little too dominant for me. But it somehow adds some "oldschool" sophistication. It does smell like Elizabeth Arden' s "Green tea". Which I'm not a fan of. After it settles it turns into, a subtle jasmine incense.

A most perfect green watery floral scent to be wearing on a very hot summer day. It's absolutely lovely. Soothing, fresh, spa-like. In my years of trying out perfumes, this is the only one with green tea that I've ever been able to wear.

Bummer, I was hoping this would be more of an aquatic floral mineral "blue" fragrance. I'm not sure how water lily translates to green tea but I was thinking this would be more ocean di gioia or aqua di gioia in oil form.

Definitely similar to EA Green Tea. Has very sharp lemony citrus so it's not for everyone. Personally, I wish it was a little sweeter, more tea, and less citrus. Very strong for an oil, projects and lasts well
