Disco Darling

i think this fragrance is so underrated. great price. a delicious, inoffensive, and beautiful 'your skin but better' fragrance. on the initial spray, you get the refreshingly energetic green and floral notes, but on the dry down there's a beautiful sweet fruity musk, with a hint of rose to tie it all together. definitely try it on you before you buy! very versatile - great for every day and night, and in my opinion even in summer it still smells beautiful on the skin, if a bit more sweet and green. much prefer it to Ariana's Cloud and the price point of Baccarat Rouge, and while the longevity isn't mindblowing, this fragrance's cost and travel-friendly nature mean this isn't a problem for me. I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about it - especially if you want an affordable starter perfume!

Zero, zip, zilch, nada—this has nothing to do with Cloud (reg or intense) or BR540! But for a bargain $10 for cute little 30ml bottle here in Oz, you get a delightful green apple and musk scent to throw into the ole handbag that's surprisingly good. I’m a sucker for anything musk or apple, so I’m here for it! It’s a little burst of fruity goodness without breaking the bank. Wear what you want. No labels needed.

This perfume is so sweet, juicy, and fruity. It's perhaps a bit too sweet and young. I think it's best for summer clubbing. The bottle and smell match the name very well. It's a fairly weak perfume and fades to a skin scent quickly even in hot weather. It's very cheap though, so that doesn't bother me much. It does not remind me of Cloud at all. Strangely it also doesn't remind me of Darling at all. They are so different to me that I wonder why they are both in the Darling range. I am not sure if I would repurchase this because of how weak and sweet it is but I don't regret purchasing it to begin with. I feel like you might be a little limited in where you can wear it (it's got such a young party vibe) and which weather you can wear it in. That being said, it's just so fun, the bottle is so beautiful (the colour is stunning), easy to carry around, and reapply, that I'm not really bothered by its downsides at all.

Fizzy fresh apple and berry with a little warm womanly vanilla musk. No longevity at all. She gives you a delightful little wink and then she's on her way. I just want more more more (give it all up for love babe). I can only assume this is intentional as Kylie Minogue has never done anything wrong in her life, she is perfect, she is an angel, she is a genius and I'm deeply in love with her. She just wanted to create a scent that invokes longing and desire and she succeeded. Also this was $10 at Chemist Warehouse. We live.

I bought this because I adore Darling, plus I can't resist the hope of falling in love with a $10 fragrance. It smells nothing like Darling and is much weaker. I get a genericly pleasant, slightly sweet scent that is gone from my skin completely in half an hour. It lasts slightly longer on my clothes. I am using it up as a pillow spray (I spray perfume on the edges of my pillowcase before bed each night) and enjoy it for this, but don't see myself repurchasing.

Utterly tacky bottle design (I swear, her creative team is her downfall...) However, surprised to find out they just repurposed Showtime in a new package! It's one of my favorite perfumes growing up. Super pink, super gay, but extremely correct. It's Kylie, after all. Have always loved how fresh it smelled. If it's not the same scent, well they succeeded in triggering the nostalgia. Which is what this cash grab was made for anyway, right?

Has a beautiful strong sweetish scent to it as soon as you apply. Unfortunately the strength wears off relatively fast so I’m constantly having to reapply every couple of hours. This fragrance isn’t for everyone though because my friend had brought the Same one but it smells like grass on her, she was quite disappointed. But if the scent didn’t wear away so fast I would definitely recommend buying it!

This would be an extremely easy reach for any occasionthat just makes you smell nice with not much other description. No fuss, just a pretty, clean smell without being on the musky-skin-scent trend. It would also be very hard to overspray. It smells lightly fruity with the florals being so light that I dont quite understand how they're the top accord!

Could not pass it up for $10 at chemist warehouse, and I wasn't disappointed. Fruit plus ambroxin base, reminds me of burberry her and very good girl. Sweet, young and fun. It smells modern because of the ambrox, unlike a lot of the cheapies. Doesn't last. Spray on skin and clothes for better performance.

If Cloud by Ariana Grande had a sister who was very fruity... This would be it. I really like it, not very long lasting though. Maybe needs more time on the shelf.

Disco Darling is much more energetic and electric compared to Darling, thanks to the combination of bergamot, cassis & the apple. This lively opening blend lasts throughout the entirety of the fragrance's wear-time. I'm pretty sure that there is some grapefruit in here too, possibly also lemon? The opening blend goes from freshly sweet to a warmer kind of sweetness, as the raspberry, soft floral bouquet [jasmine, prony, rose & freesia], and vanilla all gradually develop and mesh with the livelier fruit notes. I also detect a toffee-like note in the background most wears. Eventually the sweetness becomes woodier - as well as the smooth creaminess of the sandalwood, there is also the vaguely balsamic undertone I associate with cedar. The fruit, woods & musk revives the fresh energy that the fragrance opens with, for a breezy drydown. Disco Darling is very pleasant fragrance-wise, and the longevity is around the same as the re-released Darling [around 6 hours] - not truly remarkable, but far better than the original Darling line from Coty. Whilst I think that this is pleasant, I don't find anything about Disco Darling truly special - from what I remember of the original Kylie fragrance line, I'm reminded of Dazzling Darling mixed with Showtime edp [I think - the edt & edp versions of Showtime were different scent-wise]. This is another of those "good affordable everyday option" fragrances, that I don't regret picking up & will wear very happily, but am not sure if I'll ever buy again.

Edit: I had to declutter this one, my nose found an aroma screech to it eventually, that tart-tar I’ve disliked in other scents, maybe because I oversprayed too much! 😞 — Very fresh, fruity, sparkling, good mood inducing and lovely, that first spritz of tart blackcurrant and apple is nice, I keep having a cheeky “Pfsst Pfsst” that I’m almost through a 30ml bottle that my husband surprised me with this week... 💙 There is the undeniable Darling DNA in the dry down which is again warm and cuddly. 🪩

Omg. There must be something wrong with my nose in relation to this specific fragrances. I can't believe no one else picks up what I do. I've smelled it multiple times: my own bottle, and frequently, the testers at the chemist. All I get is this intense plastic/rubber doll scent. At best, I detect musk and ambroxan. Intolerable and bizarre... I guess for the price you can blind-buy it. I wish they brought back Couture rather...

Picked up this bottle randomly at the chemist today, took a sniff of the sprayer & initially smelt that Baccarat Rogue 540 DNA. Sprayed on my skin & was immediately hit by bubblegum sweet fruity floral notes instead, but quite quickly dries down back to that distinctive Baccarat Rogue 540 vibe after 15 mins. I haven't tried Ariana Grande Cloud, but on recommendation of the Fragrance Apprentice I tried Allsaints Sunset Riot which is actually a solid BR540 clone if you wanna spend a bit more than this Disco Darling & avoid that alcoholic synthetic sweet opening & get straight to the business end of the dry down.

A total $10 impulse buy from Chemist Warehouse that actually paid off. It feels like a slightly more mature, older cousin to Ariana Grande’s 'Cloud'—very heavy on the bergamot and ambroxan. While it doesn't have the same beast-mode sillage or longevity as 'Cloud,' my partner really liked it. It definitely leans a bit more masculine.

Berry-apple-vanilla with the ambroxan/amber hit you get from AG Cloud. Not as heavy, but fresher and fruitier with a similar warmth. A little uncreative on the part of Team Minogue, since the original Darling sounds so unique and special (I don't like vanilla but I LOVE Kylie- the boronia and passionfruit interests me though)!

ok i just bought it in the mail after smelling it in store and i will say on the skin it definetly has more of that cloud vibe than the eden kayali vibe, but its like if you layered them together! Definitely a cheap goodie ill keep to wear everyday and wont feel bad about over spraying lol

I don't enjoy Cloud and despise Baccarat Rouge but I can wear this. Lovely and somewhat nostalgic - the opening reminds me of my teenage years. The dry down is a bit too Baccarat, but still distinct enough. A tiny bit of Diptyque L'Ombre Dans L'Eau in it makes it a winner for me.

Very fruity and sweet, smells like a tropical fruity lolly which has been left to melt in the sun, but with a hint of something stronger and a tiny bit masculine behind it- I think it might be the ambroxan. Well worth it for £5 plus delivery.
